Car rental companies try to add exuberant insurance and charges on their clients rentals all the time with handling fees and selling expensive insurance plans. In my case my insurance company offered me $75 dollars per day to rent another my car as my Tesla was getting serviced. I called up my local enterprise location (where I rent from all the time). On the phone they said I can rent any car on the lot for that price with all cost covered- I asked for an electric car an they said they have a Tesla S for me. Happily I went there at my appointment time. They showed me the only Black Tesla S - it had scratches and paint chips. The customer service guy said I have to pay taxes on top of the $75 dollar rental. And I said I was told differently. He said he will waive it this time but note my account for all future rentals. Next he said I have to buy insurance which is $50 per day on top of my rental of $75 dollar per day. And after I mentioned that my insurance and credit card covers that he got upset and trying to scare me that I will be liable for the cost of the full price of the car ($90K) and I said I know how much a Tesla cost - I have one. He asked for my CC and said we will be placing a hold of $500-$1500. It was not the outrageous charges he wanted me to cover but the attitude he was giving me - every time I asked a question about these charges and to justify them. He treated me that I am headed for disaster by not purchasing the $50 per day insurance. I thought about this later and wish there would be some consumer protection or regulation that stopped these rental companies from ripping off clients.

This was the best experience I have ever had!! My car was stolen and my insurance had gotten me a reservation to a location that was not open on the weekends. Being that my kiddos have daily service being without a car is not an option so I called around. This particular location closed at 1 on Saturday's and yep it was 1215. Thought I was not going to make it as the previous rep had asked us to be there by 1245. Well Lyft was apparently busy that day. (Have to give up to our Lyft driver got us there 5 minutes til closing). Things ran so smoothly walked in gave id debit card showed my insurance policy and boom out on the lot. She showed us which car would be covered with minimal out of pocket expense and even showed us other options and the out of pocket expense as well. We opted to trade up and just like that we were done. Signed and initial a few areas and even gave us some insight with insurance. I wish ever experience was like this one! Staff was friendly courteous and helpful. The facility looks a bit run down as the location is not one that I would consider to be repitable. However they do over a wide range of rentals from fun cars like mini Cooper's to standard full and even extra premium vehicles like suvs crossover and trucks. A truck is what I had ultimately went with and let me tell you I am now a TRD fan! They even offer box truck vehicles work vans etc. The location may not be prine but the staff and selection makes up for it 200%. I will forever make this my go to rental place

The vehicle was not properly washed when the key was handed to me. I had to request a proper cleaning as tree saps were all over the hood of the car. The gas was not filled completely. The gas needle was closer to 3/4 mark and it was noted in the rental paper as 7/8 complete. When pointed out, the attendant told me to bring back the vehicle with about the same amount of gas in the vehicle like it is easy to fill the gas exactly to the point. He even told me I can keep the engine key engaged while filling the gas. Like most people, I fill the gas until it fills up. I try to estimate 3/4 gas mark but that was fail. It ended up with extra $15 out of pocket gas in the tank. COVID shouldn't change companies from being a humane operation. Business needs to allow bathroom access to customers. To deny access to toilet to customer who needs to use it is beyond ridiculous. The enterprise rental car location is in the middle of residential neighborhood and no other convenient access to bathroom is available. After driving 3 hours to drop off the vehicle, I couldn't use the toilet. They sited COVID as a reason for not allowing customers to use the toilet. I had to retake a possession of the car to find a bathroom somewhere in the town. I certainly couldn't walk around the town towing my luggage looking for a bathroom.

I had to rent a car from this place because my car was in a collision and my insurance company automatically connected this company to me. I loved this place at first time not just because of convenient location or something like that physically but other than that, very nice and perfectly kind staffs. Literary to say, they were all nice and really appreciated again :) However, when I have received final invoice, it was really shocking as I have to pay an additional about $360 out of my pocket to cover 9 day insurance even though it was partly covered already by my insurance company (another $300 or so) So, they charged me more than $660 at total only for insurance for 9 days. That will be an amount which can cover 12 month normal car insurance :( How come could I expect I will have to pay 12 month insurance costs for just 9 days beforehand ? And they did not even tell me the insurance will be a really huge amount like this previously. I never understood or realized this before billing. :( It's was much bigger than a rental car amount too. Looks like they are making a money from insurance while pretending to offer a reasonable price for car itself. Don't take this bait

Excellent Service by Susan, Leo and staff. This was my 1st experience of renting out a car through Enterprise with recommendation from my insurance company - Geico after i met with an accident. The whole process was smooth, staff polite, helpful and honest. I was told of all the prices and terms very clearly. The rent + taxes were covered by my insurance and as promised i was not charged anything out of pocket at end of term as i had returned the vehicle without any damage and at appropriate fuel level. I 1st rented dodge grand caravan minivan and then chevrolet silverado pickup truck for the total duration. Both the vehicles were new, well maintained and i had no issues when i wanted to upgrade the cars. They pick you up and then drop you back as well. Also, we have an option to return the vehicle at any location across bay. Only recommendation - i had an accident on sunday but since enterprise doesn't operate on sunday, i could not rent a card until monday morning. If you could entertain such request maybe through online booking or deliver cars in such cases that would be awesome. Thanks!

I don't normally post reviews but I had to this time. I have been coming to this enterprise off and on renting trucks for my business and there has been some up and owns with previous management. Laura N has changed all that, she has always had my back and did the best she can to always get me a truck in tight, stressful situations. She has always accommodated me the best she can! She conducts herself incredibly professional and is extremely friendly. Laura has made a huge difference here and all other enterprise offices should follow her lead. She makes sure the little guy does not get left behind. A lot of Enterprise locations these days could care less about renting you a truck when they would rather just find someone to take long term instead of a couple days or so. I am a small mom & pops moving company and when I can rent trucks based off my work volume it helps me save tons of money! All in all Laura n is incredible and Enterprise is very lucky to have her! Thank you Laura for all your help and your the only reason I rent from enterprise!

I’d give a zero star if possible. I look young so they tried to tell me anything lol I went in for a rental car thru my insurance and when I got help after a long wait he told me that the id I have I couldn’t use so he told me go to the dmv and get a print out of the new license I had to purchase and when I come back I could take the one of the Chevy sparks he had left. Then I asked to reserve it so i would have a for sure rental when I came back from the dmv. He then told me you couldn’t reserve the vehicle it was a first come first serve type of thing so I said okay and I’ll be right back. I was at the dmv for 2 hours and finally got the paperwork needed. I arrived back at the enterprise location and showed the man the paper. I pointed to the Chevy spark and asked why there was a sticker on it ( as if it was reserved for someone) and he told me that the last 2 cars they had had already been reserved while I was gone. Horrible service here. I look young so I’m guessing that’s why he lied to me? Idk. But I would NOT recommend going here.

Rather negative experience overall. We had an appointment through Geico. The rental car was supposed to be delivered to the repair facility, but it wasn't. When we got here, it turned out our reservation number didn't have an appointment associated with it for some reason, and there was no suitable car available. We took what was available with the intention to exchange it later. It took us 2 extra visits to get an acceptable car. Before taking the car, I double checked if it would be covered by Geico in full, and they told me it would, and I shall only be responsible for sales tax of about $30. In the end I paid over $110 in taxes, even though the final bill showed taxes of about $60. After talking to the advisor, it still wasn't 100% clear where this amount came from. They also tried to overcharge me for fuel, but I was able to negotiate that. I don't think it was done on purpose, the cars are just not fully fueled, which leads to confusion.

I had a horrible experience at this specific location. I walked here from the airport to be met by a dude with a horrible attitude with no desire to help. Unfortunately for me, I grabbed my wife’s credit card and only had my debit card so was told I had to go to the airport location to pay double the rate I had already secured. That was on me but the attitude of the rep was horrible. Additionally, my employer is an insurance company that does millions of dollars of business with this company and I had a rate set up based of my employers discount. Before I was told I had to go back to the airport the rep insisted I provide a pay stub to prove my employment. Who still gets paystubs?! Apparently my company code isn’t sufficient. That is also understandable but this rep had no desire to find other options to prove my employment. This experience made me question why I recommend this business on a weekly basis to MY customers.

TL:DR I hate renting cars, Cole is a pro, I got exactly what I wanted/needed First, I detest renting cars, lastly, I loathe renting cars. It is a huge hassle I rather not get myself involved with. A group of awesome friends and I planned a trip to Tahoe. We all wanted to ride in the same vehicle but logistically it would be difficult. Seven seats with room for all the gear. I made reservations and went to pick it up. I parked then was immediately greeted by Cole. He was very pleasant and professional. That put me at ease right away. The paper work was quick and painless. It was though my reservation made a difference. He got me an eight passenger Suburban with the bells and whistles. He took the time to show me all the features, one by one. I was very impressed by his knowledge. I signed the last bit of paperwork. They handed me the keys and I peeled out of that lot like a bat out of hell. Just kidding, kind of, maybe.

My insurance carrier set up a rental after an accident. The insurance pays up to $25 a day. Enterprise agent told me I just have to pay the tax over $25. After I checked my credit card bill this month I found over $1700.00 charged for the rental car this month. They actually charged $50 dollars plus tax each day. Be careful with this company; they play off the 25 $ day wording; they charge the insurance company $25 per day and me $25 per day but only mention its 25$ per day. After ten days, insurance doesn't pay and my cost is actually over $1700.00 for the month. If they had been clear it was that much, I would have bought a used car or shopped around instead of getting the car from enterprise. They also never answer the phone. I was forced to take time off work and go there for any communication. Very poor customer service at this location.

The gentleman who helped me really rubbed me the wrong way, the moment I said I was using my chau’s sapphire credit card (covers any insurance cost so I wouldn’t need to purchase additional coverage) he immediately became salty. He additional told me he had to confirm the card I was using by removing the credit card cover I had ontop of it when CLEARLY the back of the card said chase credit card. Like come on man, he even said he wouldn’t be reimbursing me for ruining the credit card cover I had. Then he put me into and impala that smelled like an ashtray. I had to call back a day later to ask to see if anything can be done. The gentleman I spoke to told me I could swap out the cars which I really appreciated. He totally saved this reservation, but i will definitely not be coming back due to the initial gentleman who rubbed me the wrong way.

This was the first time I rented a car from Enterprise and Cole helped me out during the entire process. I had opted for the cheapest option available on their website and rented out a Hyundai Elantra compact car for 3 days. The car was horrible. It decelerates faster than it accelerates. AC was taking too long to cool and the steering wheel is hard. I went in again later that day and simply told Cole the problems I was having with the car. He is a pro. He handed me over the keys of BMW 430i hardtop convertible without asking me twice about the Hyundai. What an amazing car. I was not charged anything extra. I am extremely thankful and grateful to Cole for giving me an awesome experience with Enterprise. I will definitely come back again! Thanks a lot to Cole and Enterprise! Made my weekend twice special <3

Rented a truck to take camping in Yellowstone national forest. We got the truck we wanted and picking up the truck was easy. Everything is done outside so that the employees and customers are safe. Dropping off was also fast and easy. Only thing keeping me from hitting the 5star is when picking up, I had to wait for my vehicle to arrive from another location even though I reserved 3 weeks in advance. I didn’t have the time it took to wait and so my morning plans were put on the back burner while I waited. It cost me time I can not get back. I think they should honor their reservations and have the vehicles there when we reserved them for. Enterprise is the best car rental company hands down and I will be renting from them again.

“Hey, we noticed you reserved and are picking up a truck for your business in 45 minutes. Please call your insurance and have them name us as also insured. Oh, that’s not enough time to change your insurance policy? Not a problem, we’ll just force you to accept our $65 insurance policy (that neither Penske nor Ryder forced you to buy when you rented from them.)” “Oh, you’re just dropping your truck off? Well you’re going to have to wait 20 minutes to hand us the key because we have to help other customers first. No, there’s no checkout process or paperwork or anything, you will literally just hand us they keys when it’s your turn, but these people were here first so you have to wait.”

I called ahead to check availability. When I arrived 10 minutes later there were no vehicles available. They gave me an "upgrade" but said it would be $6 per day. Upon return 10 days later... it was $120.00 (after insurance covered $45/day)... the car itself had issues with the breaks, poor maintenance I suppose... but the breaks were grinding and squeeling the whole time. I called to ask to swap the car to any family style car, they said they would call back when something is available.. but didn't. I am happy to be done with this transaction... my past experience with the airport location was way better.. no issues really. Hopefully this is a one-off occurrence for them.

Due to an auto accident, my insurance company set me up with a rental. They sent a van to pick me up, once there the people were friendly and very helpful. The insurance only covered the rental for a week. Enterprise had no problem with me keeping it a few extra days. The paperwork was all electronic. She verified l added gas and the end miles. They also had their van give me a ride home, since finding a ride was a little difficult. The van driver was very friendly and a good driver. He would wait around to make sure those he dropped off got in their cars or into their house in my case. This location is a little off the beaten path but worth finding by the airport.

Okay, there is something about the staff at this rental office.. They are very nice and courteous to customers, and yet they maintain the flow of traffic with expediency that I seldom see in other retail services. On one occasion, I was interested in a particular size of vehicle but they didn't have one available in system, however, they took the trouble of walking through the back/side and found one that just wasn't processsed and cleaned up yet, so they got it through the wash and readied it for me within 10 mins. Good job to the support team, I've been here many times, and every time has been consistent enough though it's a different person.

Terrible company, terrible staffs!!! Liars!!! They charge my credit card a week after my rental terminated without permission and I've been trying to get my money back for almost two week, calling everyday and writing emails. I bet I've speak to most of the salesman through the phone!However, they didn't take it seriously.....even though they knew that it was a mischarge!!! Every staff told me that they will take care of it in a really kind and gentle way, but I still can't see any progress now Don't ever give them your credit card number easily!!!

Due to a few incidents beyond our control, we've had to rent form Enterprise on Kerley Ave. in North San Jose. This past week, we had the pleasure of working with Austin at this location. Austin was very welcoming and understanding our needs when it came to the specific type of vehicle we wanted to rent. The check-in and check-out process was very efficient. Cannot recommend this branch enough. I need to come back to get a car from them twice in a month due to my car need more time to fix. Both time was superb services from Cole. He even dropped me off at the body shop the first time when I thought my car was done. The second time he went above and beyond to get me a great deal on a reservation and give a best car I could think of, a convertible BMW. He was both friendly and super professional. I never thought renting a car could get this much exciting.

I made the unfortunate decision to book with another rental agency when flying into San Jose recently. They were out of cars at the airport and had no suggestions for helping me out. I called Enterprise and spoke with an extremely helpful agent who directed me to one of their two locations close by. Within 15 minutes I was at the agency and had a car. I can't say enough about how helpful they were, and how Fernando and the other staff members at Kerley Dr. were friendly, engaging, and professional.

Location is clean and great thing I liked about this location is they confirmed a day before with me to see if I still need a reservation because I have booked a Mini Van and they have only couple of them. Wait time was very minimal and staff were friendly. I have found couple of US passports which was left by the previous renter of that vehicle and I was able to give it to them and they assured that they contact all previous renters for that Vehicle and share update about passport.

Renting a standard class car for the weekend. Ended up with a standard convertible vehicle. The car is clean and sanitized before I get in it, and the check in and the check out process was done outside to support social distancing (2020 situation). Jose was the representative that greeted me, he is really cordial and straight to the point. He is really great through the walk through process. Will come back to the branch when I come back to San Jose.

I came to this location without my license because my license got stolen. I had a temporary from dmv but they said they couldn’t accept it. Austin asked his supervisor, Daisy who then asked her managers and with their help I was able to get my car. They helped me tremendously and I am grateful for them! They didn’t have to help me as much as they did. Great service. Also Jules was super friendly when I came in to return my vehicle!

The most stress free rental experience I’ve had to date. I had the pleasure of renting from this facility when my car was in for repairs with AAA. The staff is the best part of the experience. Marcos checked me in quickly and had a few great selections for me to choose from. When it was time to get my car back, Danny (I hope I’m remembering his name!) made sure all my paperwork was set and that the car was in great shape.

I very much appreciate Enterprise being close to me, they work with you as far as likes, .they offer water if there is a long line.Their customer service is kind , quick as they can. If u leave sunglasses in the care they hold them for you, of course its appreciated if we pik up our lost and found quickly. I totally appreciate their smiles! I had a reservation for a "premium pickup" for a week and a half, but when I got there in the morning no pickup to be found. They said they could not contact me because they didn't have my information, but where able to pull it up when I got there( weird).They offered to rent me a way bigger truck which would of been pointless for a higher price of course. I would not recommend this location at all.

I was not satisfied with my experience at the Enterprise rental center in San Jose. First, the cars I was offered had “scratches”, “dings” and even cracks in the windshields. Luckily, they switched me over to another car with less issues. When I returned the car, a driver took me to the airport and although he was nice, he smelled like he had been smoking pot. Overall, I was dissatisfied.

Even though this location is a little out of the way from where I live, I make it a point to visit this location. Marcos, Daissy, and Jules are the most friendly sales team I've ever met, and their service is incredible, and they make you feel like family. I cannot stress enough just how much of a pleasure they've made my visits, and I cannot recommend this location enough.

The process was simple and easy. The only thing i didn't like: I didn't get the Truck i wanted, even with the advance noticed. According to them, the policies no guarantee of vehicle and not able to check other site. but if given a week notice, enterprise should be able to accommodate a specific vehicle... I guess the policies need to change and provide a customer desire.

I was pleased with the customer service at this Enterprise. I needed a rental car for 40 days and I had to call often to update my reservation. One associate that stood out was Jules. Jules was so polite, patient, thorough, and professional. The office is busy but they address every customer that walks in and they move as fast and as efficiently as they can.

Best kind of experience for a car rental. All charges explained up front, no upselling, in and out with friendly service. The car was great and sized as promised. No surprises and happy experience. Renting off airport is a little less expensive as well. I rent from Enterprise as often as possible for the competent. confident service experience.

I have gone twice to this location and both times they have received me very well, welcoming me and helping me out as soon as I walk through the door. Staff is very kind and proffesional. They help you get a vehicle as soon as possible. This location is busy every time i have gone so book ahead of time if you want a certain vehicle.

I am most satisfied with my experience here at Enterprise. I booked online a couple hours prior to myself and my family wanting to go on a road trip and Daniel was able to make it happen. I got over charged the transactions for two times. And the credit is kill me off. And the third time charged is without asking me, charged automatically in their system. I wonder if someone has lower credit, how can they stand for the triple transaction been charge in two days. Very bad experience in here.

For the time that I had the truck, Enterprise has been nothing but awesome. Any questions I had it was taken care of immediately. No problems with oil changes or when the truck needed tires. Turning in the truck was quick, and Fatima explained what needed to be explained. She was great. Thank you.

Nice people but took an hour to get the car when checking in. Upon check out the bill increased by about 30% so I had to pull out the original reservation to get the original price - thus I guess the moral of the story is keep your reservation paperwork handy to avoid sudden price increases.

They didn't have my full size car that was reserved. So they gave me an upgrade to a new Jeep Renegade at no extra charge. Just a super car with comfort and plenty of room for 3 adults going about 500 miles to Palm Springs. Great car to have everyday. And their service was excellent.

When I arrived there was a little confusion, but everything was sorted out. I originally had reserved a suv, but the individual that had the rental was arriving late, I was offered a van which turned out to be perfect. Carlos went out of his way to resolve any problem that came up.

1. We paid for a toll road transponder that didn’t work 2. We had to take the vehicle to get new wind shield wipers. 3. The key fob has a low battery I think with better customer service this could all been avoided. I called enterprise to inform them and never received a call back.

My experience with the Enterprise at Kerley Drive, San Jose was great. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had rented a Corolla 2016 for 4 days. The car was neat and clean. I would recommend this Enterprise location and would love to rent from them in the future !

I was very pleased that I got a free upgrade. I did not like that dealing with Enterprise for over 30 years they charged me a $200 deposit. It use to be a deposit of $100 if a person did not have a major credit card. I was turned off by that or would have given 5 stars.

I use this location once a year or so because I need to leave my 350Z around the corner at the Zcar Garage for work. The rates are great the selection is as well. But most of all, the staff here is professional and very accommodating. They are truly five star.

My experience with Enterprise was great. Me and my husband checked out a van for a family trip and they made it super easy. Check out was fast and the drop off was even faster. They were ready with the car we needed and we didn’t have any issues. It was great!
