If I could give this funeral home negative 1000 stars I would. What kind of funeral home disrespects the MOTHER of a deceased child by lining up members of family ahead of HER and not just 1 person, we are talking about multiple people. As a matter of fact they did not even address the mother by name, disrespected the entire mother's side of the family as if we were non-existent. They provided no help whatsoever to people who were in wheelchairs, as a matter of fact we were provided help by teachers of a local school district who were also there in mourning. For those teachers thank you for your help, we greatly appreciated your help. And do I need to mention again that this was all for a child's service. These people have horrible service practices. For you to totally disregard a hurting mother just because someone else may have told you to, is beneath anything I have ever seen before. The fact that you did it too just lets us know that you guys are all about money and no morals. You always put the parents first in acknowledgements, but no not you guys. You put a great grandparent in front of his mothers name which by the way is his only living parent. You are a bunch of disrespectful people. To the people of Kansas City, Mo or KcKs, if you want to have members of your family or people who are coming to mourn with you disrespected in your time of sorrow then hey you found the right company right here because they will provide that and then some. If you want your family and friends to be treated with dignity and respect in a time of sorrow and for things to go properly then I suggest searching elsewhere.

Would give 0 stars if I could! This is the most unprofessional, rude staff EVER!!!! The building and everything inside is incredibly old and falling apart. For the thousands of dollars they collect from families, they should put some of that money back into the business. When my family went in to meet with the staff to plan my sister-in-law's services, we stood there for several minutes before being rudely greeted, were never offered coffee or water or anything. When we finally got to sit down with the funeral director, Mr. Boyd, he was very slow and not personal or welcoming at all. He excused himself several times. We then call the next day, after having sent them the obituary and pictures, to question when they will update the obituary online. The woman who answered the phone was EXTREMELY rude and said they will get to it whenever some other girl comes into the office. She said she was the only one working today and couldn't help us! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this God-forsaken place! They have no customer service skills, no compassion, and clearly don't give a damn about the deceased and the pain and suffering their loved ones are going through! They should NOT be in this business and should be ashamed of themselves!

It's sad that I have to give them 1 star in order to post. I would give a 0. My cousins funeral was held back 15 min . We were overlapping with another family who apparently was not giving the cut off signal. Our family was in the parking lot and lobby. Of course we didnt want to rush the family ahead of us but this was so unprofessional. Not to mention the woman with the programs made a comment "you know our people" in others words were always late. So sad. My cousin who lost her son walked down by herself until a cousin walked with her. We will not be using this funeral home. The first time we did we had to deal with theif and was reimbursed. If I knew they were going to use this place I would of suggested another place. Keep on and your name will not be mentioned in the community as a place to have your loved ones funeral service.. You cant do people like this. Very disappointed!

This company is a disappointment and it gives off bad representation, of what to expect in the time of your bereavement. It displays poor communication, it lacks respect to the Beraeaving families, and observing Mr. Duane E. Harvey who displays his ties and the connection to an brotherhood type of organization represent to me personally, his representation style of handling such prestige type of of rank in our society indicated he's Swendeler, with a personality of shifters I've also observed his unstable in handling his position in business Corspondant manner, this company lacks a proper representation of what funeral home expectations and deserve to be forgotten by the black community and community of all sorts and on thee up side of this my expired family member presentation and was displayed adequately.

Walked in for my grandfathers funeral and wasn't even greeted. This lady was staring me down with several men around her. When I said that it my grandfathers funeral she didn't even know his name. I know it must get hard to remember names after years of being in the business but come on- you don't even know the name of the man who is laying in the casket a few feet away? The funeral home was freezing and you could for sure see the wear and tare on the facility. Sitting there the doors were scuffed and carpets old. I hope I never have to plan another funeral but if I do it will not be at this location.

i laid my Niece to rest on 06/18/2021 at Duane Harvey funeral home and that was THE worst service i have ever experience in all of my life the directors appeal was not professional the family car was 45 mintues late getting the family there. no tissue was handed out, didn't show our slide show music was so low could not hear what was playing. and after all of that, after the body was place in car they left before the guest could line up for the convoy to the cemetery the escort did not direct the traiffic. will never recommend them to my worst enemy.

Thanks to the families who shared with others about the wonder services provided by the staff at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors it really encourages us to continue attempting to provide superior service. However there are others who sometimes choose to share negative statements about us and not always know the facts surrounding the situation at hand. When things are brought to my attention. We get the matter solved. Again thank you for allowing us to serve.

The staff was professional, compassionate and caring. This was a very difficult experience, but they were available for me and my family. They guided us through the entire process, answered all of my questions and always returned my phone calls and text messages promptly. My mother looked beautiful...like she was in a peaceful sleep. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism during this difficult time.

The service provides by Mr. Harvey and his staff was the greatest. From the time they picked up my grandmother's body from the hospital to the graveside dedication, his service was amazing. They made my grandmother look exactly the way she normally did. Wonderful hospitality and awesome down to earth people. A loving company. Your family will be in good hands.

A lot of people been on here making like Dwayne Harvey funeral home is a joke but they gave my mother a proper send off and something that will always be remembered so all I can say is when your loved ones pass go to them and they will take care of everything you need 100% appreciate the Dwayne Harvey family and their services love always Darrell A Franklin

This place is unprofessional and a joke. Scheduled my love ones the same as another family. We drove 7 hours just to be told to sit in our cars for an hour passed our scheduled viewing. Only to have to drive back. This place gives black owned businesses a bad name. So disappointed in our people.

This place is a joke!!! Do not allow them to handle the details for your loved ones. They're unprofessional, shady, and money hungry. We still don't have the closure my family needs because they did some unethical things throughout the process. Shame on all of the Duane H. staff.

Duane Harvey’s service started off accommodating but they quickly showed their true colors. They told me whatever I needed to hear to get us to agree to utilize their service but didn’t deliver. timely manner or at all for some things. I would not recommend

The whole entire staff was wonderful they made my mom look vary pretty and it put our minds at ease when we saw her. All we could do was just look and say how good of a job they did. It made for my mom's final moment most precious..thank you Dewayne Harvey.

The service this funeral home gave my family on behalf of my Uncle was unsatisfactory and poor service that was stressful on us they need funeral home training all over again.

I attended a funeral directed by Duane E Harvey place today. The staff was very kind to us and gave us as much time as we needed . They were very welcoming and warm hearted.
