My last review was some how removed so I am posting the same review because nothing has changed and I do not subscribe to any social media sites. What a mistake. I previously left a good review because the gym was well kept. After telling staff that a lot of members were not wiping down their machines after sweating all over them,I was told, " Can you wait, I'm on the phone. So I waited. Another staff member came out from the same office still chewing her lunch and asked if she could help me. I told her what was going on and was told, "We have nothing to do with that". Meanwhile the girl on the phone poked her head out of the office,(still on the phone)and said "I already told you I'm on the phone and I can help you after I'm done and then the staff member rolled her eyes at me. I was done and I was leaving at this point. The girl on the phone saw that I was leaving and quickly ended her call. She came out and said "now I can help you". By then it was too late and I wanted out of there. I told her I didn't appreciate her behaviour and her eye rolling and she denied rolling her eyes. By this time the gym had a bad smell and I wanted to quit so I turned in my membership card. THEN I was informed I would need to give a 30 day notice if I wanted to quit. I was NOT given any paperwork when I signed NOR was I told of a 30 day notice. I put a series of stop payments and made a formal complaint at the Better Business Bureau. You think they would show some class and reach out to me to resolve this but even their privacy officer is bouncing me from manager to manager at different locations. I have the emails to prove this. Beware of poor business practices and communicable disease condition at this location....UPDATE: Fit4less is not accepting any mail from the BBB. The complaint that was sent to them from the BBB was returned. However you can leave a review on the BBB website. PS. They are still trying to withdraw from my bank as well as an additional $25.00....In response to your reply, I don't subscribe to any social media.

I changed my bank account details for the bi-weekly subscription. Four days after this change, I received an email from them telling me that I missed a payment. I called them on the same day and the phone staff member told me that the system takes 5 days to update the payment information and that I will be refunded and all I needed was to email "Anna", the manager. I emailed Anna but she never replied my email. I found out today that the 25$ penalty as a result of the delay in their system was still withdrawn from my account. I called again today and Anna answered and asked me to resend her the email. I resent it and she said she won't refund me because I updated the information only one day before the due date for withdrawal and I should have updated it 5 days before the withdrawal date for the bi-weekly payment. When I answered her email saying I didn't know the system takes 5 days to update the information, she didn't repsond. When I called her asking if she will refund me the 25$, she said she won't. This place will be reported to the consumer protection bureau.

She refused to provide her name claiming she’s not aloud because she hasn’t verified my membership ID which I don’t have ( I have my black bracelet and another lady already verified me as a member All over a dispute over my membership status because I wanted to cancel and asked for my annual refund as I no longer have intentions to use fit4less I also haven’t used my membership services for atleast 6 months. extremely unprofessional with how they handle customers and resolutions. I strongly do not recommend I had issues when I first signed up with the black membership making sure I got everything included in my package and picking up my. Bracelet as I had to go to a different location then what was selected as my home location and there was no one working that location when I had gone to pick everything up And now with my cancellation issues it’s apparent customer satisfaction is not something they care about

I don’t mind this location. It’s small but it’s not usually super packed. My biggest complaint is, like others here, cleanliness. The last few times we’ve been here the paper towel dispensers have been empty and wipes have only been available at two spots in the gym. Other times, the paper towel is left on the garbage can - not even put in to the dispensers. It’s already bad enough that plenty of people are too lazy to clean the equipment after use but when you make it even more difficult by not having the supplies, it’s even worse. And I rarely see staff doing anything other than chatting it up behind the register - it’s not as if they are too busy to replenish supplies. This is the company that had the nerve to send me an email asking me to petition the government to allow gyms to reopen and yet, this location can’t get its act together to provide cleaning supplies to curb the spread of a highly contagious virus.

Kept my membership for the "just incase" days that I wanted to go but really did not use it. When I called Place D'Orleans to cancel my membership the front desk worker refused to cancel it for me and said I had to email even though there is no email listed on their website and their website directs you to call or visit the club, he kept insisting to just give me the email. After being a little frustrated with this I called the Walkley location and they cancelled it for me even without it being my main club took maybe 1 minute of their time. I had visited with Walkley a couple times after stopping at Place D'Orleans and I found my experience better with nicer staff, still lots of people but the location was cleaner even with the amount of people.

This is a "bring your own WD40" type of gym. Most of the machines have weirdly stiff bearings. Once a machine is broken (which is often) it's for a super long time, there's no water fountain for some reason so you have to use the sketchy sinks instead, super crowded from 2pm to midnight on week nights, they rise their prices every once in a while but it's ALWAYS super clean. There are a bunch of changing rooms and lockers which is nice, there's a small empty room for cardio exercises, plenty of dumbells and a tone of cardio machines. This type of gym is great when it's new but goes downhill later on. With a brand new planet fitness opening near this location at a similar price I don't see any reason to pick this fit4less over the new gym unless you've payed the sign up fee already.

Very disappointed with the service, first the service on the phone is incredibly slow to much holds and the guy asked me my name hundred times I paid full membership and the girl Who helped me when i first join told me i could cancel my membership anytime i wanted now I want to cancel they say my account will be canceled in a month but in the meantime I’ve to continue paying them every 2 weeks. Wrong information given and I don’t see the point of paying for a month and I actually can’t enjoy it. Worst experience ever

You literally get what you pay for. A piece of equipment has been out of service since when I signed up 3-4 months ago, don’t seem to be in a rush to fix main equipment, which is lacking already (ex. Cables). Bare minimum equipment. 24/7 but no showers or fountain. Gets really busy where you need to wait for equipment. You can only scan in every 30mins, so if you forget something at home/car, you need to rely on staff to buzz you in. I’ve had to call to be let in although the staff were present.

I use this gym four to five times a week. A new manager (Anna) took over few weeks ago. Since then I noticed a big improvement. The bathrooms are cleaner, floors are cleaner and equipment in general is more organized. Anna is often seen doing the work and not just directing. The other employees seem to be more engaged now too. Overall I like this gym and can’t beat the price. It is getting a little older so maybe some fresh paint in some areas would be nice and please install a water fountain!

I have spent many years going to gyms and recently joined Fit 4 Less. Being new to the brand i explored a few Ottawa locations and although they are good, this location is best. It’s clean, and the staff are great. In particular Angela, she has been extremely helpful with answering my questions. It was an easy transition into a new environment, she is friendly and always smiling! Love that! She is most definitely the best brand ambassador i have met at the 3 locations i have visited thus far.

Not happy !!!! I can go on and trash the location but sometimes the staff makes me think of changing gyms ! I opted to continue working out home even tho the separation of work and personal life can be difficult, the staff needs a bit of more customer relations … customers are treated like children , fit4less news flash !!!!… you need customers /gym users as much as gym /users need to work out … but there always options to go some where else

I was a long time Movati member but got tired of paying a crazy price to workout in a gym that's always packed. I joined Fit4Less in January and have been there 6 days a week - even in the late afternoons, it's not crazy busy which is awesome! Only downsides are no showers, water fountains or wifi.. but all in all it's a great spot to get a workout in! If you're looking for a spot to put your head down and get the work done, this is it!

member here for several years and it's fine, my only issue with these gyms is cellphone use. Everyone is staring at their phones constantly. Last week I got treated to listening to the guy on the eliptical beside me in a full on phone conversation with his buddy over his bluetooth earbuds. a half hour of listening to him yak while pretending to work out. Leave your phones at home or in your car, and come to the gym to work out!

Affordable and clean. Committed staff that are willing to help and assist. They have tanning beds, hydro massage tables and massage chairs for black card members. No showers. Single change rooms for anyone. They are not staffed at certain times of the day, meaning that black card members can't use the added features ie. Massage chairs. This can be frustrating when some people are only able to go at times it's not staffed.

Gym equipment, size and location are great! My only concern is the cleanliness. Need stricter rules on cleaning machines after use. Many staff not noticing people not wiping down equipment after use. Putting weights away, not cleaning equipment. I always wipe down my machines before, just in case. But in my personal opinion, we shouldn’t have to worry about this kind of thing during a pandemic.

Great location, great price. It's right off the highway so it's very accessible. The equipment is fairly new. Good selection of free weights, cable machines and equipment. Only real complaint is there are no free standing squat racks, they're all Smyth machines and there are no showers. Staff are really friendly and the gym is usually very clean. For the price, it's a great gym.

I went to this location for the first time today and I hate it! 1) The gym is small and don't have a lot of equipments compared to others, 2) I saw many people not reracking or cleaning when they were done, 3) All the paper towel dispensers were empty and wipes were only at 2 spots in the gym, 4) they only have smith machines. I would recommend going to another location.

Fit for Less Management, the gym is seriously lacking sufficient bar clamps/clips/locking collars. I have asked the counter staff on multiple occasions to re-stock these safety items but nothing has happened to date. I suggest you review the safety protocols of all your gyms before you get served with a negligence lawsuit under the Ontario Occupiers Liability Act.

Banger gym. Been going since summer of 2022 and it is by far the best one I have frequented. Went to many others and none compared to the value here at fit4less. Only thing at this one specifically is that there is no water fountain on premises so don't forget your water bottle. Bottles can be refilled from the bathroom tap

The equipment is not bad. The issue is the staff and some of the other members. Petty, childish and rude. Staff is like mean girls in real life. Gossiping, mean mugging and just passive aggressive. People can't even mind their business, watching other members workout. It's sad that grown adults choose to act like this.

I think this gym is really great and all the machines are easy to use with clear directions on them that show you how to use them if you don't know, which I find very helpful. I can't give it 5 stars though because it's often overcrowded. One fit4less serves much too large of an area. More locations would be nice.

It is usually pretty reliable, however, I had an issue with my card this morning where I couldn’t get through the gate. I arrived at 6:10 a.m. and there was no attendant to assist. So, Unfortunately I could not get my workout in. Unless there have been changes, they should still be checking for vaccine passports.

I have 2 complaints, 1) some machines have been out of service for more than a month now. 2) there is no water fountains, your only source of water is the washroom sinks which always Luke warm even if you let the water run for a while before filling up, I guess they want to force members to buy water from them.

I only use the cardio section and generally during non peak times, it’s usually quiet. The times I’ve been during peak times there are still usually available machines provided not too many are out of service which can happen but they have been good about fixing them quickly for the past few months!

It's been a year plus of Covid and I still can't cancel my membership. They make it difficult to reach anyone via email or phone and you must visit in person to cancel which makes it almost impossible during Covid times. I was a happy customer until this horrible customer experience.

Customer service is lacking… the desk is often unattended- when you go find them to use the massage chair or hydro bed they seemed annoyed- the gym itself is fine - not too crowded in the mid mornings- just adding the staff( some)seems so uninspiring and lack zest of anything

U get what you pay for I suppose. Clean facility and 24/7, the gym gets really busy during the week but never to the point where you have to wait for equipment. Perfect cheap gym if you go to actually workout and not fool around and socialize. Wish dumbbells went past 75lbs

1 stars because it is a decent Gym for the price. However, as a new member i did a typo in my direct deposit information and was charged a 25$ fee, even after resolving the issue. The Club Manager at this location was not helpful and rude when discussing the issue.

Not the place to be during Covid! People walking around without masks, empty hand sanitizer bottles, and several people failing to wipe down machines, while the 2 employees on shift leaned on the front counter and chatted instead of even trying to enforce anything.

You get what you pay for. It’s 24 hour access, but it isn’t staffed 24/7. Machines are in descent shape as they’re seemingly old - not state of the art and new. I’ve never had an issue, nor received any snobby attitude like I had done at other gyms.

It's got everything I need. Clean, open 24 hours and the members are there to work out not socialize which I appreciate!. Definitely a judgment free zone. A lot of the machines seem to be out of order alot which can br annoying tho..

It's a good gym for what you pay for it. Strangely there is no water fountain, and the free weight section is often fairly crowded. I'd give you five stars if you installed at least one fountain to fill your water bottle ! …

The gym is not very clean. Since they changed management, the gym is dirty, a lot of equipment are broken or damaged for a long time. I used to like that gym, it's close to home. I may have to go somewhere else.

The gym is open when you’re ready to work out, 24/7. Massage chairs and beds are available during the day when the gym is staffed. Location is easy to access and there is plenty of parking.

Wish there was away you go on the hydro massage without a staff member turning it on. No staff no massage. The gym itself is decent, clean . Bring your own water. 24 hours opening is great.
