Nigel Walker , Tony Cox , Steve Hill , Malcolm, Mona and Gary, I will never be able to thank you enough for how you looked after Dad while he was in your care, up until he was laid to rest. Nothing was too much from with our many questions asked all the team was very knowledgeable.. Nigel Walker the funeral director on Dad's funeral was amazing, directed his team perfectly and all shown the up most compassion for my Dad and his grieving family the whole time. Please avoid. Edwards service was not only impersonal and disrespectful they were deceitful and lied about having done things. They caused added stress at this most difficult time for my family. We spent days chasing and trying to get call-backs, the service was so truly terrible that we eventually had to move to another funeral director, this highlighted even more just how bad Edwards actually are. On raising our distress to various people in Head office they pay lip service to the distress caused and make empty promises to investigate, but they don’t. I can’t believe that I am actually posting a review of a funeral directors, but feel compelled to advise other grieving families to avoid. There are some really good funeral directors around who won’t treat your loved one like just a number, and who will actually provide a caring service.

I lost my wife at 42 years of age I was a broken man. I contacted EF Edwards and was given a quotation for the basics I asked for and an appointment was made for me to go into the office to confirm the details. Here I met Mona who made the worse time of my life easier there were no pushy sales just advice on the things I'd forgotten after all they do not teach you how to organise a funeral at school. Throughout the whole process Mona was a phone call or an email away for everything from support and advice right through to going to see Claire. On the day of the funeral I met Becky and Tony the funeral directors they made the day perfect and special, a day to be proud of. I cannot recommend EF Edwards highly enough for their professionalism, compassion and service.

Damp smelling, dark and dingy. I visited for a chapel of rest for a relative and I was stunned at the service we got. Customer service from employees was great but the environment was terrible. We were crammed into a tiny room just off the main entrance that felt like an afterthought. Like they had to squash one more room into converted fire escape hallway. Room was bathed in poor almost orange tinted lighting that made the skin look dark and off coloured. No background music and a disgusting pungent odor that I could still smell on my clothes the next day. Furniture and decor straight out of the 1960s. AGAIN the employees were fantastic but the rest of the experience was downright disrespectful.

I can highly recommend E F Edwards. Katherine dealt with all the arrangements. Due to the Covid situation, this proved to be a lot more complicated than usual due to crematorium restrictions and uncertainty that these could change; she responded to my endless questions and nothing was too much trouble. She was extremely sensitive and thoughtful in her manner, very efficient and totally professional throughout.

Mona was helpful from the start, really friendly and kind. Thank you for everything you have done for our family. 3 funerals in 18 months have been arranged for us through E F Edwards and they were all exactly what we wanted for our loved ones. All of the staff are lovely. Thank you.

Paid for funeral then found out it never covered minister or doctors fees rip off and misleading I was told everything was covered for now to get all my money back they are taking £249 out of the money I paid them I will be reporting them to trading Standards

No care, respect or dignity shown to my mom or our family. We have raised a formal complaint with the National Association of Funeral Directors and we hope no other family has to experience the distress that has been caused by this company.

I can not recommend EF Edwards Funeral Directors highly enough. Mona was fantastic from start to finish. Really helpful and went above and beyond to make what was a very difficult time as straight forward as possible.

Did not go inside the building as I was parked outside working but it does look very nice and clean also very maintained
