The car this place rented to us was a disgrace - an old rattletrap with 195000 km on the clock. Most people would have traded it in ten years ago. It had not been washed when we collected it and the previous occupant's debris was still in it. The windscreen was chipped and the spare wheel was bald. I could go on and on. When we booked, there was no warning that the car was old. Next time, I will hire in Adelaide.

Hans and Terry are fantastic to deal with, nothing is too much trouble, and their prices are better than anyone else. The truck I hired was in excellent condition and they even let me use their trolleys, blankets and straps, thrown in without charge. 5 Stars all the way. The trucks are easy to operate, come with lifting tailgate to get those heavy items in the back without straining your back and these guys have the best prices around. I have hired trucks from the guys at Gawler Car & Truck Rentals on many occasions and never had an issue. Great service, quality vehicles & best prices! What more can you ask for!

Make sure you keep a record of any bookings or cancellations you make. I made the mistake of booking and cancelling by phone. There was a mix-up with the cancellation and I was subsequently charged for three days hire even though I didn't pick the car up. No one called me to find out why. Sadly, customer service is obviously not a big plus.

We hired a truck to help shift house, everything went perfect with booking the truck to the payment which is a really good price. Came with ropes, blankets and a sack truck. Will definitely suggest this local company to anyone and we will definitely be using them again.
