I attended the Evergreen Spa Bathhouse today, and was extremely unimpressed with my experience. The masseuse seemed to have no idea what she was doing, and the whole experience was very un-relaxing. I was first told the previous person arrived late, which pushed my massage 15 minutes late. But my massage was cut short 20 minutes short, because the masseuse had someone else coming and that apparently had to start on time and I didn’t matter. I then walked into the room and the bed was not made, still had used towels and bed cover from the previous person, which my masseuse started to remake the bed with the used towels and reuse for me, and only changed them because I asked them to be (hate to think what they do behind closed doors). I had booked an hour body scrub and an hour full body massage, which the manager and masseuse confirmed at the start of the treatment. Halfway through the body scrub the masseuse asked if I wanted a neck massage to fill in the time remaining for the scrub, which I then reminded her I had an hour massage afterwards. She then proceeds to grumble at the fact she should’ve done the massage first. I then had to walk in a towel only, through the reception area to the bathhouse to have a shower, because the robe they’d provided would get “dirty” with the scrub (maybe provide a second robe if you’ve made a mistake). I then came back for my massage, the masseuse asked which massage I wanted, without explaining the differences or the benefits of the choices. I picked hot stone. She proceeded to just rub the stone on my body in not particularly skilled fashion or order. (I’ve had many hot stone massages before, which resembled nothing like this experience). Only one arm was done, my right arm completely forgotten. I asked that my feet be one focus area, these were massaged while I was on my stomach which caused them to cramp. The whole massage seemed very disjointed. Constantly stopping and starting, which no flow and not at all relaxing. She was very noisy in the background and kept talking to me unnecessarily. I felt more tense than when I came in as I was focusing on her not hurting me or my feet cramping. She also didn’t do any massaging while on my back and as I said, was told to leave 20 minutes earlier than I should have as “she had another client”. The bath house was quite nice and the manager did refund the massage, but it really ruined my experience and my day, and I left more tense than I went in. Please provide this masseuse more training before letting her try and massage someone else.

Very mixed feelings on this one. My masseuse was very nice however the massage itself wasn’t really up to scratch. She wasn’t methodical & kept going from one area on my body to another & then back to the same area again. She kept talking to me while I was trying to relax. She dropped the f bomb about 10mins into the massage. She clearly did not know correct towel etiquette & was fumbling with mine a little bit. She also ran a towel in the sink under tap water (yuck) & rinsed it several times to wipe the oil from me, which was completely unnecessary considering we had exclusive use of the showers after our booking - of which she seemed to not be informed of. The massage was only about 45min long rather than the hour I paid for. Full body massage but my hands and feet weren’t touched. We didn’t fill out forms so pressure or areas of concern were not even discussed. I booked a relaxation massage (NOT remedial) however I still was forced to kindly ask the masseuse to stop heavily targeting my knots. They changed our original appointment time the day of and then when we were 5min late because of the last minute change they took that off our massage time which I thought was very unreasonable! Our robes had little orange spots on them and didn’t look that clean. The sauna did not have a ladle to pour water on the rocks so we grabbed a coffee cup to use instead. On the plus side the value for money is great and the facilities themselves are nice. The jacuzzi was nice and it was great having the space all to ourselves. Our nibble platter was tasty & presented well. The receptionist is friendly too. It’s a shame the massages weren’t better.

OMG Chalita!! Evergreen has a new masseuse (obviously responding to the reviews on the old ones, which I'm only seeing now) and she is wonderful. As soon as I lay down she could identify using her hands that I had bad posture (yep), put too much of my weight on my right leg (ACL reconstruction on the other side) and spent most of my sleeping time on my left. I wanted a Thai massage but she recommended that, based on my current condition I would be too tense and it would make me feel worse, so we went with remedial. There was a good balance of relaxation feel-good massage, and getting into a few points of tension - painful at the time but felt great afterwards. Best of all, Chalita gave me some guidance on stretches to do to address my stiffness - as she said herself, she doesn't *actually* have magic hands :) But close enough; usually after I get a massage the effects disappear almost immediately. I'm still feeling the benefits of my hour with Chalita two days later - and I'm noticing, and improving, my posture. I will definitely be back. Review from once year ago also still applies :) I adore this place. Gorgeous renovations + a new relaxation area and yoga room, proper hot + cold magnesium pools and a cedar-scented sauna - apparently getting super-hot in a bath or sauna is great for your health + immune system, and it totally feels like it to me! Getting in the cold pool afterwards feels sensational too. It's fantastic value - I know it's not as fancy as some of the newer places, but I love that it feels like a proper bathhouse, not a rarefied rich person treat. Togs optional :)

Room for improvement. I was excited to try this place out and the facilities were quite nice but didn't feel completely hygienic, the ice cold bath on the day I visited wasn't very icy nor was the hot spa very hot. But the huge let down was the massage. Probably the worst one I have ever received, after a stressful week and lots of back and neck tightness the receptionist had recommended the Deep tissue. Bad idea. The massage was so unstructured and random, nothing about it was relaxing/beneficial I was holding on to the table to hard and gritting my teeth it wishing it would end. I really tried to put up with it and he positive that it would get better. The Masseuse would work on my left calf then up to my right shoulder, and across to my head then over to my left hand... it's not a game of twister!! There wasn't really any good technique or consistency which I think should be assessed for future clients. When I told her what was sore she was re positioning my body like a contortionist, The massage caused me more stress than relax or relief and I left more sore than when coming in. It seemed the goal for the masseuse was to see how much of my body she could crack instead of providing strain and stress relief. Would not recommend. As I wouldnt want anyone else to get injured during a massage here.

*Clearly states on website clothing optional* This is a women’s only bathhouse. I really enjoy coming here and even though some women choose to be completely nude, I appreciate that this is allowed by the business. If you have a problem with seeing the naked female form then this is not the place for you- do some self reflection on why it bothers you so much and go somewhere else. 1 star off because I feel that the staff should maintain the floors more regularly thru out the day- a good disinfecting mop over the floors every hour or two wouldn’t hurt. Hair sheds and it is not uncommon to see long/short hairs accumulating. Also they should enforce the no footwear policy more firmly. Other than that the bathhouse is clean, tidy and welcoming. Judging by previous comments, it seems that the massage therapists can be a bit hit/miss so my advice is to politely speak up at the START of the massage if you are unsatisfied with how it is progressing. I can’t fault my massage therapist in the slightest however she is a little chatty but that’s okay because the conversations are deep&meaningful usually about life/reality AND her technique is on point. Highly recommend a visit to the Evergreen Spa Bathhouse

Thought I'd try here for my first time. It's tucked in under the Best Western Hotel. It's a good space well utilised. Ladies only, so bathers are optional. Very reasonably priced. I started in the day spa, then had a relaxation massage and back to the spa area to loosen the muscles. While yes I did need to guide the massage therapist for a relaxing massage (she was rough and rushing), she was able to adapt and then I could properly relax. Important to communicate with your therapist about your needs, or you'll be disappointed. Don't assume they can read your mind. Be kind, let them know if it's not to your liking. Would I come back? Yes, for the day spa, as it's $25 for unlimited time.

  • Yuki Asano

I paid the $25 entry thinking this place would be like a Japanese bath house. Big mistake. You have to pay $3 extra to hire a rather grubby towel, byo everything from soap to moisturiser. As people walk around in their shoes, the tiled floors are dirty. The spa itself is pumped full of chlorine. There are only five jets in the hot tub so maybe don’t go when it’s really busy. There’s a smal sauna and a tub filled with lukewarm water which people were walking into straight from the sauna without a shower. Your own bath tub at home (if Yu have one) might be better particularly if you’re conscious about hygiene.

If you're considering this experience, you must! Make the time for yourself and allow plenty of time to really unwind and relax. I am so glad I booked a 1 hour massage with Natalie, she was amazing and even provided some insight into my body. She's very knowledgeable! I just wish I paid more attention to which showers were the Vitamin C shower- would be good to have a walk through with a staff member prior to starting as I didn't realise until I was already dressed haha! However I absolutely loved everything. I feel super relaxed and calm. Thank you so much !! So affordable too.

  • Leena B

Went with three friends yesterday and I would rate the spa experience 0 out of 5 because I wasn’t aware that clothing was optional, people were parading around naked and using the facilities including the sauna naked which isn’t very hygienic and made the whole experience uncomfortable. They need to clearly state this on their website rather than hiding it where it can be clearly missed as several of the other groups I ran into had the same sentiments. The massage however was a fantastic 5 out of 5 and I would definitely go back for that.

  • Emm C

Not sure why this place is getting such great reviews... It was busy and popular during my first visit, and everyone was friendly. However, the floors didn't feel hygienic to me... My massage appointment was late and I had to remind my therapist after what felt like an hour that I had asked for a hot stone massage. By then, the stones were BURNING hot...... There was no structure to the massage. By the time it was done, the friend I came with had waited for me so long that she wanted to go... Not enough points to make me want to return.

I held a hen's party at Evergreen using their party room and spa area. It was a fantastic location with a beautiful, private party area that was great for chatting, relaxing and playing games. It was well decorated and the optional platter and champagne were great value and delicious. The spa was clean, quiet and relaxing with showers and two large immersion pools (very warm magnesium and a cool pool). Guests were respectful of each other's space and the atmosphere was peaceful. Complimentary hot drinks were a plus too!

  • Rohini Fullinfaw

Worst massage experience ever. I booked a 60 minute deep tissue massage. The massage therapist was rude and did not seem to know what she was doing. Message did not ressemble a deep tissue message. The message therapist would scratch my head using her nails for a long period of time and at times would put pressure on my spine. I continued hoping that it would get better all though it never did. Was not relaxing and did not help relieving any tension in my muscles. Will definitely not be returning or recommend.

  • Esther Kwon

I visited for the first time last week and it was a fantastic experience for me. I got the strength to relieve my fatigue for a week and work again for a week. I visited again today and got a massage. I didn't hesitate to purchase 12 visit card. I felt good when I used this place because the staffs seemed to care about maintaining clean water and environment. I will use the spa whenever I feel tired. And It was so convenient to get a pedicure from the nail shop next to the spa. such a gorgeous!

  • Devika Kocherla

Hidden gem in the city. Located underground away from city noise are excellent spa facilities. I indulged in the 'Fresh Summer Package' which included a 30min whole body sugar scrub, 1 hour massage and unlimited use of hot sauna and magnesium spa pools (hot and cold). The bathhouse is well equipped with shower facilities including a Vitamin C shower! Take your shower gel and shampoo with you. I will definitely be back there!

I only went for a "relaxing" massage and it really wasn't very nice, certainly not relaxing. The bed I lay on was quite uncomfortable and the room far to bright. The lady used a spiky ball most of the time and was quite ruff with it, at one point I asked her to be a bit more gentle and she just stopped using it and began just moving the leg around. It certainly wasn't what I paid for and I'm not all the impressed.

  • Tammy Black

Absolutely such a treat to spend a few hours here, they easily validate your parking so that's one less stress as well. They have a cool pool, hot pool, dry sauna and various showers too, as well as a relaxation room. Maybe naively I wasn't expecting people (it's ladies only) to be nude, but you also can wear your swimming clothes if you prefer. I highly advise you get your kit off and give it a go!

  • Tina Rouvray

Upon booking I wasn't aware that, while it is female only, it is also quite common to indulge in the spa & sauna nude. But that became a moot point once we were in and relaxing in the magnesium hot spa. Everything was clean, fresh, the vitamin c showers were refreshing. The platter for two and massages were absolute heaven. Highly recommend you take the time for yourself today!

  • Juannah Ariola

I used to really like this place when it opened however recently, its not that hygienic. They are closed on Sundays so I think the best time to come here is Monday morning or weekdays when there is lesser crowd. Also, don’t like the idea of moms bringing their children like it is supposed to be a place to relax however if you are unlucky, kids crying/screaming can be there.

The moment I walked into this immaculate little sanctuary, I felt at ease. It was like stepping through a portal into the naturalistic surrounds of a Korean bath house. I have returned many times, and always leave feeling restored. Ellen, at the front desk is truly caring and genuinely wants you to have the best experience possible. A little nook to treasure!

  • Samantha Entsch

Amazing experience. This Korean style bathhouse has great massage therapist, cold and hot magnesium pools, vitamin c showers, hot sauna and much more. Women only but they somwtikea run specials for couples to come to a private spa time. My husband and I really enjoyed having the spa to ourselves for our anniversary! 10/10 will do Everytime I'm in town!!

  • Alexandra Garcia

Outstanding place. I have been to that spa about 4 times now and always with a group of friends. Great place to unwind and relax from stressful everyday life and enjoy ladies time. Cheese platter with wine just a bonus. Otherwise, sauna, spa and magnesium cool spa makes it perfect 3 hour escape! Thank you for accommodating and hosting on Sunday too

  • Annette Ogden

Loved every moment ofcthe bath house abs massage. The 30 min massage was awesome, my masseuse was incredible. Loved the ladies only vibe. Customer service was excellent. Great value for money, not at all posh. Can't recommend highly enough. I can't remember the last time i was that relaxed. I will be going back.

  • Lucy Maxwell

Cannot recommend this place enough. The staff are so lovely. The bathhouse is always clean and it is the perfect way to give yourself some self love and relaxation. I have become a regular and go at least twice a week! Do yourself a favour and try a Thai/combo massage by Natalie one day too - she is excellent.

  • Romy Thomson

Really enjoyed the spa facilities with my daughter in tow, it was very relaxing especially as there were only females. My remedial massage was amazing, she got into all my knots and was very systematic. I was in heaven! Having a read and a cup of tea on the comfy lounges afterwards was a treat. Thanks ladies!

  • Sakineh Nabizadeh

The spa and bathhouse is very good. But I had a few messages and everytime there was an issue. Do Not recommend the message. The messaurs Natali and Leena need more training; both have attitude and do not listen to instructions. The message beds make loud noise which make relaxing very hard.

  • Cleopetra T

Today was my first time I visit this day spa the place is well looked after and very clean. They offer free tea and coffee ☕ I highly recommend the massage I had Rainie as my therapist and she's one of kind! Feeling like a goddess after spending half my day there …

Such a great place to relax and have some downtime with friends just to wind down and enjoy quite time with the magnesium spa and the sauna, Vitamin C shower all in the one for such a great price! I love coming here thanks Ellen

  • Kath Angus

Quite a nice bath house and the price is definitely affordable. The hot drinks are great and it's not usually too crowded. There's only one bathroom and I don't find that very reassuring but it's an enjoyable place to be.

  • L K

Great facility, friendly and professional staff, big credit to their manager Ellen who is always helpful. We usually come in a big group and Ellen always accommodative and organised. Definitely will be coming back.

This spa needs to advertise better they are women only. It’s mentioned in FAQ’s about this, but should be clearly mentioned in the main section so people are not going there are turned back

A spa that only allow females, can visit. Great experience and I had a relaxing time for myself. Just a bit shy being naked because clothing here is optional. But I had a great time.

Absolutely amazing . The massage and body scrub was completely relaxing and my skin felt amazing afterwards. Loves the spa and magnesium pool. Can't wait to visit again

Needs signage in the bathing area that says no phones allowed. Too many inconsiderate women with camera phones inside when it’s meant to be a safe comfortable space.

  • Elizabeth Collyer

Organised a massage and a spa visit and was told two days before hand that due to technical difficulties I could no longer be seen on our booking day. Disappointed.
