Service toward customers is really pathetic. Not helpful at all. Went to the estee lauder counter to purchase a foundation for my wedding ceremony, I enquired about shade matching and she very unhelpfully said that due to covid they are not able to test the foundation on my face. (understandable) I asked how are people going to buy foundation? Is there any other way I can buy the foundation and she just looked at me and sort of shrugged her shoulders. upon enquiring when they are able to she rudely stated it's when the government decides. I literally just said thanks and walked out. Thankfully I was able to pop into a similar store on the same floor which sells what I was looking for, was greeted politely and was able to get my exact shade by the lovely lady without breaking any covid regulations. I'm disappointed that Edgar's was not able to try and find other solutions to help like what the other store did.

Having previously experienced snooty and disinterested service from consultants at various make up counters, I was skeptical to try out Edgars again but my word, it was a BREATH OF FRESH AIR to go to the Fenty counter and be helped by PHELO. She was extremely friendly and attentive, even though it took a few tries for me to find a foundation that I was satisfied with, she patiently tested different shades until we found that perfect match that I absolutely loved. She was very knowledgeable about her products and I am beyond satisfied with the products she recommended for me. Absolutely impressive service and will definitely be going back. If you want amazing service and great value (they are currently running a promotion) please see Phelo at the Fenty beauty counter. 10/10

On Sunday morning at 09h20 whilst making a choice for some denim jeans on the advertised promotion, I tried on three pairs of jeans. I was given a plastic token indicating I was inside the change rooms. I made my choice and tried to exit the changeroom only to find that the changeroom attendant had locked me inside and had gone off. I shouted loud enough for my husband to hear me in sportswear and no one came. I started to panic as one does not knowing the outside scenario. After a while the attendant came running back, I asked why she had locked me in without saying a word? She had a mouthful of teeth? Not a great shopping experience at all.

Tried to buy online with black Friday, as soon as I was about to pay the 25% discount disappeared on all the items. I tired it again with different items and it did the same thing. Customer service got back to me today. They said it must be because someone else bought it and that's why it disappeared from my cart. ??? I didn't say it disappeared from my cart I said the discount disappeared as soon as I tried to pay. You know customer support sucks when they can't be bothered to read your email and get back to you 6 days later with no solution.

The Edgars store at the Pavilion was once a very upmarket store with staff always available to assist. We were shocked the last time we visited the store I think it was in January. In particular the baby, linen and bathroom departments were untidy, shelves a mess, things packed in the wrong places, goods lying on the floor which staff didn't bother to pick up. There were no staff around to ask for help, so we walked out empty handed and are very unlikely to go back. Very disappointed.

Great store for over priced products. Always purchased shoes but they never last so returned. Staff stated it happens alot. No aircons so prepare to sweat while shopping. Certain things are great but would recommend going else where.edgars needs to step up there game as the stors are already in trouble and can get more active and speak to the public with regards to what they want and cater for there needs and not just management / directors in charge looking to earn money.

Today just a few minutes ago 13:40 i walked out of Edgars a very happy customer . I was buying a perfume and was assisted by Danial Mkhize, very handsome and friendly gentleman. Never had such good service with a smile all the way. He really went out of his way. And then there was Ntokozo who was also very helpful and friendly. Thank you so much guys at The Pavillion, keep it up. Will surely come back soon!

Their service was beyond bad, so we visited the store and they had issues when we wanted to tap for payment, when we asked if they had a speed point, they refused to use it stating excuse after excuse. We were forced to go to withdraw cash so we could pay. The lady even had an attitude when she was saying she couldn't help and went on like "I don't want to loose my job" as if we were doing something illegal.

Poor service delivery requested a shirt to be brought from Cape town. Still waiting 6 weeks later. Anneline and Liz ( credit manager) had taken my mobile number twice. Still waiting for the call. Went back to the store spoke to the store manager and he promised it will be sorted . Still waiting. I have been already 4 times to the store and still haven't received any feedback..

Tried for many hours to get a contact for edgars Pavillion. The number given on Google says I do not have permission to use that number. So why the hell list it. The info desk at pavilion is even poor they cannot transfer me through a switchboard to get through here in Durban. They give me number to call jhb to get switchboard transfer. When I call jhb they never ever answer.

This is the Durban West street Branch. Stuff complained in front of me since their manager asked them to help. That leader to her not paying attention to my sale price my things where scanned normal prices I only noticed when I got home. Can their trading hours be update also I needed to bring the things so there could be corrected but the store was closed at 17h20.

Most pathetic service... 3 managers could not help leave alone call me back... went to the store twice... people who work there don't even know the branch manager's surname... Thabiso currently the manager there cant get ahold of him hz also too busy to even answer a call... how do u log a complaint if they don't acknowledge it

Edgars pavilion. Nice clean shop. Good variety of clothing and shoes. I wasn't impressed with the assistant at men's shoes. I wanted to open an account, seeing as so many Black Friday offers. The man who assisted me in doing this was excellent. However, once I read Edgars ludicrous terms I decided not to open the account.

I went here looking for a gift, we asked a staff member for help and they looked at us rudely and walked away. Not to mention the nightmare of going to return items, I will never go in this store again. Horribly rude staff. Spend the extra and go to WW or Trueworths for better quality products and atmosphere.

Edgars had really become sad and disappointing. Previously it was the place to go to get most function attire. But now it's so drab. The kids range has also decreased drastically. Pavilion branch still better than Galleria (that place is a ghost town). Sadly I left the store empty handed.

Needed a pair of sunglasses. All sunglasses are now locked away with 1 person helping. Stood there 20mins for help as you can't access any items and have to wait for each customer to finish. Is this home affairs or Edgar's pavilion. No managers around during the festive season.

Even one star is too much for Edgars, dont buy online. I'm still awaiting for a delivery since December, and they insist it was delivered despite not being able to even provide a signed delivery slip. Devoted customers for over 30years don't mean anything to them.

Bad experience Edgars pavilion staff member at entrance insisted I sanitise i told him im on cancer medication pecaset which affect my hands and feet. He told me unless I come with doctors certificate I can't enter store. Sanitisation
