I really want to like Garden Oaks veterinary, but after yet another poor experience, we are going to find a new vet. Our most recent experience resulted in +$500 in vet bills and sedation of our cat to get a diagnosis of a middle/inner ear infection. This was only for the diagnosis, they did not provide any treatment other than pain medicine. They referred us to a specialist, suggesting that he needed a CT scan and potential surgery and testing to confirm what was causing the infection. This caused a tremendous amount of stress, thinking our 6 YO cat had a potentially cancerous mass in his head. After struggling with their referred specialist, we were able to find a specialist on our own who visually confirmed (in 20 minutes, without sedation, and for $150) that our cat does not in fact have an ear infection and recommended continuing on antibiotics (which we had to procure separately from a different vet when Garden Oaks would not prescribe). Our cat is now fully recovered and I'm thankful we did not put him under unnecessary anesthesia to investigate a problem that wasn't there. I think Garden Oaks has potential to be a good neighborhood vet for annual check-ups, but I was not happy with how they handled our most recent illness. Proceed with caution and trust your gut if you don't think their diagnosis and treatment plan feels right.

The ancillary staff at Garden Oaks Vet is phenomenal! They are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately our experience with the vet was not as good; this office has a lot of proprietary products such as food, toothpaste, pro-biotics, etc that must be nice add-ons but quite frankly are unnecessary as long as you are taking care of your pet. We felt that Dr. Rob was pushy for selling his products during the exam and made us feel like bad pet owners for things such as not brushing his teeth EVERY DAY (we brush them once a week during his bath) and for not buying name brand food (apparently Iams is not good enough). The biggest thing I would like other pet owners to know is that this office does not honor online prescriptions for 3rd party vendors. You must buy your heartworm and flea/tick medication in-house, which has about a 30% mark up over 3rd party vendors for the same exact medications. Additionally, their standard pet exam is about $30 more expensive than the same standard pet exam at other places. You do get a nice goodie bag at the end of the visit, but we found that our experience of getting guilt-tripped into buying their proprietary products, being made to feel like we weren't good pet owners, and not allowing us to have the convenience of buying medications online are not worth returning.

I took my dog in because she was having major digestive problems (bloody diarrhea). I called at 7am (as soon as they opened) to see if I can come in as a walk-in. Unfortunately, they do not take walk-ins which I completely understand. They took my dog in the very next open appointment which was at 9:30am. As soon as I got there, they were polite and compassionate (as they can probably see that I was stressed and worried). I didn't wait long at all, in fact, they took me to the triage room earlier than I expected. The vet technician (Bree) and the doctor (Dr. Gallete) were extremely caring, sympathetic, compassionate, and thorough with their examination of my dog. I had to leave my dog there until 5:30pm until they finish blood work and give me a confirmed diagnosis. The doctor called me to give me an update. When I heard that my dog had 2 different diagnoses, I was very scared, upset, and worried. She gently reassured me that the diagnoses were treatable and that I shouldn't worry. She was very sensitive to my reaction. She knew what to say to calm me down. I deeply appreciated her empathy. All in all, the ladies at the front desk, Dr. Gallete, and Bree were warmhearted and caring. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic.

Disappointed disabled veteran/service dog. Ran 15 mintues behind and called at the 10 minute mark. They said no worries to get there as quick as I could. Got there 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment after driving 45 minutes to see them for a quick vaccination visit. When I arrived, the front desk lady told me to head back to the treatment room. As I made my way back, another lady then came out and told me to reschedule instead. Very uncomfortable and confusing to say the least. I explained that I drove very far and offered to stay there all day if need be, so they could see him at any break/cancellation they might have since my dog gets extremely car sick. They didn’t even budge. Why would you tell me I’d still be okay over the phone and tell me to head to the treatment room if you’re going to have someone else change it all up and tell me to reschedule? For a quick vaccination? Just be honest over the phone instead of inconveniencing me when I arrive. My dog has been a patient here since he was 12 weeks old and the quality of service has slowly deteriorated. I’ve had a terrible experience last two times I’ve been here with the staff not being helpful or transparent. Will not be coming back and do not recommend.

Extremely poor value. We knew this place was not cheap, but our dogs mean a lot to us and we're willing to pay for good service. We brought our new pup in for her first exam after already bringing our adult dog to this place for about 2 years. She had a spot on her leg that they took pictures of and measured and said they would check it again when she came in for her follow up for more vaccines. My fiancé brought her in and had a lot going on that day, so did not think to bring up the spot - but it is not his job... it is the vet's job to bring up their notes that they take. They did not even mention it. So I called this morning to see what the consensus was and the girl I spoke with had no idea. She put me on old for at least 5 minutes. And when she came back, she stated that we are to book a medical exam outside of her wellness exam. Which was NOT stated at our pup's first exam - we were promised it would be addressed in her follow up. So - another way to nickel and dime us. Another $55 dollar deposit and more high premiums :-) Again, we are happy to be completely robbed for the sake of our pups and good service, but when they start making things up and not doing their jobs - we are out.

I have an anxious dog and I told the receptionist before I came for my visit. The visit started off fine until they wanted to take my dog to the back room. When my dog gets scared she just kind of shuts down and refuses to move. So they start dragging her by her neck (she's 80lbs) to go out the door. I say, "hold on! let me take her as far as I can." I take her to the door that leads to the exam room and who knows what happened back there. Then they were going to take some cells to test and see if a mass was okay. Again the vet tech tries to drag her by her neck out of the corner of the room. At that point I just take over and move her around and hold her. The doctor was fine, but this vet tech was clearly uninterested in soothing my anxious dog in any way. On top of that they recommended that I feed my dog hills or purina which are some of the worst foods on the market. Anyway, if you have an anxious dog and or feed your dog anything you cant buy at petsmart dont go here.

I must say, my first experience with Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic was remarkable. From the first day that I called to make Apollo’s appointment, to his exam completion, visit explanation and payment; the entire process could not have been any smoother. Dr. Day and his experienced team provided me with top notch customer service. They were truly interested in Apollo’s present needs and went above expectations to make him feel at ease (being that he is 16yrs of age). Dr. Day took his time and explained Apollo’s exam results to me and a course of action that would maintain his health. A HUGE plus, NO surprise fees or pushes for additional services. If you are looking for an OUTSTANDING veterinary clinic, with kind, wonderful and knowledgeable doctors/staff members, I strongly propose Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic, you will truly be pleased with the care that is given to your pet. Be prepared to wait, pay out the wazoo, and be told what you “need” to do with your pets. Just left this place fuming. A UTI appointment lasting over 2 hours. Went in knowing exactly what it was but these people act like it’s brain surgery to figure it out and want to charge you as much as possible for them to tell you exactly what you already knew walking in the door… Dr. Vega was very pleasant but the tech was too much for me. She told me what I “needed” to do probably 10 times, made everything out to be life ending, and got offended when I asked her to speed it up because I had already been there for 2 hours and she was telling me the exact same thing the doctor had just said. Meanwhile the doctor seemed to be unconcerned with everything she was saying. Crazy that I just spent $400 for a UTI… and that was me telling them “no” to everything else they wanted to charge me for…

This use to be the best vet in Houston. But when Dr. C passed the front office staff is completely diff and not very kind. Seems like money is more important than the clients now. Spoke to someone over the phone about my babies flea medicine. She asked for number and looked up my account and said I can just come on by. When I send my husband there 30 min away. They’re like you don’t have your annual so you cannot. Fine. You cant give me the medicine but it’s the lack of empathy and attitude after getting and attitude back with the rude girl at the front I finally got a half way I’m sorry for the confusion. Unfortunate because we’ve have going here for 5 years. But no need to come here anymore. This is not the same vet. I will say I have seen Dr Day and he is great and some of the techs are great. It’s the front office that is just rude and seem to dislike their job.

I brought my cat Bella to Garden Oaks Vet Clinic I am so glad I did! I requested an appointment on line Friday night Jodi call me first thing Saturday morning with appointment avaiablity. My Bella needed a physical, her nails trimmed, and flea treatment. Mattie and Dr. Graham explained everything they we're going to do to Bella from the physical to the nail clipping to the shots that she received to treat her skin. I asked Maddie about buying expensive food versus reasonable price food she was extremely knowledgeable in aninal food intake made me see that expensive foods is not always the best option. Next day Bella's skin was 90% better! Thank you for all the attention and care you provided to my Bella. You guys are the BEST!!! I'm so glad I found the perfect clinic for Bella.

We LOVE LOVE this vet! Not only is the vet fantastic but the technicians are absolutely amazing! Sarah, Madeline, Olivia they are all so great! (During COVID they are only doing curbside and phone call appts.) They are always so gracious when I call and so polite. They’ve been very helpful answering any questions I have about my sweet baby. We got him neutered today and like the obsessive dog mom I am I called to see how he was. They weren’t annoyed, or short, they talked about him as if I were talking about him. Never rushed to get me off the phone, and gave me excellent advice for recovery. I’ve recommended this vet to so many people, that I wish I could buy stock in this company lol Thank you Garden Oaks for having the biggest warmest heart towards our fur babies!

I had to take my Bailey (Red Heeler) to an after hours ER vet last night as she was having severe gastro distress. They ran a few tests, all of which came out negative, but recommended I take her to my normal vet the next day. I took her to Garden Oaks today and Dr. Rob spent at least 15 minutes talking through possible diagnosis. He did a couple of blood and stool tests, all of which were negative and based on her symptoms, narrowed the issue to her food and stomach intolerance to her current dog food. He recommended a new food and some probiotics for her. I cannot stress enough how helpful and pleasant the entire staff was and their concern for Bailey's well-being was definitely apparent. I've gone to a couple of different vets and Garden Oaks is by far the best!

I started bringing my cat, Mittens, to Garden Oaks Veterinary last month after Oak Forest Veterinary did not get lab results back fast enough to save the life of my cat, Oliver. I am very pleased with the services I've received so far at Garden Oaks! I was so impressed when we got Mittens' blood test back in twenty minutes! Mittens' issues are improving some and the Doctor calls from time to time to check in on him to see how he is progressing. The staff is kind and caring and they tell you what things are going to cost upfront. I truly believe that if I had brought my cat Oliver to Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic, he would still be with us today. I'm very happy to have found this high level of care for Mittens so close to home. Thank you for all that you do!

  • Aimee Blysard

I took my kitten in for his first ever vet appt today and I was very pleased with the experience. The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming with smiles and hellos, and they took interest in my kitten. The vet’s assistant and the vet himself were very kind, personable, and knowledgeable. I didn’t feel rushed in and out at all like at some clinics, and they were both very gentle and loving to my kitten for his exams and shots. They even trimmed his nails for me too. I was nervous at first because this is my first pet, but I was put at ease seeing their whole process. They have gained my trust and confidence, and I feel comfortable leaving my little fur baby in their hands now and in the future.

  • Ashley Pipkin-Jones

I was thrilled with my experience at Garden Oaks. I am new to the area and came here as a new patient for my dogs' annual appointment as well as some stomach issues my dog was having. They were very thorough in their examination and explained everything to me, including noting that one of my dog had some arthritic changes. The recommended joint supplements (which I ordered online). I also bought my heart worm medication and ended up getting the full year's worth as they had a coupon for $50 off. And I received a new-patient goodie bag. A bit silly, yes, but it does make one feel like a valued customer.

  • Scott and Tina Martin

Absolutely the most caring group of folks I have ever dealt with. We were in town when my 16 yr old fur baby fell ill to the cancer he had previously been diagnosed with. We called looking for someone to help with taking away his pain and discomfort and from the phone call to the very end of our visit they made the worst moment of my life a little more bearable. Such compassion and tenderness was shown from the Dr and the staff. I absolutely cannot express my gratitude. If we lived in Houston we would most certainly take all of our fur babies to Garden Oaks Vet Clinic.

  • Megan Thevenot

The vets, vet techs, and office staff here truly care about your pets. There is not one jaded person at this place. They go the extra mile every single time and pay attention to small details. They are always amazing with our 10 year old shih tzu and helped us work through some of his allergy issues that other vets were unable to solve. We had to put down our 14 year old cat this morning and they could not have handled the situation better. The vet made my husband feel supported and offered to give us her paw print on a piece of paper as a memory.

  • Andy Mask

Former established patient since February 2021. Today, vet prescribed heartworm & flea medication, and sold a one month supply for $40. This is a 100% markup compared to what is offered at major pet supply retailers. Vet will not provide copy of prescription required to purchase elsewhere, claiming that other suppliers may be fake. If other suppliers, such as Chewy, purchase directly from manufacturer too, why should we believe that Garden Oaks’ 100% markup supply is also not fake? Dishonest practice intended to double out annual spend at clinic.

  • NJ O

Do not take your pet here! Every encounter has been bad! From showing up to find they didn’t have us down for an appointments more than once to bringing my dog in for surgery to remove a mass on my dogs back and having the vet tech who insists I’m there to remove a small callus on the dogs foot. This was a crazy experience. The incompetence and disorganized was mind blowing. I quickly left and took my dog I was fearful I would find they amputated a leg if I didn’t get out if there There are so many great bets in the area! And check your bill!!

  • Jolene Aguilar

I would definitely recommend Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic to anyone. Dr. Stephen K. Chmaitelli and the team at GOVC are great. They have taken the time to actually talk to me and make sure I always understand what is going on with my dog and not just rush us out the door. They are timely and responsive on any emails or phone calls I have with questions or filling medications. Needless to say, they care. It's hard to find a vet that actually cares and remembers your pet's exact situation but these guys do it all.

  • A Lyn

Let’s see….Dr. Day is the best and the front desk staff is sooooo amazing. My large, energetic, mild mannered dog is more than a handful and this team really brings their A+ game. We have been going to Garden Oaks for over a year and this is the only team I trust to care for my big guy. The care, patience and follow up is above and beyond! If you want a Vet team that cares, encourages and is not bothered by anything you can’t bet on them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! GSD/Husky mom

  • Traci Landgraf

Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic is amazing! My foster dog has bone cancer and we needed to amputate her leg. They made Sophie's experience as pleasant as possible and called with updates on her surgery and recovery. They were patient with my 500 questions and constant phone calls after she came home, and Sophie loves going to visit them. They are a wonderful clinic and I'm looking forward to working with them in the future. Thank you Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic!!!!!!

  • Ashley Kennedy

I am beyond grateful for the garden oak staff. I last minute needed a health certificate to fly international with my cat. I called so many clinics and every place was unable to help me in the time I needed. I was given the number to Garden oaks vet clinic and they immediately went above and beyond to get everything I needed done in the impossible amount of time I had. Thank you SO SO SO much Robert Fisher and the entire Garden Oaks staff. Y’all are truly incredible

  • Jared McAllister

Cannot speak highly enough of this clinic and their professionalism. We had to make the difficult decision to put down one of our dogs. It was extremely difficult for us but they helped us with the process along the way. Incredibly, incredibly professional and heartfelt group. I felt like the prices for the procedure were very generous and affordable, so we could focus on the moment and not worry about how we would be able to afford it. Thank you GO Vet Clinic

  • Paul Wagstaff

The receptionist was very alert and recognized the patient very quickly and showed Max Pain all the attention that he needed. The nurse treated him with care and tried not to hurt him or do anything to hurt him in any way. Overall the clinic is a very clean and well-run place my hat is off to Robert Fisher the director of the place I would highly recommend this place to anybody that has an animal that they want to have taken care of them treated with care

  • Katie Stuchlik

Bringing Rex, our mini aussie, here was the best decision ever! Not only is Dr. C. great with Rex, he's incredibly caring towards all animals, especially in emergency situations. Dr. C is truly the perfect neighborhod veterinarian. I can trust every diagnosis and recommendation for what's best for my pet. The clinic itself is so clean, it's hard to believe animals run in and out all day! The entire staff is incredibly nice and caring as well.

  • Sylvie Garcia

My cat was losing his fur. Dr. C found out the cause. After 2 weeks with prescribed treatment, Chillon is growing back his fur. Took my dog China in today, for arthritis issue and after a thorough check, she may have a tumor. No one else has checked her like Dr. C. The staff is very nice. Really like this vet and have referred my cousin. So glad we found them. We will definitely continue taking our pets to Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic.

  • katelyn aguilar

They are amazing! The vets take their time with your animal and perform a thorough assessment. You can tell they really care about your pet. My new puppy Lazlo was treated so well. They always follow up and made sure Lazlo was okay after getting his puppy vaccines. They even scheduled his vaccines for two separate visits because he was so sore the first time. They only charged me for one vet visit though! Excellent caring!

  • Catherine R

It was a great visit! This appointment was for a yearly check up, and both my cats are healthy. The cats had been there once before with my parents to treat small injuries from a fight, and they healed really well. They used Feliway to calm down the scaredy-cat most likely to fight them, and it's the best. I just wish they didn't have to take the cats out of the exam room for routine things like weighing and nail trim.

  • Jordan Clark

One of our dogs, who wasn’t a patient here, stopped breathing suddenly and we rushed him there since it’s the closest vet to our home knowing we couldn’t make it anywhere else. Everyone on staff rushed to try to help and was very caring. They let us stay with him in a room as long as needed after he passed and did a wonderful job on handling the post life care for our pet. I feel any pet would be in good hands here!

  • Barbara Mercer

Dr. Stephen Chmaitelli and his staff were wonderful on our first visit with my brand new, very energetic, young, and extra tall Doberman/Rottweiler/Labrador rescue. Everyone was professional, helpful, patient, courteous, and obviously enjoy their work. The clinic looks and smells clean. Love the freebies and the convenience of walking to the vet then on to Cottonwood. Beau and I have found our forever vet!

  • Breana Torres

If i could give this place a negative 5 star i would. The Director Robert, was so disrespectful and so unprofessional. Told me to “Fuck Off” and hung up on me. Gave me Two estimates and ended up charging my card for more then what the last estimate was. They say they done everything in their power to help animals but they don’t. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE!!

  • Steve Be (Thor Odinson)

Dr. C is a great vet and his staff are all wonderful and loving towards pets. They provide a really nice and welcoming atmosphere to a place that commonly creates a disturbance in your pet's mood. However, their gentile and loving approach towards your pet really is helpful in calming pets down. If your pets are sick, they get them healthy here! If they are healthy, they help keep it that way!

  • Genesis Jarillo

This was my first time at Garden Oaks Vet and it was great! Our vet tech was super attentive and answered all of our questions which I loved! (As a first time mom I had a tons of questions) It was our first time being able to go in with Blue inside with him since Blue was a quarantine puppy! It felt great being able to be with my blue blue every step of the way! 10/10 Totally would recommend!

  • Taylor Becker

We love Garden Oaks Vet! The Vets and Vet Techs all take the time to listen and thoroughly answer any questions or concerns. We have a very large and very nervous dog and they are very patient with him and help him feel as comfortable as possible. I have never felt rushed and I have always left feeling heard and satisfied with the care my dog received. I will continue to recommend them!

  • Matt Gannon

Excellent place and people. We love our dog like my wife gave birth to him herself, lol. We would not take him anywhere else. Dr. C and the team at Garden Oaks Vet are amazing. Special mention for the Vet Techs Chris and Molly. They do an amazing job. Pricing also seems very fair/reasonable, especially when you consider the significant effort they went through to become AAHA certified.

  • Ashley Treybig

The doctors, technicians and staff are all great! My pup is totally not a fan of shots and Dr. Day goes above and beyond to make her feel safe and loved! Appreciate everything they do to make it a great experience for both of us. Only thing that would make it overall a better experience is if they would allow you to purchase your pet meds online or offer more competitive pricing.

  • Allison Mayer

Just returned home from our first visit. I'm so glad I found this place. Very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Stephen was committed to not just treating Pepper's symptoms like our last vet. He was able to get to the bottom of what she was suffering from and provided me with answers quickly. I really appreciated this as our last vet had no answers for me at all!

  • Dorinda Ivey

If you desire veterinary care that is truly forward thinking as well as staffed ENTIRELY by a group of men and women who LOVE animals, this is the place to take your pet! I have had nothing but first rate care by all the staff at Garden Oaks. I've lived all over the country and tried several other vets here in Houston. For my money and piece of mind, Garden Oaks is fantastic.

  • Mary Montgomery

I highly recommend this veterinarian clinic. For our back not only is the quality of the veterinarian important but the technicians and front office staff are just as important. At Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic the entire team is a pleasure to see every time we go in and my four legged babies love them and I feel the Veterinarians and staff are very knowledgeable.

  • Kechia Warren-Joseph

Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic is wonderful!! It was the best decision I made to transfer there, when one of my cats was diagnosed with Diabetes. Dr. Chimatelli and Dr. Day are both excellent professionals and attentive to the needs of my pet. The staff is knowledgeable, personable, kind and caring. As long as I have a pet, they will be our Vet home!!

  • Magda Dolena

Cannot speak highly enough about Garden Oaks. My 4 dogs have seen a few vets here and they have all been great. Most recently my oldest dog has gone into congestive heart failure and Garden Oaks has provided great care and been very thorough in what our options are moving forward. Our senior dog is doing ok and seems to be in great spirits.

  • Federica Maccari

We recently moved to Houston and we were looking for a new vet. We tried this place with our recent adopted kitten as they are really closed by and we will never go elsewhere in Houston! We went back for our annual check up with our other cats. The vet was very knowledgeable and treated our babies very nicely. Highly recommend this place!

  • Grayson Koonce-Fisher

The best vet I've ever been too, my pup loves it there and so do I. The vets have never failed to help him feel better, and are always exceedingly nice to him. They have very reasonable prices, and always do their best to work with you to get your pets the best care they can. I'll never go anywhere else unless I absolutely have to.

  • Colton Williams

Long wait times, high turnover, exorbitant fees at every stop of the way. Today was the last straw when they blocked me from ordering pet medication from a reputable online vendor. Will be finding a new vet that is more focused on running a quality practice and not just churning out as much money as possible. Ridiculous

  • Jo Kadlec

I bring my dog and cat to GOVC & I love the care and attention they get at the clinic. The front desk staff are so wonderful- very patient and kind. We see Dr. Beville and Dr. Gillette and have had great experiences. Our dog has had really complex medical issues and I am so grateful for the care she’s received at GOVC.

  • Mia Aguirre

LOVE THIS VET!! Very sweet staff, Had a very emotional experience with my cat last year.. I had to leave her with them for a day or two. They gave me multiple updates, allowed me to see her & overall great customer service.. She came home a happy and healthy kitty! Garden Oaks will always have my heart!! You rock! Mia

  • Sarah Williams

Dr C was very understanding when we had to put down our Shepherd Mix at almost 13 years old, but he dropped the ball when we asked him to check the legs on our lab as they had received damage. He was really rough and you could see the dog was in pain from his actions. We ended up going back to our original vet.

  • Sarah Dendy

Great experience this morning. I made an appointment for next week but had a issue yesterday with my dog that made me want to be seen earlier. I called and they scheduled me for the next morning. Everybody was so nice and loving towards my dog, she was so happy the entire time she was there. Highly recommended!

  • Tina DeFiore

I have been taking my fur babies to Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic for several years and have only good things to say about them. They have been extremely professional, always with a smile on their face. I appreciate the time they take and their sense of caring. Dr. C rocks!!! Big thanks to the whole team!!!

  • Edward Burwell

I highly recommend. The docs and staff cares for our dog through her last days. When we went in to say our food byes to our first due baby the staff went completely above and beyond to help us through a very hard morning. The condolences card was the icing on the cake. They were great from start to finish.

  • amporter87

Great experience! We just relocated and didn’t have a great first experience with another Houston vet. Felt right at home here and they were so patient with my older dog Zoe. Excited to bring back my other 2 doggos for the lie checkup. Highly recommend this fantastic, professional and loving team!!

  • Austin Wolf

This is the vet worth driving to. They love on my kitty and make us both feel welcome. They releived my anxiety by taking time with us to educate and answer our questions. Truly fantastic staff who send appointment reminders and make everything so easy. Shout out to Jodi Cavaco who referred us!!

  • Trey Gualtiero

This is the most honest and caring facility that I have visited. The entire staff is helpful and are always trying to make things easier for its' customers. I find the Doctor to be very knowledgeable and I like that he fully explains his treatment plans and what we can expect (including costs).

  • Bev Hayes

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Dr. Chmaitelli is caring, responsive, expert, and personable. The clinic is modern and spotless, it's easy to make appointments, questions are quickly answered, drops offs are a nice option, and GVOC participates in neighborhood/community activities. The Best!

  • Mark McLain

This place is AWESOME! The best Veterinary Clinic I have ever used for my Dachshund. The staff is phenomenal and truly makes all the difference in my pets life. Excellent services and AAHA accredited! If you are a pet parent you must try this place! You and your pet will be glad you did!

  • J L

We came here with an emergency and the staff (and other waiting customers) were so wonderful and supportive. Dr. C got our pup stabilized so we could get him to emergency care. It was a stressful time for us but Garden Oaks Vet stepped up and I can't thank them or recommend them enough.

  • Mireya Segovia

An excellent clinic that provides top notch care for your fur babies! Dr. Day and Dr. C are wonderful veterinarians and are very attentive when checking their patients. The vet techs and receptionists were all so sweet and informative. Thank you for taking care of my Rosie!

  • Kay Wermeling

Dr. Day is amazing with my crazy, big guy, Astro! He’s very knowledgeable and I never feel rushed when asking questions or discussing any issues and all the staff is friendly. Astro actually likes going to the vet! He knows he’ll get a lot of love and a few treats as well!

  • Cynthia Haycraft

I love this place and the people. Everyone is so friendly and give you the information about the visit, medications, etc. clearly. They are not in a rush to get you out the door. Very patient with the humans and their pets! I will be a client for a long time to come!

Love this vet ever since we came for the first time! Wonderful staff wonderful doctors very very helpful. They treat your pets like if they were their own, they even give your pets goodies! No other vet I have been to has done that. This will be my vet for life.

If you're looking for a vet for international travel, go here. Dr. Day and Robert have been a great help with getting my dog ready to move internationally. Plus, the staff and nurses are amazing! I'm so glad I found Garden Oaks and wish I knew about them sooner.

I recommend Garden Oaks Veterinary Clinic to all my friends in Houston. Absolutely love the staff and fully trust them with my dog! It’s so comforting to know that when I walk into their clinic, my baby is in good hands! Thank you Garden Oaks Vet Clinic team!

Dr. Chmaitelli and staff are just marvelous! My two dogs have some problems both physically and behaviorally- everyone in the clinic has been so patient and understanding. They even gave me excellent training advice. I wouldn't take my babies to any one else.

I love this place! They always take special care of my cats! I moved to Houston and had been at my previous vet for many years and was afraid to switch but didn't want to stress out my kitties with a drive. Finding this place has felt like a rare gem.

  • Jimmie Elie

This is my wonderful group, the doctor and staff are the best in Houston. You always feel at ease there. Clean and very professional at all times. My dog is not afraid of going, for me a plus because he walks in instead of being carried. Lol

  • Vanessa Putnam

Great experience. They were able to get my dog in when he was sick and he is doing much better! Saved us allot of headache. Friendly staff and reasonable with prices. They didn't push extra's, but did make sure he got what he needed!

  • Stephen Bartusiak

Dr. Stephen has been tending to my pups for years. He cares for his clients and their owners. I've never been misguided or treated poorly, nor have my pets. Still can't get them to happily go to the vet though!

If you can afford the best of pet care and your pet is your baby and a family member, this is the place for emergency care. If you just need some flea or heartworm medication this place is definitely pricey.

  • jordan lyman

Amazing vet clinic; the front office workers, technicians and doctors are top notch. Dr. C is great with both our dogs, especially the nervous one. Works at her pace and she’s become very comfortable here.

  • Jeremy Still

I had to put my little buddy down. These guys were great. Gulf vet on I10 was terrible. I understand they have good doctor's but I couldn't get the vet to call me back after my dog was partially diagnosed.

  • Ellie Blair

I have never felt so confident with any vet like I do with Dr C. and all the staff. I have 3 furbabies & they treat them with as much love as I do. But they are the professionals & do a great job..

Always pleasant, always on time. I feel like the quality of veterinary care here surpasses other clinics I have been to. I am a doctor myself and feel totally confident taking my pets here.

  • Kyra Gurney

The vets and vet techs are friendly and caring. Our cat loves them - and he doesn’t love many people. The office is always willing to help. They even helped us put claw covers on our cat.
