This was my 5 the visit and was very dissatisfied. We came for my sister's birthday and early Christmas get together.myself and my younger sister have been to this Chuck's as well as the one in St.Catharines. and were always satisfied and could talk it up anymore. Well, being my older sister first time. She said this... SHE WILL NEVER CONE BACK.. WE GOT seated and the table beside us was dirty over ah hour and half. The dishwasher had to come out and clean the table. We ordered our food and usually it would be out with 20-25 minutes.... It took close to 45. My sister went to the washroom and said to thep person that was waiting,...This is the grossest place she's ever been. The washroom smelled of urine and the sinks were discusting. We then ordered dessert and my sister asked if the cake would take as long as the dinner to come to our table. The waitress said oh no.,20 minutes later out came the cake and coffee. Oh and I forgot to mention that there was no cutlery when dinner was served which took about 10 more minutes. This was the worst experience Oh and the dude waiting for the washroom stopped by our table and said the manager from head office was there named Anthony and he would send him over which he never did. Mind you he was only there for the 4$ beers NOT COOL CHUCK NOT COOL AT ALL!!!!!!

The Good! The fries are excellent and we were not charged for the mayo I asked for, which seems to come with a charge at many restaurants these days. The server was polite and prompt, just seem overwhelmed at being the only one servicing the tables during our time there. As we left more staff was seen hovering. The not so good! The burger (Chucks Burger) was overcooked (I know there are temperature rules in Canada) and had a sort of gamey/spongy taste and texture. The tomato and onion didn't seem freshly cut or at least cut for a few hours (or day) before ( no big deal?). We asked for the steak (PEPPERCORN NEW YORK 10OZ. NEW YORK CUT, GOAT CHEESE, CHUCK’S PEPPERCORN SAUCE.) to be cooked (they asked) medium rare, yet it was well done. That said, the server did remove the item off our bill. The topping wasn't all that great as it had a sort of sweetness that did not go well with the steak. And like the burger, there was a weird texture to the beef as if it's been modified with meat tenderizer. As mentioned above the service wasn't bad, just SLOW.. we waited for 45+ mins to get our meal. I don't believe in "you get what you pay for" (the menu items are cheaper than most spots), as I believe that if you're selling something and YOU determine the price, a level of quality should follow.

We went out with the family on Thursday night and thought we would give Chuck’s a second chance (the first time, the service was an abomination). I’m sorry to report, that the things haven’t improved one bit in terms of their service. While the food is OK, and affordable, compared to many other steakhouses/roadhouses, the service was just terrible. We made a point to look around and be mindful of the amount of servers they had working and there were six or seven servers on the floor including the owner (??) greeting the guests and seating them - and the restaurant wasn’t filled to capacity. We have been to the location in St Catharine’s several times, and the service there is the absolute opposite - Just fantastic. After several mix-up corrections, they finally brought the garlic bread after the meal was completed -at the same time they brought the check lol. As I said, it is an affordable night out for a pretty good meal, but, be prepared to bring your apron and to go in the kitchen and get your hands dirty if you want your meal correct, and served in a timely manner.

We got to our seats we waited 15 minutes for our waitress to ask us about drinks she kept walking by ignoring us some patrons came in after us and we’re served right away with drinks and ordered food. We finally flagged our waitress to serve us we ordered our drinks and food food at the same time to save time. Our food finally came out with our order but it was all wrong my wife’s order was with hot sauce instead of mild and my order was completely wrong we then had to wait again for our order the people that came in after us already had eaten and paid their bills. Our waitress never came around to ask if we needed a refill on our drink since we had to wait so long we got another waitress to come by and assist us . Our experience was terrible. There was manager or anybody that came by to address our concerns. Will think twice about going there again!!!

Nice place for cheap drinks BUT my dinner last night was a Huge disappointment!! I ordered a well done 10oz porterhouse steak and caesar salad. When i got home to start dinner, my steak was a Medium RARE !! Eventhough the black tab marker says well done. I was too upset to call and complain as im not about to drive back to just be disappointed more and another 40mins before i could have something to eat. This is the 3x time we have tried them and the chef had failed 3x times. Last time first time again was under cook and 2nd time was over cooked to crisp. Same as the overcook lobster. This would be the last time id be coming or ordering frm this place. I had to bake the steak before i could it eat it as it was too chewy from bring rare. The restaurant wasnt even that full when we came to pickup our order,only the bar due to the Leafs game. No excuse for the Big oversight! Its too bad coz i was just at Brampton branch on steeles ave and they were superb and lobster was perfectly cooked too. This is the last time hamilton branch will take my money.

If you are planning on visiting this location, DON’T. Went to celebrate with our elderly parents and after being asked to wait for a table, the waitress came back to say sorry but they can’t serve us because she is going off shift and the remaining staff can’t handle any more customers unless we want to wait 45 mins. For what?!. We said we would wait and then the story changed again. . They just can’t serve because there will be more staff leaving, but mind you they are not really short staffed because this is when their shifts end she said. Also, not a matter of not having tables, because there were many. So shift ending at 10pm for a restaurant that closes at 12. We asked for a manager, none on location. An “assistant supervisor’ had nothing of value to add, as she seemed to be neither trained on customer service no manners. We walked out. And during this time 6 people left from two tables. Go figure. Went to another restaurant that was an actual one in service, food and atmosphere.

The amount of food you get for the price is great, hubby bought a burger and couldn't finish it. I bought 2 fish & chips and couldn't finish it, atmosphere was nice, bar side was separated from dine in side & offered eating outside. It wasn't loud and kid friendly, service took a bit long with getting food & had to ask for the bill as our waitress was walking past us (was not overly busy inside) so for burger 2 piece of fish we were there for an hour. And about 35 minutes of that was waiting on food after getting our order taken. Would go again, but would go knowing I'll be there for at least an hour of my night.

We came in to watch the Toronto maple leaf game and a few guys at the bar wouldn’t let the bartender change the channel from the tv. Then someone walks in and asks for a game to be put on. The bartender explained that she couldn’t change it to the NFL game they wanted bc it wouldn’t be fair to us as we asked for hockey. The people ended up leaving bc she wouldn’t change it. 10 min later a guy comes back in with the same people that left and apparently is known for grabbing the remote and putting on what he wants to watch. I found it very bad tasting. We barely ate any of the food and wasted $80 and our time plus missed the game. Why hang Toronto maple leaf banners if you aren’t even gonna play all the games. This location favourites regulars and treats paying customers second. Will not be attending this location anymore.

The air conditioning will not be fixed at this place for 7 weeks from the date of this review supposedly. The service was so slow. Understandably it was a Saturday but the place was packed. It was a rare occurrence that our server came to us. It took our food 50 minutes to come. We kept having to flag down service staff. I had the strawberry praline salad which was good but not worth the wait as parts of it were way to acidic. My friends ordered burgers and sandwiches which came with no condiments in them. They waited for at least 10 minutes while their food was getting cold for service AGAIN so they just walked up to another table and grabbed those sauces. I’m sure everyone was trying their best but I’m sorry to say I will not be recommending anyone to go here anytime soon because we left unsatisfied.

Tried calling order for pick up from your Centennial Pkwy location in Hamilton this evening. Lady that answered placed us on hold for 10mins. Hung up and called back to hear voicemail not set up. Had to venture to the restaurant to put in order. No apology for the trouble when calling, just fluffed off. We then literally waited for an hour and 40 mins to get our food. A couple staff members apologized as they walked by a thousand times, but no manager ever came over to apologize for the wait or with an offer of a free drink or appetizer, nothing deducted off our bill for our troubles. Get home to eat, all was cold. As you can see we got maybe 2 tablespoons worth of spinach and goat cheese dip with 10 chips, for $12.99! Husband had very little fries with his steak, which were hard and cold. Such bad customer service. Very disappointed for the money we paid and lack of attention. Will not return, to this location at least.

Was so anxious to dine at the Hamilton Chucks Roadhouse after so many great experiences at other Chucks locations. We arrived on a Sunday night at 7ish and couldn't get a seating as they were understaffed, couldn't clean 6 or 7 empty tables, including a table w half eaten plates, half emptied pitchers, who likely left early? The Poor staff running around, thanking us for waiting, but couldn't accommodate us. After about 10 minutes waiting, we decided best to dine somewhere else, less the food should be compromised like the service. The place is so small, only about 1/4 the seating as other Chucks that I've visited and enjoyed. Thank goodness.... We ended up at the Burlington Chucks!!

Clearly the only server in the dining room (Male with a hair bun) was alone and trying his best to do what he could. As he was the only person serving the entire diningroom I watched as he did damn near everything other than serve the bar and the tables on the other half of the restaurant. The professionalism while dealing with with tables that were unhappy with the situation was extremely impressive. Whoever does the schedule needs to thank him and whoever else deals with that. No single person should have to do the amount that guy was doing. Simple. Steak was also very good.

Hi, as a family get together for the passing of our nephew, we went to CHUCKS Roadhouse ON CENTENNIAL for a dinner October 14th 2023 at 5pm , there was 12 of us total. We were told that there is no way they can accommodate, they're too busy even though there were 4 tables available he wouldn't put them together. The owner or manager actually shushed my sister out the door. The owner or manager said to leave, there to busy and we needed to leave, they wouldn't put 3 of 4 seater tables together for us, I will never ever step foot in that place again or ever recommend going there, been before and the food was terrible, so I will never go there for sure now . So to all my friends and family, go to Burlington chucks it's a way better location and very friendly.

(Would be nice to have locations in middle of Hamilton and middle of Toronto) Had the 20oz porterhouse for $29.99 this time. In past visits the burger deal. Half price appetizers after 9pm are a great deal too! (If there were more locations, I'd be going more often!) PS --- Hey Chuck, did you know Toronto airport area Hooters and Tucker's marketplace restaurants have shut down... Maybe you'd have some luck there?

Finally decided to try Chuck’s out, after it took over the old Union Burger joint. The food was alright, but geez.. the service was terrible. We went in, got seated, and placed our order around 8:20. 2 Chuck’s Burgers. It took over half an hour to come. Chuck has an Honest to Goodness fee of 3% on all their prices which is fine,But there’s other hidden prices as well. For example it says all Burgers come with a side of fries, but they charge you an additional 1.25 for them. Once our waitress dropped off our food, they never came back to check on us or ask if we wanted refills. Something promising about them is that they offer 50% off appetizers after 9PM, but you have to order a drink. All in all, I still think it’s shame union burger got replaced. 2/5.

We went last night for dinner, we knew it was busy so were expecting a wait. But this was horrible. After ordering it took 45 minutes before the food came out. They gave us the appetizer and the food at the same time. The spinach dip was cold, you could tell that it was just sitting. My pasta was lukewarm and my friends burger was under cooked. Multiple times we tried flagging someone down but all the workers kept their eyes to the floor and quickly disappeared. I could hear from other guests that they were unhappy too. I won’t be going back because from the reviews the service isn’t great.

Service here has really gone downhill recently, we used to come here for date nights all the time. Last two visits here have been completely terrible and turned us off of coming back. Both times we waited almost 30 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us at the door waiting to be seated, then even longer for drinks and food took over an hour for 3 appetizers. The staff are not attentive and do no care attitude. They served other people that came in after us before us and they were finished their meal before we even got an appetizer and drink. Went there on Aug 29/23 around 7pm. Just want to say the food was awesome. 2 perfect steaks and fries done great. Thank you to the kitchen staff. Atmosphere is good. It was our server, Jessica that was non-existant. Took our drink order and brought our drinks then took food order. That was the last time she came over. until I asked for her to come over (on third atempt). Did not come to see how we liked our first bits or to see if we needed drinks. Our food came out by someone else. When we were finally able to order my wife another drink it came out after we were finished eating. Lots of places to eat in Hamilton that have better service.

Got there at 10 after 8 didn’t get seated until 20 after and seen our server a total of 4 times while being there for almost two hours… We ordered our appetizer and drinks and didn’t get it until 30 minutes later, and they were sold out of tequila. After we finished the appy we had to ask to order our food, our server then asked twice to clarify what we wanted and not only does it not come out 40 minutes later but the absolute wrong order, ended up getting the bill without our meals and left. We have eaten here on several occasions and have always enjoyed our dinners. Tonight, not so much. My son's steak was cold, but he was worried to send it back in case it was returned too tough. My burger was ok, but the bun seemed to be stale, and my fries soggy, as if they sat under a heat light for too long. The last time both were absolutely delicious. The Caesar salad was amazing though. Not sure if there is a change of staff in the kitchen, but things were very dissappointing tonight. Went there late at night knowing they had half off appetizers, we were standing at the front for a bit before seating ourself and the booths are really small one of our friends had to pull up a chair on the outside of the table. The food was below average it’s what you expect for half off appetizers the wings didn’t taste unique tasted like a frozen song you can buy at the grocery store and the prucetta bread was hard and all the toppings would fall off and it was mostly just green onion. Cleanliness wasn’t the best table still had crumbs on it and bathroom was dirty and small. I drive centennial every day and just noticed this restaurant now and I see why

Went to Chucks in Hamilton on a friday night after 9pm for half price apps. Had the buffalo chicken quesadilla which was great 5/5, nice big chunks of chicken, lots of fillings and nice n hot. Nachos were hot but kinda scarce on the cheese, crispy chips but still good 4/5. Chicken wings were ok basic wings were kinda cold 3/5. Calamari was kinda over cooked and was a small amount for the price 2/5. Also had the garlic cheese bread, great pull apart cheesy bread however did not deliver on garlic taste 3/5. Spent $50 bucks all in all I Would go back as the service was awesome with smiles and we didnt have to wait long for our food even with a fully packed restaurant.

We were a family of 12 out for dinner, it was a celebration of life for our nephew who just passed. My sister in-law called ahead they said they couldn't take reservations but could accommodate. When we arrived we were told they were too busy and couldn't accommodate even though there were 4 tables available he wouldn't put them together. Not only was the manager/owner rude but was very disrespectful to our family the way he spoke, his tone and words he used. I had lunch at this location once before and the food was terrible and the tables were dirty and we had to ask them to clean it. I would not recommend this location.

So, I am here right now and it took me 40 minutes to get an iced tea and that's all I received after sitting here so far for an hour. It is absolutely freezing in here and worst of all, I must have had 4 servers pass me and not one figured out that I was still waiting to order. It's quite sad actually. The food and atmosphere of this restaurant are always fantastic. Perfect roahhouse sports bar style and vibe. After 9 p.m., appetizers are half off, and my friends and I always take advantage. Sometimes, however, it seems like no one meets customers at the door to seat them. On a couple of occasions, I have just grabbed menus for our group and sat us down at a clean table. Would like to see more effort towards welcoming guests at the door.

Ordered 14oz T-bone well done. It was almost completely dried out. The fries were soft. The sauteed mushrooms were delicious. Ribs & wings combo was good but fries were soft not crisp. Bruschetta flatbread was ok. Partner didn't like it. Joel our server was good. Didn't read the back of the menu to notice the Honest To Goodness Fee of 3.00% added to the bill plus HST and tip. Sat down and ordered. 15 minutes later waitress comes the table because they have no lobster tail, "is just the top serloin ok?" Absolute **** show. Never going there again. Ordered the surf & turf times two. One was overcooked and one was undercooked. Portions were smaller than usual and ordered Heineken beer on draft, which didn't take like it AT ALL.Tasted like Canadian. Complained and said it was definitely Heineken. 100% wasn't. It has a distinct taste. No one came to ask us how was our meal. Could of had an other beer. Poor service, poor kitchen, small portions for $26 a plate. I do not recommend. Go to the wing place up the street instead. Don't go there if you're hungry. Kitchener Chucks was better.

Normally the service is decent and quick, and the food and portions too. Today put me off though. The calamari was a tiny portion and very oily; not worth $11.99. Also, the burgers (which had a half slice of bacon on each) we ordered came after 1 hour and 14 minutes with only 7 individuals ahead of us. The fries were decent however. I'm going to avoid Chuck's here for now seeing how management didn't attempt to make any reparations... instead the server was very apologetic on the behalf of his employer. Oh well, their loss.

Go to place for drinks and appetizers. Appetizers are half price after 9pm. They have enough appetizers for a complete meal. My favorite - wings and four cheese spinach dip. Also, pitcher price is great. One of the best spot in the neighborhood..

Absolutely terrible I’m sorry for the wait staff that work there the 2 ladies were new and no management there. I went for the second time to give the benefit of the doubt. I brought a friend from Sweden we both ordered the steak and lobster. Her meal, the steak was well done and the lobster was black on the bottom. We sent it back and the cook outright refused to make another plate. My lobster was rubbery. Yes both times I got a discount. I’ll never go back to that location ever.

Had the worst food poisoning ever from eating a salad here. I ordered the peppercorn steak medium well with a side Cesar salad. The steak was well done and not the worst I’ve had, but the salad was wilted and somewhat warm. I should’ve sent it back, but I didn’t. I spent the worst 4 days of my life after this meal. Chuck's was good you definitely get your money's worth. Service was a little slow but I feel that might be because there wasn't enough servers. Food was delicious I had the top sirloin steak I would suggest ordering it a little more undercooked to receive it the way you want it. Service was slow, we stood at the door waiting to be seated for quite awhile. We finally asked the bartender if she could get someone. They have 3 tables to accommodate a group of five or more. We had five in our party and was squished into a booth. The food lacked luster but was edible

My significant other and I went here today for our date night, first in quite awhile and let's just say we ended up leaving. We were sat down with no menus, crumbs all over the seats. Then, after about 25 minutes of no one coming to ask us if we'd like drinks or food (we still had no menus) we decided to leave and go else where. Two other tables had been seated after us and recieved service.

Went for my Dad's birthday and everything was great! The 4 of us enjoyed salads, apps and steaks as well as dessert. The Manager Nino checked in on our table and we will definitely be back!

Hey , came for the 1/2 price apps after 9 on a Saturday and the restaurant was very busy. Even though it looked under-staffed. Matao our waiter did not let us down and was on point juggling what seemed like 8 tables. We enjoyed our food and cheap beer Our 10yr old son ordered the top sirloin medium and enjoyed every bite. We'll be back

Great deals on appetizers and drinks. Apps 1/2 price after 9pm everyday and always drink specials. The food is frozen and not fancy but solid for a munchy craving. Soup is most likely Campbell's from a can. The burger combo for $8 is a great deal, but the fries are frozen and mediocre so I suggest getting a Caesar salad.

Shoutout to Michelle!! The best waitress I think I’ve ever had, she’s genuinely an angel and made my dinner so much better! I’ve been to this chucks a few times now and by far Michelle made it the best. Not to mention the half off apps and Leaf’s home opener win made the atmosphere electric.

2 hours and a half for 4 bugers and 4 beers. Service never came with condiments had to find them ourselves. Charges for mayo. Just a terrible experience over all. Server didn't even show guilt for only taking our order and not taking consideration that we were sat for over 1 hour before food came. Like a desert to get a beer too!

Absolutely amazing service, prices, and food. From apps to dessert Chuck's did not disappoint! Our waitress Sam was polite, funny, and such a good sport answering all of our questions. Cannot wait to go back. A few pics of our meals, unfortunately forgot to take a pic of dessert Buckaroo before eating lol, it was Deeeeeelllllish.

Disgusted by the actions of the manager. My family attempted to dine for a celebration of life for my brother and were reject and treated horribly. It was not a large party either. Do not waste your money on such a place, far better options out there!

Been at this location several times. The portion of the sides keep changing, wish they were consistent. Slow service Monday February 24, 2020 evening, waited over 50 minutes for our steaks and salad. Supposedly a staff member called in sick and no replacement found. The food always tastes great at least.

Chucks is one of our favorite resturants. However, they have run out of potatoes a few times. I would love to see them offer a seasoned veggie side option as well, instead of yucky canned corn with my steak.

This location routinely closes it’s kitchen 1.5 hours (or more) early whenever they feel like. The bartender is quick to tell guests off and does it with a smile.
