I am currently travelling up the east coast and I have used greyhound for the majority of my travel. Whilst travelling with greyhound I have found the regularity of the busses to be fantastic. I have also enjoyed the bus WiFi and the seat chargers. What I have found really disappointing with the greyhound busses so far have been the drivers. Most of the drivers I have come into contact with have been extremely rude and unkind to me. When I travelled to Sydney from Melbourne the driver held his hand up to me when I asked a question to check when the first stop was and refused to answer. This made me feel really sad and uncomfortable for the rest of the journey. I have come into contact with drivers who have shouted at passengers, thrown luggage on and off the busses and made inappropriate comments and jokes. I hate catching the bus now because of this. I feel the customer service from the drivers has been terrible and has made me feel like I am an inconvenience.

My niece from overseas booked a round trip Byron - Brisbane. On her trip back to Byron she realised she booked another Byron to Brisbane ticket. Greyhound refused to refund on a very obvious error. She bought another ticket but it is twice the time (4hrs) to get to Byron. I asked on her behalf if this is refundable as I can just drive her there. Greyhound refused to refund again. I asked if they can at least give a discount for her ticket which is $10 more than the original 2hr trip. Again they refused and has offered to consolation for a simple oversight. There has been no empathy whatsoever. I will never recommend greyhound to anyone ever again. Terrible lack of customer service

Unreliable with times and very unprofessional drivers. For instance, last Monday the bus departed 15 min late and when I asked the driver about the delay, I was verbally abused. The driver yelled at me that he was not going to answer my question and that I was insulting him. I remained calm and told him that it was a reasonable question. The driver answered me by yelling that he will not going to let me get on the bus.. Why??? Definitely abusing his power... I was very distressed and anxious thinking I was not going to make it to work... And this is only one of my unfortunate experiences with this company as I have to use its services twice a week.

Created an account just to leave this review. Booked a bus from Bundaberg to Toowoomba, and I was told I would arrive at Roma Street, Brisbane, and then connect to another service to take me to Toowoomba. The bus to Brisbane arrived late (which was avoidable) and, as a result, the connecting bus left without me. Tried to discuss the issue with a lady behind the counter and she was dismissive. Gave me a number to call but it was pointless. So, now I’m stranded in Brisbane for hours and this company couldn’t care less. 0/10, would not recommend. Better off going with their competitor, Murray’s.

I booked a bus from Surfers Paradise to Byron Bay and from Byron Bay to Roma st, Brisbane. I got to the destinations a lot faster than expected, so it was pretty good. BUT, BUT, the inside the bus was FREEZING. Especially on the way back from Byron after swimming at the beaches all day, the air-con was killing me. I don't know if the cold air was going to the driver's seat or not but I couldn't believe he thought that that freezing temperature was fine with all the passengers. Also, the bus from Byron and Brisbane didn't have Wi-Fi even though they said it did.

Easy to handl and a really good way to go with! When you stay long in australia thake the ticket like me for 45 days or more or less because you can go up and down when ever you like to. It is easy to book your tripp on your own and the bus drivers always nice to you and help you to go there where you lile to or to reach the hotel/hostel. If you take the night bus you have enough space and recharge points on your seat for usb. You also meet many people who go to the same place and make the same thi ks like you to have an nice tripp togheter.

Terminal lounge is very glum and not enough seats, leaving many travellers sitting on the ground throughout the area. Cafe has average coffee and good pre-made hot foods. Bathrooms are disgusting, the stench and visible unsanitary made me just wait for the next bathroom off the bus. The bus' have USB ports however they offered very minimal power (I gained 5% charge on my phone the whole time) there was wifi on my bus but I resorted to using my own data since it was incredibly slow. Interior of bus is cleaned and aircon, smooth ride ok value.

Average company .. the guides on board were rude and unhelpful . In fact u would call them downright rascist . The instructions on the bus were unclear. The bus dropped us off 10 mins from our hotel, saying u can walk back to yr hotel. The seat which I was sitting on was broken with no replacements.. Greyhound, you are in the customer service business. If this is how yr employees treat their customers u won't have too many left. We were on gold coast to Brisbane to Steve Irwin zoo yesterday . Check the people concerned and take action.

Yes it is unfortunate that this building is received as one of the ugliest in Brisbane. I think it works well servicing rail and bus commuters ... They really need to take inspiration from a Japanese train station and perhaps turn the upper levels into a mall . One of the problems I think is Brisbane is Brisbane is heavily concentrated shops and food retailers are all located in queen street and these businesses need to expand. The north bank development could have addressed this and Roma street could serve as a great hub for this.

Service itself is good although tighter rules need to be introduced to avoid multiple people on phones and general discourtisy with noise especially at night when some people have been picked up from Cairns and people board at another town further on and cause excessive noise problems while other passengers were trying to sleep!! Driver take charge may be an option! Greyhound still the best distance bus service even though we won't get on one again.

Their timetables have no relationship with reality. On average at least 30 minutes late. Booked a coach from Gold Coast to Brisbane Airport today, should have known better. No help at all from greyhound staff, didn't even announce the coach was late. Had to take an Uber from Roma Street to the Airport. I guess they might be OK for a backpacker who doesn't care too much, but not for time sensitive issues like a flight.

Drivers are all really friendly and trip from Byron to Brisbane was quick and trouble-free! I enjoy travelling with this company. However.. we were at the bus stop when a different bus to Brisbane via Gold Coast was leaving (think it was the dog father bus) and I thought the driver was actually pretty rude to the passengers. A shame as all the other ones I have come across have been lovely and friendly

I don't usually travel by bus but,I though this time I like to do something different so hope on bus call premier I enjoy it met few people so some towns not bad at all and the drivers friendly and kept us safe and I don't know how they do it is long hours and to be to focus on driving!I'll take my hat to them, and their keeps their jobs, good on u guys!

  • Mara Thiele

Such a good way of traveling from one city to the other! I enjoyed every rode on the greyhound because of all the friendly bus drivers! Some of them were joking all the time, some just gave us some good information about places but all of them were just nice and seemed to have fun in their jobs! Please do not hesitate to book a ticket with the greyhound!

I know Coach travel is not for everyone but my experience recently Brisbane to Melbourne return by Greyhound was enjoyable The Coaches were modern and clean with plenty of legroom and large windows and plenty of storage space The cost was very affordable and check in staff in Brisbane were very friendly The drivers were also very professional

  • Christopher Marinko

Enter through the Roma Street station, walk through the gates and walk straight through. Take lift or escalator to Level G and there you have the coach bus stops. Not the most straight forward on Google maps but there are always staff around so ask if you feel unsure. Arrive 30min early incase you get a bit lost :)

I had trips from Toowoomba to Australia Zoo and Australia Zoo to Sydney which both stopped in Brisbane. Great service and bus drivers each time. Clean bus and friendly people. Great price for traveling around state or country. I will be using Greyhound again for my travels here in Australia and in The States.

  • Richard Haynes

The bus arrived 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time without any audible or visible announcement being made to the passengers waiting. The bus is covered in advertising limiting the view out the window. Should’ve gone with Murrays: similar frequency and same price.

  • Anthony Lingard

Bus from Brisbane to Toowoomba made an unscheduled stop in Gatton (no mention of this in the ticket or booking online. And no mention in the terms and conditions). Bus left Brisbane late and arrived in Toowoomba 35 minutes later than scheduled. Just go with Murrays

  • Alison Smith

Toilet situation at Roma Street disgraceful. Bus area toilets closed at weekend necessitating patrons to take lift to different storey. Very bad impression for Commonwealth Games visitors. Toilets old and outdated and low level of cleanliness. Should be condemned.

  • Donni Desantis

I took a bus to mt isa which was a very long drive from Brisbane. The drivers were friendly and helpful and we had more then enough stops for meal breaks and to stretch our legs. The bus was clean and comfortable. I had a pleasant experience. Thank you

  • Bibiana Vargas

Pretty good service although I have travelled on 2 buses that leaked when it rained! I literally got soaked and had to change seats. The toilets on the bus are old aswell. I think Greyhound needs to do better with MAINTENANCE.

  • Enid Ninnes

On bus 14 6 19 No indication on stop 125 that it was Connection to Noosa very confusing with bus arriving 1.15 .No phone no on letter received if help needed. Tell customers busstop is in street not in transit lounge.

  • Travis Ahmann

Terribly rude drivers 4/5 of my bus trips. They would kick my bag, threaten to kick anybody off the bus multiple times and sarcasm was their way of communicating... I would not recommend using greyhound to anybody.

  • Anthony Doupain

thanks greyhound due to incompetence we rushed 45mins to the city paid more then a courier and told our xmas parcels would be able to be picked up the day before xmas only to find out that their closed :-/

  • Peter Burton

Nothing wrong with Greyhound bus, but the whole travel centre needs a cleanup and a coat of paint. It's as old and grubby as Inala is. Not a great image for anyone out of state and passing through.

CQ services - Excessively late all the time. Most drivers are sub-standard, decent ones are far and few between. Buses often smell foul. Definitely would not recommend.

  • Danielle McConnell

Great drivers, service and reasonable prices. Final destination normally earlier then estimated time. USB charging at every seat. Only downside no toilets on bus.

  • Kathy Tukavkin

Great service friendly staff. I wish all companies could run their businesses this way smooth no ifs or buts or anything just a job well done. Thank you.

  • Ryder‘s world #ad

My bus driver was really helpful and friendly and welcoming. The trip was pretty and scenic and i loved that the charging porta were easily accessible.

  • Amanda Taylor

Stressful experience (im vision impared). Staff were very inconsistant in their service but the journey itself was comfortable enough.

  • Amy Haywood

Small seating area in bus terminal, good customer service, kept updated on our service, quick transition on to the coach. Easy.

  • david walsh

My first journey with Greyhound and happy. Good seats and a smooth ride with a handy terminal lounge. Good value.

  • Brett Wilson

No staff to talk to. when female staff member was in she told me to go to Murray's both my ticket send greyhound

  • Hetti Gamatia

Have USB ports. And Toowoomba to Brisbane bus comes every hour. Super fast. And decent price.

  • Daniel Kerndler

Free wifi. Good seats, charging stations for everyone. Clean and air conditioning.

  • Lynne Freeman
