Friendly and helpful staff at the location and clean facility. Unfortunately company lease requirements are inflexible, slanted against customer, and designed to take your money vice provide an equitable service (Watch paragraph 27). Staff couldn’t resolve locally, even after I made two trips to the location to resolve, and corporate made ultimatum; sign as is or leave. I ended up having re-register, pay a higher rate, and agree to their “business” terms since mover delivery was already scheduled and in route. I would have walked out if I could’ve changed the delivery. I will not use this company again. Recommend other options elsewhere… **thanks for the offer to discuss. Unfortunately, the number provided sent me in a loop a few times back to the facility manager; who already said they cannot change the situation. Please provide a better option to resolve.

Lets really be real real real here... I mean if you use their carts in the elevator and then you try to go through the doors upstairs all the doorways are different sizes it makes no sense! Half of my stuff fell off the cart. I broke a TV and I cannot believe that they wouldn't just have some standard size door. The first door should be the one that is the smallest so you don't make anything bigger than that because when you get up in the hallways all the sudden they're smaller somebody should have thought that through better. Also the floor isn't even when you first walk in Gate entrance "C" and that means that you can't barely get the card above the gapped sidewalk. If you've got heavy weight on it no way a single person could push it in.

My experience with this location was so pleasant. This is my second time renting a storage unit at this location. Bob was so pleasant and very helpful. I originally rented a 5 x 8 unit, soon after moving my items into the unit i realizing that my unit was not going to be big enough. With just 20 minutes before their closing time I reached out to Bob and he was so accommodating into moving me into a 5 x 10 unit last minute. They were so nice and they even waved my transfer fee. Sindy his wife was so sweet too. The storage premises is very clean and well taken care off. I will definitely rent another storage unit from this location again. This facility is pretty centrally located and easy to drive in and out of. There are lanes to pull in within the building that make hauling things to and from your car easy, even if your unit is not right along the outside. Huge elevators and plenty of pushcarts. In the time I had my items there I never noted any rodents or droppings which is something I encountered at other facilities. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Despite being down a sketchy street with many transients lingering around, the facility itself is gated and requires passcodes to enter the lot, enter the elevators and to exit, as well. I felt this made the area more secure.

I stayed with extra space mission bay location for about 6 months and had a good experience overall . I went there few times and had no issues. At the very last day when I came to pick up my items, a young guy at the office said that the gate is broken and I will need to come back next day during the office hours. I said that I DROVE from OC for 3 HOURS and it will take me another 6 hours to drive back and forth in order to come back next day . He just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. A lady in the office overheard our conversation and helped me to get in , thank you ! Never seen such a careless customer service as this young guy.

I have been storing my belongings here for over 6 yrs. and the manager Bob and his wife Cindy have consistently been incredibly friendly and helpful. The ability to have access to your unit from 6am up until 10pm is super convenient! I’ve seen negative reviews regarding price increases, and I too have been subjected to a monthly rate increase and although not happy about it, I understand that it is reflective of supply & demand and the cost we pay for living here in San Diego— look how monthly rental rates in the housing market have skyrocketed in the past several years.

Bob is always doing his best helping me - and others - to have what we need to make our storage experience most convenient. Whether it’s making sure we find our unit, guiding us through the facility, showing us the most accessible routes through the elevators, and making sure we have carts at our disposal - he’s always taking initiate to ensure our experience at this facility accommodating, friendly, and safe. I appreciate his drive to help others - it’s a rare and admirable quality!

This place painted the outside and then raised their rates SIGNIFICANTLY. my rate has TRIPLED (3x) in 2 years. It’s infested with termites. The halls are covered in them, the units themselves too. sketchy people definitely living there, I never feel safe whenever I need to go. I make it as quick as possible. It’s trashed, theres better options out there. See my photos. I wish I had done more research. There’s no way this is a top rated facility. These have to be fake reviews.

This place offers amazing service! Sindy, Bob, and Tierra were extremely helpful in getting me set up with the unit. Was able to see the unit beforehand and got to choose which one I preferred. When my lock wouldn’t work for me today, I went into the office and they helped me with a replacement and getting my combo set up properly. I really appreciate all their help! Thank you to all three, they’ve been wonderful! You won’t be disappointed in renting out with them:)

Had a great experience with Bob as he led me around to various units to look inside and get a feel for what was actually a right fit for my storage needs. He didn’t rush me at all in the decision making process which I greatly appreciate. The cleanliness of the units could be better (hence the 4 star), but otherwise he showed me the locks and I fiddled with the doors and the security appears robust. Attached photos are a 10x20 drive up access and a 10x10.

I give 5 stars to Bob and Cindy at the Point Loma Extra Space Storage as every encounter with them has been positive. They are both professionals in their field. They maintain excellent customer service while adhering to Extra Space corporate guidelines. They keep the Point Loma location clean and secure at all times - making sure it’s a safe place for its clients and their belongings. I highly recommend Extra Space Point Loma.

Initially, I only needed space for a few months but it turned into 1.5 years. The managers Bob and Cindy went out of their way to assist me when needed. I wasn't too thrilled with the rising rates without notice, which happened twice. Management worked with me when I needed it, and went the extra mile to provide great service. It's super clean and secure, and I highly recommend this facility if you can lock in a good rate.

Bob and Sindy were very helpful over the phone. The way Sindy explained everything was very clear, included a map to my unit aswell which was helpful. Just got my unit today, didn’t expect it to be wooden floors because the sample online was not similar but I’ll take it for now. I’m just concerned about bugs or insects in the future. I’ve never rented my own storage unit before, and was a bit stressed from all the research and comparisons when I called them. But every single person I spoke to, both on the phone and in person, was SO friendly, helpful, and compassionate! I am so grateful for their excellent customer service! This was the most seamless rental experience ever. Bob and Tierra were especially fantastic!

Upon arrival I was met by 3 staff members that all made me feel welcome and appreciative of my business. I was treated friendly and professionally. Changing my review to reflect the insane random markup in costs after the 4 month mark to reflect “market conditions.” My monthly fee went up 65%, ($100) and looking at the market this is not a normal price for my unit. It’s a classic bait and switch at a low cost and then charging you way more when they think you’re not paying attention anymore. Watch out!
