My family and I cannot thank Felipe Caballero and his staff enough for the guidance, support, and compassion they gave us . Our beloved mother passed very suddenly and needless to say making so many decisions when we are the most vulnerable it’s hard … and unfortunately there are other funeral homes that all they care is about the extra buck they are going to make … our family from out of state(s) inquired around the Miami area to different funeral homes about services and prices …. The only one that stood out from even the phone conversations was Graceland … Andrea and Alejandro are so caring , even with their tone of voice … This was our first time having to prepare funeral services for a loved one. We sat down with Felipe and explained our circumstances to him . Felipe took the TIME to break down everything in an way that we understood. His caring heart impressed us … he reassured us he was going to take great care of our mom which meant the world to us ..he wrote down details that were meaningful to us ..We were so impressed with the work they did .. my mom looked great … they truly pay attention to details.. If I could give them 100 stars I would .. Thank you Felipe, Andrea, and Alejandro .. you guys were such a blessing to our entire family during such a difficult time .

I just want to thanks Felipe and his team for making this hard moment been much easier. I live in Louisiana and had been traveling to Miami this year almost every month due to my father 's terminal cancer illness. Meet with Felipe after his last surgery on August 2022 to be prepared for his funeral, we talked and discussed how it was going to be. I arrived at Miami on December 20th in the morning and my father passed away in the afternoon. I called Felipe and he answered immediately telling me what to do. He sent his crew to pick up my father in least than an hour We met next morning for final arrangements Everything was done as we had discussed back on August no hidden fees or changes. During the whole process Felipe and his team were very professional and respectful answering the phone every time I called them even to Felipe's cell phone. I highly recommend them for your family funeral arrangements not only for them being professional, respectful and humble but also for being honest and not taking advantage of your hard situation something that is really rare to find in Miami nowadays. When my mother in law was in hospice early this year we started to plan for funeral service arrangements. I called different places and Graceland was the only one that provided reasonable quote. Andrea was very helpful and professional. She explained lots of things I didn't know. The end of the year my mother in law passed away and when the hospital asked if I had funeral services I was glad that I didn't have to start calling or looking for places. I already knew who I was going to call. It was pretty late at night and Mr. Felipe answered and told us not to worry that they will send someone to hospital in 90 mins or less to pick the corpse. He was assuring and made me feel relaxed that all was taken care of. The next day we had a meeting and met with Andrea again it was very relaxing and loving how they not only honored the quote they bettered it. Andrea was very helpful ,professional and caring. She took care of everything with the burial site made sure we had all the information and it went smoothly. We deeply appreciated what they have done. I recently found myself in the position of having to take care of funeral arrangements for a loved one who passed away. In the mist of all sadness God put Graceland Funeral and his director Felipe in my way. He personally became available to the entire family 24 hours a day while we decided on a specific package. He personally went to our home to accommodate us, explained everything in detail with grace and compassion. His staff is just as accommodating and understanding of the difficult time we were going though. He will work with you on prices and even payment plans if necessary, to make sure you and those close to you and the deceased focus on supporting each other and mourning instead of stressing through this particular necessary step of final arrangements. I recommend Felipe and Graceland Funeral Homes 100%, like us, I am sure that by the end of the process you will feel as if you gained a true friend and family member, and that is very comforting given the circumstances that took you there in the first place.

Mr. Caballero is respectful and professional, but he has the nastiest staff I have ever met in my life. At my fathers funeral last year, Millie and another woman (I really wish I remembered her name,) made me cry multiple times because they YELLED at me at my dads funeral. They arranged the time the priest was to come incorrectly, after we told all our family to come for the service at 7. When we were faced with the situation, they were extremely defensive. Their solution was to yell at each other, and my GRIEVING FAMILY over the error (In front of all our guests.) It was learned later that the two do not get along, and brought their personal problems to work. It was a complete disgrace to my father. Mr. Caballero happened to be out of town that weekend, so I don't believe it's his fault. He kindly refunded us for the service, but if these two women still work there, I cannot recommend this place. It was not worth the pain and humiliation.

Las razones por la que los escogí fue porque solamente velan una persona a la vez (algo muy privado), otra razón es que tienen su propio crematorio. Me permitieron maquillar a mi mamá y tambièn verla una última vez antes de cremarla. El proceso ha sido muy ràpido. Menos de una semana desde que mami falleciò y ya se hizo todo, velorio y cremaciòn. Ellos hacen muy buen trabajo, pero tambièn depende de la ayuda de la familia de la persona fallecida, por ejemplo, la firma del doctor, a veces los doctores se demoran mucho en firmar los papeles y el proceso por parte de la funeraria se demora, ya eso no depende de la funeraria, creo que los familiares son los que deben agilizar esa parte del proceso. We used Graceland's services on 05/2017. I can tell you that -while I did not enjoy being there- they made a terrible situation easier on my family and I. On their website it states excellence, empathy, and professionalism. I can attest to all three. He was very fair with pricing and assisted us in every possible way. Felipe Caballero, the funeral director, is amazing and made the unbearable time of saying goodbye to our mother a little more bearable. He answered my call and in an hour, there were two men at our home to pick up my mother's body. The day we met with him to make all the arrangements, everything was smooth and simple. He allowed us to pick and choose what we wanted on that day and the day of the burial and didn't push anything on us. Those days were so difficult but he keeps everything so clean and well organized and only one viewing and family at a time that we truly felt it was comfortable for us to be with our family and friends to mourn. The final day of the burial also was so well organized that there were no problems, even the police officers he hired and that lead us to the cemetery did a great job. We were very pleased with everything and would highly recommend Graceland and Felipe.

On January 12, 2016 my late father John Wollack suddenly passed away. I called around to get information for a cremation service. Losing a parent is any child's nightmare. Going into this, I had no idea what to do or where to start. Every single person who works here is knowledgeable, attentive, and most of all empathetic. They understand you are going through a difficult time and they move mountains to make you feel comfortable. I had so many questions and they answered each and every one of them with respect and kindness. They also go out of their way to treat your loved one (who has moved on) with the utmost dignity and respect. They understand that those that have passed mean a lot to their family. My grandmother who I cared for on my own passed away in June and unfortunately I was not fully prepared. With a previous bad experience at another funeral home I was very worried but Felipe Caballero was understanding, caring and honest. All cost were exactly as he said they would be and services provided exactly as discussed. The location is also well kept and with just 1 viewing view it offers privacy for the families but still very spacious. I was also very pleased with how my grandmother looked, the makeup and hair were done well. They even helped me put on her jewelry the day of the service which I had forgotten to drop off before. I can not say enough good things and would 100% recommend them.

Felipe and his team are absolutely incredible! I flew in from Hawaii and my dad unfortunately passed away. I was on a very tight schedule and needed to fly back home asap. Felipe explained the entire process from start to finish and how to bring my dad's ashes back with me. He was able to guide me on how to expedite the process. The funeral director treated us with kindness, also at no time was he taking advantage of us being in mourning with pricing. This funeral home had one of the best pricing for direct cremation. Their prices were around a thousand dollars less than the other funeral homes.
