The hotel rooms were good, most of the staff were also friendly and accommodating. I stayed in this hotel for almost a week and on one occasion I had to get some more spending money from the money transfer locations and the reception staff really treated me like a thief and I have never in my entire life felt so embarrassed. I have tried explaining the situation to the reception staff and even though they had my passport they wouldn’t let me collect my money so that I could pay the fees for the night I stayed. I’ve explained I needed my passport to collect my money and they did not care one bit and kept shouting and requesting that I pay. I finally arranged for the money transfer staff to bring me the money at the hotel so that I can show them my passport. Never ever have I felt this embarrassed over $35 approximately.

Stayed 3 days at Dire Dawa Ras Hotel...and enjoy my saty there....the rooms are clean the service is like a 3 or maybe 4 star service, the staffs are so friendly and neat also...the food is good like its not five or five star food...still i like it considering the price of the rooms and foods....tried only hot beverages and fruits regarding to drink it was good...overall its a great place to stay in Dire Dawa if you are looking for moderate price hotel rooms with great service...recommend to anyone...

I ll definitely never come back to Ras Hotel dire dawa. I stayed 6 nights with my wife and 9 months old son. There are always something wrong in the room the tv or the fridge or something else. The room is full of mosquitos and small insects flying. The staffs are so so, some of them are helpfull an others very bad they dont even smile to you. When you are at the restaurant and want to order something you have to call them many times.. i ll never go back to ras hotel.i give 2 stars because only some staffs are smiling and helpfull

Am not gonna come back to this hotel again, I don't see no welcoming face starting from the reception, when you call reception to order room service no one answer the phone, the mattress is so uncomfortable, huh my back and side so hurt, no shampoo and conditioner at the bathroom, what makes you funny AC no working, imagine sleeping without AC in Dire Dawa weather, worest service ever

service at the reception is the worst ever. Poor communication. they don't treat you as service giver. Room dosn't have running water. A Waitresses at breakfast are trying. to provide good service despite limited options at the table. Definitely it is not a place to come back.

Staffs are welcoming. Meals are excellent. Rooms are spacious , conditioned but few maintenance required. Above all, the compound is spacious, green and with great ambience.

Absolutely filthy. Big cockroaches, dirty carpet. Cold shower, almost no water coming out of the faucet. Dirty, peeling wallpaper. I got allergies and asthma from all the dust. Horrible food. One of the worst places I have ever stayed. Nice lobby, nice staff.

Charming 1960s hotel in original condition. The 5 stars is merely for decoration but bear in mind this is deepest Africa. Lovely staff make up for everything else and probably the only choice in this transient busy city.

Eat at the restaurant, the food's good. Try the Amboshock juice. But don't stay in the rooms, there are little creatures crawling around. This hotel was great back in the day, but a bit run down now.

You must reserve before you visit this hotel and make sure you have your swimming suit it's nice
