So I quit this place because of their dishonest behavior, and their lies to customers lies to us as employees and their continuous disrespect for the general community. They actually sold animals that people donated to the store for display purposes, peoples, beloved pets were sold by this place for money, and then, when the people asked for it, they made up excuses they wanted us to align with this behavior we refused. I had decided to just forget about this awful place, and how awful they treated everyone after my son, and I build the whole entire Reptile section by ourselves, But recently, something came to light where my crickets and worms were accidentally delivered to the store. They instead of my home, and these awful people not only stole my crickets and worms, but use them and resold them. They wouldn’t even give me my package. This is how cold blooded azi is he’s an absolute fiend, a liar, and a manipulator stay as far away as you can and hopefully no one bought any captive bred bred animals from there cause they’re in a damn thing in that place captive bread. so if anybody brought one of your pets up to the store to be on display or for them to use for for educational purposes, I’d highly suggest you go check and see if it’s still there cause he probably sold it for his own benefit because he was even selling sick rescue animals. The last time my son was in there they were dead animals in the reptile section and you can smell it, and he told Kenny who apparently somehow with very little knowledge of Reptiles as a Reptile manager, and he did absolutely nothing about it, but let them sit there, and quite a few of the animals had no water. What a wonderful place the idea that we had what we all started it was of something fabulous and then they ruined it by greed.

This place is an absolute scam. Totally unprofessional. My husband just returned from this store with an $800 tank with the door hanging off of it. The staff apparently attempted to fix and when they did the absolute bare minimum they told him it was just because it was not in level ground. Well? It’s on level ground now and still at a 45 degree angle. Not only was this tank the display with a broken door, the staff had a complete disregard for the scratches all over the side. No discount, as originally discussed and promised by the manager since my husband is a 100% disabled military veteran. They continuously told us they would have a brand new tank right out of the box in stock “every Thursday,” but after the 5th time of going in without it being in stock my husband purchased the floor model with the expectation of a discount and repairs. He decided to not make a scene since our 7 year old was with him. Tons of dead fish constantly in the tanks. Never having what is promised to their customers in stock. Phone number on Google does not work. Website doesn’t pull up anything but the logo. Spend your money where you can be guaranteed quality and personable staff.

I stumbled on this store shortly after they opened and brought my beautiful bride and our boy Andrew last weekend. He loves reptiles and I have a saltwater aquarium. While we were there they had a free class on building a terrarium wall. Andrew and his friend sat in and really enjoyed the class. He purchased a second Cuban Anole and I bought my first anemone. The staff was very knowledgeable and engaging. They gave great advice and encouraged us to bring them any concerns or questions. The store itself is an amazing experience, with a large koi pond, beautiful artwork, a chic cafe and all the reptiles, amphibians, fresh and saltwater fish and corals you can imagine in one location. Prices are very competitive and the entire experience is a whole new world compared to the crowded aisles at most of their competitors locations. We will be back, very likely this coming weekend and many more. Picture is of Rose, our anemone. The boy wanted to name her Eminem Anemone, but wifey chose Rose in memoriam of Betty White. She is settled in and Krusty the clownfish has found his new home. Thank you for the wonderful experience and new family member.

This place is great. They just opened, but if they keep on this path they will be the best LFS in the Jacksonville area. They have a cafe, a massive pond, as well as reptiles. They also have a guy painting in there. It turns a trip to the pet store into a family affair. The staff is great and they also have a great selection of fish both salt and freshwater. One nice thing I noticed were tanks that included fish in quarantine. This shows that they make sure the fish are healthy and free of disease before selling it to you and making it your problem. That alone will make this my go to fish shop, I bought three fish from them today and I plan to buy more. The only complaint I have is them not selling fluval stuff. All of my equipment is fluval and that's a bummer for me. But not a deal breaker, since I have the internet. Swing by and check them out, whether you have fish or not, you won't be disappointed. The fish pictured below are fish I found there, not including the tetras, or the snail.

Cool store. Huge pond indoors! Selections good. They carry supplies, fish, reptiles, etc. They have a Cafe and were nice on reptile side and cafe.. We drove 40 minutes to get 1 fish. The problem is there is not enough workers. We waited over 20 minutes for fish help after browsing over 40, then the guy did not have fish knowledge. The girl working with reptiles was VERY helpful on her side. Fish guy sucked, Mgr was on phone entire visit, no help at all. 1 guy for fish and 7 cistomers waiting to have fish bagged. But otherwise, good. Reptile girl was super friendly and knowledgeable, cafe guy super nice too! The other thing is it's another retail shop that asks for tips! Pet peeve, you're not service workers, you get paid by the hour. Hate that they have it on their POS. I know you can click no. Worker says but it goes to our sickly or something. Guilt, ugh, so annoying. Tips are for service workers not a charity and not for retailers. Hopefully staff will be available next time.

Can’t say enough about this place From the minute you step inside it is very evident this team takes pride in what they are doing. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I couldn’t help but feel like I was in an Aquatic gallery. This is not your average retail store. The Huge Ponds at the front door are the first thing ya see, but it just keeps getting better from there They have reptiles too! This is the go to for anyone who is thinking of or already into aquatics, tanks, reptiles There’s just so much to see While visiting I got the chance to have lunch at the Cafe and again I was blown away. I had a Chicken plate called The Egyptian Chicken Eggplant and a Strawberry Banana smoothie and guess what… Just as amazing as the ambiance!!! Hands down this team has taken fish tanks to a whole new level. This place is an amazing chill spot that has everything a fish or reptile enthusiast needs. I’ll Be Back!!!

This is definitely the best aquatics and reptiles store in Jacksonville. If you remember aqua zoom 20+ years ago this store is that plus more with higher quality. You won’t find this quality of tanks in any other pet store around Jacksonville. You might find it alittle pricey but it’s not a downside with how healthy the fish look and the amount of plants and fish they have. Earth works was the only other place I would buy koi and now this store is definitely on the list for places to buy koi at. I hope everyone will show this store the support it needs so it stays for years and years to come. The even have a fresh and saltwater rescue ponds. Only advice I would give the owner of the store is to have some kind of advertising cause I had no clue you existed until a week ago. I only wish I knew sooner. 5 stars because I haven’t seen another store in this area that can even compete with them.

What do you get when you pair good food with an adventure full of reptiles and sea animals? A culinary paradise for this girl! Had a great time checking this place out for sure. Stephen, chef/owner was so very helpful picking out just the right food for us for lunch yesterday. As we waited we wandered the store that this sweet cafe is nestled in and had fun with it all. Such a beautiful display with ponds, aquariums, bridges and tanks. There were all kinds of fish.. and I mean every kind lol. There were pythons and frogs and turtles and sting rays and eels and plants and sea anemone and well so much more! We had the salmon chef prepared and the Egyptian cinnamon honey chicken. They serve a complimentary sweet tea and a fruit infused water plus have smoothies and other drinks in the cooler. Kids of all ages will love this! Pricing on point too! Going back soon for sure.

I have been to floating sea Aquatics multiple times since they have opened. I understand that this is a small locally owned store. However The prices are extremely higher than let's say PetSmart or Amazon or anywhere else. The last few times that I've been there we've been ignored and if someone does come and help they don't seem too friendly. Now if you go when they're doing apparently their artwork segment you will be completely ignored. They do have a very huge selection of fish but it is hit or miss, if you purchase a fish from them it could be sick or it could thrive I've experienced both from this location more than once. I used to love coming to the store but unfortunately the prices are too high the staff isn't that friendly. So if you don't mind getting mediocre service and paying higher prices this is the store for you.

  • Bobby Lingold

I can’t begin to tell you how much I love this store! I keep a marine tank and go here for all of of my supplies to keep my fish healthy and for all my livestock. They are super knowledgeable and if there is something I don’t know or have questions about, Ken and Azi are always there to answer my questions. The best part about this store is that they are more than a for-profit business, they are about the conservation of all kinds of beautiful animals and put their money where their mouths are to make sure these animals are around for future generations to enjoy! That’s what it’s all about! I highly recommend Floating Sea Aquatics!

  • tay carter

This place is amazing!! Firstly, when you walk in this place it’ll take your breath away, it’s so beautiful!! The owners & staff are amazing and so knowledgeable on their animals. The staff also teaches customers and kids about their animals and will let you pet some of them. Fantastic fair prices, and literally has everything you could need for reptiles & aquariums. All of the animals are very well taken care of, with clean enclosures. You can tell the owner and staff take pride in their work and love what they do. Thank you for an amazing store. I can’t wait to visit again!

  • Ninja Panda

Great atmosphere with lots of sealife and reptiles! You can find fish, turtles, snakes, lizards, other things that look like lizards and snakes had a baby. Most impressively, they have a cute little restaurant with unique selection of foods from sandwiches to Egyptian chicken to pasta. The people are friendly and they make the food from order. We ordered crepe and layered chicken, both were uniquely flavored and delicious, but my one complaint is that they were too heavy on the salt. If they were to lower the salt content, I think I would give the food 5/5

  • Thomas Ranaldi

Found my favorite fish store to go to! Your selection is awesome and the quality is above the others. When things get worse but I can’t wait to get some more cool fish from them and maybe a few plants to try out in the pond. Also can’t wait to get a new saltwater fish as well, just need to figure out what I wanna go with. 10 out of 10 would recommend to stop in at least and check out the selection in person. The two giant indoor ponds are so nice to look at and the café is great if you got some time to kill

  • A H (SeoulZombie)

I attempted to buy fish from this store 3 times. 1 the with my 2 kids, which they seem to not like kids, and 2 times alone. the only time anyone spoke to me was to tell my son to stop running when he was excited and running in place, the excitement went right away. if you want to walk around an aquatic store and not be bothered and not buy anything, this is the store for you. Reply to your reply: Actions speak volumes. The only greeting I have ever received from anyone at this store was negative.

  • L D

Very neat place. Music was a little loud, but the food was good and staff were friendly. I had the Alfredo and vegetarian chili.. really good, but the chili was a little on the spicy side for me (I'm not a fan of spicy food lol). My husband had the Egyptian honey Chicken (could have the name wrong) which he really enjoyed. Unfortunately we didn't get to walk around on the retail side, but the rest of the place was really neat. Will definitely go again.. would recommend for any fish fans

  • Allison Lins

This is my new LFS and the only one I want to go to anymore. Their staff is great and they always have great answers for all my fish related questions. It's been difficult to fine a fresh water store that has a selection and they have SO MANY OPTIONS. I've been very happy with all the things. Plants all look great and transfer to my environment well. The fish have all been lovely and sturdy. I've taken family here from out of town just to show them the place.

  • mad

This place is amazing!!! Big place, salt, and freshwater fish!! All the fish and corals are super healthy and any that are not are quarantined, which was nice to see! If you need assistance in setting up an aquarium there is a ton of help and they are glad to help. There's a Cafe that will open soon. The salt and fresh water ponds in front of the store are amazing. Reptiles, Cichlids as well many more animals to see. You will love this place.

  • Lennard Watson

This place is pretty damn awesome. I’d come here to get coffee regularly if it was close to me just to take in the ambiance. If you’re a fish/aquatics enthusiasts you’ll appreciate the dedication of the staff in this place as soon as you come in the door. They have competitive prices and the most variety of supplies and fish in a local store that I know of in Jax. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable.

  • Hussain Almoamen

Amazing place, big and full of different creatures. My kids went once for a birthday celebration and they had fun experience with snacks and different little animals. I like how they have so many different types of fish and how they organise the store. They also have a coffee shop inside but the time I went there it wasn’t working otherwise it would be great to grab a drink among the nature.

  • Danielle Towner

They were so helpful and informative when I got my White's Tree Frog! He/she (still a baby) is my first frog and they were there for me when I had care questions even after purchasing. You can tell a lot of care goes into the upbringing of their animals, and they want the best for all of them. My baby frog came home healthy, happy, and a ferocious eater after the adjustment period.

  • Malachi Masur

The most impressive pet store I’ve ever visited that also has a cafe! All your freshwater, saltwater, reptile, and amphibian needs can be met here with an incredible stock of products suited for hobbyists at all levels. The staff were very friendly and provided helpful insight about the store and the products within. I’d highly recommend anyone who loves pet/fish stores to visit!!

  • D

Absolutely amazing experience and beautifully laid out. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely be coming here again. Great as an aquarium date, came here due to wanting to see an aquarium and Jacksonville doesn't have one so this is an amazing alternative. The employees clearly take good care of their fish/reptiles/ect.. animals looked in great condition.

  • Emilee Ojala (Emi)

The crew at floating sea aquatic were on point they helped make my son's 8th birthday magical Cheyenne was an amazing host she made each child that attended a specialty drink we loved the live reptile show a lot of our guests overcame their fear that night I highly recommend this place if you are planning an event on top of being fun it was educational as well thank you all

  • Ashley Faulk

This is a really cool, unique place for fish and reptiles. I love all of the hard scape options they have. I sat down and played around with different branches and cork for a while to find the combination I wanted. The staff is very knowledgeable and always willing/happy to help. I buy my crickets and other supplies here but sometimes I stop by just to look around!

  • Brian McClellan

It's a very cool store, it is like a mini zoo with mostly fish. They have a very wide selection of fish and aquatic supplies. Would suggest here for fish and supplies. It is also a good place to bring kids to walk around and check out all the fish. They also have a cafe, i didn't try the food, so I can't comment on it. I highly recommend checking it out.

  • John

Place is kind of cool and you can see interesting fish. However the tanks are extremely dirty and we saw many dead fish. Lots of turtles crammed into one tiny pool. They probably don't have the budget to maintain everything as well as it should be. I know that must be a lot of upkeep but I wish the animals were in better environments with more space.

  • Seth Bowers

Lots of aquarium items I normally would have to order and just about every kind of fish. I have not bought much but the prices are fair or average. This is a great place to get ideas or if you want the items today for an aquarium. Also a large selection of aquarium live plants and that alone is hard to find in the chain stores or non existent.

  • Nicole Olipas

Going to Floating Sea Aquatics is always a nice and fun experience especially since all the staff are warm and friendly. I don't like going to places where the employees are just there to get their paycheck and don't care about the customers at all. This is definitely not one of those places. I like that they have events and also a cafe!

  • Zachary Pullen

The place bends and twist to be the safest and most accessible space possible. It's so much more than an specialty pet store. It's an inclusive community space like nothing I've seen. It's like the community center in those movies from the 90's. Please support this beautiful place. Whether you're a hobbyist or not the place is special.

  • Melissa Davis

Absolutely amazing. It's unbelievably calming to walk around and see the gorgeous fish. As someone who studied marine biology in high school and suffer a from anxiety as an adult, it brings me comfort the minute I walk in. The staff is amazing. The neon fish are my favorite and who can forget the bearded dragons, soooo cute!

  • Karen Biggerstaff

I expected to be mildly interested--I mean, another fish and tank store, right? Boy, was I wrong. This is one of the most interesting places I have ever seen. Even though the Cafe is temporarily closed, we did not miss it. The staff is happy to be of service, and will explain even the weirdest creature's habits and habitats.

  • Patrick Scully

They don’t know how to catch a pleco without getting it stuck in a net, even though you suggest a different method they won’t listen, then try to get a fish to find out once you have it nearly bagged up it’s not for sale, not marked sold, employee keeps their fish with fish that are for sale, very annoying bad service

  • Butter Cup

So glad to have found this hidden gem. The staff here is knowledgeable and friendly, there is a large variety of fish and reptiles, and all the animals are well cared for. The attention to detail in this place, and the cafe are a huge plus! There are weekend classes for kids, and date night/adult events too!

  • Debbies Stuff

I LOVE this place and so do my grandkids. It's a serene place that causes wonder and also educates and rescues. It is a good asset to JAX. Thousands of fish to see and reptiles. Great habitats for all species, great waterfall and even a Cafe. The place is huge so expect to spend some time.

  • B T

What an awesome new store! Saltwater, freshwater, reptiles and a cafe all under one roof. This place is huge, easy to navigate, full of friendly people, healthy livestock and nice products. Very kid friendly and entertaining. I’ve gotten some nice corals from there and my kids love it.

A must go to place if you are an aquarium enthusiast. The displays are amazing, particularly the rescue ponds. A wide variety of hardscape, plants, fish, and corals. Large selection of rimless tanks and tank accessories. Cafe has good food that's made to order.

  • Tammie M

Floating Sea Aquatic cafe is Jacksonville own little hidden gem to get a quick bite to eat and see some beautiful fishes and reptiles. Plus you can purchase you a little forever fish to go home with you. Love it will be back to get me a beautiful little fish.

  • Ron Williams

Very nice place. Might be a little understaffed if you are trying to purchase some fish. I've been there a few times and the food area has been closed each time. There's not a huge selection of African Cichlids, but it is a good selection. Nice staff.

  • SarDjentPepper

Careful, if you aren't into the hobby and you visit this place... you will probably get sucked in haha beautiful store, all the tanks in the store were very well kept, good selection of natural decor and equipment as well as healthy looking livestock

Definitely the fanciest fish store i’ve ever been in, it was like walking through a small aquarium. As we walked around the staff was very friendly and there if you need them. Unfortunately we did not eat at the cafe this time but we will be back!

Great place to bring your kids to learn about nature. As long as you understand this is not a good place for coffee, you will enjoy your time. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Came in for some supplies, however I couldn’t help to notice the saltwater side is looking a little rough compared to when it first opened and also much smaller. Saltwater pond looks great stocked up.

I’ve been getting back into having a tank at home and the staff has been so helpful in this process, I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Not to mention the building is really cool as well.

Wow! Really amazing and huge aquarium and cafe. Really impressed by the size and the selection of products and fish. This place is definitely a must visit, well air conditioned as well.

  • Kelsey Barber

I'll start by saying if you are going just to admire the tanks & cafe then you'll have a great time. However, if you are planning to purchase fish then I would proceed with caution.
