After desperately looking for a mechanic who could fix our air suspension on 3 of our cars and wouldn't require us to take out a 2nd bond just to pay the repairs, Dwayne van Tonder commented on my Facebook post where I was looking for recommendations... Dwayne assisted me with an issue with a dealership that was taking advantage of me and selling me a stuffed car, he helped me sort it out and cancel everything without them getting away with almost illegal actions AND then assisted with putting me in touch with the right people for a new car, helped with explaining everything that I didn't understand and today, I have my brand new car and couldn't be happier. Not only are they super professional and REALLY good with vehicle repairs and services, they are really nice people to do business with and are super honest and very affordable! I took my car here today after a recommendation from someone I know after struggling to find a decent mechanic worth the money spent. From the moment you walk in you are treated with such respect and kindness from Megan who explains all the processes to you, which was refreshing for someone who most people would only see as a receptionist of sorts. Megan's sweet and kind nature put me at ease leaving my car at a new place and ensured that she would contact me with any and all information regarding my car and not once seemed to get annoyed with my constant messages. When getting my car Megan walked me through what work was done on my car and even got one of the mechanics to come and explain and show me the work done that she couldn't explain. They go above and beyond with their customer service, as well as repairs done to your car. They were even gracious enough to recommend a panel beater for me as well to fix a minor clip breakage on my bumper. Work done on my car: - minor service - securing of my steering wheel cover - replacing of stabilizers Would definitely recommend them to everyone I know that needs work on their cars and will definitely use them all the time from now on. AMAZING !!

My son's engine light keeps coming on, even though it was serviced at Gorilla Pit approx 6 weeks ago. Upon taking it back there, they managed to turn the engine light off and got told that he needs new mountings in the front as well as shock absorbers. Their quote was approx R13,000. After getting a quote from SupaQuick for the same job for R6,900 I took his car to SupaQuick. Their work was cheaper and quicker than Gorilla Pit. One day later my son's engine light came on again, after Gorilla Pit said there was nothing wrong!! Now, both my oldest son and my sister take their vehicles to Gorilla Pit and they're both happy with the service, so I'm not here to knock Gorilla Pit, but their treatment of my younger son's vehicle leaves a lot to be desired!! Make of this what you will, but I won't be taking my own vehicle there any time soon.

The people are all very friendly and personable and I appreciate that. However my dash board light still is not working after taking it in twice. There was also a lot of up and downs of me bringing the car back and there were times I was told to come first thing in the morning and I came in and was told to come back later or even the following day, a simple message at that point would have worked a lot better. Overall I just feel a bit duped by spending R4K on the service and now I will need to take it to another place to fix the dashboard light. I just hope that they did a better job on my actual engine, oil filter, spark plugs and gear box than what they did on the dashboard light

Drove in for diagnosis on a weird sound my car had been making. This was about two weeks prior to me taking my car in for repairs. The diagnosis, which was free, pointed to a broken engine mount. I was provided with a quote for the repair and didn't take it up immediately. I finally did call in and book my car for repairs. They honored their quote from previous visit, repairs were completed timeously and the car now seems better than before I took it in. Friendly people at this place, with good knowledge and very helpful. To top it off, got a free car wash out of it. Definite recommendation for your car needs.

Outstanding service! From entering to getting your car fixed, it was an absolutely smooth experience. These guys's honesty is so rare these days and they are nothing like every other workshop on the block that will just try and take your money.... Bradley fixed an oil leak on my vehicle and explained to me everything in detail. Having the feeling that your car will be looked after as their own is something you don't find very often, and they did not dissapoint. Definitely recommended and certainly the place to go if your car needs to be serviced/repaired. For sure my go to from now onwards.

I was very happy with the service received, I took my older model Renault here for a general major service, and I was very impressed. Awesome efficient service, was kept up to date with progress, great attention to detail! The car has not gone so well in years and was immaculately clean. I can honestly say I am highly impressed and would recommend the Gorilla Pit. Like for like they absolutely cream even the dealerships I have been to before. Quality mechanics that are trustworthy and who take such pride in their work are truly hard to find so I am very happy to have given them a chance.

Absolutely great experience, fantastic service from Cathy at reception to Dwayne and George who went as far as collecting and dropping off my Renault for me. Breaking down the invoice so I could understand exactly what it is they were doing and why they were doing it. Was so impressed that my fiance also took his Audi there for its service and they picked up things that we would never have noticed that will help us long term. I shopped around for a major service after my car went out of warranty. Started by calling the dealership to get a quote and got transferred 3 times without getting hold of any service advisor. No return call. Then I called Gorilla Pit and got an estimate and a booking within half a minute of the receptionist picking up the phone. Major service completed with no major hassles. Progress updates on WhatsApp. Car washed. And even did minor light wiring fixes that the dealer was quoting an arm and a leg for at no extra cost. Superior customer service.

Avoid if possible, took our car in to get work done and all seemed good got it back a couple days later and still has issues so return it to get fixed takes a couple more days. Get it back once more still has an issue so we return it again finally the initial all was good but after a bit of driving and a trip to Limpopo the sump plug falls out and excuses immediately come out of Thier mouths. Ignorant staff that always think they are better and clearly can't even tighten a bolt properly. Avoid Avoid Avoid!

These guys are awesome and truly passionate about cars. I was at the end of my rope with my car constantly having rear light issues. Megan the receptionist was super friendly and reassuring. I came in the afternoon during lunch so there weren't many staff around but Brad helped me fix my issue in under an hour even going as far as doing some extra work just to make sure the fault was absolutely fixed. Really amazing work and I'll definitely be recommending them

The guys at the Gorilla Pit really excelled and I experienced fast and friendly service. They communicated frequently and clearly and the work was completed on-time, as per quote and without any comeback. Megan and Dwayne made it all easy. My car got towed to gorilla pit after I hit a curb and damaged my wheel. Although they don’t fix wheels they did everything they could to try and help me even though they were very busy at that time , I got my car back the same day as they managed to assist me free of charge … definitely recommend this business as they are extremely professional and really care about helping their clients
