I was just about to register a business name online on cro.ie. Regrettably, I was not able to do so as not all NACE codes were listed there. I inquired via e-mail if this could be updated or if there is a workaround for it or should I just send it by post instead. Firstly, I waited over a week for an answer. Then I called and was told by someone to pick whatever is the closest to our business, really? I thought that the mission statement of the CRO is to be compliant and accurate.... I guess not! Finally, I got this 'professional' and 'pleasant' answer: Hello, you have to make that decision based on the information available. CRO cannot tell you what to do. I have been trying to contact CRO for 4 weeks. I have tried calling at all different hours of the day and was even on hold for 1hour 22mins on one occasion. I understand these are testing times under current restrictions but a government body should be available to answer calls. If it is the case that people are supposedly working from home, there certainly not answering the phones. Very dissatisfied.

I have always found the employees at the CRO extremely helpful. I just spoke with James in the information area and he was extremely helpful. I didn't feel rushed and he was able to give me all the info I needed. Very supportive. Keep up the good work all!
