POOR EXPERIENCE!!!!!....I frequent other Firehouse subs so I expected the same quality I usually receive at other stores. I placed my order, firehouse salad with chicken no tomato no cucumber and a grilled cheese kids meal, not too overly complicated. The cashier fumbled the order so many times that another employee had to step in. That employee then stated that cucumbers don't come on our salads, however the menu states that it does. I then proceed to ask for the cashier if he would honor the military discount, he said yes, however it was never given.It took the average time for a busy day. I then got my food and decided to check my food before I left, only because I had lost all confidence at this point, guess what's on the salad...tomato....I then point this out, at which time an associate might have been some sort of manager makes a point to ensure that I want no tomato...yes no tomato...that's what the receipt said. I then for peace of mind check my sons kids meal which is supposed to have a rice crispy treat included...guess what's not in the bag...rice crispy treat...and what makes this better scenario, I had to tell them 2 times just to convince them it wasn't it wasn't in the bag.At this point I will no longer be a customer at any other Firehouse subs franchises, I don't want a free meal or coupons...I want my money back, I do not possess the patience to put up with this sort of display of unprofessionalism.

I gave this a dislike 2 star as a personal opinion. The food is edible i did not get sick from it, the service was slow but professional. they pumped out one sandwich every 7-10 mins. They were friendly but in the sandwich world that is too long! They also only serve PEPPER bacon, why would any self respecting company not offer a bacon without pepper and have some applewood on the side for those of us who do not eat pepper? The meats were cheap tasting as if they ran to fry's market and warmed the cheapest meats off the shelf. I originally was going to order a turkey bacon but was not able too because they only offered pepper bacon, i substituted for the hook and ladder. They ham tasted cheap. The prices are a tad too high for this quality. all in all I would not recommend this company for your next sandwich. There are several out there that are much better at or even below this price point. I will not disrespect this company to advertise others but I just would not recommend this one. I have been eating and reviewing places from Tuscon to flagstaff for the past 10 years. This particular firehouse sub, did not seem like each employee was trained well for their positions. one employee had to tell the other to take my order while i was standing there waiting to order.

Update 3/7/23: Dined in today and split a large turkey bacon ranch... its been a minute since ive been here... It looks like new faces/maybe new managent?. Well, the food was MUCH BETTER!!! I'm not sure what, but it was very delicious! I will have to start coming back again! Previous review: Not sure whats going on with this location. Ordered turkey bacon ranch med and small. We waited 25 minutes for our sanwiches and when we got them they were about room temp. Cheese looked cold. My daughter's small came out wheat bread. Waited another 5 minutes to have them redo her sandwich. When she got it, it was abnormally hot we found out when she bit into it and burned her mouth. I should have figured something was going on when i saw a different customer pick his sandwich up and steam was coming out of his meat like if it was a fog machine. Never thought hers would be steaming hot since ours was nearly cold. Other than that the food was good. They did put too much ranch so the sandwich was messy. But for me I love ranch so I didn't mind it. My daughter and wife weren't too excited about it.

I ordered my subs online which I’m learning is becoming a headache. My orders are always wrong or something is missing no matter what restaurant it is. First I would like for them to stop putting online orders by the door for anyone to grab. No one verified that it was my order I was taking.. meaning anyone could walk in , see the name and say yes this is me. Second I added cucumbers to my Italian sub and I had none. The sub was delicious and very delicate. The gluten-free bread was falling apart on me. I enjoyed the sub.. just disappointed I didn’t get the added side. It was three staff working and they didn’t look my way.. so I can’t say if they were friendly are not. They should engage more with walk in customers. My husband ordered a small spicy chicken sub and he didn’t have any complaints. He enjoyed it.

This is my first time to any Firehouse Sub location. The establishment was extremely clean and neat, but there layout left me a little confused as to where to order. The over all flow seems backwards to me as you have to wade through customers to order then wade through them again to get your drink after getting your food. The sandwiches were great no complaints. My one extreme gripe was the overall speed of the order preparation. They are extremely SLOW. There was one employee walking literally to each table asking if this was our order! They are clueless, they need to get there act together if they are going to last in this area. There are several other sandwich locations near here who are way cheaper.

The service is slow as Hell. Ive never had a Sub made in under 20 minutes and that has been with me and another person, TWO in the building waiting. I usually go at night on my way to work. The workers socialize too much and appear confused, that could be why the Subs are often not made correctly. The turn over rate appears high also. Now Ive frequent other Firehouse Subs and they are quick and proffessional. Unfortunately I hate writing this reveiw but this is the only way the service can improve. This Franchise has meaning and a reputation to uphold. This store is dropping the ball big time. l will return to Subway and other Sub stores in the area. Ive tried several times, I give up.

My husband ordered a steak and cheese for me with toppings I wanted that was different from the "specialty steak and cheese." Apparently you have to Specifically say, "I would like to customize my sandwich" or they will build the specialty and not put anything you requested on there. I asked for Monterey Jack cheese, cucumbers, banana peppers and BBQ sauce. As you can see in the photo there isn't any cucumbers, no BBQ and No cheese. I called to see if they can make this right. The manager said they cannot! What kind of manager wouldn't want to make a customer happy? This one! Stay away from this location.

If I could I'd really give it 2.5. I've been coming here ocassionally for years. Prior employees from many months ago not so nice. Thought was a bit friendlier atmosphere today. However, got a medium cheesesteak sandwich and almost could eat half of it with 3 bites. Not normal. Way smaller portion. Got cup of potato soup that just was not good. Got a cookie that appeared smaller than previous and not great. Overall I spent 16 and the value for that felt lacking and the portions and quality seemed to have gone downhill. I had Jimmy Johns earlier in day for lunch. It was fast, delicious and worth the money.

The Italian was good but mostly tasted like sweet ham and mayo, it was missing the italian spicy kick to it The firehouse hero was ok, nothing remarkable They only have white, wheat or gluten free bread Their sandwiches could also use more tomato slices in my opinion, why they put a ton of lettuce Their Mac and cheese noodles were mushy and we discarded them The subs were good and the staff was nice but given the choice, we'd choose other local sub shops over them

I am giving this Firehouse subs a five-star review and I have never eaten here. I accidentally ordered from this location thinking it was the one by my house. When we went to pick up the food we discovered that I had ordered from a location that was over an hour away in Laveen. I tried to cancel the order but of course the food was already made. Raquel at this location took mercy on me and refunded my money even though the mistake was my fault. I sincerely appreciate her grace and kindness and I am sure that she runs a wonderful place to eat with that kind of positive mentality!!!

Horrible experience. Arrived to pick up an online order to go and it wasn't reday. Opted to run an errand and return back. Which after an hour and a half the order would no longer invoice. GM kept stating it "wasn't his fault"...ended up having to run to the ATM!!!! When I returned back to get my food, he was rude and offered no discount or anything for the inconvenience. He couldn't comprehend why I was upset. After 2 hours of trying to get ready to go subs I cancelled my order and opted for Jersey Mike's!!!! Who gave me a free cookie!!!! Very, very disappointed!!!!

The customer service has really changed. I used to order at this location frequently and will no longer be giving my business to this location. I ordered a sandwich and paid extra for toppings only to get my sandwich with just meat and absolutely no sauces. I then called the store immediately to report the issue and was told I would get a call next day. Well, that call never came. I had to call back to follow up and was told i had to get a refund through postmates and was given a phone number to call. Horrible experience.

The staff were nice and the atmosphere whas what you would expect from firehouse subs and everything was clean. The problem was it took forever to get my food to go would understand if they were busy but that was not the case I was there @ 7 pm on Sunday. To boot wen I get back with my food they made one of the subs worng. never thought i would have to check firehouse it's not like I was at Subway. My local firehouse in Avondale I can always get in and out fast with everything right no matter how packed they are.

Ordered my sub online for pickup, should have been done at 8:25, it’s not 8:40 and it’s still not ready. When I walked in I was told there was 1 order in front of me and so far they’ve given 3 other groups their order…. They also just turned customers away even though they’re supposed to be open another 20 minutes… this isn’t the first time they’ve turned customers away way before closing time. Don’t come here after 8pm.

Went in last night There was a young employee female that was making sandwiches. I noticed that her mask was under her chin. I asked her " don't you need to have a mask on to prepare food " ? She didn't respond. Thats when I realized I forgot mine in car. So I immediately went and got it. Upon returning she had the mask on but only covering mouth. I ordered and sat down. I didn't want to chance it and told both employees I no longer wanted sandwiches an left. I am 63 yo and many health issues.

This was my first time going to firehouse subs, it was in Phoenix, 202 loop and baseline Rd. Friendly service, sandwich was pretty good, good for a quick bite. The only downside was the price, $12 for a small sub and drink. At least some of the proceeds go to first responders though. UPDATE: I was in Phoenix again today and decided to go back to firehouse subs, and I got the Italian sub today, and it was amazing! Twice as good as the pastrami one I got last time! Thanks firehouse subs!

What bummed me out today I asked for a Medium Coke and the trainer didn't understand me so I left without a drink. When ask I needed anything else. If they didn't understand they ask. I did add a tip and really regret it. I did a test with all the sub sandwich. Firehouse Sub was my number 1. Yep disappointed. Now I have to tell my friends to go to the other top 2 because it's touch and go if you get your full order.

First time at a Firehouse ever. Had good expectations but the customer service was horrible. Two employees and only one is handling customers. The other member is doing temperature checks and tea changes but does not step in to help what so ever. I have to wait until the customer before me gets their food before I can even order mine. I hope the food is good.. Went back in on 2 / 6 and the experience was much better. I altered my review from 1 * to 3.

Came here with my mom whose a picky eater. She demanded going to a Subway, I said let's check this place out. So glad I did!! We opted for the firehouse combo where we got a small sandwich and chili on the side. Both sandwiches ordered were delicious and the atmosphere was nice and calm. The service was friendly and fast. The only downside is they forgot the bacon on my sandwich, but everything else was great!

We go here all the time for lunch or dinner. The food is always good but the employees are so rude. They don’t smile, they don’t greet you, they don’t say please or thank you. Doesn’t matter who is working, the experience is always the same, just unfriendly employees all around. Take your money to a different Firehouse location.

I normally love Firehouse subs. Ordered some food through doordash since I was sick and not able to go pick up my order. The sandwiches were terrible. Items were missing off both of the sandwiches. Since I couldn't drive up there I had to go through doordash to get my refund. My daughter and I were so disappointed with the service.

To my surprise I found this location just passing by. How wonderful it is to have one of these in South Phoenix/Laveen. To me this place is the king of hot subs. So many wonderful selections to keep you coming back for more. I found the staff to be really friendly and the location was spotless. Always love donating to a worthy local charity so kudos to them for doing that.

Went in for the firs time.. the person who prepared my sandwich sang and dance the whole time while doing my sandwich nothing wrong with that? Only that I felt that every time he would sing my sandwich was getting extra sprinkles on it.. also He was using his cellphone and touching my food at the same time.. it make no difference using those gloves..

APSOLUTE love this place went to jersey Mike's yesterday and wasn't impressed

Me and my family ate here a couple of days ago and it gave us all food poisoning & had to rush to the hospital. We did not order the same sandwich so something there is contaminated!!!! Be careful especially if you are feeding this to your children.

Employees were nasty looking, playing around like kids, ignored customers. 2 employees eating at the table by the front of the order line, they were laughing and making a lot of noise. Folks, this was about 5:00pm on a Friday...Bad, really bad experience.. Would not recommend this soon to be just another roach motel..

Good note: employees were very nice and the service was very quick. Bad note: the serving size was so small. I usually go to the location in Buckeye and the servings are huge. When we got the food at baseline it was as small as a jimmy John's torpedo. Next time I'll just go there, they are cheaper for the same size.

I'm slowly coming around to Firehouse over subway. Their subs taste really good. Would recommend! Location clean, even the bathroom was nice.

Just placed a pick up order through the online app and received a phone call saying they couldn’t make the hot sandwiches and could only do them cold or offer a refund. The best part is we have to go in to receive the refund so now we have to go there anyways for no food just to get our money back.

I always love coming to this location but, I was very disappointed with my order. I did notice new workers that's no excuse I pay alot of money just for these subs I expect my money's worth. I got hardly any bbq sauce on my 2 large brisket subs and hardly any meat on my club sub.

Phenomenal sandwiches. They didn't have these where I came from but they had a different sandwich shop that is not here in Phoenix. Tried them on a lark. Awesome sandwiches. Be prepared to wait though. Always seems to be busy when I go in. Maybe call your order in ahead.

I'm not sure if it's a "do not answer the phone" type of day or what but the 6 times that I called no one ever answers. I mean at least tell me To hold and I will. Super upset that I'll have to drive to the AZ mills location since that one is the only one that answers.

I like the Italian sub, but I always replace the honey ham with extra salami. That honey ham is just way too sweet, and that simply overpowers the other flavors for me. Their pickels are really good too, you always get a pickle on the side when you order a sub . …

I love Firehouse, but this location is the worst. If you order a sandwich that isn’t with the standard toppings, it will always be wrong. I tried this place again today and of course, the order was wrong and the service is slow - even with only 3 customers there.

Absolutely horrible location, customer service and staff. Walked in at 8:20pm and was told "we are ONLY service COLD SUBS", with a lovely stank face. I get it, it's late... but you're open. This place needs an overhaul. Hire some people that want to be there.

Almost an hour from the time I ordered my food until I got it. Not the fault of the 2 employees who were working, they were moving. But a total failure of management. Only 2 employees on duty at dinner time on a weekend? Who wrote that schedule?

Do not order online!!! They will mess it up. I asked for no Mayo, add banana peppers, olives, and ranch. They didn’t add any of those and still put Mayo on it. Also they forgot my dessert that I paid for. Not very impressed with their service.

we frequently pick up sandwiches here for a church youth group--they always do a wonderful job accommodating us! They are reliable, efficient, and friendly. The kids actually pray for "the Firehouse guys" when we say grace for our food!

I came in for two sandwiches the people were nice but when I came home and checked I got the wrong sandwich and in the other one they did not put my add ons would highly recommend to double check your orders before you leave this place

Loved it honestly. Won't be my last visit. The counters are a bit high for the disabled though, and not much room to manuever around, especially during busy periods. Best to order online and pickup.

Love this place. Only down fall, I placed my order online and paid when I went to pick it up i still had to wait 30 minutes for them to make it. Defeats the purpose of ordering and paying online.

Its a little more pricey for a sandwhich but, its beyond worth it... from the quality to always having it ready when u order ahead.. the spicy cajun chicken sandwhich is all you need to know....

Haven't had a bad experience yet. They continue to impress, especially for a chain. Any sandwich they offer has been good. Go with the hot subs, although you can get them cold.

Typical firehouse. Fast service, good food. You must know how to order specialty subs to get to your order correct. I recommend double checking the order while it is being made
