After going to my now previous PCP and not receiving any tests, physical exam, or my concerns being taken seriously, I searched for another PCP and found Eastowne. I was able to make an appointment quickly and was seen the next day. I saw Lauren. She has been a breath of fresh air among my medical issues. On my first visit, blood work and urinalysis was ordered. She actually done a physical exam. She also done this the most important thing....she listened to my concerns. I found her to be the most friendly physician that I have ever seen. I highly recommend her. The entire staff as of my second visit have been very friendly. Lab results may take a few days....but in my case it is definitely worth it to be treated like a human being. Some testing cannot be done at the office, but they will send you to a place that can do it. I needed a GI referral and got one with no problem. I didn't wait long in either the waiting room or the exam room. I drive 40 min one way to come to this office. I do it for the reasons above. If you had been treated the way that I have previously, you'd be grateful for this little office in Charlotte. So far, I know that I am.

These fake reviews should be against the law ..my husband was on a verge of having a heart attack and needed his blood pressure medicine and they are so lazy they couldn’t even write the prescription out so they said they were going to call it in and they didn’t..so my husband had to wait all weekend without his medicine ..I was truly scared thinking my husband was going to have a stroke or heart attack..AND believe it or not..this is the 2nd time they didn’t call his medication In For 3 days I believe they close the office early and don’t finish their paper work.they also don’t do enough testing in this office just a guessing game that shouldn’t be done on someone health...look at all those 5 star ratings..with no comments..simply put they are fake.please shut this office down!!!!

I don't recommend this office to anyone. Unprofessional, they don't listen to your needs just try to tell you things by the book. You must have an appointment and if you don't you better not call for a sick appointment needing it soon cause they always give a week or two later appointment. Doctors office should open no later then 8am. This one opens at 9am. They don't even give you paper work when you leave. I needed a note for my child and they said they don't give paper work. When i finally got a note they didn't have my child information right and didn't say what was wrong with him. This is the worst doctors i have ever has3. And I'm currently looking for another. I don't even take my child to the doctor anymore i rather go to the E.R.

Just some tips for this lovey doctors office. A patient shouldn’t have to call multiple times over and over to get his/her prescriptions sent for a refill. If I’m calling for it, it must mean I need it sooner rather than later. Another tip if you’re unsure of what the patient needs sent out then simply clarify and ask don’t say you’ve sent it and the next time I call Im getting told there is no record of anything being sent. Finally in my opinion I think before you see your patient maybe you should read over their chart and previous visits so you have an idea of what you’re talking about and we’re not going over the same 3 things every time. Sincerely, a lovely patient.

Doctors and staff are awesome!!!! Helpful and kind! I like how simple and streamlined the daily operations of the office are. But the thing I like the most is that I don’t feel like Dr. Ekwondu looks at me or my wife as bad, neglectful parents. Our sons last doctor seemed as to test us at every corner. We felt like his old doctor didn’t trust us and spent more time investigating our parenting then the health of our child. I believe the doctors at Eastowne gauge our parenting by the over all health and happiness of our child. To me, thats a truly experienced doctor.

Went in to get a few blood tests that my insurance confirmed they would pay for. Dr Ekwonu repeatedly refused to run any panels that he did not find necessary himself after I explained this to him. Didn't know that was a dr's authority to tell me how I can and cannot use the benefits I pay for? If you're the type of person to blindly go to the dr once a year and/or don't prefer a proactive approach to your health he's probably your guy. If this isn't you, i'd recommend saving your time and money and go elsewhere.

I’m a new client at this place and VERY UPSET with the overall service!!! Needed a refill on four prescription, he filled 3 but not the 4th one and that’s the one you CANNOT STOP abruptly. Pharmacy and I called the office for the last 31/2 weeks and they kept giving me different excuses!!!! Finally went to the appointment and his answer was “oh I don’t know why I didn’t fill it out “ No apology or nothing!!!! Who does that!!! There’s more but you get where I’m coming from

I needed an office visit at the last minute. I was able to make an appointment online, went to the appointment sat in the waiting room for 10 minutes or less. Was out in 30-40 mins tops!! Dr. O had a very nice bedside manner. He asked me important questions and was very gentle. I really appreciate this office. I felt important and the service was Excellent from the front desk to the nurse and the doctor. Great experience and excellent customer service.

Very unprofessional. No Follow through. Please take a recorder in to every visit when you go to this office for every visit. What a patient is told during the actual visit is very different from what the staff tells you the doctor puts in his report. Trying to get my relative in to another office for primary care services. This does not make sense. Bad attitudes should not be tolerated in businesses. Not by the doctors, owners, nor the staff!!!

Nice experience. Staff was friendly and wait time wasn't too bad. This is the only place I could get an appointment during the holidays- no one else was accepting new patients. Lauren Cook was very warm, friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I'm not sure why another reviewer said they don't give notes to excuse absences, I got one just fine. Will be coming back for regular check ups

I was told at the urgent care to make an appointment with my regular doctor, I waited for 40 min, finally doctor comes and he doesn’t even know why I made my appointment when I had called 3 times that same day earlier just to make sure everything goes well. If you don’t have health insurance don’t go there. You won’t be treated well.

A great doctors visit. I made an appointment at 4am and was seen the same day at 2pm! I was in and out rather quickly as well! All of my questions were answered and I’ll definitely be going back. Also the phlebotomist was awesome! I didn’t feel a thing, she also had a great personality!

Less than a five minute wait. The staff was very friendly and Lauren Cook took great care of my needs. The visit was affordable and efficient. I will make this my new doctors office when I am in need. Thank you guys for taking such good care of me.

Dr. E was awesome, very professional, respectful and kind. I was seen in a timely manner and the exam was quick and thorough. His staff (the nurses) where all amazing and gave me wonderful customer service! I definitely recommend this place!
