Title: Disappointing Experience at Flower Box on Gulf Freeway Review: My recent visit to Flower Box on Gulf Freeway was nothing short of a frustrating and disheartening experience. From the moment I stepped into the store, it became apparent that the staff members were rude, uncaring, and completely aloof to the needs of their customers. Upon entering, I approached one of the staff members and politely inquired about a specific plant I was hoping to find. Instead of offering any assistance or even a hint of enthusiasm, the response I received was incredibly dismissive and condescending. The staff member bluntly stated, "Only what you see is what we have." This reply left me bewildered and frustrated as it provided no helpful information regarding their inventory. The overall attitude displayed by the staff was completely off-putting. It seemed as though they were more interested in their own conversations and personal affairs than assisting customers. The lack of attentiveness and willingness to help was highly disappointing, especially considering the fact that I was genuinely interested in making a purchase. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to expect a certain level of professionalism and courtesy when visiting any retail establishment. Unfortunately, Flower Box on Gulf Freeway failed miserably in these aspects. The staff's rudeness and aloofness created an unwelcoming atmosphere that made me regret stepping foot in the store. Customer service is a vital aspect of any successful business, and it is clear that Flower Box on Gulf Freeway has a long way to go in this regard. I left the store feeling frustrated, ignored, and completely unappreciated as a customer. It is disheartening to see such a lack of care and consideration for patrons who are genuinely interested in supporting their business. Based on my experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Flower Box on Gulf Freeway to anyone seeking a positive shopping experience. The rude and uncaring demeanor of the staff, coupled with their aloofness and condescending replies, create an environment that is far from inviting. I strongly advise potential customers to look elsewhere for their floral needs, where they can expect to be treated with the respect and attentiveness they deserve.

I usually do not leave reviews, but my experience today was very upsetting. Wife ordered flowers for Mother’s Day celebration. When she arrived, they gave her a funeral spread. Although she stated that the order was not correct, they refuse to change it. I drove back up there with my wife and informed them that this is not acceptable. I ask them to place the flowers in a vase. They did so and charged us 30 dollars more for the vase. And didn’t give back our funeral spread holder! Given we were short on time, I had to take what I could get… subpar flowers and an extra $30 for a vase. Not going there ever again!

The standing spray I spoke to Mrs. Dixie and Mr. Melvyn about turned out BEAUTIFULLY! I was unable to contact them via phone Thursday due to power issues. After speaking with them Friday, they did everything possible to deliver a gorgeous standing spray with the colors and flowers I requested for the funeral service today! Incredible. Thank y'all for being AH-MAZING!!! Also, their prices are very competitive, but don't worry: Quality and beauty aren't sacrificed. You need to call Flower Box for your next floral arrangement!

The lady who owns the place is nice but the product sold isn't. I bought a dozen roses at the crazy price of $35. I asked for flower food, she says she doesn't have any and that she "can guarantee if you change out the water daily they will last 7 days." You're a floral shop you should carry flower food. It's been one day and these things look horrible. I can buy better roses at HEB for half the price.

The roses, flowers, and plants are some of the most freshest, vibrant, and beautiful I've ever bought, I go at least once a week to buy a flower for my hunni, and they already have beautiful arrangements waiting on you if you're in a hurry or you can wait a couple of minutes and they'll arrange one for you, family owned and operated, the friendliest staff I've ever encountered.

I've been buying flowers from here for over 20-24yrs.Always beautiful. All occasions. I call him Santa Clause bc he looks like him & has been there for years. White Beard & all. Weddings-funerals-birthdays-anniversaries. He gives us his undivided attention in service. That's rare these days.Thanks Santa.

Awesome place! I stopped in today to get some flowers to enhance a photoshoot and I am glad I did. The owner and her daughter were extremely friendly and helpful. I was able to find everything I needed for my shoot thanks to their great service and selection. I highly recommend this place!

Would love the single rose in a bottom. They give free card and tiny envelope so people can write sth to the receiver. The rose I got was a fresh one and my friend loves it.
