Shout out to Sidhant Jain at Chesskings for making life easier when outlet vehicle was stolen. They were super flexible with the vehicles Mpi would cover and there were never any problems delays, or issues when returning the vehicle. Sidhant was always available via text or messenger if the business was closed, and I needed immediate assistance. I was so grateful for having someone available if needed. You don't see many places displaying great customer service anymore. I would say that chesskings went above and beyond in terms of being there for the customer and demonstrating patience, and compassion for my situation. The only downfall is getting home after dropping off vehicle, and having to find own transportation when drop off vehicle. I would give it 4/5 stars. Mostly because of Sidhant Jains customer service. Thanks Chesskings for being there in our time of need, after our vehicle was stolen and needed a vehicle asap. The vehicle was comfortable and had it for a month with minimal issues Definitely recommended. Mpi accredited! 4 STARS They are also non discriminative with masks, and no mention of the jab(vaxx)which was a definite Bonus! Thank you guys!

Booked a car last minute, they accommodated pretty late in the day which was appreciated. The car that was given reeked of wet, dirty clothing which didn't go away no matter what we tried to do! Not sure what it was from but it the smell was awful and unbearable. When using the a/c, it sounded very off as if it was about to break so that needs to checked soon. The security depost we had the most trouble with getting back! It was way past the 10 day mark from returning the vehicle and I contacted them through text, calling and email and was told multiple times they were going to send it but days passed and nothing yet.. was even given advice to talk to customer service even after speaking to someone on the phone! Contacted them for the 5th time about my security deposit and they finally gave it back! Very very frustrating and dissatisfied, will not be renting with them again.

Best car rental in Winnipeg. I was in a very big rush needing a car and no other place in Winnipeg was open but that was not an issue for ChessKings Car Rental! They were SO FAST on replying to me and sending me all the documents to sign and get a rental, within 10 minutes everything was ready for me to pick up the car. After couple of weeks I noticed that the damage deposit hadn’t been returned and sent them a quick text “I haven’t received my damage deposit back yet” and again, within couple of minutes the issue was fixed, just like that! The agility and amazing customer service are great and I’ll definitely use their service again when needed as well as I’ll make sure to refer their service to anyone who asks me where to rent a car from. So if you’re asking yourself “Should I rent from them?” My answer is: Definitely! You will not regret, this is the best in the city.

Totally displeased with the treatment I received as a repeat customer. Was told multiple times I could pick up a vehicle at a specific time only to be told a hour before that time I wasn’t approved and they couldn’t rent to me. When l asked what the reason was I was told “the system did not provide details. Yes get APPROVED or NOT APPROVED. That’s the answer I got. Then I asked if my wife could rent the vehicle instead and they asked if she has a credit card. Yet the website clearly states no credit card required. Very misleading info being told to the public.And when I asked if my wife could rent the vehicle instead they told me they had no vehicles available all of a sudden yet they had my rental for 4:30pm available. Im disgusted by the treatment I received as returning customer. I’ll never use their service again and any potential customers should b aware.

I called yesterday for a rental around 4 and they said they don't have the paperwork on them to know that they would have to call me back. Waited all night and no call. All day today and no call. Called at 3:30 and told someone will call me back. 4:30 and still no call and stuck at work with no rental whi h I explained the day before I need by today. 4:30 I am told it is now not 43 a day but over 100 a day. When said I was told 43 they said sorry that's our price. Why didn't I rent in my hometown for 100 a day yesterday. So sorry I tried to use these guys. Gotta go and find a ride home now. Thanks for nothing

Great service! Not needing a credit card was a huge plus for me. The staff were super polite (and patient with my many questions!). They dropped the car off at the airport and then picked it up from my hotel at my request with no issues! Plus at the last minute they gave me a great upgrade (I booked a 2016 compact and they gave me a 2020 SUV!). All around totally worth it! Look forward to booking again next time I am in the city!

Our stay was wonderful and the owner was incredibly accommodating to our requests! Very quick to respond and check in was very easy. The place was extremely clean, newly renovated and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were spotless and the tv was prepared with all the big streaming services. Would highly recommend spending your stay here. We will be back again! ChessKings was promptly available when I needed and provided me a rental car, when a newer car was available they changed my car without a problem. Tope from ChessKings was always responsive and is a man of word. When I did not need the car anymore and returned before the initial end date they took the var back and refunded me without an issue. Good and reliable service!

Best customer service around. No one else even compares. Great vehicles for great prices and helped me a lot because I don't have a credit card but I have 2 kids to drive around and recently was alone and in an accident totaled my car and he got me in a comfortable warm car with heated seats and all right away. Highly recommend.

Worst customer service I’ve ever seen, they hold your deposit and refuse to give it back on time even time after, worst communication within a company I’ve ever seen. Call centre answers the phone and can’t provide you any help or book anything without the “bosses” permission so really no point of wasting time calling them

The Car has been handed to me without cleaning inside and out full of smoking smell very bad. The car was not bad but there was engine check light in the dashboard. My deposit has been hold and they still don’t give it back so far. I will be forced to see legal assistance. I didn’t recommend to this company.

It was our first time renting a car and it was a very nice, hassle free transaction. Everything was arranged online, which took a few minutes, before pick up and Tope made sure it was a contactless pick up and so is the return. Very convenient! Highly recommended! Hope more people would know about them!

i wish i could give less then 1 star i politley asked for a vehicle with the low deposit. the guy gives me a bill for 900$ and tells me that the only price i can get and the only vehicle they have. very money hungry company and the other guy that gave the review 5 stars actually works for the company.

Well needed a car asap called everywhere with no luck and chesskings made it happen. Ended up buying a car and was able to bring the rental back and they reimbursed me the days that I didn't use hoewoah tell me of a company that works that way I would totally use their services again …

I rented a car 4 weeks ago for one day. They said they would refund my $250 security deposit 2 weeks ago and haven’t. Now they won’t respond back when I followed up. Follow up: they refunded my security deposit shortly after posting this review. Glad this was taken care of.
