I recently rented a car from Drivalia in Liverpool and had a great experience. The customer service was excellent, the rates were very reasonable, and the car I rented was in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend Drivalia to anyone looking for a car rental in Liverpool. One improvement I would suggest is to offer a wider selection of cars. I was looking for a small cars, but they only had one available at the time I rented. If they had a larger selection of cars, I would have been able to choose a car that was a better fit for my needs. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with Drivalia. I would definitely rent from them again in the future. The customer service representative I spoke to was very friendly and helpful. She answered all of my questions and made sure I understood the rental agreement. The rates were very reasonable. The car I rented was in excellent condition. It was clean and well-maintained. The pick-up and drop-off process was very easy. The rental office was located in a convenient location and the staff was helpful and efficient. Overall, I was very impressed with Drivalia. They are a well-run company that offers excellent customer service and a wide range of rental cars. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a car rental in Liverpool.

Rented a few times and always had a good experience. Staff are friendly and professional. Of course, you have to expect the usual sales pitch and upselling, but I haven't encountered any dishonest tactics. It's close to the centre so easy to get to by public transport as opposed to the airport. The branch gets 5 stars. The 4 stars is because of the stricter check in process. A DVLA check code and 2 proofs of address are required (not as easy to get these days with paperless billing and no printer). No other hire company I've used requires this (and the airport branch doesn't require this, so it seems it's not strictly necessary). While this is clearly stated on the confirmation email, the £1500 deposit required on a credit card isn't. While this is pretty standard for rental companies, it needs to be clearly outlined because some might be unaware. The cynic in me suspects it isn't made clear because they then charge hefty fees if you can't pay the deposit by credit card. Hence, Drivalia gets 3 stars, averaging a 4 star overall. Relative to others in the industry, it probably deserves more than 3 stars but that's because the bar is so low due to dishonest tactics that plague the industry.

Beware of the influx of documentation you will be 'required' before taking a car. This company shouldn't be listed on 3rd party sites as they don't give you all the info before you book and you are to find this out when you arrive for pickup. 2 people before me couldn't get their car because they didn't have 2 forms of proof of address. I had already paid for a premium insurance already through a 3rd party company. Then I was convinced by a colleague that i had to buy additional insurance as i didn't meet their supposed credit check. after a 30 second call they supposedly had my credit score and it wasn't good enough for their own insurance.... yet i have multiple credit cards exceeding their £1600 deposit. Initially i was told to pay £100 additionally for their own insurance for 2 days, i then haggled down to £60. the colleague said they weren't supposed to to this even though on the receipt it was just a lower form of insurance.... i asked them if i HAD to take out their insurance and they said yes even though i have a credit card with ample funding to deposit. are these guys on commission or something ? felt scammed. car was nice though.

Be prepared to pay £20-40 extra per day if you don’t wish to pay a £1500 deposit. This isn’t mentioned anywhere and catches many people unexpectedly. The van fleet is poorly maintained - I was given one with a smashed mirror. I asked for this to be swapped to be told that was all they had but I’d be given extra mileage allowance. Whilst waiting for the colleague to check other hire branches for van stock I noticed the tyre was completely bald! Again I declined the use of this van and was asked to take it to a local tyre garage? Really poor. 1 hour later I was given a Luton van instead which guzzles diesel compared to the smaller original van I’d hired. When you hire a van you expect it to be roadworthy as a minimum. Seems really poorly run and will be using a different company in future

Unacceptable management. Landed from our flight today and over two hours later we are still waiting to be processed/receive our rental. Very frustrating when we have a 2 hour onward journey. Chris who was working on his own repeatedly had to leave customers to drive to the airport to pick more customers up and then continue to process and organise the cars. Cannot fault Chris’ attitude and he was certainly hard working amongst multiple groups. The company however needs to be mindful of how much annual leave they approve as leaving one person on shift is totally unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for customers and the employees left to work.

I hired a van from Drivalia Liverpool and it broke down less than 30 miles away. Turns out the radiator hose was disconnect and being held on by a piece of rope! The vehicle was unsafe for the road let alone to be rented out. They didn't care, left me overnight and then only provided a smaller van meaning I couldn't carry my full load and ignored my complaint and request for a refund. No help, no one cares and this is reflected in the terrible quality, unsafe and probably illegal vehicles they offer! Avoid!

Honestly the best investment ever on my daughters last day in Liverpool, we crammed in sooo much! We hadn’t planned hiring a van so to get this booked last minute and get availability the very next day was awesome! The staff were so attentive and pleasant from the moment we entered reception until we returned the next day and even then they were super helpful! Special thanks to all the staff at Bootle/Vauxhall we will be back and highly recommending

Used Drivalia for a rental over 11 days when back visiting the UK. Got a brand new VW which was immaculate and very easy service without any problems. Make sure to read the conditions on the booking and bring the appropriate IDs/documentation/proof of residency etc. as they are, understandably, strict about this & I saw a few people being turned away. The rate was by far the cheapest around and will use again when in the UK.

After being let down by Green motion car rental, the guys at Drivalia, Chris and Dan sorted us out with a car last minute. They couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly and we had absolutely no issues with the car and the pick up from the airport was great and they went over and above to help us as we were in a rush to get to a wedding. The price was extremely reasonable and we would definitely use these guys again!

These guys are in a great spot for Liverpool just on the edge of town and the staff were all lovely and friendly today when I returned the vehicle. They also bumped me up to the car in the picture instead of the Ford Focus I booked and it drove really well and had a lovely interior. Will definitely be using again over Christmas period whilst my own car is being worked on. Thank you!

What a service provided by these guys! I’ve been renting cars regularly for over 15yrs, and this has been far and away my best experience yet. From being greeted at the entrance to driving away in my rental, absolutely seamless throughout!! Kinza was fantastic, she is a total diamond - amazing at her job. It’s a scam company .. I repeat DO NOT get a car from them, they charge you more than the amount shown on screen. We were compelled to pay extra 250 to get the car, person working inside locks you in the paperwork jargon and loots you, I promise you Turo is 100% better than this. DRIVALIA IS A SHAM. Save you monies

I rented from these guys a couple of times, most recently a ford puma which was in great nick, and really lovely to drive. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help you. I had Kinza, who was fast, perfectional and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to rent in Liverpool.

Good price car hire you won't get cheaper but need to lock your credit card into £1500 retainer. Just make sure the precondition check sheet has all the fault and scratches and bumps recorded on it. If your not happy with the £1500 lock in you can pay more and add in extra insurance to cover any damages.

Trouble free in my renting with Drivalia via reantalcar. Got a bit surprised with a very expensive deposit of £1,500 for a basic car though. During online booking you will not see any details about the deposit, you will get surprised during the pickup. Other than that, everything went smoothly.

The service was brilliant from start to finish. Hired a lot of vehicles over the years and couldn't fault it. Had to make a last minute change to the van rental and Kinza was brilliant. If you're hiring a car or van I'd recommend! Ignore old reviews as it's a completely new team and service.

Cheap car hire good quality cars and friendly staff. Treat the cars as you would like yours to be treated and you won't have a problem. Fairs fair respect to staff and take care of your temporary hire car if you abuse it it it will cost you and rightly so.

I'm a regular customer at Drivalia (previously Easirent). It's hard to find quicker/easier/quality rentals elsewhere. The teams at the Liverpool central branch (next to the roundabout) and Liverpool airport have always been super helpful. Highly recommend!

Easy to book and return. The company didnt take money until the collection date which is different to other companies. Took out the super relax which helped with the excess but it doesn't cover everything which I found out on collection.

Very easy quick process. Lady was lovely. Van was great. If you pay with debit card, be prepared to Pay more per day than quoted price due to not being able to pay £1500 deposit. Otherwise very happy. Would use again.

Great vans, although it is prudent to be aware that insurance is added onto the hire price so expect to be paying an extra £20 odd quid per day's hire on the LWB vans on top of hire quote
