The politics of this organization crushed the creative energy of many artists members, tyrannical, unjust showing favoritism to personal friends and the administrators inner circle of artists, rather than promoting open and free creativity many artists resigned membership so as not to be associated with their chosen oppressive politics which absolutely stifles the creative processes. Even though so many creative artists, the administrators create not art, but simply fulfilling their personal agendas on controlling the league thus dismissing open and free Creativity via their personal agendas. I do not recommend any artist joining into this league, but the public should visit and see all the wonderfully creative artworks that True artist offer for everyone to enjoy ️‍

Came here for the CMS art show and was delighted! What a cool place! They had live piano musician, cash bar, and plenty of beautiful art. It was a great location for the student art show. My kids loved running around on the lawn and sitting the glowing plastic seats out front. Looks like it's also the workplace for many artists, which was really cool to see their art on display outside their cubicle spaces. The parking was not great-- probably not prepared for a large event like this one, but we ended up parking on the street and walking up. The bathrooms are single use, and we loved the poetry and murals on the walls even in the restroom (dinosaur skateboard photo). Very cool place!!

Wow, blown away by the talent here! The space is great and the vibe is very welcoming and inclusive. Honestly, the staff here is so friendly. I recommend anyone (artists, non-artists, art appreciaters, families, singles, kids, etc.) to come visit the Charlotte Art League. The events are especially fun with snacks, a bar, live music, raffles, and art for sale (reasonably priced too). Not much in the way of food or restaurants in the immediate vicinity/walking distance, however the heart of NoDa, with a slew of bars and restaurants, is just one lightrail stop prior. It looks like warehouse will eventually have other tenants including a restaurant.

It’s a beautiful art gallery, they also have art booths for $200 a month and they are very spacious. They also offer very affordable events like figure drawing every two weeks and they keep you updated through their instagram account qnd website.

Very open space and cool atmosphere. Parking is limited so come to the event early. A lot to see outside as well as inside. Art installations everywhere! Picnic tables and turf on the side of the building for people to gather and chat.
