This review is based solely on the customer service received prior to our stay, as the stay was cancelled by Daisy Hill before it even occurred. My mother forwarded me all email correspondence with Daisy Hill, up to and including an email from Linda stating that she was cancelling my mother's reservation because she had "promised" to confirm her reservation by the end of September - which was NEVER the case. My mother requested the reservation and Daisy Hill had accepted it, and told us that there was a 7-day notice policy if the reservation needed to be cancelled. The reservation was for November 8-11, which is MUCH more than 7 days away. My mother shared that her plans MIGHT change, and IF they did she would let Daisy Hill know as soon as possible. This is apparently what led Linda to believe that my mother was not fully committed to the reservation. Without any notice, Linda emailed my mother on 10/17 stating "As it is the 17th of October and per our last email, you promised to let me know by the end of September if you would confirm this reservation. I have held this reservation request for several weeks and I have decided to cancel as of today's date." My mother then replied within FIVE MINUTES apologizing for the confusion (which was not her fault or on her part in the first place!) and asking if she could keep her reservation, to which Linda replied with a rude and short reply of no as there has been "plenty of time" and she had been "more than patient". As my mom was coming to visit me for the long weekend and Daisy Hill is only half a mile from my apartment, we are deeply disappointed in this service and rude cancellation. I am writing this review in hopes that no other potential guests of Daisy Hill are cancelled on due to confusion or simply poor customer service. I wrote back to Linda that same night, stating that there was no point during any email correspondence in which my mom was unclear on her reservation status or that she PROMISED to let her know by the end of September. Linda has not yet replied yet and it has been a week, confirming that she simply does not care about her customers and implies that she also does not care about her reputation as a small business owner.

My husband whisked me away for a surprise anniversary trip to Nashville and booked us three nights at Daisy Hill. The French room was very charming and our hosts were helpful and attentive while not being obtrusive. We were the only guests at the time so everything was quiet and relaxing the little time we actually spent there at the house. There are three common areas you can use: a front parlor, library, and sunroom. There are tvs in two of the rooms but we opted to spend time in front of the fireplace in the front parlor the one evening we relaxed before heading downtown. Breakfast is served at 8:30 - fruit all 3 mornings, and an omelet, scrambled eggs with sausage patties, and pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage links were our three breakfasts. The omelet was our favorite by far. Our room was comfortable and the sheets felt great to snuggle in. Fresh towels and bubble bath for the claw foot tub were nice and there was plenty of hot water each morning for showers. WiFi is free. The location is perfect if you plan on spending most of your time downtown because you're only 4 miles or a a $7 Uber ride from it all.

We had booked a room for our first 1 year anniversary in October 2018. After requesting a booking, we get a call from Linda who said there was a mistake and the room we requested wasn’t available. She was able to provide us, however, with another room. The library suite. We agree to that and get excited to spend our anniversary there. Fast forward about a month, when I receive a phone call from Linda who tells me that the other room was actually booked and now they have no availability. All she could say was that she was sorry. Now we are closer to our anniversary, with little to no availability at other B&B’s. We had hoped to spend the important day in a special place. But now we are left in the dust. Worst part is that she didn’t offer anything in return. Just an apology. Very unprofessional. I would not recommend.

Love this place. The innkeepers Darryl and Linda are so friendly and fantastic. I came for a business trip but they made me so comfortable, it felt more like vacation. It has a historic ambiance with contemporary amenities including free wifi, snacks, coffee/tea bar, televisions, private baths and a very nice common area. The upstairs common area includes a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave and small appliances that are open for your use. It also has a flat screen tv, sofa and dining area. The main floor common area includes a tv, sofas, dining room and beautiful grand piano. It has a microwave and tea/coffee bar as well. Coffee and tea as well as a snack variety are included 24/7 at no charge. Outdoor garden seating areas are peaceful and a great place for evening tea.

Perfect location in excellent neighborhood to visit Broadway/Downtown, historic neighborhoods, Music Hall of Fame, Hermitage, Belle Meade. Excellent restaurants close by, jogger friendly. Beautiful, comfy, and unique rooms/bathrooms with daily housekeeping. Incredible breakfasts (omelettes, homemade waffles, fresh fruit, coffee, O.J.). Excellent hosts, Linda and Darrell, with spot on tips for places to go, see, do. Darrell able to sell tickets to various places in advance that saved valuable time. Enjoyed the lighted back garden patio and deck for cocktails/snacks before evenings out and about. Only place I would recommend, and will definitely return asap!

My fiancée and I had a great stay at Daisy Hill. We got there and got a free upgrade from the Scottish room to the Library suite. Breakfast was always tasty, the room was great, the location was close to downtown Nashville, and Darryl and Linda were helpful and courteous hosts! The stay was Covid safe and is only booking vaccinated guests, but honestly, we would have been fine sharing spaces with vaccinated and unvaccinated guests alike, as we were both vaccinated. Would definitely recommend you check out this bed and breakfast if you are looking to stay in Nashville!

Pros: Close to downtown, delicious variety at breakfast and we really got lucky: the other 4 people staying there when we did were both from California but delightful anyway - tee hee! Cons: Driveway went straight up to the back of the house and needs repair; our room was too small for two adult women and two twin beds; molded shower stall very strange and water difficult to adjust, my SIL called it the "shower from hell." Was water rationed in Nashville in October? We had to repeatedly ask for water at breakfast and don't expect a pot of coffee when you wake it...coffee only at Breakfast and it was 8:30 AM sharp so I hope you aren't an early bird. .

Business is hosting a meet and greet for someone who should be a felon, convicted of embezzlement, DA Glen Funk is hosting a meet and greet here post conviction of nurse RaDonda Vaught. The medical community has read the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services report which indicates that Vanderbilt University Medical Center bore HEAVY responsibility for the death of the patient. Yet the DA refuses to leave charges against VUMC and instead looked to punish a nurse for what would normally be considered medical malpractice. This business deserves to be SHUTDOWN.

We had a wonderful vacation staying at Daisy Hill. We were about a 5-10 minute ride from downtown. Uber was about $8 to ride to the downtown strip of bars. The neighborhood Daisy Hill is in is very walking and biking friendly. I felt safe to leave my car there (free parking!). Their hospitality and cleanliness were both amazing and professional. With COVID on the mind, they were very courteous to ask what we were and weren’t comfortable with along with laying out proper guidelines for us while still being enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Had a terrible experience staying here, and it's mainly due to the psycho/rude couple who lives there. Always up in my business, and rude to speak with every time. There are things such as basic decency, and those two don't get it. I personally think it's a race issue, as there comments and speaking style led me to believe that they're stuck in some prehistoric times. Specifically Linda, who runs the place. Very rough to deal with overall, don't stay here. BEWARE.

Visited with my girlfriend for a weekend while checking out downtown Nashville. Darryl and Linda were awesome hosts and the room we rented (French room) came just as advertised. We felt welcome from the minute we stepped in the front door, and didn't feel rushed to leave on our checkout date. 5/5 recommend if you want a quite/relaxing stay with a couple of lovely/friendly hosts and the option to visit downtown minutes away.

We had a wonderful stay at Daisy Hill! The hosts are fluent in hospitality! It is nice and homey with plenty of privacy. We stayed in the Scottish room and we just loved it. The breakfast is literally incredible! The location is pretty central to anything, so Ubers are affordable and drives are short. Can’t recommend this place enough for a classic bed and breakfast experience!

Enduring the 2016 Nashville snowstorm was no hardship at the Daisy Hill Bed & Breakfast. Innkeepers Linda and Darrell made sure that we were cozy and well fed. The breakfast was delicious and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Linda and Darrell were knowledgeable about the city and made good recommendations for the best places to see. Located just 4 miles, a short uber ride, from the downtown. We will plan to visit Nashville again and will definitely stay at Daisy Hill.

My husband and I came to Nashville to visit friends and celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Daisy Hill Bed & Breakfast for 4 nights and were so well-taken-care-of. Linda and Darrell were wonderful hosts, great chefs and easy conversationalists. This B&B is beautiful, clean and quiet. We stayed in the French room and couldn't have asked for a better experience. We recommend it highly and will stay there again should we return to Nashville.

We went down to celebrate our engagement and daisy hill was the place to do it. Breakfast was fantastic every morning. They offered us coffee, tea, juice however we wanted it. They were very good to work around dietary restrictions. It was very nice to know the people we were staying with and having that connection. The home was very clean and welcoming.

Wonderful place to stay and great location. Owners had many suggestions for things to do. We enjoyed time on the back deck with them and their neighbors our first evening. Breakfast was fantastic - dessert waffles (yum)! Will definitely stay here again when we make it back to Nashville.

This is a charming home, with welcoming host and excellent food. The location is close enough to great restaurants and things to do, but still in a quiet setting with lush gardens surrounding the home. Would highly recommend this B&B and will return anytime we are here in Nashville.

Snow storm relief, Linda and Daryl went out of their way and made dinner as well. We had a full house but great company, everybody was super nice and made great conversation. We had cocktails and wine and a great time. The front door is tricky from the outside but had no problem having Linda or Daryl right there to open it when we knocked. ***** absolutely
