I’ve been at this location as it has transitioned into new ownership and seen many employees come and go over the last 5/6 years. Extra Space has the right person in the managerial position at this location in Teresa. She is a straight shooter that respectful, kind, communicative and fair. A manager like her sets a tone for a location. She is mature and knows what she wants out of her store from her employees and customers. She really is a breath of fresh air to deal with. She has also gotten the place in much better order. But ultimately that is the responsibility of the tenants to have common courtesy toward their environment and other human beings and not managements job to babysit. There was a rent increase of late which was ill timed for me. And not sure if your aware of this but if your light goes out in or around your unit it doesn’t get replaced. It’s just gone. That has made it harder for me to do what I need to do for sure. But all in all if you’re looking for a central location to store your items this is a desirable choice and Teresa really makes the difference with her management style. She earns your respect and cooperation because she allows and conveys it for you. I can’t overstate how important that is. They also offer good move in deals.

The reviews on here must be paid for, because they are not consistent with reality. The manager is rude, the carts are busted, and there are houseless people living in units here. I made my reservation online. When I arrived to check in, the manager was very rude and said the reservation was canceled because I did not confirm over the phone. I never received a phone call, or any other communication other than my original confirmation email. The new price (of course) was higher than what I booked online. After I argued, the manager honored the original price that I booked. The units here are spacious - big enough to live in. There are at least three people living here full time, they arrive between five and ten minutes before the facility closes. It’s very sad that they have to resort to living in a storage facility, but the manager doesn’t seem to care to find an alternative living situation for them.

Ramon the manager is exceptional!!! Customer service is always top priority not only with him but the entire staff!! I was only supposed to be there 1 month but ended up staying 1 year & they always made me feel like family .Sometimes we fall on hard times and need a little assistance, Extra Space storage is a awesome place to turn when in this situation. So If you’re looking for storage in the Miami area, go to this location 490 NW 36th st and ask for Ramon!!! You won’t be disappointed

They raised my cost 30% the first month and 90% the 4th month. One of the people said that the median price was 80$ below the what they were asking me to pay and that they try to ask other users of smaller units to pay triple. I wouldn’t trust these people with my stuff. They basically hold it for ransom. They believe they live in Venezuela with rampant inflation. If anyone suffers from the same, comment here. I will gladly create a competitor at half price

I never had such a smooth and comfortable experience with storage in my life. And I needed storage a couple of times in my life. Not only is this storage facility accommodating they have such friendly, down to earth and compassionate staff. It’s not just about getting your money and making a sale. Very welcoming and helpful. Mr.Roma show excellent customer service. He went beyond and above duties to see I was taken care of , in my time of moving . He call me when I needed to know about my mover was doing and making sure thing went well . Transition moving into my storage. I rate him a high standard 10. Amazing! So friendly So clean So calm Was at Public Storage next door for years. Place is chaotic and unkept. Decided on a larger unit so I started to shop around the area. ESS was a breath of fresh air Theresa was extremely helpful Super clean and great vibe. Hours and access are great too Will be here a long time. Thanks!!

I rented a storage space in Extra Space Storage Midtown. This was my first time renting a storage space. From buttom to the top, everything is a 5 star service. Ramon, who is in charge in the facility, helped me to understand all the process. He is so kind and helpful. Facility and storage spaces are very clean and quiet.

Ramon, the assistant store manager, is extremely helpful and made my move in as easy and pleasant as possible. The facility is very clean, my belongings are safe and kept in a well maintained unit. I highly recommend Extra Space Storage over any of the nearby storage facilities. Great rates for units of all sizes.
