During a recent conference trip, we had the delightful opportunity to visit the Georgia Aquarium, and it was an extraordinary experience that exceeded all expectations! As soon as we entered, we were swept away by the mesmerizing displays of marine life that offer a window into a world beneath the waves. One of the highlights of our visit was the enchanting penguin exhibit. We could have spent the entire day watching these playful creatures waddle, swim, and interact with each other; it was both heartwarming and utterly fascinating. The staff at the aquarium were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, providing insights and answering questions with a smile. Every exhibit, from the vibrant coral reefs to the majestic whale sharks, was well-maintained and offered educational tidbits that enhanced our visit. It’s clear that the Georgia Aquarium isn't just an attraction, but a passionate advocate for the conservation of marine life. The aquarium’s layout allowed for easy navigation, ensuring we didn't miss a thing, even though we decided to visit on a whim when our conference ended early. It was a perfect, unplanned adventure that became the highlight of our trip to Atlanta. For anyone considering a visit, the Georgia Aquarium is a must-see. It's a place of wonder and learning that appeals to all ages. Five stars for an unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a magical and educational way to spend their day!

My recent visit to the Georgia Aquarium was an absolute delight. As a tourist seeking a captivating experience, this underwater wonderland exceeded all expectations. From the mesmerizing Ocean Voyager exhibit, teeming with majestic whale sharks and graceful manta rays, to the captivating Cold Water Quest, showcasing the playful antics of penguins and the gentle giants of the beluga whales, each exhibit offered a unique and educational journey. The River Scout exhibit, brimming with vibrant freshwater fish and intriguing reptiles, provided a fascinating glimpse into the diverse life thriving within our waterways. The interactive opportunities further enriched the experience, allowing me to connect with the aquatic world on a deeper level. The Dolphin Adventure show was a highlight, showcasing the intelligence and agility of these remarkable creatures. The educational element, seamlessly woven into the entertaining performance, left a lasting impression. The Georgia Aquarium is not merely a collection of exhibits; it's a vibrant celebration of our planet's aquatic ecosystems. The dedication to conservation and education is evident in every detail, making it an experience that resonates with both adults and children alike. For a truly unforgettable experience, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the Georgia Aquarium. It's a treasure trove of wonder and an enriching journey for every curious visitor.

I had a wonderful time visiting this aquarium. It is a well-designed and well-maintained facility with a wide variety of marine life to see. The exhibits are well-organized and easy to navigate, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. One of the things I appreciated most about this aquarium is that it is easy to get around. There is a clear central hub from which all of the exhibits radiate, making it easy to find your way back to the beginning if you get lost. The aquarium is also wheelchair accessible, which is a great plus. I also enjoyed the two main shows, the seal show and the dolphin show. Both shows were well-produced and informative, and the animals seemed to be well-cared for. I appreciated that there was also the option to make a free reservation for the shows, as this helped to ensure that everyone had a chance to see them. In addition to the exhibits and shows, the aquarium also offers behind-the-scenes experiences and educational programs. I did not have the opportunity to participate in any of these, but I was impressed by the variety of options available. Overall, I highly recommend this aquarium to anyone interested in marine life. It is a great place to learn about and appreciate the diversity of the underwater world.

Incredible aquarium!! Every aspect of the experience was well designed. Anticipation- Lights, heaters, and music along the walkway from the parking garage hyped you up for the experience in store. The ticket kiosks were efficient. The hallway entering had jelly fish on the wall for kids to look at while their parents finished with security. Inside the aquarium- I was amazed! Right now for the holidays there is a massive Christmas tree, an amazing dolphin holiday show, lights, etc. We loved all the display walls for pictures, and the staff being able to provide answers to questions while we looked at exhibits. The design of the building is nice because everything meets in the middle. It is not a linear aquarium where you don’t know what’s ahead. Everything is mapped out! There are really fun engaging touch screen panels and games for kids throughout as well. Reflection- You have the option to buy prints of the photos you took while there as you leave, but we didn’t do that. I’d we had done an animal encounter we might have.

This is a fantastic aquarium. If you go to Atlanta, you should go. It is expensive but it’s worth it. Get your tickets online and you’ll save some money. Make reservations to see the shows. They are free, but you have to make reservations. Get there about 15 minutes early so you can get a decent seat. Or earlier. The entire family will enjoy it. Give yourself at least two hours. They have huge whales! Any enormous tank with sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, lots of beautiful fish. An area you can sit and enjoy it. Just go! They have a small restaurant inside and drinks. Pretty pricey like usual. The gift shop was OK. Parking is $20. You supposedly can get cheaper parking pricing online, but for some reason mine didn’t work, and the people that work there were unable to help me. So that was very frustrating. When you buy your timed ticket, give yourself plenty of time to park and walk in. At least 10-15 minutes.

I am really surprised to see such positive changes at the aquarium! Things I had never seen before made this trip the most memorable! Parking was great using spot hero and the line to enter was really quick on Sunday. The Ocean Voyager section was the most memorable. We could have sat in front of that glass wall for an hour and not been bored. Looking at the whale sharks and tank the turtle was amazing but seeing the size of the sting rays was incredible. I really enjoyed the dolphin show which I didn't even know existed! The shark section was also really amazing with multiple viewing windows. Lunch was really quick and easy! Just pick up a tray and grab whatever! The fries were pretty well cooked and we enjoyed that! Overall we had an amazing experience and I'm really happy to have seen the updates! We used a city pass and it made it so much more affordable to visit here as well as other major attractions!

A wide variety of interesting animals both salt and fresh water, and from warm and cold climates. It's easy to spend three or four hours just taking your time walking through all of the exhibits. Checking out all of the sharks in the predator exhibit took nearly 45 minutes alone. The shows (like the sea lion show) require you to make a reservation, but they're free and you know that you have a seat saved for a specific time slot so you can keep exploring while you wait for your show time. I recommend going on the weekend and arriving early if possible. Like any other major attraction, the later you go, the bigger the crowd. Remember that there are no weapons allowed, so you'll have to leave any pocket knives or firearms in your car since the metal detector will pick them up and send you walking all the way back to the parking garage. Also be aware that parking for the day costs $20.

The Georgia Aquarium is one of the most beautiful aquariums in the US. I go to the Georgia Aquarium every time I am in Atlanta, and I’m amazed each time. The aquarium is split into different sections based on the type of animals and their habitats. You can go to River Scout and see an albino alligator and all fresh water animals. Or you can go to Cold Water Quest and see penguins and all animals that live in cold climates. The Georgia Aquarium also offer shows showcasing seals, sea lions, and dolphins. I was amazed at the wonderful show the animals performed. Also throughout the aquarium, they show the many ways they help the environment and animals to create a better world for all of us. The aquarium has a lot of visitors but it is so huge everyone is spaced out. Definitely come and check out the Georgia Aquarium if you are in or planning to go to Atlanta.

We had a great day at the aquarium. It was very clean, decorated for the holidays, and there was a lot to see. The dolphin show was amazing. The sea lion show could have been better. There is only a virtual map but it’s easy to flow from one location to another. Our stroller was a jogging stroller but it fit within their box so it was allowed inside. Check your stroller against their guidelines. You have to reserve a time for the shows, but I was able to sign up for a different time later in order to move our slot up. We got there before 9 and left around 11:30. Very clean tanks and lots of viewing areas. We went on a Saturday and it started to get very crowded as the day went on. Recommended to get there at open. The plaza outside had a nice holiday set up from the Coca-Cola brand.

This year we had Georgia Resident Passes to the aquarium, and it was such an amazing experience! We got to go about 5 times this year and we had a blast. The Georgia aquarium is very peaceful, clean, educational, and entertaining! Each time I went I got great value from my time there. It’s a must-visit when you’re in Atlanta! The only thing I wish the aquarium had is more food options. The cafe consists of things like chicken tenders, sandwiches, pizza, etc. I would love to see some additional options for those with dietary restrictions and perhaps other types of cuisines as well. Regardless, it’s always a fun time - I just prefer to eat a good lunch nearby before going in.

We enjoyed our day at the Aquarium. Many shows to see and things to do. The dolphin show was my favorite, and the Harbor seal experience is a must. They have a cafe and a few gift shops. They have everything from sharks to whales to blow fish and alligators. Sea turtles were the biggest I've ever seen in person. It's definitely an experience for the entire family. Tickers can start at $47.00 and go up, so plan ahead of time for a smoother experience. Also I recommend arriving early for parking so that you can experience all they have. It will definitely take you almost an entire day to see everything.

Amazing aquarium! Took about 3 hours to get through everything, during a weekday and not too busy. $20 for all day parking in the garage attached to the aquarium, I would recommend finding street parking which is much cheaper or even free. Easy to purchase tickets ahead of time. Aquarium is split up into multiple different environments with associate animals. Tons of huge tanks to see all kinds of creatures. They have food available and a gift shop. Wish they had generic shirts for cheap but they start around $35. Enjoyed our time and will come back with friends and family.

A terrific experience. Viewing the exhibits is more fun when you can see and experience the awe in the little ones. Yes, it is swarming with kids, all in some crazed state. However, once you start seeing this foreign world in detail, you will be acting like a child too. Pro tip #1 Unless you get a package, buy tickets online the day before and save $5 per ticket. #2 Get to the visitor’s desk right away and scan the code to reserve time on the live shows. These are included with the admission. Do show up early for a nice seat. #3 The splash seats are clearly marked. Sit on those and prepare to be soaked. Overall, the aquarium is a treasure not to be missed.

This aquarium was a great experience. I came here on a Tuesday morning . It was not crowded at all . I do recommend buying tickets in advance . I got a discount through my job . If you are active or retired military personnel you are eligible for a discount as well. The aquarium is broken up into different sections . It took around 2-3 hours to cover the whole aquarium. They are shows as well other interaction things to do here .The staff were very knowledgeable which I loved and the facility is kept is great condition. I truly had a great time .

Such an amazing place! The exhibits are so well done with loads of viewing space. The staff are all very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions that are not answered by the well done displays. If you get a chance, definitely do the Behind the Seas Tour. It was fantastic! The cafe has a good selection of snacks and lunch options. They are a bit more expensive than other attractions we have been to, but tasted good and were filling portions.

We had a blast here. I was expecting mediocre based on some of the reviews, but it was so above and beyond. All of the exhibits were fantastic. We got to see whale sharks being fed and so much more. We did see the dolphin show and we're pleasantly surprised that it was short and sweet. We love somewhere that we have been shown dolphin shows since elementary school field trips and this was so much better than those. Really really glad we went

I love the Aquarium! I have visited several times and enjoyed each time. It’s amazing and educational. It is great for kids or even a fun date. If visiting on a holiday be there early. The dolphin show is awesome but fills up quickly. Get your tickets as soon as you get in. The handicap chairs are first come first serve. It’s in a great area and there is tons of places to eat around the aquarium.

We had the best experience. Thanks to other reviews we knew to go as soon as they opened and I'm glad we did. By 1pm it was impossible to walk around. The lines for food were very long after 11am. The gift shop staff was amazing and extremely friendly. Our daughter was picked to go on stage for the dolphin show and she will never forget it. Thank you for that beautiful memory! While the exhibits are amazing to see I feel the friendly staff made the experience even better.

I see why many producers used this aquarium in their movies! It is absolutely a beautiful place to be. To see so many of the marine life is just amazing. The views are breathtaking. Just try to go when the crowd isn’t heavy which can be tricky. Parking is around the area but be mindful of special events days as the prices double. Buy your tickets in advance too.

This place is AMAZING!!! Educational, Ethical, and BEAUTIFUL!!! Whale Sharks Manta Rays, dolphins, AND SO MUCH MORE!! Just stay here and don't bother doing the World of Coca Cola (waste). I am skeptical about aquariums and zoos but I've researched their ethics and they are top notch, again, WHALE SHARKS. We'd love to go again!! And probably will, SUSTAIN.

Loved all the exhibits & the shows were great. Wish I had known there would be a whole school full of noisy kids there, though. They were rude, loud, & obnoxious. Also, when I purchased my friends ticket, whose birthday it was, I didn't know she would be free until we got there. Now, I'm told, no refunds! So I'm stuck with a ticket I don't need. They need to make some exceptions. I mean, WHY have a refund department if you don't DO refunds?

Hands down, without a doubt, the best Aquarium I've ever been to. I wish I lived closer so I could take my son here all the time. You fully get your money's worth here. Don't take a trip to ATL without stopping by here. My one year old lost his mind here when he could care less about seeing a lion up close at the zoo.

Absolutely loved this aquarium. It has a great variety of fish and other animals. A bit crowded around dinner but plenty of opportunities to be up and close with the different exhibits. The dolphin show was excellent and all the animals look healthy and happy. The holiday decorations were also a great touch.

This place is awesome!! They say to give yourself a few hours to see everything, but I could be here for the entire day and still find something interesting to look at. With a half dozen different areas with numerous exhibits within each, there's plenty to see. I'll have to return one day to try swimming with the whale shark!

Always wonderful! Worth every penny! Best aquarium I have ever seen in the US. Go and take the kids and plan to stay for 3-4 hours at least. Definitely buy tickets a day or two in advance or even several more if it’s a holiday weekend. It’s timed entry. Can be busy and hard to get in if you wait to last minute on a weekend.
