My in-laws took us here for our anniversary. The location, is clean, and well designed. The Hostess, was incredibly friendly, and sweet. Our server was lovely and personable. We ordered as appetizers, The Lobster Gratin (Fabulous), Escargot (Fabulous), Mushroom Neptune (Fabulous) and Scalloped wrapped Bacon (Mediocre - Scallops were rubbery and overcooked, but the bacon of course hides this) Our Mains, were expedited out by other staff (not the waitress). 3 of us ordered asparagus as the sides, all of which came out on the plate looking yellowed, and spotty. They tasted like grass. AWFUL. Filet Mignon - Medium rare - was cooked well, with the dead asparagus on the plate. Steak (Medium) and Cajun Shrimp was perfect - except for the dead asparagus. ** TIP My husband travels all the time, and purposefully asks for medium so that he gets Medium Rare.. His DID come out Medium Rare as he desired. As he said, these places no longer hold the title for standards on cooking steaks as they used to. So you need to know how to order, because staff are so afraid of OVERCOOKING the meat, that they often UNDERCOOK it. Of course - he told me this tip AFTER I had my order placed, and my steak came out bloody. New York Strip Loin (Medium Rare) (12 oz) with baked potato. The steak was cooked to medium and was not the size of a 12 oz - and the potato was the best part of that dish. Top Sirloin (6 oz) with Shrimp and Scallop Oscar was an utter disappointment. The Sirloin, was a gristley piece of meat hiding under the Bearnaise sauce, with rubbery scallops, and a couple small pieces of shrimp. I bit into the meat, and literally got a chuck of gristle stuck in-between my teeth. ( using a napkin to hide my hands while I had to literally pull it out - embarrassing) ... the meat was raw and bloody. The asparagus was the same dead yellowed old stuff that was on everyone elses plate. My inlaws had the creme brulee - and loved every second. The final bill (NO LIQUOR - Only Perrier, and Diet Cola) was 260 dollars. Absolutely not worth that price tag. I came home hungry, and had to eat another meal, to make up for the 4 bites of meat, and the small pieces of lobster gratin... I would rather buy steaks for 4 at Costco - for $50 dollars, have them cooked right - at home, and served with fresh vegetables and a baked potato ... This is on the Kitchen who clearly do not know how to cook steak properly - and the expediting staff who should never have let those plates leave the kitchen with that dead asparagus on the plate. I mean asparagus is supposed to be GREEN - NOT YELLOWED with spots. I took a picture to show you - I cut the asparagus down to pieces, one piece is green - the rest is .. self explanatory. If it had been a $125 meal for 4 - I would expect lower standards.. but at $260 - you better be able to deliver... and they did NOT.

Had an amazing experience at the Waterdown Keg! Kerry our server was fantastic, polite and very attentive, even while training a new employee who was also doing a great job. The Dining room manager brought us our Lobster Gratinees which were perfect. The General Manager John brought us our sides when Dinner came out and checked in on us and made sure we were enjoying everything. Steaks were cooked to perfection and not a single detail was missed. The whipped 3 Cheese butter they use for the table bread is a new addition that we both really enjoyed! We will definitely be back to the Waterdown keg it is worth the drive!

Service by our waitress Chrystal was excellent! The atmosphere was great. Food, especially for the price, was just so so. The Calamari was disappointing. It included battered red peppers and jalapeños...for some reason? The 2 little bowls with sauce were so small you could barely get Calamari in to dip. It included a spoon too big to fit in these bowls so you couldn't put sauce on your side plate. The 14oz prime rib was 1/3 fat...but very good and nicely done. The steak was cooked as ordered and pretty good. I tried both my wife's (a little fatty and tough) and our daughter's. I must say the steaks at Chucks are much more tender, fat-free, and tastier by far! And half the price! This might sound petty, but the dinner plates' shapes were strange. If you were to place your steak knife properly on the edge, it would fall off and slide into your dinner. You had to put the handle on the table and the blade on the plate. Baked potato and mushrooms were great. Water was good, a full flask with ice. Billy Miner was great and free promo for our birthday girl! Very nice! I was also surprised how poorly dressed most people were. T-shirts, blue jeans, running shoes and caps...we could have been at Chucks. I have been to the Keg probably 50 times over many years, and have loved it, always very special, but now in no hurry to return. Value is sadly not what it used to be, in my opinion.

Our server Gabby was amazing and so attentive as I am gluten free, she made sure everything was going well. She checked on us a few times and was making sure we were in the loop about our food and timing, I appreciated that. Also, I have never seen a manager be so active, Mike was running plates out to people, checking on people, we even saw him wiping the counter in the washroom. This was soo amazing! This is by far our favourite keg location out of all we have visited (hamilton, niagara falls, missisauga, toronto) and we will continue to come to this one.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting a number of co-workers to share me out before the Christmas holidays at this location. I've written many reviews on The Keg mostly the ones that are closer to my house, but I thought I would write one about the Waterdown location. This location was a little smaller than the kegs that I have been to in the past. However that didn't change the consistency that The Keg is good at doing. Our seating was in the bar area by the fireplace which in my opinion is the best seat in the house. Our server was fantastic and very attentive to our needs and was delighted to serve us. The food, what can I say, again consistency is the name of the game when it comes to eating at franchise restaurants like this one. My steak was cooked to perfection and did not have any complaints. The timing of the food between appetizers, entree, dessert and coffee was perfect for a leisurely night out. If you are a little rushed the pace and time in between each phase of your meal might have been a little too long but I'm sure if you let the server know they would be more than accommodating to adjust the timing. The manager even came over to do a check on us which was nice to see. Overall this water down location was probably one of the better kegs that I've been to over the last little while. Just based on the consistency and the quality of food and service I would highly recommend this place if you have not gone.

We go to the Keg all the time, it's one of our favourite spots and have been to this one many times. This time was a major disappointment. We went early on boxing day for a belated anniversary celebration. The night started off well and our appetizers were delicious. I think our server forgot to order our main course though because it took a VERY long time to get our order, to the point where our server came over twice to apologize but offered no explanation. We decided to just get it to go at that point and it still took a long time, over 45 minutes for a blue rare steak and a salad. We were offered a dessert but declined and no manager came to see us or anything else was done. A couple hours later I went to go eat my (what I thought) was a blue rare sirloin and realized I had been given the wrong meal and instead had a medium strip loin. I called the restaurant and informed the manager of the mix up and he took my info and told me the GM would call me the next day once they investigated and figured out what happened. It's 3 days later and still no response from them. We spend quite a bit of our hard earned money in that restaurant so it's very disappointing to have wasted it on a meal that was inedible.

Went for dinner with my son, I give 3 star for atmosphere and 2 star for food and drinks. We had to wait till our exact time of reservation to be seated( we were 10 mins early). Waitress was nice but not very attentive, she gave us menus promptly then disappeared for a bit. Finally we got our drinks ordered ,received them within 10 mins and then she disappeared again for 20 mins. Finally we ordered, it took 45mins wait for our food. Unfortunately I was not impressed with the taste of my steak, it was over cooked and blue cheese was mealy and bland. I had scallops and shrimp on the side which had absolutely no seasoning and smelt very fishy. My twice baked potato was lukewarm. The Mac n cheese tasted like buttered noodles with cheese crumbled on top, it was just horrible and inedible. The strip steak was great but honestly the best thing was the roasted beets. The drinks were very watered down tasting. Our apple crumble was not baked properly and crumble tasted raw, the cheesecake was ok but kinda warm. Unfortunately for the amount of money paid for THIS meal and because of lack of good service, I would NOT recommend nor would I return to The Keg.

My fiancé and I enjoyed a very nice dinner last night. Our server Ainsley did a great job navigating our dinner service on a very busy night. We began wilt drinks of course. For appetizers we had the mushrooms Neptune and the Caesar Brussels Sprout. The sprouts were amazing, we will try to recreate these at home as they were so good. For the mains the lady had the Keg Classics Filet Mignon and I followed with the holiday feature Kansas City Striploin. Both came exactly as ordered, medium rare. Last time I ordered the Baseball Top Sirloin, I was not impressed, but this time I picked the right one. Dinner was followed by coffee and a complimentary bottle of Prosecco. A very night evening on a rather rainy and cold evening.

Overall quality food and service. Portions were good. Had reservations and quick seating. Served items came like clockwork. Very busy and high seating capacity made it quite busy between tables with people brishing by often. The noise was loud but not to the point of having to raise voices to have conversations with one another across the table. Server mixed up the bill with another table in the end but corrected it. Overpriced IMO, but then again so are the majority of all steak/seafood houses for what they provide, so on par being comparative with the rest.

I went in to read my book in the bar and have dinner alone. The server was incredibly kind, attentive, but also understood I wanted to read so did not hover. I read in the bar area, and although it was busy, I had selected a table that afforded some privacy and was a little quieter, which was really great for trying to read. Food was phenomenal! I had a baked garlic shrimp to start, which was very cheesy and the perfect size. I had the Oscar Sirloin, Chicago Style, cooked Medium Rare, with No Scallops and Garlic Mash. They gave me extra shrimp to make up for the scallops and the steak was cooked to perfection. A wonderful experience overall.

We come here regularly, but tonight the place was buzzing! It was a full house, with a very happy atmosphere. We had the pleasure of being treated by our lovely hostess Krystal tonight. She was so attentive, in fact everyone was hustling and working super hard. To our surprise, there were new options and changes on the menu was left us extremely impressed. Being regulars at the keg from Waterloo we decided to stop off at the waterdown location on our way home from Oakville from a golf game. I ordered the peppercorn steak and it came out a tad bit over done. Not a huge deal for us as we were in no rush. I simply mentioned it to our server and they immediately offered to bring out a fresh steak and even give us something to snack on in the meantime. Following that, the manager came over, apologized for the inconvenience (again not a big deal) as we eat out at the keg quite often and are always happy with our food. When I got the bill the keg team had comp’d the meal. Not necessary as we weren’t looking for a free meal but certainly appreciated how they go above and beyond for their customers. This type of experience is why we continue to choose the keg over the competitors! Thank you so much for always doing your best!!

I visited the Waterdown location of the Keg Steakhouse and Bar, and I had a wonderful experience. The restaurant was clean and cozy, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing. I decided to play dinner roulette and let the server choose my meal. He brought me the Waterdown Special, which is one of their signature dishes. It consists of a grilled sirloin steak with garlic butter, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. The steak was juicy and tender, the potatoes were creamy and smooth, and the vegetables were crisp and fresh. The portion size was generous and filling. I enjoyed every bite of my meal and left extremely satisfied. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves steak and wants a great dining experience.

This keg is not connected to the corporate keg Circle.. they do not obey by their corporate rules nor do they serve the same food as all the other.. the steaks that they use they use steaks that have been meet glued by using Transglutaninase.. Google that and see what it means.. I don't know anybody that wants to eat steaks that are glued together.. the service is not very good but it is acceptable.. if you have a problem with anything there you cannot call the corporate office they are outside of any corporate rulings.. because they know this they do not provide the best service.. we have given them numerous chances to make up for shortcomings and poor service but they have not made up for it.. the owners attitude towards customers is he just doesn't care.. so if you don't mind eating glued meat and you want poor service this is the place for you otherwise I would avoid it like the plague

I joined some friends and we sat out on the patio for dinner. Beautiful setup, the sun shining in and when it went down, the heaters came on and kept it cozy. There's also an outdoor gas fireplace that added to the nice ambience. I can only speak for my husband's & my meal but we all found the complimentary bread delicious. He had the vegetarian meatloaf. I tried a small bit and we both weren't keen on the texture/consistency. It was tasty but mushy. My barbecued pork ribs had nice flavour although I would have preferred a more crispy outer layer. We all found the portions to be on the smaller side based on the price so I would say not terrific value for money. The wait staff were all pleasant & attentive

The food was spectacular and one of the better Kegs for sure. Our server was lovely just not on her game. I get it been there many times. We finally were together as a family 4 of us since my adult kids are now moving out and pursuing their careers and independence. I will say again server was lovely and had a great personality but My husbands meal was the wrong one so they had to start over. The three of us sat and waited for his proper meal to come and in turn ours was cold. Our bill was nearly $400 and that’s not a every day thing for us. Yes very apologetic but nothing was offered to rectify it. I was a little disappointed. We will return because like I said the quality of food and presentation was bang on.

Ordered a Takeout from The Keg for my Dad's 65th birthday. We were unable to dine-in as we have a newborn baby, so resorted to doing a takeout instead. Ordering experience online was quick and easy. Pickup of the food was prompt. Food was packaged nicely and was hot. I've never done a Takeout steak before, so was apprehensive. But the food was great!! We also wanted to say thank you for the slice of birthday cake!! Overall, I would recommend a Keg takeout. The food quality and attention to detail was just as good as dining in. We will be back to dining in again soon, when our baby is a few months old

You literally have in front of the keg and the rest of the plaza depart so there's never shortage.

The Keg at Waterdown is exceptional of its customer services. Stacy was amazing, very welcoming and friendly. The food is excellent. The sirloin steak was cooked as requested. The Lobsters were at the dry side but still delicious. The twice baked potatoes are delicious. The bread is so fresh and served steaming hot.. I actually asked for a second serving! The caramel ice cream pie (Billy Miner Pie) was the best finale. Great experience!

Our server Oliver was awesome! He was very knowledgeable about the menu which is helpful since my wife is vegan. He was friendly and chatty, and was very quick to come back with our orders and check on us to see when we need refills etc. The keg is always good but Oliver made it a 5 star experience. My out of town bachelorette plans were suddenly cancelled due to a massive snow storm. My sisters and I decided to make the best of the situation and go out locally. Always a great place to come for a family dinner or when looking for something a bit more upmarket than your typical fare. I'm always impressed by the staff at this location who are always prepared to offer a recommendation or answer any questions. What's great as well is if a cut you typically enjoy isn't on the menu, you can go ahead and ask if they can accommodate your cravings as I learned last time. The last couple of times the staff threw in a free billy miner (ice cream) pie as we were celebrating.

Had a fantasic experience tonight for my mama's birthday at the Keg in Waterdown. My family is both large and strange and we always get excited in public, so thank you to the staff for making it a special evening for all, my mother loved her 'alternative beverage'. I've not been to this location previously and so my only question is whether all the waiters are as handsome as Nick, or is he just exceptional? We love going to the Keg in Waterdown. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing but fun. Let me tell you what was most impressive: in all the years going to this great place, we had one not so perfect visit. Not impressed. We went to the Keg in Waterdown for my birthday. We did not have a reservation as when we went to the Keg in Oakville they didn’t take reservations on Saturdays. We always go out to the Keg, but we happened to be in Waterdown and didn’t even realize there was one in town. Our server’s name was Kate. She was so friendly off the get go, which is always a bonus. We ordered some apps, and then a couple steak dinners. Food was on point and made to our liking! Kate was funny, personable and such a charm to have waiting on us. Honestly, we’ll take the extra drive out just to get the exceptionable level of service that she provides. 5+++. Thank you for the best experience!

First KEG experience and it was amazing. Party of 2, we were warmly welcomed and accommodated per our needs (asked for a booth). Price point is high but you get the quality for the money it charges. Service was amazing too - extra star for that. Makes your steak how you exactly asked for; if not they are willing to re-do to make you happy. Not many places offer this. People with sweeth tooth, try their Billy Miner Pie.

Came here for anniversary, was not impressed with the side of king crab, I'm sure no crabs were harmed in the making this side dish. Have been coming here for five plus years oh, and it just seems the couple times we've come after the pandemic has been not up to par... First time we left hungry (that's never happened before) Second time for king crab side, they give us one small (half hollow) leg and some knuckles at $25 bucks. Did not want to complain at the time, but extremely disappointed..

Great service here - friendly staff. I was able to walk in without a reservation, but went early (5:15pm) and we only had to wait for about 15 mins for the 3 of us in our group. Nice decor, friendly staff, quick service. Tried the Billy Miner dessert for the first time - it was tasty! We have been regular patrons of the Keg for many years and have always been wholly satisfied with the quality of food, service and atmosphere. We went to the Keg in Waterdown this evening and it was no exception to the rule. Another wonderful meal with outstanding service from our server Kaylee. Our steaks were cooked to absolute perfection and everything about our evening just made it another memorable occasion. Lastly, kudos to the bartender who mixed me a perfect Manhattan.

We celebrated 21 year anniversary. And during covid we felt safe and welcomed. Our server Carolyn was outstanding and made some great food recommendations that made the great meal even better. Watched how they thoroughly cleaned everything and felt confident that we were safe. My wife and I ordered different steaks and cooked differently and the food was prepared perfectly. First time at this keg and was not disappointed. Sorry other Kegs I'm going to come here from now on.

Normally - Keg is very reliable. This location is not. I’ve found that they rush you out, they seat preferentially and are unable to ask for basic things like: how would you like your steak? By far, the worst experience was this evening where the server was clearly finishing their shift and was nowhere to be found.

Excellent steak... grilled to perfection. Extremely busy restaurant but worth the wait. Food quality is good but prices have risen substantially. Did feel a bit pressured to finish up our meal with waiter and staff constantly attempting to clean up our table while we were still eating. Near the end of our visit were told our table was needed for a larger reservation party... it's not good to feel rushed in such a high end restaurant.

The service was amazing. The manager came to our table as soon as we sat down to greet us. I was impressed with her helpfulness. The server was super as well. He gave us the service that was proper for the calibre of the restaurant. The wine menu was quite impressive. The steak was delicious and as expected. I would highly recommend this Keg location. The decor was different than other Kegs and it was relatively quiet and dim lit.

We ate in the bar by the fireplace. Our server (Taylor) was awesome...friendly, attentive, great attitude. I've never had a bad steak at The Keg and tonight was no exception. Cooked perfectly as requested...always a great experience.

The service was amazing, our waitress Caileigh was friendly and attentive. She did a great job, and added to a great experience. We've been to this location multiple times and it never disappoints. We always head to The Keg in Waterdown for a dependable experience. An early dinner included a bottle of Spanish wine, an 18 oz steak special for my hubby and a 6 oz top sirloin steak for me. The food was great! I was a bit weary of doing take out when you’re spending that much money. But my partner ordered it for my birthday dinner. The food was amazing, packaged super well in thermal bags and was like it was straight from the keg when we got home. I would totally recommend it to anyone who is missing the keg dining experience to order some takeout and enjoy the same great meal at home.

Went for Birthday dinner. 4 adults. Spacious place good food and good service. My fish was cook to perfection. My husband ordered tuna fish taco and prime ribs slider it was okay. My in law ordered ribs and chicken wrap bacon was good. Deep fried cauliflower was great tasty and flavorful. Though the calamati was good need a bit more seasoning was bland. Very very good service from the front desk to exit. Make sure you make a reservation during the COVID pandemic or you won’t get in. The food was perfectly cooked, the server Eryka was knowledgeable, we felt very welcome and appreciated as we celebrated our engagement. This location also has an espresso machine (not all do) and makes a great cappuccino!

Got the rib steak was perfect, having great night, finished majority of the plate but left the best piece for last (to me) the bone and surrounding area. My kid ask me to go to the washroom and the waiter takes my plate without asking. Literally ruin my entire rest the night, pretty much feel like I got ripped off, Disappointed to say the least

Awful experience. Went for our anniversary had to send back my prime rib twice and it still wasn’t cooked. Manager refunded me for my prime rib but wouldn’t say the customer service was overly friendly. Left with a bad taste in my mouth and a empty stomach.

Every time I’ve been to this Keg everything has been great! From the food to the server, have not had any issues. I will drive from Burlington to this Keg as the one in Burlington doesn’t compared. The past 2 visit Stacy has been our server and she has been wonderful! Definitely one of the best servers I’ve had at a restaurant

Went to the Waterdown Keg for a family dinner and really enjoyed the meal. I had the Top Sirloin with veggies and a local brew. The steak was grilled to perfection. Had the Creme Brule for dessert and it was delicious. Service was great. I'll be back.
