I took my little Chihuahua in to see the vet. She was just not her happy self. Previously, I had had a very traumatic experience with my little Molly after she had received quite a number of injections. I was very traumatized by how terribly Molly reacted to all the injections. It resulted in me writing quite a negative review because I was angry with the young doctor who just kept giving my dog injections. BUT!!!!!! Then, when it was time for one of my other dogs to go, I was so fortunate to have Dr. Izak van der Vyver was the vet that day, and I obviously shared the traumatic experience I had with Molly. He was so understanding, really listened to me, and I could tell that he was not wanting me to feel that way or be afraid to bring my dogs to see the vet. Sadly, Dr. Izak has retired, but we are so grateful for immediately being connected with Dr. Bradley and I am not sure if they make detailed notes on their system, but Dr. Bradley had Molly from the minute he saw her, and he knew about her sensitivities. He treated her so perfectly, almost like "The dog whisperer" . Molly is my sensitive girl, and she seems to communicate with Dr. Bradley, and somehow, she let's him know what is making her feel unwell. I don't like leaving negative reviews. Even if they are blatantly honest, I know that as a local guide, we are to share our experiences honestly and truthfully. I'm just relieved that I was able to delete my negative review and replace it with a much more positive one. I also didn't change my review suddenly. Unfortunately, the negative review was up for 2 , maybe 2 and a half years. So this wasn't an impulsive review change. I could see constantly and with consistency that the Dr. Izak and Dr. Bradley were being very intentional about the kind of treatment they gave Molly, knowing that she doesn't handle vaccinations well. All is well and we are very happy! TAH Durbanville is my first choice!

We're regular clients of the TAH practice in Kenilworth and we've recently moved to the Northern Suburbs. My Labrador showed symptoms of a bladder infection and our new regular vet, the Sonstraal practice, couldn't see us immediately. Thankfully the Durbanville branch could fit us in. From arrival I was very impressed. The practice is well-stocked, the receptionists were very helpful, and because I'm already on their system there was no admin. Our entire history was immediately available and the vet didn't have to waste time getting filled in. Dr Izak van der Vyver was awesome. So gentle and thorough. He listened to all my concerns and didn't rush me. After all the tests and questions it was decided that Kizzy needed to go back the next day for a day of tests. The most important thing I noticed was that I got the full 20 minutes for the consult - not the usual rush that makes one feel like just a number. The next day I was able to take her to the kennel area myself, which I feel really helped her settle. When I fetched her, the consult was comprehensive and I felt like I had all the information I needed. The practice is equipped to do ultrasounds and in-house blood analysis which keeps costs down and results in a very quick diagnostic process as nothing needs to be sent out. So our bill was very very reasonable. I've had a lot of experience with various vets over the years and this stands out as one of the best vets I've used. All in all, a very very good experience and I highly recommend this practice and especially Dr van der Vyver.

Receptionists and vets are very kind and friendly. But very money orientated. They did give me a discount. But suggested I go to a welfare. Which I won't. As I've adopted a re home with no vaccination history and cannot risk her picking up something at a welfare. I paid them about R880. And when I tried to email and call back to show them that she was still agitated and doing the same thing. Something hurting her mouth or nose. They have not returned my calls or emails. It's sad when a pets health is put aside because of money. I simply needed to know where to from there. As I had no more money. I'd just had to euthanize my two furkids and pay those bills. I'd rescued a re home. (The patient) times are tough and vets must be more lenient. Through the lack of response and my dog madly pawing her face I was then forced to see another vet. Whose been most helpful and obliging. Second. Vet asked for history to be sent on the 7th December. To date it has not been sent. I collected it myself. Not impressive service at all.

TAH Durbanville truly cares about your fur babies. When my senior peke had her teeth done last year and was having a rough recovery, Dr Bradley phoned us on a Sunday, from what we presume was a personal number, to check up on our pup. It truly showed us how much these vets truly care. Recently we had to have our male Pekingese teeth done and once again - OUTSTANDING service. From the person who answers their Facebook messenger (Who is an amazing person! She/He helped reassure me that our old boy will be fine and even checked in with me later to see how the surgery went. They even followed up with me the next day.) to the kind receptionist ladies and of course the caring vets. Something both my fiancé and I truly appreciated was when our boy's surgery was done- the vets sent us a message to let us know that all went well and we can pick him up later. Just that little message makes a fur parents heart much more calm. Thank you so much TAH Durbanville for your outstanding service. We will NEVER go anywhere else.

By far the best experience I've had going to a TAH. My male doggo was diabetic and there is enough stress about that and I do not need condescending and uncaring tones from staff, this was NOT the case with the Durbanville branch. They assisted me rather than constantly overcharging me with 'ear infections' where at another TAH I would leave with unnecessary medicine just to get more money out of me or recommendations about their diets when my dog is allergic to it all and me telling them so repeatedly. If you have had a bad experience with TAH I can recommend you will not be put in that emotional situation with TAH Durbanville. Every staff member is welcoming, friendly and very accommodating.

The kings of cortisone!!! And with 2 of my collies. Say no more. I would highly recommend Goedemoed Vet and Dr Virginia who immediately picked up that my dog had a heart issue. Funny because she looked at TAH's X rays. All they were doing is killing him slowly with cortisone. And this is not the first time. My other border collie had a skin condition. They treated her with cortisone for a full year. Every month I was back there with the same issue. What actually fixed Abbey's allergies was Dermdafence food but obviously they would not suggest diets as this would kill profits! The level of patient care that Flash just received at Goedemoed is just incredible! Animals well being over profit!

I do indriver its just like uber. Twice ive picked this gentlemen u at TAH BRACKENFEL then taken him to TAH DUBANVILLE. he takes care of the animals during the night that stay over at the animal hospital. Take my hat of ths gentleman for the shift he works to ensure the animals welfare. In these 2 times we have conversed we had some good discussion about various subjects regarding life and beliefs. Ismhail is his name and if happen to engage in a conversation im sure he will assist you to best he possibly can. Good peolpe these day are hard to find. Not the pretend ones the real one.

The staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The one time my cats had to visit the vet, he was patient, answered all my questions and his diagnosis was accurate. I also buy cat food here. They usually have stock of what I need. Once, they had to order and called me the next day to confirm that stock had been received.

Second time using this vet and this time for immigration reasons but I must say the communication was amazing throughout and they were extremely knowledgeable about immigration requirements. I’m beyond grateful to everyone - our vet, the assistants, and those in the front office. Highly recommend TAH Durbanville.

The veterinarian, (I can't remember the name of the doctor) was extremely helpful and great with my nervous dog. There was an unexpected waiting time and I've often found the service at the front desk to be quite slow.
