GREAT UPDATE FROM PREVIOUS REVIEW: April 2022 Customer service is great! All is well. My husband and I were approached my Eddy and Vanessa as soon as they found out we were in the facility. This was about a week or two after we moved into the unit. It was a nice surprise. They made amends to personally reached out to us, humble themselves and apologize. The issue could've been prevented when they were contacted on the same night, we had problem getting inside the unit. It may have been a call center issue on their end. But we appreciated them reaching out and we were offered a discount to one of our monthly fees. "I did have an easy experience setting up my reservations via online and thru phone call. The set up was explained thoroughly, the location, size, fees and gate code however, on the day of the move, since my husband and I picked up the climate-controlled unit, there is a door to get into the actual unit itself and the door code wasn't instructed to us properly. We moved from Waco, it was a 4hour drive, we did finish unloading in our apartment around 6pm and as soon as we arrived in the Extra Space Storage facility, it was already 7pm. We had rented a moving truck and movers all the way from Waco. Since we can't access the door to get into our unit, we called the customer service for instructions on what we need to do, we were told to wait for a call back 15min or so. 15minutes passed, no phone call. We called customer service again, we're told to wait for a call back again, nothing! At this point, it was already 745pm and the movers have to get back to Waco. My husband and I are so stressed and frustrated already, we don't know what to do or what our options are! We called the moving company for recommendations, worst comes to worst, the movers will take our stuff back to Waco, unload, and load again whenever they have availability which we don't know when! Or we will book a hotel for the movers, 3 of them, then unload the next day. Either way, it will cost us a lot of money! We had several attempts how to unlock the door going to our storage unit. We saw a couple of other renters in the same storage building in an outdoor access asking if they know the door code to get in. I kept putting in codes one after the other to no avail. It was almost 9pm, at this point, I'm supposed to get a call back from Customer Service, still nothing! I attempted few more door codes and finally, we opened the door! The movers hurriedly unloaded all our stuff. They charge us per hour and that was more than 2 hours wasted!!! Even after a day or two, we didn't get a call back from Customer Service and that was really very disappointing!!!"

The reason I've given this a 2 star rating is due to the fact that my locker was broken into and most of stuff was stolen. When I got the call, I was told that most the valuable stuff that was taken wasn't covered under the insurance policy. I've waited over a month and still have received a payment from the insurance company and also then was told I had pay my storage fee for the next month when I was told they would give me a discount due to the break-in. Not only is it not climate controlled but the lack of security in the buildings is kind of alarming. I would say anyone could go in through the gates if you aren't paying attention. I had a guy waiting outside, when I left last time only to almost hit my car when I tried to block him from entering as I left. He screamed obscenities at me and as I drove off, he went straight through the gate that hadn't closed yet. Anyone can go in there at anytime. I'm moving my stuff, what little I have left there, this week. Hopefully with some sort of acknowledgement from the owners or at least "I'm sorry for your trouble" would be better than nothing.

Came here to rent because it's closer to my home. Price was unbelievable and the location was convenient. Staff was really friendly and fast. There is an on site manager for added security and a gate that worked to keep out those people whi didn't belong. Manager gave us a tour of the property specifically our unit and explained the basic upkeep and care they do as well as why we should rent with them. Even said we were welcome to bring our own lock which many places fail to tell you and then try to force you to buy there lock. I will update in the future if there is any change but at the moment this looks like exactly what I need for storage. If your getting price gouged give this place a try.

Melissa, the Manager, accommodated my schedule and went up and beyond what most would do. I travel for work so I’ve dealt with a lot of storage companies in different states and cities and I have to say this is by far the best place and best customer service I’ve received and that’s all thanks to Melissa! The units are reasonably priced, conveniently located, easy to access, and offer climate control. Thank you, Melissa, for all of your assistance in making this transition quick, smooth, and stress free. I wouldn’t have been able to successfully move on short notice without you! I definitely recommend using this location of Extra Space Storage for your storing needs.

My family and I couldn’t be happier with the service we received at Extra Space Storage! Tina Lopez was willing to stay late to accommodate our needs. We had a reservation with Public Storage for 530pm and because of my work as a nurse we couldn’t get to our appointment until 536pm and Public Storage turned us away with a full moving truck in the parking lot! We were able to call Extra Space Storage and Tina was willing to bring us in, and gave us the best customer service we’ve ever experienced! She is a true asset to this company! Tina thank you for all you did for us! We’re unbelievably grateful!

100% customer service is what I received on the phone as well as on site with Melissa Vasquez! Melissa was very helpful in answering all of my questions, helping me with all my decisions on what size unit I needed and explained everything to me I needed to know about what Extra Space Storage overs me and assured me that if there's ever any problems concerning my unit or any other issues, She or any other staff member on duty would be more then happy to assist me in solving all my issues!!! Excellent experience for me and I have Melissa Vasquez to thank, good job Melissa!!!

So this will be the place where you will get a rental increase with the only notification via mail so Eddie claims But you will get a bill due via text messages, email,and for sure several phone calls. And the kicker is I have only had the space for 4 months. He said because of the location. Avoid this place.. So a couple hours ago eddy said he didn't know if the company could email me the notice.about rental increase, yet I have just received the notice via email. So via mail 30 notice is a way to hold people property hostage. Avoid the company.

This location is close to my home but that's not the reason I decided to go with it, I would travel miles for good customer service! First I contact them by phone and I can't remember the guys name I spoke with but he was really nice, so I decided to go into the office. When I got there a lady name Melissa helped me out and OMG did she help me! The unit I went to rent was unavailable but she would not stop trying to help, she made sure I had something that would work for my needs and that I was happy with it. GREAT PLACE!

Wish I could give this place a negative five stars... Definitely not safe to store anything especially anything of value... doesn't have any cameras on the back half of the property, thieves just come through the back fence and break into storages at will, no onsite security apparently after certain hours, so it's just a free for all thieves, might as well just leave your stuff out on the ground rather than have to pay for a new lock ... you'd be safer having a kitten guard your valuable....Do not pick this facility

I was a little skeptical about storage units but that changed when I walked in to this location with the help of Melissa and Felix, they informed me about everything I needed to know since it is my first time renting one. The unit is in good shape, they have good maintenance skills, the good location is actually safe and if you don't trust the area they offer insurance plans but if you're a home owner you can bring your own. And you can get assistance almost 24/7 even if the office is closed.

The ease of renting through the online portal was very easy. And working with the front desk was a breeze. They answered all of my question, discussed all possible options, and didn’t push for upgrades. Overall… Great experience !! The only negative I will say is be aware if you book online at the discounted rate they don’t tell you that it does not include the one month free rent. You must book that in person through their rate in the office, I feel that’s slightly misleading.

I loved it! The proces was easy and fast! They actually showed me the storages and gave me options to what i needed! I used the Uhaul storage before 2 years ago and that was so complicated they dodmt give me options they just told.le the soze of a storage garage and told.me if that was fine but didn't actually show me how big it was. And they had to go thru a whole lot of an application here i even have my storage aet up for automatic payments and its the perfect size

Took my Sister to remove her items and close out her storage unit. The staff has been great the entire time she's been using them. The rate was very reasonable, which is why she selected them. The day we went to clear out the unit, she actually forgot where her unit was, but Mr. Rudy guided her in the right direction. The checkout process was very simple. Would definitely use them in the future and also recommend them to anyone who has storage needs.

I came here looking for a storage unit after my brother passed away and I had no idea what I was doing. I came an hour until closing and it was quite busy on a hot summer day. Brenda attended to us with courtesy and treated me and my family as if we were staying at a 5 star resort. I want to Thank her for her kindness and showing professionalism especially to my 8 year old son who loved the little golf cart ride. Thank you again!

First time renting a storage unit. Didn’t know size to go with and needed help. Thank God for Melissa, she took the time to figure out what my needs were and got me the perfect sized unit! Her attitude and willingness to help were truly above and beyond and have made me a happy customer. She made the whole process a breeze and took the stress right out of the situation! 10/10 will recommend this location to my friends.

Tina Lopez Is sooo fabulous. I came in for extra storage and she was so very knowledgeable getting me THE BEST unit and PRICE possible for my needs. The units are so very appealing, clean and bug free. Love the extensive work going on to repair the pot holes. More than all else she is so very friendly too especially when i didnt really know what to ask for. Kudos to your customer service, Tina's a keeper.

Went in with online quote but they decided to charge me more/ month was about to walk out she convinced me district manager would override onlone quote but started to get bad vibes. She seemed nice so l agreed and she wrote down gate code. Couple days later binging in stuff and gate entry code does not work. I called anf someone answered then immediately hung up. Not even Hello...ohh the aggravation.

Tina and Ali both helped me out with securing my storage unit. Ali took me around to the until and was so polite and gave me a bunch of good info about the facility and my unit. Time was super helpful and gave me extra information about how the facility operates and some advantages with renting from them. Thank you so much! I am really saving a lot of money at this facility compared to my previous!

My name is Rosa, and I relocated from Mercedes Tx to Houston with my Son. Melissa at Extra Space made it so easy to rent the unit and since I'm on a fixed income, the price was good. Im so happy to see how clean everything is...I'm elderly and had movers move my things. Melissa was there with my Son on the day of the move to help with guidance and support. I got my unit online and did auto pay and was told up front when you move out early you will be refunded the days you didn't use. In my case this didn't happen. I was told by this store and by someone at the main number , no refund because you have auto pay. So I lose money for the 17 days I didn't use it. Will never use them again!

Tina was extremely helpful and nice from the moment I opened the door. I definitely will be referring everyone that I know. I was having a stressful day but her positive attitude made my day. And she offered me the best deal without paying an arm and leg. I would rate 10 stars if it was an option. Thank you Tina!!!!

The online setup was great and so was the move in. The only thing is I went to move in after office was closed and I didn't have the code to get in the door. But it was an easy fix it called the 1899 customer service number and she gave me the code. The place is nice and clean.

I’ve been using Extra Space Storage beechnut location for years and they have always been so kind,friendly,and efficient at providing me with the best customer service. They’re very knowledgeable when it comes to knowing the exact storage size that will fit your belongings.
