I have been to many Pollo Loco locations in about 4 states. I will say that this location is the worst one I’ve ever been to in my life. No exaggeration, I pull up to the drive thru and the girl has major attitude and and unwelcome energy. I did absolutely nothing wrong besides pull up at a decent 7:30pm time with a friendly demeanor. I order the new Birria tacos and a burrito bowl. When I get to the window the girl comes to get my card with her bad attitude. I really wanted to just drive off but I didn’t want the food to go to waste so I stayed to get my food. When I look in the bag, I’m missing the consomé that comes with the birria tacos. I wait at the window and the girl never comes back. I proceed around the corner to park and walk inside to get my missing consomé. Another girl gives a bad attitude, no sorry, or no thank you. It was really uncomfortable feeling in that whole place, the vibe was really bad. Anyway I get to my hotel room and I’m missing a fork to eat my bowl so that’s what motivated me to write this review. This place needs a major training day or just fire everyone and start over. I’m literally eating my bowl with a salsa cup.

They were rude and made our meals with hardly any chicken. My chicken bowl was not even full. ( I'm still hungry) When asked for more chicken, they said that is 4oz and would have to charge. The chicken they gave was scraps at the bottom but when they made other people's food they had the right amount and size pieces of chicken. They also laughed at my husband when he asked to remake his food because it wasn't right. My husband asked other customers if there was any chicken in his burrito, they said no. The chicken nachos had barely any chicken. The manager remade that and showed me 4oz of chicken and I told the manger that was not 4oz of chicken. That was still scrapps at the bottom of the pan. They also were charging for cilantro dressing. The place is dirty on top of that. The service was horrible and they seemed to be racists since they made our meals with hardly any chicken and made other peoples meals right with the right amount of chicken. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. NEGATIVE 5 STARS YES!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE $5 MENU?? PAID FULL PRICE FOR THIS BAD FOOD.

“Was in line for around 45 minutes. There were only 2 cars ahead of me! Understaffed and made me late back to work. This was also my first time ever going to El Pollo Loco. Safe to say I will not be eating here ever again. Terrible experience” I gave this location another chance. You can see what I wrote about it above. It actually turned into a great experience. There was a new cashier/employee at the drive thru window. His name was Miguel. Miguel just gained my business moving forward. He was a thousand times more professional and positive than the girl that was there last time I went. I will be going again soon and I hope the experience is like this one. Miguel deserves a raise for the way he handled the whole thing. I asked to switch out cabbage for lettuce, and he did it no questions (the lady employee my first time here got my order wrong while also making the experience terrible) and was enthusiastic the whole time. On a side note, the food is delicious. If they can continue this experience, I will be going here 5 days out of the week since I just moved down the street. The jumbo shrimp taco is heavenly.

Ok these people have literally 1job and a job I'm sure others would be happy to have and do, making delicious chicken! However they can't quite seem to do that, the last 2 times we've ordered chicken from this particular restaurant the chicken was NOT cooked thoroughly, the bones were red with blood and the chicken was practically raw, this is a health risk and should be addressed IMMEDIATELY before someone get sick. We WILL NOT be patronizing this establishment again, other places we can eat where the staff actually takes pride in the work they're doing, these people don't seem to care one way or another and obviously the owners or regional managers don't so we will stay away, I do wonder if they'll care when they have a few law suits filed against them for food poisoning because they served undercooked chicken oh well, not my problem.

The evening staff are so kind and professional towards me. And the food is very delicious. And they just started adding chicken tamales recently. Daytime manager heavy set woman. Wouldn't allow my husband and I to use the bathroom. Until we order and pay for something, before she would unlock the bathroom. My husband and I had decided to get 2 sodas, then choose what to eat. The mean heavy set woman. Says yes you have to get a combo to use the bathroom. Of Course we were upset. Not only did she behave in a rude manner. She hurt my feels. We are homeless. We sleep outside. It had rained early this morning. And all of our belongings blankets and clothes were wet. So we had all our laundry with us. We Clean up and dress decently. No reason for her to act this way. I asked an other employee if she treats everyone like this and he said yes. I told him she hurt my feelings. He said I'm sorry.

I'm very unhappy with my recent experience with this location, which sucks because I'm currently pregnant and have been craving it for days n I finally went n was so unsatisfied with the whole experience!! I was informed they were out of chicken,? Except shredded/chopped chicken n that someone or something like a manager came n picked up all the chicken due too them closing within a hour a half ? Which made no sense at all, well . I was car less so I didn't wanna walk anywhere else so me n my bf decided too just order something from the menu. I ordered tacos . Which were undercooked and dry . Long story short . I spent 38$ between one pollo bowl n 3 tacos . N none of it ended up being eaten . My bf didn't like his either .

I had been wanting to healthy troubled chicken meal for some time now so I decided why not let's give El Pollo Loco shot I went to the location on 50th Avenue and Mcdowell Westside Phoenix,ILL CUT TO THE CHASE: if you're going to charge an arm and a leg at least make sure the staple of your business is top-notch their chicken in this location was horrible super dry I spent $49 don't these people understand that the economy is tough right now that at least they could do is provide a service that they could be proud of when they're serving their chicken I wish I could get my money back I'm pretty sure it is highly doubtful the bottom line is I'm letting other people know don't waste your money at this location.

I went in over the weekend. The A/C was not working. They had their employees working in over 120 degree weather. It was about 115 outside and it was cooler outside than inside. I was very upset. Passing by the street I saw an ambulance treating another person from heat exhaustion. How irresponsable of management to not close their doors that day while the A/C got fixed. Poor workers they looked miserable. The restaurant really cared more about not losing business that day than their employees. Also, the pico was rancid. Probably was too hot and opening refrigiators couldnt keep temp.

Run away from this Pollo Loco!! Not only is their customer service horrible their drive-through line is a joke to order one salad over 20 minutes wait. Once I receive my salad and checked it in my car I literally thought I was getting Chicken breast and I literally got scraps from leftover chicken it was horrible! Once I got off of my car and spoke to the manager and I asked him if it was chicken breast what I received he literally just stayed quiet and shrub his shoulders. No apology didn’t try to make things right. I just requested my money back and left. Good luck if you decide to eat at this location it’s even scary the outside!!!

Food was nasty. I stated that I don't eat white rice and asked if it was white rice if there was a brown rice option and my whole bowl I bought was half full of the white rice with a couple of tablespoons of beans and about a 5 bite size pieces of chicken. I ate the 5 bite size pieces of chicken and a couple of bites of the rice and bean mixture. It made me so sick to my stomach. The girl was not helpful to find an alternative to not wanting white rice and being allergic to wheat. Definitely not a place I will spend money at again. 5 bites of chicken is not worth $5. And some change.

No white meat chicken. Chicken is in your name so how do you not have white meat chicken?!?!. Opted for the new carnitas quesadilla. Meat is clumped in one spot, avocado in another, etc. This is not good at all. I would not recommend. Maybe its just this location. Did not get the side of beans I ordered. Did not get the pico de gallo I asked for. Instead got chips and a ton of green sauce. Very disappointing. Your service and food have gone downhill.

Second time having their food and I must say that it was better than I remember it being the last time. EVERYTHING was very good, cooked perfectly (chips were a little overcooked) but other than that it was BOMB! I even ordered the overstuffed Nacho quesadilla on top of the Family Meal My Family really enjoyed it. Had plenty of food for all 4 of us and enough for a snack later ‼️ Service was great and fast. The guy who helped us was very nice and seemed to love his job! I plan to visit again soon & I highly recommend that you do as well!!

The food was dry and the tables were all dirty. Trash overflowing in trash bins. We kept having to check our car as there were people lingering around near the hotel next door. Did not feel safe at this location.

This please service old food chicken was hard and chipped my tooth and the rice was hard and beans were runny. We were not happy with what we got we threw it away not to mention we paid $31 for that meal and when we went to talk to someone about it the next day they said because we didn't have the food they couldn't give us a refund. Guess I'm going to have to go in the trash and get the food and take it back. Whatever happened to the customer is always right does that not happen anymore. Where is the customer service?

Not sure when El Pollo Loco stopped serving their vegan/vegetarian burritos, but they did. Really bad marketing idea on their part. So several friends and I won't be eating there ever again. During covid I stopped eating out, but now that it's gotten a little better, I thought I would try eating out again. I saw the vegan/veg burrito were no longer on the menu and there are too many other places for quick food to choose from to have to settle for a place that won't give more vegan/vegetarian options.

Never again. They screwed up my order, I called to speak to the manager was given to some man called Eduardo was told that I could come back and get a meal within the next month, I go in and am told no one by that name works there but the manager did the right thing and honored my side of the story. I still need to make a complaint to corporate. They kept the receipt but I took a photo. The store gets 2 stars only because of the manager. They don't keep their salsa bar stocked or very clean.

Today I thought I could grab a quick drive thru meal for the kids. As I had paid for the Chicken the girl informs me there will be a 15 minute wait for the Chicken. I ordered a 16 piece meal with the three sides, not a lot of chicken. So anyways I was asked to wait in the Parking Lot for the chicken. It was upsetting to have to wait for the chicken, they should really plan and cook accordingly. There was hardly any cars in the parking lot. I'm not sure why they wouldn't have chicken ready.

Drive-thru chicken has NO RIGHT to be this damn good. Fuuuuuuugh... like, I think about this chicken daaaays after I've had it. Ya'lls do be killin' it. My only complaint is that when I want to add chicken pieces to a combo, they say it'll be an additional charge and ask if I'm sure. Like, mudafkn yeah, I'm sure, OBVI it's gonna cost more. Just skip that part so I can get it in my mouth sooner.

My first time here, ordered 2 pc chicken got a 3 pc.. ordered 3 kids meal only got 1, she offered chips & salsa with guacamole got 2 only wanted one. The lady didn't understand me when I placed the order I didn't understand her either. I had the burrito it was good my grdau enjoyed the 3pc .. i paid $30 for wrong order not happy with the outcome and spent too much money the kids didnt even eat I had to go elsewhere for the toddlers. Was a big hassle.

I love their Chicken. It is rotisserie, and not fried. It is so good, awesome flavor and their salads just great.

"NEVER AGAIN" I come here, i stop to get a dinner order. Before i go back to my Hotel, ordered 2 piece chicken neal with 2 side, choice of tortilla. When i arrived at the hotel. I was shocked to see 2 small pieces of chicken, and side orders. Half of the flour tortilla was hard. Price was too high. I been in better Restaurant, this one very unsatisfied. I'd CHICKEN FIESTA. in Virginia and POLLO TROPICAL in Florida, these are Awesome

It was very nice and cool for my husband. He worked for El Pollo loco in Los Angeles California around the 80's and he love his work he started telling the cashier and she was very nice and caring to him, she asked questions about that time and it was very nice to see how they were very caring about their work... Drive thru one Thursday 6:00 pm...had to wait 25 min for mix family meal...unacceptable when all they sell is chicken...on previews visits other only legs and thighs available for a family meals. Call April 3, 2023, proximately 13,25 hrs. I ordered a large chicken soup with two. I don’t understand why there is not a standard for the soup. I didn’t get any Fixin‘s or sides for example, the cheese or cilantro, along with the chips that come with the soup. Place is not very clean. All of the tables had food crumbs or food waste.

Great place! Friendly staff! They are always smiling. Clean store. Great food! Wow the chicken is Devine. The enchilada plates are delicious. I love that they put a portion of beans and rice with it. There is a wonderful salsa station. You can serve up what you like. I loved this place and I will return. They really need to upgrade the seating benches. They are in desperate need. Outside of that, thumbs up!

We are staying at the hotel right next this place. We read the reviews and thought we would save our money. Then we got hungry. So we thought ok we will try it. I got the 4 piece chicken. Mashed potatoes and gravy and the beans. It came with 4 tortillas. It was awesome. My husband got the street tacos. They also were delicious. Everything was hot. We were pleasantly surprised and now we are stuffed.

The worst El Pollo Loco i have evey had. Food was nasty and i was given the incorrect order. When i spoke to the manager and advised him my order was incorrect he had the I dont care attitude. I explained i have a copy of the online order and and the receipt that was given he could care less. He is the night time shift leader. I cant believe they would put him in charge of anything

Pollo Loco does not deserve my business. The cashier didn't allow me to use the restroom before making a purchase even after telling him that I was going put my order after using the restroom. The nachos were missing cheese. I was missing the avocado I requested on the side. The rice and bean were not good and instead we left them for my chickens to eat. Will never go there again.

We have eaten at the restaurant before, but only for a meal or two. We were celebrating a employee hitting a 10 yr anniversary with us. We ordered for lunch ahead of time online the night before. Having been in foodservice I understand how difficult it can be to get everything that is ordered all fresh and hot, EXCELLENT JOB! Fresh, tasty, on time. Will definitely eat there again.

Im not sure if it's due to the pandemic but the counters were gross, they claim to have no peppers until I asked them to double check...of course they found some in the back. They also tried to charge 50 cents for an extra salad dressing after I spent $30. Customer services was very poor, and manager Javi is very arrogant. I love EPL but wont be returning to that one!

Enjoyed a nice dinner with my family. The double chicken avocado plate was a great choice and low on calories, too!. My kids really like the chicken with pinto beans and tortillas. Place has 5-6 employees, yet the service is slow and one person does the front orders and drive thru orders. Dead Cockroach in the light fixtures, unless it was old Halloween decoration, not good.

Technically got robbed by pollo loco. Paid for a 3 piece meal & extra flour tortillas. Only got 2 pieces & 1 bag of tortillas. Couldn't go back because they were already closed & won't be able to prove it tomorrow. Wish people would be a little more attentive to orders, especially since there was only one other customer. Still amazing food tho, will keep returning.

The place was nice and clean but the chicken was dry dry dry. I don't remember the chicken being so dry the first time I ever ate at El Pollo Loco. The food there would be great if it just wasn't so dry the beans and the rice or great I like the tortillas and I like the salad bowls. All the food here is really good its just that the chicken is dry.

I had a good time there with my baby. The food was good the ingredients for fresh customer service was excellent. We dined in and laughed and loved each other as we stared longingly into each other's eyes. I stole pieces of her tostada salad while she was not looking. Lol. Seriously go ahead and check out El Pollo Loco you won't be disappointed.

Angel Lopez customer service and patient with a very non intelligent, rude customer was masterful. Pollo Loco should be very proud of him as a employee! Their grilled chicken is very good, a lot better than KFC and Churches. Healthier too. The chicken flavor is just right to the taste buds. They offer a variety of salsas with your meal. They've got superb salads, tacos, tostadas...etc. All good & at reasonable prices too. Their service is quick and friendly staff. Definitely recommend.

When you ask for NO GUAC, NO PICO, & extra dressing. This is what you get, everything you didn’t want etc. Listening/comprehension skills are a must in customer service. Paying attention to details pls.

This is the best tasting and manged Pollo Loco. Angel Lopez, treated me extremely well and also helped me with my punctuation. This guy is truly a genius and I am not the only person that feels that way. Pollo Loco corprate needs to take a good look at him. He might be under utilized as a store manager, he should be in corporate.

Asked for a double chicken bowl with no sour cream and they gave me a bowl with sour cream. When I let the person know they said sure no problem I’ll take care of it and when they return the bowl they just cleaned it out but have the same bowl with sour cream smeared on the side of the bowl and on pieces of the chicken.

It was alright. I DID NOT like the prices!! Pretty high priced for what you get. It was $8 for a meal that DOESN'T include drinks! And the plates were very small. This was my FIRST and LAST time coming here. Next time I'll take my $11 and go to my favorite ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT BUFFET and be totally happy and satisfied.

I always go to the restaurant on 51st and McDowell. Something about there seasoning on there chicken. The rice and beans for my sides, flour tortillas because I just love flour tortillas. They are not picky when you ask for specific salsa. Most likely will now head that way for a meal ♥️♥️♥️ …

George and the whole crew at this El Pollo Loco are great! Consistently good food, salsa bar always well kept and catering is great! They always remember spoons for the salsa (because I forget to ask) and take the time to double check and make sure the order is correct. I really appropriate the extra effort.

It's bad enough that the chicken is expensive and the sad thing is that when you order a Lrg. Amy of a meal, and you get home to feed the family, chicken is dry and hard. It seems like they warmed it up to many times or cooked it twice cause it was also burned. Felt like I was chewing on rubber. Not a happy

Bad restaurant. Must be me. I've had better food in a rougher neighborhood. Plus the chickens are very small which lead a person to think that they're not eating chicken at all and charging exorbitant prices. Bad guys. There are plenty of other restaurants to give your business to. Wake up El Pollo Loco.

They are friendly and get your order right. The food is great and you can find what you like on the menu for a good price. From a $5 dollar bowl meal that comes with tortillas and a drink or a 3 piece meal for a little more. IT's Great, I definitely would recommend this place for fast food crazy chicken.

The food quality has diminished. The prices have increased substantially and they no longer give tortillas with the chicken only meals. The green salsa, tastes watered-down with just a hint of avocado and the Pico de gallo tastes like yesterday's left overs. Most importantly, the chicken is not as fresh.

Maggy was great! Asked her for a recommendation and she pointed me In the right direction. Beef quesodilla was on point. Great food and even better service. I'll be coming back as long as maggy is there. Treated me like family!

The food was good but we didn't get utensils for our salad bowl and mashed potatoes and gravy. There were also no napkins. There were only 2 avocado slices in the salad bowl and the bowl was sideways in the bag so presentation wise it looked terrible. Very disappointed as I love eating at El Pollo Loco!

I bought a $50 digital gift card in 2020. Today is 11/16/2022 and still haven't been able to use this giftcard I've called customer service I've recived a replacement and for some reason I still can't use this dam card this is a joke. All they say is will look into it. Stay away from the gift cards

Ordered the mixed 8 piece chicken. After arriving home, the chicken appeared to be missing chunks off a couple breasts & thighs, & the wings were basically meatless. Flavor was also bland as well. El Pollo Loco is a great place to eat so I will just avoid this location & go to the next closest one.

Angel Lopez was an awesome customer service rep. Not only does he have excellent English skills, but he is a patient and understanding rep. 10/10 will come back again. Angel is a great guy and I don't come for just the food. I also come back because he provides excellent customer service. Thanks!

Always a great alternative from other fast food chains, particularly chicken joints (except LOLO'S, place is bomb AF) Food was gas nonetheless Employees andaban en putisa but got our food served just on time. Don't let the busy area discourage you from this spot. Definitely recommended.

I received chicken that smelled absolutely foul and when I called they said they would give me a refund next time I went if I gave them my name and phone number. Next day I go the same manager I spoke to said she never authorized a refund. Terrible food and terrible customer service

As advanced as technology is now I just wish they had better speakers and sound in the drive thru. I don't blame the cashiers for not getting my order right. It's the headsets and speakers that make it hard to communicate. I know because I was a cashier back in the days …

I love their chicken tortilla bowls especially the Southwest one. The restaurant was very clean and the servers was very nice and courteous to the customers and the prices was reasonably. I will recommend this place to my friends and family members to eat at for lunch or dinner.

Sign said new shrimp tacos. I ordered 3. All were 4 dollars and change for a small taco with only 3 tiny pieces of shrimp in eachs with over load of cabbage. Very bland with no taste. Id put 0 starts but thats not possible. Never going back again. Not worth any amount of money.

I usually always purchase their tostada salads. And they are always so full. But this last time my shell was maybe 3/4 full. It was a little disappointing. But since I got to go there wasn't much I could do about it. . I should have looked at it before I left. El Pollo Loco.

I haven't eaten here, nor can I because I live in Canada and only eat halal. I just wanted to say that Angel Lopez's interaction with the loser was perfect. He kept it too cool. Even I was getting frustrated listening to the customer. I don't know how he kept it that cool.

Can't deny it. Chicken is good. Is a pity Burritos should have a variety of meats also. Expensive food actually. They serve you less fo a $$.

Why are all El Pollo filthy. Tables are not wiped down. That's the beginning. Very poor service. This location right in the center of several motels, so you would think it this place would be far more mindful. No stars this time. But to post. It says you have to pick one.

I'm not sure why but the chicken at this location tastes so much better and fresher then any other el pollo loco I've ate at in the Phoenix area. Find out what that cook is doing because they are doing it right!

Horrible experience waited in drive thru 18 minutes!!!!!! Then when I got home my order wasn’t even correct. Tried calling restaurant but no one answers the phone. Pollo loco falling off big time. Shame

For fast food, it's really good and somewhat cheap. On the other hand, there are a ton of other mexican restaurants around that look a lot more authentic and are probably better than a franchise place.

I have been coming here for almost ten years! This is my favorite Pollo Loco location. The chicken is fire-grilled to perfection, and I always receive phenomenal service.

Stopped in for a late dinner. Was able to quickly place my order for a 3 piece meal, which included 2 sides, 2 corn tortillas and drink. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The meal was ready in a timely manner, was hot and tasty.

Delicious!!! Had the Crazy Burrito and it was the best tasting heart attack I've ever had

Love this place every time I visit my family in that area it's a must to stop we are from New Mexico Alamogordo you guys should consider opening one in this area next to holloman Air Force Base as well.. yummy …

I don't know why, but here in Arizona el Pollo Loco tastes a lot better than California. In this location the people behind the counter have always been really nice! Maybe that has also something to do with it.

I wa a little disjointed with the burrito I ordered, it had some sort of a red ( possibly Chipotle sauce) and it was too over powering for me. But that's just my taste buds. Customer service was good

Great tasty food but prices are pretty high compared to other fast food joints. The Pollo bowls are real good and better than McDonald's or Jack in the Box but again you'll be paying more.

Pollo chicken bowl for $5, includes tortillas pr chips and a drink. Great price, tasty food. Other than not getting my avocado salsa in my bag at drive thru, I love this place.

They are always really nice and your food is made to order. They serve very good chicken. I would give them 5 stars but they need to keep the salsa bar fresh as well. Kuddos!

Queso blanco is very good here and so is your chicken everything just might be a little pricey but if you're willing to spend it you'll definitely enjoy it

This location did have any wing lover meals and the customer service was bad.

Normally I love El Pollo Loco, but today was on the low side. I ordered the tostada salad, but only received the salad. Ah well, still good chicken.
