I appreciate my doctor who I've been a client of for many years and she gets 5 stars; as does Dr. Nassim who I saw briefly for an issue. However, the GFMC office administration could use some improvement. When I call during their opening hours which is misleading because they turn the phones on at 9am, not at 8am, I get a "this person is not taking calls at this moment." Sometimes, I get to the answering machine and the 4 options, then I'm usually put in a queue but there's no predictability Call times and results: 9:00am: "This person is not taking calls at this moment." 11:15am: I tried to call again. Same problem. 1:45pm: Same problem. 2:25pm: Same problem. They really need to fix their phone problems. This is happening because their phone can only hold a certain number of people in the queue. Once that threshold (>8) is achieved, any person calling receives this message. I do not know if this is a common issue with medical clinics across the city but it is frustrating even not to be put into a queue in the first place. I'm going to speak to the office manager and request that they come up with another solution because this is unacceptable. We should not have to call multiple times a day with no waiting in queue. I'm fine with queues as I get medical clinics are busy, not so much with the "this person is not taking calls at this moment." Phone times should also be expanded so all office hours are covered. Extra phones should be purchases and new reception staff should be hired. An online booking and cancelation system set up; they have a results program which is great.these changes would make a world of difference.

Jumped at the chance as a patient to get into this excellent family practice when a new doctor saw my mother while covering for Dr. Bloom. I immediately inquired if Dr Lozano’s practice was still open as she was so new and not only signed myself up but advised my sister, her husband and my son to call before she was fully booked. Having worked with several of these doctors in the past in TOH I was well aware of the excellent reputation this Medical Center has amongst their peers including any specialists they refer to. It goes without saying any new MD they bring into the practice will be equally good as their standards are very high and raise the bar for all physicians. Also while having your own doctor, there is a doctor there every evening to see patients ( ONLY by appointment) that could not be fit into their own doctors day if symptoms require being seen ASAP and I feel very confident in whoever sees me as my info is available to them at the time. The clerical and nursing staff are excellent and while some patients may have a long waiting period believe me it’s worth your time. The waits are strictly due to its being a UofO teaching centre which means every MD there must be on top of their game when it comes to current medical practice. While Dr. Bloom was kind enough to take my late mother on as a professional courtesy a long time ago it still took me many years to get myself into this much sought after group of physicians. Dr. Lozano is everything I expected her to be and more. As a retired nurse I’d recommend Greenboro Family Medicine to anyone!

My partner had an appointment at 10:15 am and was finally brought in the room at 11:15, only to still have to wait. I completely understand at the end of the day or whenever that things get delayed and occasionally you can’t stay on schedule. However, if you open at 9am how can you be already running an hour late by 10:15? Apparently a significant wait happens with every appointment and has for years. I’m sure the doctors and receptionists and staff are trying their best and likely there are some things they can’t control. Perhaps a 30 minute wait is reasonable, but more than an hour? It feels pretty disrespectful of people’s time and weird that you wouldn’t have even sorted it out by now if it’s happened for years. I’m sure solutions are out there. Spread out appointments? Keep a rigorous schedule? Text system to tell people it’s delayed? I saw the receptionist tell a elderly woman and a woman with a small child the wait times who were equally discouraged. It’s fine for us in our 20s to hangout for more than an hour, but a toddler? Plus the chairs are not comfy enough for an hour long wait haha! Furthermore, my partner was dialling the office on three different phones phones to make sure he got an appointment. Is there not a perhaps better system than a patient feeling desperate and having to get creative to secure an appointment? A little creativity and problem solving could go a long way in improving the experience of patients! Thanks for reading this

this is quite literally the worst medical clinic in the entire city if not the entire province. You need a VIP booking to see your own family doctor , several months in advance, if you try to book online with their new booking system, you’ll get an EMAIL that your appointments been cancelled with zero explanation or phone call follow up. appointments are rushed as most reviews have stated- my family doctor is lovely but the other staff at the front desk are horrendous. they are always grumpy and seem bothered if you try to ask questions. you’re always spoken to in a condescending tone & if you call at any time of the day (even as soon as 9am when their phone line supposedly opens up) you won’t get a response. if u do which is like winning the lottery, they’ll tell u there are no apps and to hang up and call back another day for a same day appointment? how the hell does that make sense lmfao……. i cannot even IMAGINE having my childs pediatrician at this clinic because i’d quite literally go insane. the horrible management of this clinic has caused me to see other doctors thru my husbands insurance for the past year because mines apparently too busy based on what the receptionists say. this is LITERAL neglect and not okay whatsoever. people have tolerated this for way too long. something has to change stat.

Unbelievably unimpressed with this clinic. Scheduled a vaccination appointment for our 2 month old for 10:30am. They finally took us into a room at 11:15am. Around 11:30am, the doctor finally comes in and begins to ask a round of absolutely useless questions for 20 minutes. Questions included: Do you have a car seat for your two month old? Do you have a Hot Water Tank at home? Have you capped electrical sockets in your home? Does your baby cry often? You know you can’t leave your baby in the sun right? I can understand why they would ask some questions, but you’re a doctor and not Children’s Aid Society. Also, if you are 45 minutes late, have an ounce of self awareness that a 2 month old baby may be getting fussy because of your lack of keep appointment times. Horrendous service from reception and this ‘doctor.’ If it was easier to find family doctors right now, I would switch immediately. Edit (July 10th, 2023): SO insulting when your nurses roll their eyes and say “let’s get this over with” when your 1 yr old toddler has been waiting over an hour to get 3 vaccines, and then cries during the injections. This place is UNBELIEVABLE.

Utterly disappointing! It's impossible to get hold of the doctor's office. when I did, it was another 6 weeks of waiting for a 15 min call with my doctor. There are other practitioners to speak to, which defeats the purpose having multiple doctors at one location? The alternatives are telehealth and community walk-in clinics, which is to take resources reserved for those in needs. @GFMC, here are some ideas for improvements: consider hire more receptionists, upgrade your phone system, opt for new IT infrastructure so patients can reach you online or by email, install a voice mail! Update: since my last review four months ago, the clinic had completely shut down. if you call, you get three options: business hours, refill a prescription, and cancel an appointment. for any options you choose, you get instructions and a promise that they won't call you back. you can walk in to book an appointment?!?! Can't imagine how challenging this would be for people who are terribly ill and have mobility problems.

  • Peter szanto

I had booked a physical a year ago and they cancelled that booking and rescheduled me for a year from now. I shouldn't have to wait a year for a standard medical consultation let alone two. There is a disgusting lack of disregard for peoples health built into their operating standards. They didn't see this as being problematic that I have no idea where my health baseline stands... My doctor went on maternity leave, that is fine, life happens -- but an organization has the ethical responsibility to make people's health a priority. There are other doctors in the building who should want to honour that rough timeframe. I'm not that picky, 3 months would have even been fine. They provide less attention, followup and care than a walk-in clinic. Stay clear of them

  • Jeff Salvail

My complaint is with the system, not with the people, who are great if only you get a chance to talk to them. I cannot get in touch with the office, the phone lines are never answered and there is no way (that I know of) to reach the office by email. I had an appointment, I was never given information (PIN) on how to log in to the system. I got an email saying my appointment was cancelled. Then on the day of, I got an email saying they couldn’t get a hold of me. All these messages were automated from a “no reply” address and I had no opportunity to respond, ask questions, rebook, at all. Is there anyone there? I’m not technically incompetent, I can’t imagine how someone of an older generation would figure out this system.

My family and I ( 3 young kids) received a letter from Dr. Erica stating she's booting us off her roster after 37 years. Although, she only took on Dr. Bloom's roster in March and were now June. She also booted my elderly father who has CLL ( an active medical issue) however, her letter states " ones with active issues are an exception". Also, to top all this off my husband also received the letter being booted off her roster yet she's not his family doctor at Greenboro. Talk about unprofessional and adding more unneeded stress. What horrible treatment of patients when we're trusting our health in her hands.Dr. Bloom treated his patients with such compassion and care. It's unfortunate Dr. Bloom left her his roster.

We have been patients of Dr. Fellegi at the Greenboro Family Medicine Centre for approximately eight years now, and we could not be happier with the clinic’s services. The ability to get same day or weekend appointments, and to see a doctor so promptly has been incredible. All of the staff are kind, thoughtful, and compassionate, from the reception area to all of the doctors on staff. While we have seen many criticisms of the wait times, it is important to remember that the current COVID-19 context has placed additional strain on all health care providers. Thank you for all that you do for your patients, Greenboro Family Medicine Centre. You are amazing, and we feel so lucky to be your patients!

  • Catherine Lemay

My family (husband and two young children) have been patients of the Greensboro Family Medicine Clinic for many years. They are incredible! Dr. Fellegi always takes all the time necessary during every appointment. At times there are slight waits, but that’s completely understandable given how attentive this clinic is and the waits pale in comparison to what we have experienced elsewhere. From the support staff to the nursing staff, we have always been served in the best possible way. From weekend appointments to newly instigated phone appointments, we couldn’t be happier with all services we’ve received to date. Keep up the great work, Greenboro Family Medicine Clinic!

  • Josette Louli-Matheson

The Doctors are great. Yes, it's hard to get through to the office, but it just requires some patience. If you were a clinic with 10+ Dr's, expect the lines to be busy!! Call, press 4, and then just wait your turn. I have not found the receptionist rude- lots of turnover- but never rude or impatient. It depends on what you need in a Dr. I have been with the clinic almost from the start - with Dr's Bloom, Yachnin and Tobin! Just them at first. Now you have a family clinic that can handle all levels of care. I am thankful to be part of this clinic with my whole family. And why 4 * instead of 5....because we are all human, and imperfect. This clinic gets a High 4!!!

  • Ralph Colbeck

EDIT: I just learned that my appointment was cancelled again and again without communication. I have been a patient for 35 years yet their system discriminates against the deaf people. There is no way to contact anyone in case of emergency. They refuse to provide other means of contact other than office telephone which is extremely hard to get through for a deaf person. My appointment was switched to telephone call but I am deaf and cannot answer the phone. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO CONTACT ANYONE. I am having a health crisis. Mental health crisis and they kept cancelling my appointments. Rescheduling is a challenging and takes a toll on my health.

  • Rylee Mayer

I have now been calling since 11am, the phone service said there would be a lunch between 12-1:30. It’s 1:35 your phone lines are still closed. I do not go to the doctors office much but I cannot breathe after having covid and the last time I needed a nasal spray. This level of treatment and a lunch break between 11am - past 1:30 now is beyond unprofessional and unacceptable. Looks like I’m trying again and then going to apple tree. Absolutely unprofessional someone sick should be able to rest and not be required to wake up at the crack of dawn for a appointment, if you have this many patients where this is a issue someone’s doing something wrong.

  • jedwa3

The doctors are fine in my experience but getting ahold of anyone in the office is near impossible for both patients AND OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS!! Their phones are open for a couple hours in the morning and a couple in the afternoon and that roughly 4 hours is about all you'll get. Called before noon (about 11:40) and they're closed. Called 20 after 1 and they're still closed. That's QUITE the lunch break. UPDATE: I have been able to get through during hours not listed on Google and that was more then convenient. I have moved it from 1 star to 2. Once the Google/website hours are updated I'll happily make it 3+

  • Adam Al-kadri

I have been a patient at the Greenboro Family Medicine Centre for over 32 years now. “Doctor” Erica Seccareccia sent her patients (my wife and 3 young kids) a letter to complete on whether we want to stay with her practice once she took over from Dr. Bloom. We signed said letter and a few months later we were “randomly selected” that she is unable to continue as our family physician. “Doctor” Erica you messed up your selection. Your letter clearly states clients with active medical issues. Are seizures (Diagnosed epilepsy) not actively medical enough for you.

  • K M

My family has been going to this clinic for 9 years and we’ve been very happy! The staff, our Dr. and on-call emerg Drs. have been wonderful. Like all other clinics, they are at capacity, and more understanding should be provided by others who have left reviews on the topics of phone calls being answered. We’ve never had an issue getting through, but sometimes it takes a moment with many other patients trying to have their needs addressed as well. Bedside manners are beyond reproach, and the sincerity of care is irrefutable.

  • Anna Belanger

I feel very blessed to not only have an amazing doctor for me and my family, but access to other doctors on call when needed. Our family has been well cared for since 2010. Yes, the phone lines can be a pain to get through, but it's because the demand is there! I can appreciate how hard they are all working ( especially since the pandemic) and am grateful for their expertise and value the commitment they have to our community. Thank you Dr. Nassim and thank you to the entire staff at Greenboro!

  • Samantha Graham

I have been coming here since I was born (2000). In the last two years, it is impossible to get ahold of the office as the line is always busy, and front desk aren't accommodating to needs. The phone line cuts out and hangs up on you, leaving you to wait again on hold. I have not had a check-up appointment in three years as it is deemed, "unnecessary". Phone appointments are always late and last only a couple of minutes, to which I have to reschedule another appointment afterwards!

  • Elian Al-kadri

Ridiculous medical practice. Dr. Erica Seccaraccia kicked families out "at random" from her "roster" because she couldn't see everyone in a timely manner. So we're left in a middle of a doctor crisis looking for a family doctor....your literal job is to be a doctor and help us not to pick and choose who and when you want to see. What happened to do no harm? I've literally been there 30 years... and she hasn't been a doctor there for more then 2 years and I got this letter today.

  • B

Dear Greenboro: please improve my access to my doctor. Health is so dynamic. We need to be able to communicate changes more efficiently to get better healthcare outcomes. It's been a real struggle for me and clearly for so many others. I don't like getting frustrated as much as the receptionist doesn't want to deal with frustration. There's only so much zenning out that is possible. Sincerely and Kindly, Ben

  • TJ May

Great care. Terrible admin and office staff. Our Dr. Is great, however we can hardly ever get ahold of the drs office for help. As a new mom this has been unsettling when you can't get ahold of your dr for your child. My son likely has an ear infection and I have called 100 times with our even getting on their line since 9:01 am it's 9:15 am and I have not even gotten to a robot voice. Absolutely not okay

  • Nathan Bridger

worst doctors office for answering and booking appointments, they are blinded by the day and cant see further then the day they have woken up to. ive been calling all week at 855 to hopefully get on the line when they open at 9.... NOPE good luck ive been calling for 10 minutes getting the offcie is closed blah blah blah... ITS 9 AM HOW CAN YOU BE LATE TO WORK ! about to go look for a new doctor

  • kati

Highly reccomend Dr Tobin. He is wonderful doctor who genuinely shows he cares about hia patients. He is very knowledgable and as he specialized in mental health, it was great having him take me on as a patient as he took the time to get me on the correct medication and always followed up when other doctors filled out the script and sent me on my way. Dr Lozano is great too.

  • Leave-the song Eros

I truly wouldn’t recommend going here , unprofessional doctors (I went to two different ones that work there) that don’t want to help you, rush your appointment, hid documents from me until it was too late and completely ignore the reason of the appointment. I’ve never in 24 years witness something like this. I just hope others don’t have the same problem.

  • Jared Losier

Hoping to save others some time. The current times seem to be incorrect, as I think they close by 4PM on some days (at least that is what the answering machine indicates). Not accepting new patients, and apparently no wait-list. Just hoped to save other people some time. 3 stars because apparently they don't seem to update any of their online presence.

  • SJ

My daughter's doctor is fantastic but to make an appointment or speak to anyone at the office is a nightmare. Be prepared for long wait times on hold or not being able to get through at all for long periods of time. 3.25 hours on hold so far over the past 2 days in order to get one question answered & today they are closed...it is 1pm on a Wednesday.

  • Amber Dodge

Reception is terrible. Not only do you wait on the phone at times for 45 mins to book an appointment, but when you are there in person the people at the desk appear very rude and unhelpful. Irritated when asked simple questions regarding prescriptions or referrals. Doctors and nurses are great but Office needs to switch to online booking system.

  • TrollSlayer INC

they are inconsistent with there hours (Closed at 2pm on a day they are supposed to be open till 5pm) they also dont return your calls even if your a patient. not to mention M. Yachnin is not really a great doctor and will give you the runaround & refuse to sign forms hes legally required to. IF YOU CAN GET ANOTHER DOCTORS OFFICE!

  • Danielle Vachon

This is a great clinic. Happy and lucky we are cared by them. Sometimes the phones are really busy, and you have to try several times to get into the call queue as it is set at 7, I think. But once you get in the queue, may take 5 to 10 mins to speak to receptionist. Once answered, service is great.

  • Yvonne Marshall

The clinic has taken great care of my family and me for many years! The physicians are caring and diligent. Great that there is now an online system to convey some results of tests and my physician's comments! The current support staff is very pleasant and helpful.

  • S Plesh

Been with Dr. Bloom for 20+ years. Was content at first but find now he just doesn't have the time for his patients. Even though you have to wait for a minimum of 1.5 hrs. after your appointment time to see him. Seems to think a pill will take your troubles away

  • Craig Dow

I like my doctor - but the clinic is impossible to get ahold of - often 10 to 15 minutes on hold - and I just tried booking an appointment and they're booking 4 to 5 weeks away for in person appointments. In this day and age, that's just too long.

  • Steve Tysick

Dr. Michael Yachnin and everyone at the clinic are the best, been with Dr Yachnin since the clinic began and I will always go there, I will travel 6 hours now from northern Ontario to attend my appointment. 10 stars to Greenboro Family Medicine.

  • Eduardo Rivero

Went to physio for a soccer injury that was keeping me away from playing and not only was able to recover but also was able to improve my balance and strength. Been a customer since 2013. Comfortable offices, great staff and excellent service.

  • TJ May

Horrible reception service. Good luck dealing with the weather, too, because they don't care- and will charge you for not being able to provide 24-hour cancellation. Horrible phone line. My Dr is good.

  • Laurie Helm

Sadly, with the "pandemic" it's almost impossible to call the office. Usually it's "the customer you have dialed is currently unavailable". It sometimes takes days to get through :(. Also, no email..

  • Ryan Mockett

Wonderful doctors and nurses here. The receptionists are fantastic at interacting with patients. Anyone looking for a family physician should see about getting one at this clinic. It is superb.

  • Carol Senos

Dr Yachnin and the Greenboro Family Medical Center staff are the best. Our family have been with the Center since it opened, over 30 years. We are very thankful for their ongoing support.

  • Hilda Albert

When you've been waiting an hour for your appointment and the Doctor tells you she doesn't have time to hear what problem you're having, book a follow up, not a good doctor.

  • Eddy Paul

Dr. Nicolette Fellegi is our Family Doctor and a wonderful person, trust her with our lives. Supporting staff is very friendly and personable. Keep up the good work!

  • Haze H

At first I was taken on by Dr Tobin from being a cheo patient I have a rare vasculites and Dr Tobin is not very knowledgeable in now going to be seeing a new Dr

  • brayden roe (brayo)

Why is it so hard to book appointments at this practice. Have a online booking service and you won’t have to worry about phone wait times being hours long.

  • Marty Nolasco

Right from the beginning I felt welcomed. The receptionist welcomed me and explained how everyone works together as a team at Greenboro Medical Centre.

  • Jason Juneau

The staff is pathetic. It's like dealing with 4 year olds, worst place to try and get any sort of healthcare. You're better off at a run down clinic

  • Soraya Bakhtiari

Very unfriendly environment. Not helping to make appointments, no desire to see the patients, do not care about patients

  • Corey Spalding

They have improved their operation, I have now been able to call in twice and get in the same day! Great turn around!

  • Gina Caruso

Incredibly disappointed in how I've been treated here. Can't even get a hold of the doctor or office anymore.

  • Art Rooney

I am blessed to be a patient of doctor Tobin and this office. They are great!

  • jeffrey latreille

  • Christina Hurley

Dr. Tobin is an amazing physician and a warm, kind and funny man.

  • Emily Greer

Doctor Tobin is MVP very attentive and caring of his patients.
