SMALL CARS ONLY PROS: * It's relatively cheap. * Great location. * I really like that you can set your number plate online before, and then drive in and drive out without having to collect a card or stuff around with paying. This is really cool. CONS: * It was packed. * The car spaces are really small and the roads around the complex are really narrow. * Directions are bad. No signs for dead-ends, and at some point you hit "Reserved parking" and there is no way back. So you have to drive all the way down, out of the complex and then back in again. There should be a sign saying "Reserved parking only this way - don't go beyond this point". * Bad layout: At one point we went down a path looking for a spot, hit a dead end and then had to back-up + turn around within an inch of various obstacles. * Thwart with perils. Many of the car parking spaces have "do not reverse park in", because if you do, there is a hard to see, jutting out concrete that will blast through your back window if you're not careful. Luckily I had a spotter there that saw this for me. CONCLUSION: Great if you drive a Suzuki Alto or a motorbike. But if you drive a normal sized car, then there are less stressful & chaotic places to park in the city.

Reasonably priced and great city location; the online registration made it easy to drive in and out with a 20% discount. The call centre team member was very helpful when I was asking about best prices for my weekend stay in Melbourne. But the car parks are very small/tight and difficult to navigate in my 4WD. I also noticed quite a bit of glass where other cars had reversed into their car parks and hit the ledges. No body seemed to red the signs there - this is just poor design. There is not enough signage to indicate directions or which level you're on and I made a wrong turn on my first time, which made for some challenging multi-car reversing. I sore a couple others doing the same. Surrounding area stinks, with rubbish littering the area - but I suppose that is unfortunately to be expected.

We love parking here, have for years now. Great location. It used to be Wilson parking I believe so you could book in advance, now run by First Parking so not sure if you can but we never struggle to find a park. We usually just drive to one of the top levels where there is always a spot you can find easily. It's cheap on the weekends, only $7. For those reviews saying it's a tight squeeze, etc...I feel like most carparks in the CBD are anyway but I've been fine parking my wagon every time. Also for those saying they shattered their back window, there are clear signs to say not to reverse in backwards in the middle parking sections where the concrete does stick out. I have actually had to yell out to another car once who was about to hit so just follow the signage and rules and you'll be fine.

Great location, unfortunately the management seem to think it’s ok to have the place smell like a urinal, the place is disgusting and should be cleaned daily, the lifts were working, however if you can fight you way through the discussing smell of the lift you will get to your floor. Come on a Wilson Parking, you need to treat your customers with respect rather than just taking our money for the convenience, perhaps our city council should get involved as it clearly a health hazard, you need to fix this problem, just have a look at the previous reviews other than the ones you have put in, you will find a common thread, today was the last straw for me, my family couldn’t believe this is where I park, so I’m sorry until you fix it I will be parking elsewhere.

I park here regularly. It’s disgraceful. Bring close to the salvos you see many homeless around and you have to step over needles and human excrement and urine (which I have had to twice this week alone) Yesterday I saw a junkie shooting in in the stairwell. For those on level one and two you have to use the stairwell. I was afraid that I might get stabbed. It was nice when it was all painted in the stairwells but again it’s run down. I also noticed blood too. I’m glad they broke up the shanty town that people were using the storage facility as a home. You used to get homeless on bikes going through the car spots etc. SECURE PARKING IT IS NOT. ITS UNSAFE. ITS DIRTY. ITS A TOILET. And quite possibly the future site of a criminal act.

On Saturday morning I realised ID like to park in Melbourne CBD and was scrolling through parking stations that were available to do this. I was horrified by 98% of rates companies wanted especially for weekends when prices are normally lower. It took a while to find this company but I'm so glad I did. Their rates are absolutely fantastic so much cheaper than anywhere else full stop on top of that I had a few questions and their customer support phone number was open including the chat and both of those answered very quickly. All in all the process was very easy and I will definitely be using them again . No doubt I have found the place to park on the weekends in Melbourne CBD.

  • Bryce Haggett

First parking is genuinely the best carpark in the CBD - this one and the other one near southern cross station. It's always clean, the carparks are generous in size, finding parking is easy - the layout is great - sign up to their free membership, you get a generous discount and never have to take a ticket again (biggest bonus!!) The Thai restaurant at the bottom always seems to be poppin' off though.. I have never seen it empty)quiet... Might be worth checking that out too.

  • Na Na

I don’t think the guy standing at the gate knows what he’s doing, first time when I arrived at the gate, the machine said I need to get a ticket, which I have registered I don’t need a ticket. he said my number plate washed off, I meant seriously?! Clearly not! The second time I found the same issue all I did was just reverse the car a bit then the machine will detect that I have registered with them. Bit useless to listen to his advise and wasting the time in the morning!

  • T D

First time user of First Parking pre-booked/ paid Hotel guest. Had to drop partner at airport, couldn't leave car park without paying additional $21 However, when I rang the 1300 # I spoke to Karlie who was brilliant!! Professional, courteous, friendly and extremely helpful. She assisted me getting out and sent refund for the $21. An absolute asset to the First Parking team and I will definitely use them again next time I am staying in the city and need a parking spot.

  • Nhan Pham

Used the car park on 06/08. Had to park on Level 5. The lift wasn't working so after a long wait, we had to walk down. The stair case had clothes and blankets from homeless people and had a strong smell of urine. There was a fight broken out between homeless people on Level 1, which was quite loud disturbing. After our meal, we went back to car park. The lift was still not working, so it was another walk up to Level 5. Will not use this car park again. It is terrible!

  • Paul Kingston

Currently $7 flat rate after hours and weekends. The only issue with this car park is if you reverse you have to be careful not to take your back window out, there seems to be a lot of glass around. The stairs are now closed with lift only access to the levels of the car park. GREAT location for productions in Melbourne and the top of Collins Street and Bourke Street or a few tram stops away from the middle of Collins/Bourke.

  • Gary Bailey

Caution, protruding ledges will cause damage to your car. I wrote that review 3 weeks ago and management invited me to email them regarding the issues. I emailed them almost three weeks ago and have received no response. One star for their customer service. I will be referring the matter to Consumer Affairs Victoria in the first instance as many of the parking spots I believe, are not fit for purpose.

  • JT JT

OMG!! Do NOT park there! Might be a bit cheaper, BUT, you get what you pay for!!NOTHING! My car was damaged and NO note left, there was NO one around to help me, the place is filthy.. It's just NOT worth it! Next time, I'll try the little car park next door. Might be a tiny bit dearer, but at least the staff there seem friendly and helpful and my car will be safe there too!!

  • Sarah McSwiney

Took over an hour to exit in a queue due to theatre nearby finishing when we were leaving our dinner, and the two gates having issues with peoples tickets every 3 cars or so, resulting in people having to press the button for help and wait for minutes to get a response. In these situations they should just open the gate to clear the cars, security guard seemed unable to help either!

  • Maria Ngo

It was clean and bright and open when I was there. Quick efficient car license recognition system. Going to be my go-to parking place when I'm in the city in the evening as it's the most affordable city parking. Make sure you drive a small car to get into the very small parking spaces more easily though. Would be helpful to have front and rear cameras on your car to park here.

  • L

Currently has a $19 all day parking and $5 evening parking. Cheap if you are around the spring street, top end of collins (Paris) and Bourke street areas. This used to be the Wilson parking but was converted over to First parking. There are two entrances (either little collins OR from Bourke street). Gave it 4 stars as parts of the building just stink (from urine).

  • Gary Bailey

Caution, floor ledge protrudes into car space and will damage your vehicle. I parked here last week and suffered a similar fate with my rear windscreen being smashed. I did not notice the signs that advise caution and not to reverse as most of the row had reversed in. This is happening frequently. Signs not working. Cost $630. management need to do more.

  • Grant Burton

Long time customer of this facility but the recent change to First Parking has seen this place become a place you feel safe and welcome. We see management on the ground, security driving the levels regularly moving on the people you don’t want around your car and cleaners picking up rubbish (never been seen before) keep up the great work First Parking.

  • Don Tadixz

Frequently park at Wilsons car parks but Parkade is the pits. Many homeless people seem to like to dwell in the surrounding streets and also noted a guy with a doona sleeping on the premises. Staircases were steeped in urine and odorous. Public urinals are more hygienic! Doubt I'd book a spot here again. No parking attendents on the premises.

  • Mark Coleman

Signed up on their website and entered my car rego. Was great, on arrival I drove up to gate and the gate just opened, I did not have to enter any code. When leaving I drove to the gate and it just opened. No entering codes or swiping my card. All car parks should be this good, sadly First Parking don’t have many car parks around Melbourne.

  • Bron R.

We park at First Parking whenever we are staying overnight in the city, it is conveniently located in Little Collins St with access via Lt Collins St and also Bourke St. If you have an account with them, your licence plate is scanned as you enter and when you leave, the cost (excellent value) is charged to your account. So simple.

  • James Dean

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this car park . After reading a few reviews and people saying it's small, I was sceptical. I could easily drive around in my hilux which has large tyres and a lift. Booking before hand made it so much easier If you know how to drive a car, this car park is no issue!

  • A F

If I could have left a "minus" rating I would have. Parked here between 2pm and 3pm Friday 9/4/21 for approximately 30-40 MINUTES as I thought this was the carpark that had the arrangement with The Windsor Hotel. Moved my car after being told it wasn't. CHARGED $23. WHAT AN OUTRAGEOUS RIP-OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sam Bissett

Love this parking building. Register your car and card online before arriving, and just drive in and out with no tickets or pay stations. The $5 weekend flat rate is great value, and $17 during the week is also fairly competitive. The building is on the small side, so may not be suited to very large cars.

  • Al Sen

Early bird parking is $17 yet there is no maintenance to the building at all. The lifts don't work half the time and is in bad shape. The staircase smells really bad and have seen someone jacking off in there. Feels unsafe and poorly maintained. The location is the only thing good about this parking spot.

  • Sonny McCarron

Parked my car didn't get offered heroin or mugged but it's pretty dirty so I can see why others rate it low. Probably wouldn't use this place at night. Definitely needs some money spent on cleaners and security. Not a great spot if you have a huge car or have trouble parking in tight spots. …

  • Eva Armanious

Bad experience, searched all the way to the top level for parking and no luck (besides 1 small awkward spot). Left within 10 mins of entering due not finding parking and was still forced to pay $15 to exit. The carpark itself is really tight, and difficult to park comfortably especially for a 4WD.

  • Aryan

One of the worst car parks in the city. One of the most expensive car parks to begin with. Machines don't work half the time, the other half they don't take cards. Parking space is way too tight, you'll always struggle to fit no matter how small your car is. If you can avoid it, you should.

  • Serena Assetta

Yes the stairwell smelled of urine, but sadly I expect that in the city. Very tight carpark. I was happy to deal with it as it was about $5 cheaper than neighbouring carparks, but at 11pm on a Saturday night there was a half hour queue to get out - presumably busted boomgates. Poor form.

  • Mandie L.

Best prices for parking in the CBD. I parked here on a Saturday night from 8:30pm to 1am the next day for only $7. Plenty of parking spots available. More suited for small-medium sized cars as the parking spots are a bit tight. The carpark is well lit, so it feels safe at night.

  • Tim Kallista

At $22 a day rate it's a great place to go when other parking places charge you a fortune. Only thing was that driving a triton with a long turning circle was difficult in this place. It's got really tight little spaces, so having a smaller car in this place is a big help.

  • Katia Nizic

Good location, but was unaware of the issues before parking here. I had to call the cops to escort me to my car because three guys were taking drugs right next to it and I couldn't get to my car. Wilson said they don't run security at the car parks. What an absolute joke.

  • Nicole W

I was hesitant to use this car park after reading some of the reviews but they must have really cleaned up the place. Always a spare spot, clean elevators and friendly staff. It’s a bit of a blind spot riddled maze but definitely does the trick for early bird parking.

  • Paul Pavlinovich

Very tight carpark for a larger car. It was hard to find a spot we could get in and still open the doors. Reasonable evening rate. Convenient that you can use your credit card to enter and exit with a tap on the gate. It insist you take a receipt which wastes paper.

  • David Buckley

Very easy to get in and out of the car park with the number plate recognition. Some of the parking spaces and aisles are very narrow and not suitable for most mid-sized cars. Parking charges are quite reasonable and location is good for the surrounding restaurants.

  • Rohan Kulkarni

Best parking in the Melbourne cbd hands down. It is just so easy to park here. Drive up, the gates open using LPR. Same while leaving. No hassles of advance booking, scanning codes etc. It is so much better. Also 20% discount on registration is brilliant.

  • M K

Couldn’t possibly be worst. There are homeless people in every corner of every floor of this car park. Their pay machines don’t work. Should you need their help, you will repeatedly get very arrogant, exceptionally unhelpful and horribly rude people.

  • Philippa Kelly

Good location and flexible early bird parking terms. Carpark is poorly maintained, lifts never work and the staircase smells of urine and faeces. Massive queues to exit the car park on a Thursday and Friday night. Try an alternate provider.

  • Samuel Thomson

A little bit convoluted to navigate but other than that very good. Wilson do good rates if you pre book, and it is an excellent location of hotels and restaurants in the theatre & Parliament district of Melbourne, the “Paris end” of town.

  • Emily Koong

Decent city carpark, one of the more spacious ones. Lots of lower level parking is reserved so be careful. The floor numbering can get confusing so make sure you take note of your space number. Save money by booking your timeslot online.

  • stephen matthews

Overcharged, paid for my ticket at the ground floor terminal and then when I got to the boom gate the machine said I had outstanding fees! There were cars behind me at this stage so I had to pay a second time to get out of the car park.

  • Rahul Chauhan

Easily one of the WORST car parks in Melbourne. Poorly manned; lack of security; homeless people in stairwells (which is a wider issue for the City of Melbourne and is such an awful tragedy); entire carpark smells like a urinal. Avoid.

  • Sharon Lee

This is a terrible car park. Even though we had pre paid it took us 25 minutes to get out on a Thursday evening. I noticed long queues for people to pay. The elevator does not work. The stairs are dirty. The car park layout it poor.

  • Review You

Horrible place to park, small and tight, hard to navigate. No clear signage! Shattered windscreen all over. I'm very certain that there are lots of customer who parked there just could not be bothered to waste time to write review!

  • Dimitris Banis

Ridiculous pricey . Plus the whole place stinks like a toilet , full of homeless people. Too many junkies in the stairway . By far the worst parking in the CBD , very very unsafe . And by the far the filthiest parking in the CBD .

  • Colin Tan

A conveniently located carpark in the city east. The car spots are a bit narrow however, so larger cars may find it difficult to park in the spots. The cost is very competitive against some of the other parking locations nearby.

  • Yasmine Faulkner

I was so disgusted in this car park!! The stairs were covered in urine and junkies shooting up with heroen!! There were needles everywhere and my 3 year old little boy witnessed them doing it! I will never ever go there again!!

  • Andrea Powell

Worst service ever. You can't even get anyone on the phone on the weekend when the carparks are at their peak. I've tried to book a bay but the system is faulty & there is no one to help. Hopeless Wilson! Get it together!

  • RAMIAZ WHALED

Filthy car park and homeless people roaming free throughout the car park. Also some one urinated in the left and was left unclean for days. Disgusting place to leave your car and unsafe for people to park their car.

  • John Customer

Unbelievably good customer service and unbelievably cheap! I signed up to their membership (free) where there was a discount on their already low price. However there were some tech issues where I couldn't get in

  • Coul K

I was initially confused by website but received a prompt and helpful call from Daniel at First Parking that clarified everything. My actual parking experience went seamlessly, very convenient and good value.

  • Jordana T

Horrific! Went to walk down the stairwell to leave the complex and the ground was covered in bloodied clothes, tissues and used needles. No discounted parking is worth the price of health and safety.

  • Tom

Good cheap parking as of Nov 21. Only $3 evening rate. Did see a few rough sleepers and junkies hanging around still. Avoid parking by yourself in the evening if you feel uncomfortable around them.

  • Luke Carolan

I registered both our car registrations on the website, now we arrive and the gate goes up. We leave and our fee is debited automatically. Great prices, super easy parking. Highly recommended.

  • Sree

Cheapest parking in the city. Saw so many complaints about being unable to drive through due to small spaces and driveways, but it is not true. i was able to move my Camry without any issues

  • stan st

Great price, weekend rates are awesome! Convenient multilevel parking, 2 lifts are available. Clean and tidy space, next to Parliament, 10 minutes walking distance to Bourke street mall.

  • Kevin Miller

It's a car park. You park your car there and pay handsomely for the privilege. I'm not sure what it would need to do for me to say "I loved it" and give it 5*s. So I am giving it a 3!

  • Irena Miljko

I use this parking for work. I got the front of my car stuck on the bar once and had to get rescued. But at least I didn’t smash my back window like everyone else …

  • SWEET BEE

Great last minute booking and managed to secured overnight car parked, ONLY $9 can’t find anywhere In CBD for this price & easy accessible. Will definitely use this place again.

  • Narelle McEwan

Paid evening parking rate at the pay station, get to the exit within exit timeframe but demanded a further $19 to exit! No one answering the phone..Absolute disgrace …

  • Amr Badawy

Considerably cheap parking at the South East corner of the CBD. Car park can tend to feel unsafe however it is adequately lit up and never had any issues. Good value for money

  • gamingwithmax yo boy

Not happy with this car park at all!! Hard to park at times, homeless people sleeping there AND someone ran into my car whilst it was parked!! Would give no stars if I could!!

  • Christopher Lowe (Clhorwies)

So convenient in the eastern part of the CBD and relative closeness to the main theatres. And so cheap for members! Also where Soi38 Thai restaurant is found in the car park!

  • Ed Imrie

Crowded but serviceable. There's a few dodgy characters in the lane next to carpark. Early bird rates are good but you don't get the feeling that it's a well cared for space

  • Hung Tram

Great park, great location, carpark doesn’t inform you that they are at capacity so there are times when you spiral up 8 levels just to realise you have to head back down

  • Peter Kindler

Registered to park. drive in, drive out with discount. Spacious parking, easily accessed. Inexpensive. Excellent location with access to trams that cover a wide area.

  • Melissa Wong

Cheap parking but the carpark layout is weird. And very narrow. Also very hard to get parking. They should have indication of how many lots left before people enter.

  • Michelle Keating

Lovely price, but knowing where the 'first' free spaces are would be very handy.... also, the lift only going up to 5, but having floors 6, 7 8 etc bit of a pain.

  • Simonnnmnm B

Car Park itself is fine. However the number of times we have been stuck in the queue following a system failure and they wont let you out. Wilson Parking Suck!

  • Yoshiki Yamamoto

Close to everything, can enter from Bourke st/little Collins st. But this car park is so tight as in the structure of the building as well as a parking spot.

  • Ivan Y

Convenient, good value weekend and after office hours parking. Remember to register for membership, which makes the drive in and out process so much easier.

  • Ben Adamson

Allows cars in even though no spaces available resulting in 15-20 minutes to traverse all levels and exit, along with a stream of other vehicles. Ridiculous

  • Vu Dinh

Cheap with $10 all day weekday parking, wider than expected turning circles and comfortable parking bays. Signage to exit can be a bit hard to spot, though.

  • Jordan Smith

One of the best and cheapest in the CBD. Book ahead online and it's too easy. Stairwell can be pretty gross, but stick to the elevators and you're golden

  • Andy Buchan

Tight spaces, cars parked far too close to the ramps making it quite dangerous heading up and the booking system didn't allow for being slightly early.

  • Steven Pam

Convenient location and apparently plenty of spaces, however it always smells of piss near the lifts, and on a recent visit only one lift was working.

  • Moni V

This place is just a vertical labyrinth! It’s so difficult to find a free car spot and many of the lower level spots are reserved for corporations.

  • Shyla Cleary (Princess Sassy)

Convenient location but terrible park for SUVs hard to turn around or get out of parks without just going an inch at a time and looking like a spazz

  • Stuart

Absolutely pathetic customet service. I was stuck and their customer dupport person was unhelpful and kept on telling lies. Wont use it again ever

  • Ash Asp

Best parking for a weekend, can’t go wrong for $5. Need to be patient while finding a parking spot but very convenient for a city parking …

  • Ken Rees

Great automatic entry and exit systems. No queue, no ticket, just simple registration on web site. Shame you can't book to guarantee a spot.

  • Anthea Williams

Large, 4 floor parking structure. Reasonable flow, lift, easy credit card payment of tickets. Cheap prices currently in covid, $15 all day.

  • Peony

Our go to in the city. Can get super busy and it’s a generally super tight car park but nonetheless one of the best valued city car parks!

  • Eternal Sunshine

Good car park, with usually lots of parking after 4 pm and weekends. It has been relatively safe for myself (lady on her own) at night.

  • Jordan Mckenzie

Parking facility was fine but very expensive. I was told it would cost $40 for the 5hrs I was there but was actually charged $60

  • Laiyin S

So glad we discovered this carpark. Great option if you are looking to pay less and are willing to walk an extra few minutes.

  • Simon Mackenzie

Get in early excellent rate on the weekend. Just around the corner from the Princess theatre. Plenty of restaurants near by.

  • Gary Fraser

Great place to park in centre of city with close access to MCG. A bit of a tight fit with some vehicles when parking though

  • Wang Shuo

Cheap, but be careful with those yellow color bar which can hit your front bumper if your car is not as tell as SUV or UTE.

  • John Nguyen

Was excited when ownership changed, prices were low but are now increasing. Number plate recognition boom gates are nice

  • Lee Maaya

Entire back window of my brand new car shattered to pieces due to the poor architecture and layout of this car park.

  • Sushil Kshetri

Reasonable rates 24 flat rate 7 weekends flate rate You can save if you make a online account and enter with qr code

  • AJK

Very tight spaces but represents value and the number plate recognition and express membership discount is welcome.

  • Ben Bigtas

I've parked here a few times, which have been fine, but just drive carefully as it can get very narrow at times.

  • Julian

Try to book a overnight parking spot but they charge for 2 days if you’re not leave the carpark before 4am..

  • tamzyn b-Melbourne

Central place to park but sometimes hard to find a park and people don't obey silage for driving directions.

  • Darren R

Sure, it's just a carpark. But easy to get into, convenient for the top end of town, and great pricing.

  • Amanda Mckay

Lifts were slow but other than that price was great and location to theatre and restaurants was great.

  • John McKernan

I don't normally review carparks, but I'll make an exception for this carpark. This carpark rules.

  • Amy I

Reasonably priced city parking with a good location. Not secure, quite dirty, tight to navigate.
