I enjoyed visiting Connolly Books while I was in Dublin. They have a fantastic selection and very knowledgeable people who work there. Since my visit in 2016 they have expanded their online store so I was able to buy the book I wanted to purchase at the time of my visit but couldn't carry back home with me: Republicanism and Socialism in Ireland From Wolfe Tone to James Connolly by Priscilla Metscher. The online order was processed and shipped quickly. Thank you Connolly Books!

A great little shop for books of socialism, anarchism, and Irish history, and some topical T-shirts. The lad behind the counter was very helpful, answering my questions, and also provided directions to the Luke Kelly statue. These kinds of bookshops are always good to visit in any city, and Connolly Books is certainly a credit to Dublin.

  • Leo McDonagh

Brilliant bookshop for left-leaning readers. I was truly impressed by the collection, which you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. I found a book I wanted and it was even signed by the author! Lots of different language books here as well.

Great leftist (socialist, anti capitalist, anarchist, anti imperialist and communist) books, and a cafe as well. Good prices and great selection of books. The staff are full of knowledge and very friendly.

  • Ross O' Shea

A small little bookstore that has a nice selection of mostly political books, nice to look around all the same you will find some unusual books that you will not get at more mainstream bookstores.

The experience was excellent, good collection of books. Comrades were very helpful in finding books I wanted. Had a nice chat. Bought the book Imperialism the highest stage of capitalism by Lenin.

If you sell collected works by a person responsible for the great terror and the deportation of crimean tatars (among OTHER THINGS), you might as well carry works by certain other dictators

  • Thanasis Tsabieris

One of the best bookshops to find socialist literature, history books and many more things! The comrades at the store were so kind and helpful! Red Salutes from Greece and Bulgaria!

  • Mae Licht

An amazing Radical bookstore, friendly Comrades with a brilliant selection of books. I would recommended 'State and Revolution' by V.I. Lenin or 'Wobblies of the World'.

Great bookstore with a great selection of socialist literature. Also a meeting place, but it's not for tourists ;-)

Great spot for books that don't espouse the all-pervasive neo-liberal and right-wing mainstream narratives.

The staff acted very hostily when they learnt I was Polish. Not what I would expect from "leftists".
