Dr. Morne de Wet did an absolutely wonderful job with our young Boston Terrier - she had a hard time breathing normally. Right away, when we collected her after her surgery, we could tell that there was a massive difference - she could clearly breathe far more easily. And it will only get better when she heals completely. He widened her nasal passages, and removed a bit of superfluous soft palate that was partially obstructing her airway. Very thankful, and appreciative of the care (and time) he took to explain everything in detail up front. Now we just have to get used to our almost “silent” Boston Terrier - no more snorting and snuffling. And if she could speak, Coco would have expressed her happiness too - as a very active young dog, suddenly having full and easy airflow must be wonderful.

I was a panicked mom wondering whether or not to leave a situation with my dog, Jamie, until after the New Year or not... So I decided to rather be safe than sorry. I cannot begin to express how *AMAZING* the whole Team was, and a special thanks to Dr Tiaan for seeing my angel child amidst a very busy Christmas season in a busy Clinic. The ladies in front are wonderful: fast, efficient and friendly; and the whole Team just gave me a Christmas Miracle. I am forever grateful as I write this today (my Jamie girl is all I have left of all my babies, lol); and I'll be returning in 2 weeks for a follow up. Certainly, this Vet Clinic has become my "Go To" for the rest of my dog's life - and I highly recommend you choose them! Best care, skill, knowledge and attention.

Charlie had an anaesthetic to have his inner ears cleaned and he was very woozy afterwards. After several phone calls I discovered that he’d been kept under for some time, after being told it would be a very quick procedure. In the past he hasn’t responded well to an anesthetic, about which I informed the reception, but the information apparently was not passed on to the vet nurse who managed him. Unfortunately the vet wasn’t available afterwards for discussion but did call me back the next day. Happily his ears are now fine.

The desicion to put your fury pet to sleep is never an easy one. Not a client at Cottage Vet, but they are the only vetenarians in the area that does house calls. Our Great Dane could not travel anymore, thus we required a house call for this procedure. From the very 1st phone call to saying good bye to our beloved GD, this was the most amazing service, care and attention we could ask for. Thank you to the whole team at Cottage Vet, you were amazing and we appreciate.

Friendly team, conscientious and understanding. Visited this time for the final visit of my darling little doggie. They were amazing, from the lady sorting out the appointment to the vet and team at the event. They understood the sadness of the occasion and allowed for the grief. It was all on my time. Which was really kind of them when I knew they were fully booked. No one rushed me through and did not race me to say goodbye. 100 stars for them all.

Very helpful and took good of care of Odin after he broke his leg. They phoned in the next day to see how he was doing and if he was eating. Very pricey I must admit but they do help you with a payment plan which helped me tremendously. Dr Morné explained everything to me over the phone oh how and what he was going to do with Odin before the operation. I am very happy with their service and how Odin was treated by the staff and the good doctor!

Both my dogs are very anxious pups, but I trust these people 100%. I took them both here for their dentals in the beginning of the year, my one doggy got an upset stomach and they immediately treated her to get her feeling better. Dr Carina has the sweetest soul and she takes such good care of my babies. Prices are slightly cheaper compared to Vet World in Somerset West, but you don't get better service than this

Just want to say THANK YOU all that saved my dog. Nobody in Western Cape wanted to help me and send me to panarama hospital with my dog. Your only ones i found that willing to try and save my dog. Tried like 12 other clinics and found that your best in Helderberg / Stellenbosch / Paarl Area.My dog recovered 100% after 3 operations and is happy as can be. THANKS FOR BEST SUPPORT OUT THERE!

I had a dachshund that I took there for a removal of a malignant tumor and there was still some of the tumor left after the procedure. The surgeon didn’t explain anything or even meet me. I took my dog back again a few years later, they checked his heart and said it was “good and strong”, gave him an injection and he died that night. If there was a 0 star option, I would put that.

This a a really great vet practise. Dr Morne is an excellent vet and brilliant surgeon, who also has a fantastic way with animals. He handles them at their level with very little stress to them - they hardly know they are at the vet! He is incredibly thorough and patiently explains all details around a condition, prognosis and treatment options. Worth the drive from Cape Town.

The worst experience of my life ! My cat was treated appallingly! The vet was very short tempered rude and insensitive. If i ever see her in a public place she will be confronted by me and my cat died very soon after! I reported her disgusting behaviour to the head vet who didnt have the decency to call me back. The star i have awarded the is for the reception staff.

The people at Cottage Vet are everyday super heroes. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave you feel the care that they all feel for your animals. Dr Morne and his team did everything they could for my doggo and when it was his time they handled him with such love and care. They're affordable too and I would recommend them to anyone.

Such outstanding kind people and so helpful especially since we love our babies that are getting much older now. What an amazing vet. Dr Morne is absolutely the best vet i have ever known and used. He is a very clever man, and so friendly. He takes his time to explain and is a very compassionate person. Receptionist are knowledgeable and very helpful. Have been to there with power breed to smaller (reactive) working breed and always felt comfortable and welcome inside the practice The doctors are very good at working with owners from the examination through to the rehab thereby ensuring the best possible outcome for one's fur-kids.

I found front desk service lacking and distant. There was a slight miscommunication around my booking that was not really assisted. Was it given a call to let me know my pet could be collected. Also, they have decking at the front door, which my lab got her paws stuck in between at least 3 times while waiting outside.

Storm and I had our first visit today. I'm a little jittery since I lost my dog,Cassie, a while before Storm and tend to over worry about Storm, but Dr Jean soothed my fears and I'm more at ease. Thank you, Dr Jean and the brilliant staff for reassuring me. I know Storm is in the best hands and we will be back.

Doggie injured his leg in the evening. The vet on call offered sound and reassuring advice for the evening and then I went in at opening time the following day. We were assisted really promptly and doggie checked thoroughly and tenderly. Very pleased with the help received for an unexpected incident.
