If getting quality education is your priority, kindly go anywhere but here. Appearances can be deceiving and nobody knows that better than GCU students. A recent graduate from the Forensics Department of this university, my daughter is now more depressed than ever regarding her coursework and career. With two years of lousy classes, incompetent faculty, zero to little labwork and no regards to the requirements of the students whatsoever, it is a miracle that admissions are still pouring in, for nobody really knows what goes on in the university unless they're actually inside. And by the time you'll realise all this, it would already be too late. Even to say that the labs are poorly equipped would be an understatement. The admistration is useless, CAN YOU BELIEVE THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE A TIMETABLE FOR THE MOST PART OF THEIR FINAL YEAR?? Big promises would be made in terms of internships and placements, but when you'd actually need their assistance you'd find that you would have to fend for yourself. My daughter had to run around to secure the internship herself, with no help from the university whatsoever. Now that they're done with their coursework, no placement or job fair has yet been organised for their department this year. IF THEY MAKE PROMISES ABOUT PLACEMENTS, IT IS A TRAP!! THEY WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT IT AND WOULD NOT EVEN PRETEND TO CARE ABOUT IT WHEN YOU ASK QUESTIONS!! I am sure to recieve some serious backlash from the university to this review here, but enough is enough and if this review prevents even one student from making the same mistake of enrolling in this University, my purpose would have been served.

DO NOT RISK YOUR OR KIDS LIFE Edited on 8 Mar 23: earlier I mentioned about nobody responded for internal marks, now they asked to pay 3k per paper, after paying externals failed, which was pass earlier just and asking to 3k per paper and write exam, you paly with a student life just shake of 3k?? Better you beg, you'll get better money then this and nobody responds this time as well, the simple answer everyone say "nothing is in my hands" then who handle your your college tool, God??? Edited after college's reply; no controller is responding to improve internal marks that whoever have 100% attendance and completed all assignments. Hope you will check with controller, HOD if there such grievances, if not entire mgmt is one page. Simple question, why doesn't the controller address students grievances One of the worst college in and around KR Puram, Bangalore since last 3 years. Good infrastructure campus won't give good leadership or results. Very poor management, no proper plans and schedules. They do whatever they wish and do not respond to students queries even after continued follow-up. Failing students with low internal marks, does it benefit you or spoil one year of student life even though they completed everything and don't ever respond to the students grievances. I've all the proofs , will disclose very soon. I'll strongly recommend not to go for GCU. IF YOU CAN ADDRESS ALL PENDING GRIEVANCES BEFORE I DISCLOSE ALL PROOFS, ASK YOUR HODs HOW MANY ARE PENDING AND WHY.

Cons: 1. Staff has ZERO idea when exams start or when semester will end. College doesn't follow dates or timelines. Exams come as a surprise, barely 3-4 days notice for mid term exams. Barely 1 week for Finals or Practicals. 2. If you come from outsider Bangalore then very difficulty to visit family. You can't plan to visit parents or go to home in timely manner because nobody in GCU knows about dates for exams or semester endings. Going to home tickets becamed very expensive because of constantly delays in schedule. They are dilly-dally with dates and nothing happens on time. Other colleges have strict schedules. Can't go to village to meet parents or to plan the festivals. Last semester we could not go home to meet the family (this is very BAD). GCU need proper timetable and semester schedule. 3. Teachers lack experience. Most teachers are MPT students from same college itself (hired after passing out). 4. Attendance requirement too high compared to rest all colleges. 5. Teachers seeming overworked. Pros: 1. Lots of events. 2. Classmates are fun. Posting anonymously because still studying here.

BEWARE: TOTALLY disorganized college (This should be a 1 star review). 1. Teachers and Staff DO NOT KNOW anything about "Time-table" or "Exam Schedule". They will NEVER stick to "Course Calendar". Be warned Exams are notified ONLY 1 day in advance (in spite of constant requests "begging" the staff for earlier notification). 2. For current internal exams, notifications were given on whatsapp on Saturday evening for Monday morning exam. They will reply saying "we give the 15 days notice", but this is false information, please ask your seniors before joining (physiotherapy peoples). 3. They will bomb you up with assignments, presentations and internal exams all at once, because there is no planning involved. If they planned this would never happen to poor students. 4. Because of this you will NEVER be able to PLAN, PREPARE, STUDY (OR) TAKE LEAVE to meet the family members. NOTE: WILL DELETE THIS COMMENT WHEN "GCU puts Emphasis on STUDENTS life."

  • Sudheer Reddy Alluru

If you join here, your life is ruined. It is not up to the mark with the university standards, more of college level standards. They don't have proper process and don't even have the status of the student. Admin team in this college is pathetic, rude and careless. They don't have proper administration. Don't get cheated yourself with hospitality and hipe they create during the joining. It will be there only till student joins and they don't care you after that. Even if parents go later to get the status of student, they treat you worst, rude and try to put rules on the parents. I did a mistake and guilt of joining my relative here. Please think twice before joining here

GCU has schools in different parts of Bangalore under the name of Devamatha Central Schools. I was there for the Xth and XII stds graduation ceremony. The outdoor stage was arranged on the spacious campus for the same. The campus is eye catching with big buildings, greenery and landscaping. There were colorful lighting everywhere, also water falls and fountains, and it looked like a fairytale when darkness fell. There's a separate building for cafes and dining. Very spacious and can seat a big crowd at one go. We were offered tasty dinner after the function. A place to check out for different studies and career courses.

Teachers are very good at harassing even after a complain against them to the management, they put false allegations on student and the teachers are very good at gossiping, being bias and being ignorant of serious matters. Not recommended, especially MBA. Here is the response to your reply. I will surely share this information to the actual student(s) the victim(s) and they will follow the said process as mentioned by you in your reply. I have raise this concern because teachers being baised and ragging the student(s) by law or by any educational institution should not be entertained and must be punishable.

  • Noel Fredericks

I am an alumni of this institution. I found it to be one of the best institutions in Bangalore with high standards in education and training. I am surprised and pained to see some people writing negative comments about high fees, and other things. The institution was very transparent about the fee structure from the beginning. I couldn't think of quality being cheap unless it is 100 per cent funded by some other agency or body. It is a natural law that whoever speaks ill about their parents or the institution that nurtured them will face consequences in life. They would impede their own development.

  • ROHISPHERE

An educational institution is a place which helps the students to seek out the answers for their questions and a place where the accessibility of all that they may require is present and usable. In this aspect GCC has approximately balanced infrastructure-staff ratio. Where some staff excel and other don't, likewise some portion of infrastructure is excellent but others not so much. However the ongoing efforts of Dr.Joseph V G is applaudable. In the timeline of 3 years in my life at GCC was eye opening in various ways. One must understand that no matter the place, but the intent is most crucial.

  • Vaibhav Rauta

The university portal's functionality is highly disappointing. Attendance records aren't updating, quizzes are often inaccessible, and server issues are constant. This affects online exams and frustrates both students and faculty. I strongly advise prospective students to explore other options and not be misled by the college's management trainees. The college's emphasis on showcasing rather than substance is evident, with no actual companies matching the lofty promises displayed in advertisements. It's a regrettable experience for anyone seeking quality education.

Good campus, great library, all that management need from you is just money, and you study yourself in a nice campus. Admission process is pretty much easier than dropping off. NB:- double check your mind before submitting previous certificates to obtain admission. Two things in consideration, you have to be rich enough, and don't even think about dropping out or changing course hence you have to end up paying atleast 1 to 2 lakhs to get back those highschool certificates, whether you attend the college or drop off in first semester. !!!

  • MoonStar

I just wanna say please try to join elsewhere, this college is just a money leaching machine, initially they'll literally do everything for you and try to get your admission and then it's hell, the registrar staff makes it look like we are asking them for free service and don't get me started oh the management, once I heard a senior of mine who passed out wrote an honest review on Shiksha and they conered and bullied her into deleting it because she wrote an honest review which didn't suit their image

  • Indo new Three

Registrar office in charge I do not know he is the incharge or not! He wears a white shirt, little old, I'm not from this college, I just went to ask them about some issue with my child and this staff without no reason he look soo angry, soo rude talking to me, he kick every students out of the office when they came to clear their doubts. I couldn't solved my issue, Why is he angry everyday with students? Why did the college hire him to work there? That's my question to GCU. IT dept are not qualified

  • Runu Lokam

My name is Lokam Runnu and I am pursuing my Bachelor's in tourism in garden city university. Currently i am in my 2nd semester and its been nearly a year since I've joined. The fact that I like about this university is that GCU has a lot to offer. Honestly, I really like the faculties from our department. They are really very friendly and helpful. GCU conducts a lot of activities which really helps us to boosts ourselves in every way. These activities has really has really helped me a lot.

  • Right ToLearn

GCU is one of the worst 'State Private Universities' in Bangalore. You will pass out from this college/university if you pay what ever they ask. But your certificate is useless when you apply for a job. No sufficient class rooms, no good teachers and poor management. All the good/experienced professors left the university because of the poor management team. Only the left overs are find in the campus now. Not adviseable to send your kids here.. Period!!

  • Abhishek Kumar

It's such a good university full with greenery and beautiful faces. Well maintained. Frequently sports and other activities are organised. Some staffs are really good. But some are too much cruel. Specially staffs are on duty during government exams like ISRO. It's in such a place where you will not find any good hotels/ food courts/restaurant bit in an area full of resident buildings. Also the classroom or corridors have no CC TV cameras for safety.

  • Aryan Aggarwal

Great campus, however the college is extremely unprofessional and has zero skill of hosting and organising events. The event Metavasi, Gardenia that they hosted was a complete flop, and they caused so much mental agony and unnecessary stress to participants from other college. Nobody knows how to follow schedules here and the unprofessionalism will amaze you. Highly suggest you not to take part in their events.

  • Sayyed Sanjeeda

It was amazing. It is very maintained, clean and excellent campus. Even tje staff members are also so humble and good. There is covid-19 testing in the entrance and inside the campus they also maintain social distancing and to avoid the contamination they had started the online classes . Inshort GARDEN CITY UNIVERSITY is the best college campus with all the facilities available, that I've been ever visited.

  • vijay k

The university boasts excellent and meticulously maintained infrastructure, accompanied by a friendly and helpful staff. The emphasis placed on extracurricular activities is pivotal for nurturing students' future growth and development. Throughout her time at this institution, my daughter successfully earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree and had no grievances to express.

  • manoj b

A good college and spacious, good infrastructure but very Bad plan for such large space. The toilets are also not well maintained. The toilet complex for such huge building is very under served. The only best part is the front elevation and entrance which looks very classy but only to get disappointed to know that the infrastructure will not live up to the initial expectations.

  • kevin jose

Wonderful campus, nice experience and greenery, what a hospitality and care. I found what I expected from a Indian University like a foreign University in home land. All Possible options to select a course with the counceling by professional career counselors. A unique University in itself. Great experience, definitely recommend everyone to experience the campus and study

  • Shridhar

Conducting NEET 2023 in this campus was organised so well, extremely happy & helpful, there was no tensions for students at this moment, it was a smooth flow of scrutiny & the seating, parking everything was well good. My son studied in DMCS one of GCC maintained schools, was happy to get centre allotted here itself.

  • we decide our vibes

Teaching is good but Such a poor management. Specially IT department, don't know how to do their job. And management people are always busy as if We students are jobless. Coming to this college is my worst decision ever. And not to forget they are Very good at leeching money.

  • Ayaan

Im student of BHM . College is good . But little bit expensive. The staff are also good nd friendly nature . Many courses are available Here . Like Bachelor of Hotel Management , Physiotherapy, mass nd media nd so many courses. Fully green campus nd well maintained

  • Aditya god

Please don't select Hotel Management course in this college, it's one of the worst coaching provided. No proper coaching and teaching. For one year there were no practicals. So I conclude by telling you all that it isn't worth studying for this particular course.

  • Jaswanth Singh

Waste college for bcom. Just a waste of money. Fees is too much. Compared to fees and the features given are not that adequate. No extra curricular activities. No ground for playing. I would seriously not recommend this college for any course for commerce people.

  • Sireesha chandra

Worst behaviour of the administration department , don't know how to respond, respect people's feelings.worth for nothing.I cancelled my admission here , they are playing tricks without giving my certificates and they haven't paid the money which I paid.

  • Irfan Ahmad

Campus is good, but the students are a lucky and that is what you should give the highest emphasis to if you're a new student here, and some teachers are good but some are rude after a couple days of teaching, the syllabus is outdated in some aspects
