City doctors is my family's regular Gp clinic. Doctors are nice but one of the front staff was very rude. We go to doctor’s clinic coz we are already stressed about our health and when the staff doesn’t have empathy to the vulnerable client, we are more stressed. I went as my 7 months old kid was not well for 2 weeks, my wife was not well with cold symptoms. I understand with current restrictions on Covid-19, medical practices have to take xtra care. When we mentioned my wife had cold symptoms, she asked my wife to stay outside. We did understand the policy and my wife was telling what to say to doctor abt my kid, she stood up and again said to go out. The way she asked us was distressful and my wife who was herself unwell with not well condition of my kid, was very emotional abt it. I asked if we could book an appointment for my wife herself as this was her regular clinic and she is fully vaccinated plus she already had negative PCR result. She stood up from her chair and showed us the board and said its written here and outside in the door that no cold and flu symptomatic people can be in and they cant take my wifes appointment and asked to go to some other clinic. Policy is one thing but my concern here is the way she treated us. Front staff specially in a-medical practice need to have empathy and politeness.

I arrived and got greeted by a very unpleasant receptionist. She asked if I have any flu like symptoms and I replied no. She then asked if I had traveled interstate in the last 14 days, I replied yes last night from WA. She then rolled her eyes and said ohh for real and then let out a large sigh. Then I was handed a mask and told to wait outside the practice until the doctor was ready to see me. I tried to explain to her that we are COVID free in Western Australia but was shut down immediately and got told to leave the practice and wait outside. I then waited 30mins outside before getting contacted by phone by my doctor to ask if I had any flew like symptoms for the second time and I replied no. Then when he greeted me to come inside he told me immediately to remove my mask. So let’s get this straight, one part of the practice tells you immediately to put on a mask and wait out in the cold, then a doctor can call you in and immediately tell you to remove your mask?? Unprofessional practice. And a very rude and unprofessional receptionist! Will not be recommending this practice to anyone and won’t be returning.

I had to wait over half an hour before my consultation, which cost's me my time out of the workplace. I was charged for a longer consultation when a) I did not ask for this and b) I spent 20 minutes the night before completing a pre consultation questionnaire which asks you exactly what you are seeing the Dr for. When you choose blood tests and which ones and repeats of all your scripts, you have basically saved the Dr 10 minutes already and then to be charged 157.00 is outrageous for 15 minutes. I also had to wait 4 days to get into the Dr and when you get their it is always pot luck who you get and when you have a number of ongoing health issues it needs to be managed by 1 Dr who knows what is going on so you don't have to repeat your story. I found the Dr I saw today to lack a bedside manner was a bit dismissive and overall short in his responses. All for 157.00. This is a fee for service and it sorely lacked today.

I was standing in front of this place yesterday (Saturday) and it is definitely not open on weekends at all. I walked down in the rain in desperation after the phone number on this listing got me through to a rude lady working the after hours shift in Rosny Park on the other side of town. Said lady seemed shocked with the fact that I was trying to make an appointment, and gave me the blunt answer that every weekend appointment is considered as 'after hours' is by walk-in only so don't bother calling. I thought ok, then I will try and walk down to the city doctors only to stand in front of closed doors. Not the kind of experience I need when already feeling sick and vulnerable. [EDIT: They have changed the listing to closed on Saturdays now. So good on them!]

My wife(pregnant) and I came here to get flu shots and whooping cough vaccines. Dr Jonathan Lloyd came in tell us both that vaccines are safe and free for the pregnant women which took him less than a couple minutes. Turn out, we got charge for $320 in total for both of us. For me $150 ($65 for the vaccines and $85 for a consultation) For my wife $170 (Free vaccines but $170 for a consultation) which doesn't make sense at all. So we had to pay $255 just to have a doctor came to talk to us for a couple minutes. We talked to the ladies at the front desk and check if there were any mistakes but nothing they could help us, they said. We have to email somebody else to talk to which is ridiculous.

I have been visiting this clinic more than a year now. I was a bit disappointed that they keep increasing the price and it became overpriced for my last visit. I came to clinic for Whooping Cough Vaccine and did ask Doctor to help me fill out some paperwork. I waited for 20 minutes even though I did book an appointment. I had a consultation with doctor for less than 15 minutes and got a vaccine by a lovely nurse. However, when I came to pay, they charged me $150. I did raise the issue, even though the vaccine is funded by government. I still have to pay $150 for less than 15 minutes consultation

The doctors and nurse especially Jenny are very patient and nice; however, unfortunately, somehow the staff at the front desk would make you feel uncomfortable and don't want to come to this GP anymore. It has been many times when I asked for the clarification of the fee as it's different to what I have been advised by the doctor, and the response I received is "it is what it is" and "every clinic does this" and they just wanted me to pay whatever fee on the invoice and wanted me to leave :) Very uncomfortable experience with the front desk services.

I have been attending this surgery continuously since it relocated from the previous address in Collins St. Hot Doc bookings are great, reception is always cheerful and efficient and the doctors and nurses are caring and thorough. . I appreciate their attention to safety in these Covid times. The surgery is always neat and clean and well set out. Notices on the walls of the waiting room are always helpful and informative. Only negative - in the waiting room the loudness of the background music is too much. Minus one star for that.

Went to doctor after suffering hip pain. Doctor LLoyd automatically filled out a workers compensation form even though I said I didn't want to. Turns out he gets a lot more money if he does it that way. Cost me $150 out of pocket as medicare doesn't cover it and he only filled out half the paperwork required to even claim through work. Receptionist stuff up booking for follow up appointment and when I missed it without a reminder they charged me $50 as it was all of a sudden a double appointment. Really disappointing experience.

Waited 1h30 between seeing the nurse and the doctor. Secretary said the doctor was busy with a patient and that he'll be with me shortly. After another half hour of waiting the doctor shows up and I realise I had seen him sitting in his office doing nothing just after the secretary told me he was busy with another patient. Their only excuse was that they couldn't find me, when I had been sitting in the waiting room the whole time. To top it off, the doctor forgot to send the referral I needed so I could get back to work.

It was a real shock to pay 180 dollars on top of the 100 rabies vax cost for five minutes with a travel doctor when I have already seen a travel doctor for a comprehensive travel check in Melbourne a week ago. I was clearly there ONLY to receive my second rabies vax (my first is indicated on my personal immunisation govt. record as one week before and my next and final is at the end of June). I questioned reception about the 280 dollar cost with no result. No one informed about this cost before I attended the clinic.

The doctor I saw was completely dismissive of my concerns and provided no real treatment plan / medication to counter very real symptoms, especially considering past medical history. In the past, I've seen Dr Ben who I have no complaints about, but having to fight to get an appointment due to red tape, then having an unsatisfactory outcome was extremely jarring. Left the appointment in tears, with no concern shown by any of the staff on the front desk, even while paying the bill.

These guys are a rip-off! I went to the "travel clinic" as I am going overseas. I spent 10mins there to find where I'm going I don't need anything other than the flu shot which I've already had and they charged me $150! As someone who has been there multiple times and they did nothing they could have bulk billed the appointment or at least charge a standard consult fee which is half the price. I will be finding another clinic in future as I feel like I've been conned

Always on time, with friendly staff. Doctors are knowledgeable and helpful, as well as being accessible. I have a regular GP with city doctors as I have complex chronic medical conditions, but if they are away I am 100% comfortable seeing an alternative doctor in the interim for my ongoing healthcare. Also, the lovely nurse who gives the injections is a total pro - you can't feel them at all! Would recommend city doctors in Hobart city location every time!

Terrible. Unless you need a medical certificate or a referral, this GP farm is useless. High turnover of doctors means no continuity and whoever you see doesn't care about you, they just want you in and out as fast as possible. They're always running 10 minutes late, my longest delay was 50 minutes. Reception will never tell you about a delay or how long you'll have to wait, only that "you'll be seen shortly". Go anywhere else, this place is the worst.

Been here a few times due to availability. Nice and friendly doctors, but never going back again... Doctor sends bulkbill to reception, the receptionist did not do a proper job by clicking the wrong button. Had to pay $75 for my little son. Not happy but I can live with it... But it's the receptionist attitude, could have been nicer and apologising, it only takes a little bit to give a good or bad impression I think, it's not hard...

I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit. Dr Jonathan Lloyd was particularly: attentive, articulate, candid and diligent with me. His bedside manner is impeccable and his expertise is reassuring. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. Even my experience in the waiting room was made pleasant by the gracious ebb and flow of medical and administrative staff. Overall, it was a very efficient use of my time.

I have been going here for quite a while and I have seen a number of different doctors. My experience with all of them has been professional and welcoming. I like the fact that they have lots of Drs which means you can usually see somebody, even at short notice. They have more than one practice so you can always see someone at another site. You can also book online and see which drs are available.

Hi, as usual the service with my doctor was fabulous. A little taken aback by the younger receptionist, I understand staff are under pressure however the delivery of questions was quite abrupt and I felt unnecessary. A softening of how the mandatory questions are asked would provide the same answers without it being abrasive. On leaving the surgery your staff are friendly and helpful.

It’s really hard, as a tourist, to find an appointment for a doctor when you’re travelling. Especially so in a pandemic! I was so relieved when the clinic was able to book me in for a phone Telehealth appointment, and then a quick face-to-face so I could confirm the diagnosis, and receive a prescription. I see Dr. Nathanael Sweeney at City Doctors in the Hobart Office. He and the reception staff there are wonderful. Dr. Sweeney also sees patients at the Sandy Bay Office, where he also conducts his treatment for skin cancer. I followed Dr. Sweeney from his previous practice in Kingston to City Doctors; it is so hard finding a good, trustworthy and compassionate doctor.

I love my GP, he’s very professional and efficient. However, one of the receptionist was quite rude. I was only asking a few questions of Medicare and insurance covers when I make the payments. She was very impatient and nearly roll her eye, she did not explain well before I pay. Not even respond when I said thank you I’m just disappointed.

Dr Toby Catlin is an amazing man and I saw him for the first time today. He took time to listen to what I had to say and provided me with focused guidance and relevant advice. Dr Ben Peachey is very thorough in his overall approach to patient care and I feel confident I am getting the best advice from him as my GP. Ben also happens to have excellent and up to date skills in the latest treatments for sun damaged skin and he will become a very popular and sort after medical professional in the years ahead.

Tom Kaczor is the best doctor I've ever had. 11/10 top bloke. Has been my doctor for 5 years. He's a genuine legend. Communicates with me and works together to develop a plan that suits me. Best mental health professional I have ever experienced. When Tom is unavailable I have seen a few of the other doctors who are also excellent.

I was very happy with my consultation with Dr Kaczor. He is very knowledgable about skin problems (which is what I see him about) and I have great trust in his diagnoses and treatment advice, if needed. I also appreciate that he goes to the trouble to give me explanations, together with advice on checking for skin changes.

Dr Jonathan Lloyd was absolutely delightful, professional and extremely thorough. Assessed our situation and made recommendations which were easy and straight forward to understand and follow. This was an extremely positive interaction and I highly recommend this particular GP for travel vaccination and general advice.

I just needed a referral to a specialist for my knee osteoarthritis, no medical advice/treatment of GP required. Took 2 min, $95 charged, $53.60 out of my pocket. Why??? This should have happened over the phone at no or much lesser charge. In Germany e.g. people visit specialists without referral of GP. Not happy!

So reassuring to be able to attend a practice with such experienced, caring and thorough doctors to care for you. Never long waiting times. Appointments are readily available and they follow up to check in and make sure your medical management is on track. Never had such great service from a medical clinic.

I’ve been coming to this Practice for many years and the team and doctors here have always been so helpful and understanding. Today I met Dr Sasha Rose who is very warm, welcoming and kind - I alway find it important to feel comfortable and safe in my GP appts and that’s exactly how Dr Sasha made me feel.

I was most impressed with how thorough Dr Michael Tooth was. He patiently explained everything & wrote it down for me & gave me additional travel health information in a pack. I was able to get the injection I required & purchase a travel medication pack. I would highly recommend him & this clinic.

An unpleasant experience with the GP initials B.P who was rude and impatient to me during two consultation visits. Very little improvement to my illness after one month time. Will have to find another GP instead. Low quality doctor but a big thumbs up to the girls at the reception though.

Getting vaccinated for Covid-19 by City Doctors and Travel Clinic was a seamless experience from initial appointment, completing an online form in my own time, receiving an appointment reminder and getting the vaccination at the appointment time. Professional pleasant staff at the clinic.

Have been seeing our family GP's consistently here now for 2.5 years since making the move the Tassie. The GP's are wonderful, you rarely wait 'over-time' like so many other GP surgeries. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Extremely happy with this particular clinic.

I attended City Doc & Travel Clinic to renew my Commercial Pilot Medical certificate. The process was streamline and simple. Staff were excellent and the facilities are A1. Dr Tooth was also very good. I would highly recommend Dr Tooth to other Pilots seeking the same.

Booked my booster shot appointment on HotDoc which didn't inform me that non-medicare holders would have been directed to a different clinic. However, upon arrival, the friendly staff were kind enough to provide me the jab and registered my shot under my IHI instead.

Visiting from Wollongong and were in to see Dr Payne within 5 minutes. What a delightful gentleman very professional, with a lovely bedside manner and he looked after us with care and attention. Reception staff very pleasant. Would definitely recommend this practice.

I took my two kids here (aged 3 and 7) for their flu vaccination today. We had two doctors and an intern for our appointment who were on time, kind, and considerate of the kid’s anxieties about getting their shots. The overall experience was flawless.

The travel doctor is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. Do yourself a favour and visit your local friendly GP who doesn't charge through the roof instead - they could still provide you with the same basic information at a fraction of the cost.

I know the recptionists' are busy at a practice as large as this one but some decent customer service doesn't go astray. Every time I go to here I am blown away by the practitioners but unfortunately front desk is lacking.

The doctor and nurse provided a bright and friendly experience for my Covid injection. If you are a little concerned about the injection, these ladies will put you right at ease.

Travelling overseas. Went for a typhoid injection through the travel doctor. Found I also needed pneumonia one. Also got good advice from the doctor about travelling in India.

Really pleased with the staff - friendly and attentive. Have found Ben Peachey to be an excellent doctor. Very knowledgeable, caring and thorough. Would definitely recommend.

Competent. A bit more of a wait than I think it usual. I haven't had a 15 minute appointment fit into an hour lunch break. They don't bulk bill, even for phone appointments.
