Booked online after viewing social media photos which were impressive and exactly what I was looking for.... fab location too. Wanted simple wave for posh evening event. Price was £18 which was reasonable and deposit required to secure booking - fabulous, was really looking forward to a bit of a hair pamper :) !! Week of appointment received constant reminders of my appointment by email which was great, very attentive. The day arrived ... I turned up 5pm on the dot at reception ... which was busy sorting out an overcharge to the client ... she had been charged twice by mistake ... The receptionist looked at me briefly and asked a junior member of staff to see to me. I was advised that my stylist was still with 'her client' and "could you come back in 10 minutes". Note for Cora Hair - Totally not the right thing to do or say to a new or for any client!! To say I felt like an incovenience was an understatement :( After 10 minutes walking through Great Western Arcade then standing outside Cora, stressing that I was going to have to rush to get ready for my evening "do" I tentatively went back in .... I then overheard a member of staff say receptionist's name; constantly with head in the till, 'Cora' - I was gobsmacked. Anyway ... I requested a Hollywood wave and somehow got FarahFawcett. As my debitcard "was on file" I agreed for the balance to be taken automatically. I did not leave a tip. To further insult me I later realised I was charged £20 and not the £18 booked online. Very disappointed - you need to work on your customer service skills. Would not recommend - will be going to RegisHair on Corporation Street next time.

Always first class service here. Been coming for years, and never leave disappointed. I've had my hair coloured, had the normal cut and blow dry, and even changed my style back in the days, too old and boring to do anything now . I carry the loyalty card and have had numerous discounts and free treatments where applicable. Kim did my hair today and has done so many times before. It's nice when they remember things about you. Kim asked me about my new job, recommends things to watch, and read, and we always throw a little something about food and holidays in too. My hair feels silky soft, more so than usual that I don't want to wash it ever again, but know that I will have to. It's Saturday in August with temperamental British weather, I checked the weather before I left home, but alas British weather it started to rain, I was prepared to put my jacket over my head and run to the House of Fraser opposite the salon, but Kim came to my rescue, and gave me an umbrella, it saved my hair,thanks Kim, I'll bring it back so someone else's hair can be saved in the future . My pictures don't do it justice, but for just keeping things simple ,hair feels soft, light and easy to manage. Cheers Kim for being my hair rescue team.

I decided to give cora hair a try today as my usual salon ( a competitor) was fully booked for the day I needed. All I wanted was a simple wash, blow dry and bangs cut. The lady who tended to me was nice enough but I felt she didn't know what she was doing. She washed my hair with freezing cold water and she knew about this but carried on anyway. She then decided to start blowdrying the bottom sections of my hair and I had to remind her it was probably best to cut my bangs first as they were still wet. For some reason, she gave me a side part when clearly, bangs are in the middle and i had to tell her this too. She also cut my bangs on either side totally different and it's obvious. She tried to fix it but I could tell straight away and they still are not equal. She then proceeded to rip out most of my hair. My hair is very voluminous but she flattened it to the point where it was totally flat and had no volume at all. I am south asian so naturally, i have nice, long and thick hair so i was shocked to see her results. The nerve to charge me £40 when I had to go home and start over myself. I want a refund!

I visited Cora hair on 17/03/22. It was my first visit & my first professional haircut since 2019. The salon was bright clean and very calming. I was very nervous as my hair was in a dreadful state. I had been experiencing hair thinning attributed to stress/covid and the last 2 years. I really wasn't sure what could be done. I left the salon feeling a million times better and my hair looked fantastic. I usually want to wash my hair straight away & style it myself, like many people do, BUT not this time I was 100% happy with the cut & how it had been styled. I've had so many complaints since, it has been a complete ego boost. The icing on the cake, it is now so easy to style when I do wash it. You know you have had a fantastic stylist when your hair stills feels brilliant a week later. Thank you Greg I look forward to my next visit.

It was my first time in this salon after seeing the positive reviews on Google/Insta and honestly? I don't regret coming at all! I really like the result, it's the first time I've been so satisfied with a hairdresser! The color is simply magnificent, exactly what I wanted! My hairdresser was very attentive from start to finish and gave me really good advice. (Thanks a lot Kate ) They have privacy screens for hijabis and they were very careful not to "Reveal" anything, I'm really grateful for that. The salon was very clean, the staff was really welcoming and attentive with their customers, I highly recommend them for their professionalism, their quality work and they also have attractive prices! This salon is professional, they really take their time with you and they truly listen! My hair had been fried by a different salon 4 weeks previously, it was dry and I knew I needed another cut and some kind of treatment. Lillie applied an Olaplex treatment , to strengthen my hair and she cut my hair beautifully too. She also took the time to discuss my hair colour, as I was upset with it and didn't feel like me. I hadn't booked a consultation for this and the sheer generosity of her time was extremely kind - I left the salon feeling really good and way more positive than when I'd arrived. Everyone at work loved my hair the next day, that's my guide stick! I feel a lot happier and will be coming back for my root-smudge. Thank you so much Lillie!

Extremely disappointed at their service, the product quality and customer service. Charged me £175 for NanoKeratin which took 5hours and that’s my hair after the first wash. Literally zero improvement!!! When I took my concern to salon owner (Cora), she just said sorry I believe your hair has improved and we can repeat the treatment if you want but no guarantee to see different results unbelievably disrespectful directly and indirectly accused me of lying and keep repeating that my her has improved in her opinion ( btw she never saw my hair before the treatment)!! I also had my fringe cut, which turned out to be very uneven and they asked me to go back again to fix it....... I mean wowww

Wouldn’t even give you 1 star. Your hairdresser literally gave me the COMPLETE opposite to what I asked for. I asked for a nice soft money piece to blend in with my roots like when you do a balayage. Your hairdresser made me hate my hair when I walked out of your salon. She gave me the cheapest and tackiest looking moneypiece, when I told her I wasn’t happy she just dismissed it. So rude and unprofessional, I’ll never return. I asked for a bouncy blowdry yet ur hairdresser couldn’t even do that properly. DO NOT waste ur time or money on this salon, rudest and most unproductive hairdressers in Birmingham. Thanks a lot for ruining my hair!

I have been a customer at Cora’s hair for around 2 years now. After having bad experiences in the past with hairdressers I was unsure of where or who ti go to. My friend recommended Faye and spoke very highly of how is an expect of what she does, making you feel amazing after having her hair styled. I have never been so loyal to a hair dresser since. I don’t often leave reviews but just need to show some appreciation to Faye’s amazing work and the personalised customer delivery she gives to her clients. GO TO FAYE (the best in the game). As a person with naturally black thick hair with previous dye, I was skeptical to go for a lighter colour incase it goes orange. I showed the picture I wanted and Faye did better! The aim was to go ashy brown and blonde and it looks stunning (got so many compliments already). Feel like a new person all thanks to her. Faye is considerate, the sweetest and very easy to talk to, she recommended a few products which I did get myself and excited to use. Will certainly be coming back and recommending her to others!

My husband took his daughter here today for a simple trim of the ends and a few layers (she’s 13). She has been crying all day since leaving the salon! And rightly so! The cut looks like it was done by a student trainee. It’s awful! The ‘layers’ is basically a sharp straight cut with no shape to it whatsoever. She has long hair past her shoulders and now is left with a head of hair that looks like two different styles in one. It just looks ridiculous. Whoever, did her hair needs retraining or sacking!

Zainab is very polite and professional, she gave me lots of advice on how to look after my curly hair, she went through what she was going to do with my cut and products she was using. She adviced me on products I should avoid and recommended me a variety of different products that won't damage my hair. She cut my hair beautifully and at the perfect length, not to long and not to short. Very impressed with this service. I will definitely be happy to have Zainab, cut and style my hair again.

Have just had a colour and keratin treatment at the salon today. Cora was superb as usual, my colour is exactly what I wanted. The keratin treatment is just the absolute best, it totally transforms my hair from a frizzy mop to a sleek Bob. I couldn’t live without it. All of the staff were friendly and kept me in coffee all day. It was nice to see it so busy in the salon and the atmosphere was lovely. I couldn't recommend the salon more, it’s friendly, affordable and they know what they are doing x

I went here for the first time to have tape ins with Faye last year July and have since been back for several other services such as the Indian oil treatment! She is extremely talented at what she does and takes great care when styling your hair, not only that but her attention to detail is very good as she makes sure you leave the salon looking nothing but the best! I was recommended this salon by a friend and was pleasantly surprised. The stylist that did my hair was Fai, who was really professional as well as friendly. I have been looking for a hair dresser who would be able to dye my hair and she understood how to work with my hair and did not damage it when doing it. It’s been nearly over a year when I met Fai and she’s been looking after every time I go in. Safe to say i would recommend Fai at Cora hair to get your hair done. Amazing work !!!

Received a wash, cut & blow dry by Ken Lau and can say that I am very pleased with the results. I asked for 90's style layers with curtain bangs and he gave me exactly that. I usually feel a little disappointed with my haircuts that I get elsewhere because I find they never get my bangs or layers right, but this is by far the best haircut I have ever gotten and I'm so so happy with it! He also gave me a lovely hairwashing with a massage that was so relaxing! Thank you!

I’m a first-timer, when it comes to colouring my hair and I also have got curly hair. Fai did such an incredible job, her professionalism, friendliness, technique and passion made be feel at ease and the colour came out amazingly! I was truly blown away, my hairs never looked and felt so good. I would 100% go back to her for future colouring and blow drying, she is amazing at her job. I hadn't had my hair cut since before the first lockdown and I was really anxious about finding a new salon after moving to a new city, but I'm really glad I came to Cora! She has helped me get my hair back to before offering lots of advise along the way. Today I took my daughter for the first time for a cut wash and blow dry who is loving her new hair. I went Fai when my hair was extremely damaged and she has done the best job with treating my hair. I also got 22 inch tape extensions and I am extremely happy with them and have not had any issues with the extensions. The service is quick and efficient and their customer service is amazing. I have never had a problem and will definitely be coming back

I was really impressed with how professional Cora hair was. My stylist was sick so tiger covered for her. He was absolutely lovely and did a good cut, but my blow dry lasted less than a day before I lost the curls and it became slightly frizzy. This being said I was really impressed by my first visit so I would be willing to give it another try.

Faye has been doing my hair for about 2 years now and don't have anything to complain about. I've tried various colours and Faye is always honest about what's possible. She also gives great tips about how to care for my hair so even though we've bleached it loads, it doesn't look like it. I can 100% recommend her, she's the best.

Seems like the staff are always leaving so my appointments get cancelled and the prices are always increasing. I’ve experienced a stylist walk off twice during a blow dry leaving me hanging whilst dealing with another stylist’s mess. I’ve been coming to this salon for years but won’t be returning as it’s not worth the price.

Faye was patient and polite, and did the blonde balayage for me that I really love. My original hair colour is black and I was afraid the blonde balayage would look weird on me, but it didn’t and it turned out natural and suits my skin tone as well

I went in with my sister for a full hair colour, cut, wash and blow dry. The service I received was excellent and Cora was most hospitable. Will definitely come here again.
