Came here on a Sunday, midday, before heading to meet family in Port Adelaide. Kitchen was very busy but super friendly staff got to us right away and got us seated. Love the furniture and the table numbers. Lots of character. When ordering staff let us know it would be a 35 minute wait on food so we couldn’t order anything on the menu, because we had other plans, so we ordered sandwiches from the fridges. Really thankful for them letting us know ahead of time! Coffee was great, huge portions. I wasn’t expecting it. Medium is definitely a large at most locations so keep that in mind haha. Sandwiches were alright, definitely would have likely to try something on the menu but we’ll just have to come back another time. Came on a bit of a dreary day so couldn’t really make the most of the view on the water but I imagine on a sunny day that this place really lights up :)

Had a delightful breakfast at this cafe, and the location truly sets it apart—nestled on a deck overlooking the river, it offers an unparalleled ambiance. The food was satisfying and the coffee absolutely hit the mark. Given that the cafe was bustling with a full house, the staff managed to perform admirably from the confines of a surprisingly small kitchen. While there might be a slight wait, it's important to remember it's due to the unique design of the place and not the fault of the staff. Speaking of which, every member of their team deserves accolades for their dedication and hard work. They truly are superstars in ensuring a memorable dining experience! Highly recommend for a serene breakfast spot

The best scrambled eggs you will eat in Port/Semaphore area. After trying numerous cafes in the vicinity…nothing compares to Folklore’s scrambled eggs. They are always delivered steaming hot and cooked to perfection every single time. I don’t know how they do it, they are magicians of the humble eggs. The staff are always friendly, polite and if you come earlier in the mornings the service is super speedy. The coffee is also always on point. If you’re lucky you may spot a dolphin or two. If you’re a bit of a scrambled egg looking for some delicious scrambled eggs this is the place for you. Top tip: if you order haloumi you also get a slice of lemon which goes nicely with the eggs and thick slice of sourdough.

Neatly tucked away on Port Adelaide’s wharf perimeter, its clever location and construction affords a unique and intimate waterside dining experience. The food was great, but not fantastic, no reflection on the standard or quality, the items we selected were “mainstream” (they offer some interesting oriental options we’re not familiar with and didn’t try). The on street parking nearby is ample and there are some nice shady spots in Mundy St, if you need shade. Also, the adjacent playground is very well equipped and has shady bench retreats and a couple of tables you could take this Café’s treats to for a kid friendly alfresco meal break.

If you’re scanning google for cafe’s to hit up - stop right now and go here. Seriously divine food, unbelievable coffee, lovingly prepared food, gorgeous sensory experience with vintage pottery kitchenware, vibes from the staff were so warm & chill, and the view of the water from the deck was heaps peaceful. I’ll literally track this cafe down and come back next time i’m passing through Adelaide. Amaaazing vibe.

We went on a Saturday morning for brunch. The menu is simple, less than 10 dishes. It's not clustered like other cafe's menu, which I find it simple and easy to read. I really wanted to try every dish on the menu, so we ordered three dishes and shared between two of us, two savouries and one sweet. A mushroom ragu, a burger and a French toast. They were equally amazing! However, the coffee wasn't the best I have had, a bit too sour. I wish I ordered a small one instead of a large. The location is definitely stunning, very spacious and over the port river. I will definitely come back and try the other dishes!

It’s a cute cafe and has the advantage of having pretty views. You can enjoy the movements of the water or look at the little sparrow’s always flying around. I tried the Omelette with Kimchi and toast and my friend tried the brekkie burger. The food was good but the wait time for the food was almost 40 minutes. I had ordered an orange hot chocolate that didn’t take long and was served quite fast. Overall it was a good experience

Visited the place few times, ambience is beautiful overlooking the water. The food is good, our favorite is mushroom ragu. The service needs to improve, takes time before someone welcome people standing by the door. The vibes of the staff not that friendly smiley and not that accommodating. The counter seems very thight for staff to move properly. After dining, supported business to have the money you worked for, do not expect the staff to say thank you when you are leaving the door, service has to improve a lot!

Way over priced, almost $60.00 for 2 burgers and 2 milkshakes is not good value, wait time time of 30 minutes (lunch period) was way too long, the kitchen is the size of a postage stamp! There is a limited number of choices on the menu, you are "hemmed" in to buying expensive food, an old ruse! There are many other places in the Port who are not as expensive, I will not be attending this place again.

Perfect location with stunning gulf view. Interesting ambience. Kids with single parent friendly. They have kids crafting table and nursing table in toilet. The coffee and chocolate options are interesting. Like their sauce / seasoning on tofu toast. The burger is a bit boring, but amendable. A bit slow on the delivery. The best thing for us is we saw a group of jellyfish casually flowing underneath the cafe oversea platform.

The food is really really good. I give them that. But the service I am afraid is not. We waited 45 minutes to get our order. They do have a disclaimer that they have a small kitchen. However, if the issue is already known, then they should probably have a smaller space in order to accommodate the right amount of tables based on their kitchen/petsonnel capacity. For that reason, I am afraid I will not go again.

Everything came out packed with flavour! The overall ambience of the cafe is welcoming and cosy -with large windows and outdoor seating to stare out at the water while you enjoy a hot coffee . The cafe also provides a play area for kids to doodle on the chalk board, or accompany themselves with toys.

Lovely place to sit outside sheltered. Just called in for coffee and banana bread. The coffee was hot and served not long after ordering. Bread was delicious. Plenty of places to sit and relax both inside and out. Great sitting above the water and watching the world go by. There is an enclosed play ground about 100 meters from cafe.

Lovely cafe. Nice coffee. Beautiful views. We visited at the start of Spring and got a table outside, overlooking the river. The staff are very friendly. The food is good. Takes a while to serve, but that’s okay, since you can use that time to catch-up with friends, or just be in the present and completely relax.

Good and service are great. The view is very nice but the decorations and overall atmosphere were not bad, but nothing increasingly either. We ordered a breakfast burger with halloumi for each. It was delicious and the quantity was more than enough for us. The service overal was very good as well

Such an awesome cafe with an incredible view! You're hanging out over the water which is just spectacular, especially when dolphins pop up right next to you! The food was excellent, coffee was good and staff were friendly. Certainly a hidden gem worth checking out when you're in the Port Adelaide area.

They need space for their kitchen.. wait time for the food is 45mins to an hour and we went there 1pm on Sunday which is not the peak hours anymore. Staff are friendly.. food not that great. Not many option either. Good view and we saw dolphins..

We have recently discovered this amazing spot on Port Adelaide River. We were stunned by the view that this place has an access to. On top of that, food was heavenly delicious. We ordered kimchi omelette and cheese cake and we loved them. Highly recommend to try out this place.

Screaming shades of Melbourne, folklore is a kitschy cafe serving delicious food with unrivalled views. As soon as we sat down, we were treated to a pod of dolphins swimming by. Friendly service and beautifully presented dishes. A nice find for Sunday morning

Unique location with tasty meals and good coffee plus they do very large pots of chai tea with soy and honey infuses. The eggs Benedict is next level amazing. The purée and choice of flavours is excellent.

Fantastic water view we even saw a dolphin there! Nice and cozy place, outdoor may be a better choice as the indoor dining area is not quite airy. Not a big fan of the desert but the coffee is good.
