Grit Lab's virtual fitness classes are just what I needed during the lockdown. Their live and playback classes are easy to reserve, and the workouts are fun, full of energy, and fast-paced. Every session is different and covers a diverse range of muscle groups giving a full body workout. Coaches Anshul and Kanika do a fabulous job explaining each move and correcting form which I think is so important especially for beginners. The upbeat music combined with the positive motivation from the coaches truly powers me through each workout. I have been working out with GritLabs now for two months, and also joined their four weeks fitness challenge in June. The GritLabs challenge is designed to be a combination of exercise (I was already doing this), mindfulness through meditation (I was new to this), and clean and healthy eating (I knew I could get better in this area) into one sweet package. I found the three elements of this challenge to be extremely encouraging in making this a sustainable part of my lifestyle. By doing this with my wife, and joining the virtual community on WhatsApp with fellow participants and coaches made it even more motivating in making healthy food choices and sharing some great tips related to fitness and weight loss with each other. After completing the challenge, I'm already feeling stronger and more energetic, and I'm also down four pounds. I'm continuing to stick to eating healthy post the challenge as I personally found food to not just be a significant contributor to weight loss but also for fueling up properly to take my workouts to their full potential. Thank you GritLabs for everything, and I wish you guys lots of success in your new studio and venture.

The 4-week DIET challenge is truly a life-changing, well supported, self-rehabilitation journey. After years of failed attempts to control diet by counting calories and woefully trying to eat healthy (i.e. green, lean and tasteless food), I am shocked how energetic, lively and excited I feel now about planning my meals, shopping for my groceries, and cooking fresh meals in under 20mins!. For the first time ever in my life, I have learnt to listen to my body - instead of worrying about calories, I happily search for recipes with ingredients that I KNOW are the right ones to eat! I ate more greens in last 4 weeks than I did in the last year! I lost over 13lbs and I cant wait to see what results I will achieve by the end of this year! Everything they tell you about their LIFT training program is an understatement! It is not low intensity and It is certainly not low impact. For years and years, I have begged my trainers to develop an exercise program where I could loose weight without doing cardio (which I really do not enjoy). But no one has been able to do it until now. Its mind boggling that with just two pairs of dumbbells, I sweat as much as I do, my calf muscles are tight, my glutes get sore, my abdominal core hurts every time! I can do all this from the comfort of my home - I am never going back to the gym again!!! KUDOS GritLabs.

I found Gritlabs at the end of last July. I couldn't believe their ability to create workouts for every muscle group - a full body workout everytime! I hate to use the word 'gym' because they are so much more than that. We often joke about our gritlabs 'family'. I absolutely love the people who I have met through there and was astonished that after my second class they knew me by name. You are NOT a number at this facility. They consistently check in if they haven't seen you participating to make sure you are doing ok & ask how they can help you meet your goals (this is not at an extra cost). I was a bit worried when we moved from our outdoor workouts (so safe!) but the indoor set up is fantastic - HUGE outlined box, individual equipment at your station, temperature checks, etc. Anushul & Kanika are fantastic - always a laugh, as well as their other trainers (Who doesn't love Rachel or Maggie?). The workouts are NEVER the same and your fitness level does not matter. Your weights are always adjusted to fit your needs - whether that be lighter or heavier. Reps mean you are always challenging yourslef to do better. I said I would do six weeks at this place to start my fitness journey and here I am 8 months later because I can't get enough. There is always a free trial - its a win win!

GRITLABS came up in some local searches and after watching some of their online videos for what to expect, I reached out to them. Both Anshul and Kanika were very helpful and answered all of my (many) questions. From the first class I attended, I could tell this was different from others. The owners and trainers are highly motivating, encouraging and push you to try new things. The location is clean and they always have the proper equipment on hand. The trainers know you by name and you do not feel like a number. The GRIT family is supportive, inclusive and a positive place to do workouts. The workouts are always changing and they keep you on your toes. The trainers always push you to your full capacity along with also having options if something isn’t feeling right. Great music, the workouts are fantastic and you will definitely be sweating after these sessions! They have me trying things I never thought I was capable of. I took a chance on joining GRITLABS and I am so glad I did! I would recommend GRITLABS to anyone in the area looking for a great sweat session.

I live in Toronto, but I make the trek to Burlington to go to Gritlabs Fitness because they’re THAT great. I've worked out at dozens of different gyms over decades, and I say this all the time (to anyone who will listen!) that Gritlabs is the best place I've trained at. A very intentional cycle of strength, HIIT and conditioning classes that are fun, challenging and so rewarding. You will become a very well-rounded athlete training here, and because their workouts are progressive, you will be amazed at the results. Whether you're new to the gym or an elite athlete, this gym caters to both. You always leave a class feeling like you accomplished something, and with their changing cycles of workouts, you're constantly doing something different to keep you motivated and inspired. Beyond that, the community is amazing: the owners, instructors and members are so inclusive and energetic and they’ve created an incredible and friendly community. Everyone cheers everyone on. I genuinely love it here and really couldn’t recommend it enough. You have to go! You will not be disappointed.

I've been a gym hopper as long as I can remember because like some, I get really motivated to join but then life gets in the way or I lose motivation and stop going all together. I wasn't sure what to think of Grit labs initially because when I first joined the gym, it was because I won a free month through fb. But after my first class, I knew I wanted more and I kept coming back. The owners Anshul and Kanika including all the trainers are awesome, super motivating, knowledgeable, know you by name and know exactly when to push you. The classes are always different and the music is great. I can say I have never had a workout that I have not liked or regretted doing. They also like to throw in surprise moves and/or challenges at you which keeps things interesting all the time. In the last 6 months, I have lost close to 55lbs and dropped 20% in body fat. I am in better shape now than I have ever been. I always look forward to the next class!

Decided to try this place as I needed a kick start to get active again. I AM GLAD I DID! From the first day, I could tell this place was different from others I've tried in the past. No two days are the same. The owners and trainers really do care and are always encouraging. They will push you each class and will keep you highly motivated to want to come back for more. You don't feel like a number but like a part of the GRIT family. They want you to succeed. The place is inclusive of everyone and is such a positive experience. Great music, great workouts and a fun way to break a sweat, and you will sweat. They have strict social distancing rules, temperature check when you walk in, complete with hand sanitizers and disinfectant kits for your workout. Everyone is spaced 8 feet apart in your own station and you have your own equipment. They will have you doing things you never thought you would be able to do. I am glad I took the chance!

I haven't tried the other options (like the Bootcamp classes), but the LIFT classes at GritLabs are amazing! Not only are they challenging, but they're well balanced, varied, and run by an energetic and well informed group of trainers. Every trainer I've had the pleasure of training under gives great cues, directions and always advises on proper technique... ACTUAL proper technique... And they'll correct you whenever necessary. Every class I've attended has left me weak and wobbly... and I love it! Update: I've tried almost every class they offer, and attended as many events as I can, and I can honestly say this place is fantastic for discovering or furthering your fitness goals. They are constantly updating not only their programs, but their equipment and offerings. Their staff continues to improve, and the feeling of being part of a community never goes away. This place has it all for me, and I'm so glad to be part of the grit fam.

Gritlabs is more then just effective cardio and strength workouts that cater to all fitness levels. Its a community. I have never felt so welcomed and experienced such a sense of belonging, as I have with Gritlabs, and I have been to many different gyms over my 20 year health and fitness journey. Now lets talk about the workouts. Gritlabs is a motivating group fitness environment that gets you addicted and keeps you coming back for more. It's a functional total body strenght or cardio workout that has substantially increased my energy levels, metabolic rate, strength, and endurance. Workouts are never the same, the programming is very strategic and effective, the music is fantastic, and the coachs are so helpful, knowledgeable and motivating. I strongly encourage anyone who has any type of health and fitness goal, at any fitness level, to give Gritlabs a try. I promise you, your expectations will be exceeded!

GRITLABS is amazing!! They are not words I ever thought I would use for any gym, but they truly are. Kanika and Anshul (the owners) are amazing. Their upbeat attitude and fantastic spirit, is both motivating and comforting at the same time. Who knew that was possible in a gym? No matter your fitness level, from zero to infinity, they make you feel you can do it. And you do. I speak from experience, as someone who was very close to zero. Finding GRITLABS has been a gift for me. I just completed the 28 day challenge which was so well laid out and monitored by Kanika and Anshul. The challenge was great. It helped me set new boundaries on when and what I eat, helped me do consistent workouts and drop a few pounds. Total win for me. The app that we used to take photos was so helpful. I can't wait for the next one! The combination of LIFT (strength training) and Bootcamp is great. Don't knock it until you try it.

I’ve been a consistent member for 3 months now and am happy to call this my home gym! I’ve never been to 6am workouts in my life before now, which speaks volumes! I see and feel the physical and mental benefits. The members are inspiring as many of them are parents that make time to get active. Gritlabs carves out time for family workouts. It can look intimidating as there are “real weights and plates” lol but overall it’s a very welcoming environment. All the coaches make an effort to get to know you and remember your name. The owners are pretty cool too! Coach Pete explains the workouts and intentions very thoroughly which help me with my purpose and understanding. Gritlabs also incorporates other types of pop up workouts like yoga or race training from time to time which keeps things interesting. The community is awesome and I’m happy to be part of it! :)

Gritlabs is the best. I started attending the Baby in Gym class taught by Melissa (she’s awesome) and was hooked immediately. I love that my daughter is taken such great care of while I workout, that she is able to play with the other babies and that I’m able to get in an amazing workout. I love the community of Mom’s and Members that I’ve met there. I love how encouraging and friendly the Owners and Trainers are and that it feels like a community. I love that I actually want to workout and that it doesn’t feel like it’s something that I have to do. I hate gyms! I've tried them all... the big malls because they offered more or less personalized classes, the 24-hour centers because I was too busy at home with my kids, I even bought equipment so I could work out at home, at my own pace, but the motivation just wasn't there. So I decided to take a "drop-in" class at Gritlab to see if I'd like it, and after the class I signed up! The gym is perfect, not too big, not too small, they have all the equipment and weights you need, the classes are varied with demusculation, toning and cardio exercises, the class schedules are flexible to suit everyone, and the trainers are really caring and encouraging. Yes, I started out by saying I hated gyms, but now I'm hooked! Addicted to Gritlab! Come and try a "drop-in" class and prove me wrong ;)

I can honestly say that Gritlabs is a game changer in the fitness world. The owners and training staff are dedicated to pushing you to your physical limits and beyond in a fun safe environment. They take the time to get to know you and help you develop and achieve your goals. Another one of the keys to their success is the effort and energy they put into the class programming. Never the same workout twice, awesome music and a great balance of “boot camp” and “lift” classes to add to the variety. There are plenty of weights and equipment to go around and they are constantly adding pieces for specific exercises. My wife Jen and I are proud to be founding members of the Gritlabs community and strongly recommend this fitness studio to anyone looking for a next level workout!

I joined Gritlabs primarily for their baby in gym class during my maternity leave, as I was on the search for fitness classes that involved my baby. I was impressed by the welcoming staff who made me feel at home. The way they greeted me with a smile and positive attitude, made me feel comfortable and part of the community. The class is great. I love that my baby is part of it, and it is also so nice to have the extra support of the trainers to help with babe when needed. Melissa is great at producing a workout program that fits all, while still individually challenging members based on their level of fitness. I tried other classes here and also love them! I don’t remember the last time I felt so happy and motivated to go to the gym! The space and equipment are top notch and the community is so friendly and motivating. The circuits keep things fresh, each class flies by and everything can be modified based on your level of experience. All of the instructors are fabulous and bring something unique to each of their classes - I really appreciate the energy and support that Aly brings, Coach Pete keeps you working from start to finish and Melissa is so encouraging and gives some great pointers! It's been 4 months and I have seen noticeable changes in strength, sleep, energy and would highly recommend this gym for anyone who is looking for that extra challenge and motivation! :)

Early in my "journey" here, just did my 3rd class today. There's something special about being able to put a face to the owners, wonderful people who have created a really strong team here. Literally and figuratively. The vibe is very inclusive and nonjudgmental - if you ARE struggling people will jump in to help and motivate you. The music is GREAT please never change it. I've tried the LIFT classes so far and they include a wide variety of exercises using all sorts of equipment. If you didn't know how to lift before you will learn... Starting can be intimidating but any of the exercises can be modified to increase or decrease intensity/weight to your capacity.

Gritlabs is amazing!! I recently just joined and the minute I stepped into the gym Kanika made me feel super welcomed. The gym environment is so motivating and the members seem like family. I joined Gritlabs during covid- we started outdoors, then moved indoors, then went to virtual. Talk about being able to adapt to all situations. Gritlabs even lent us equipment to workout virtually! Gritlabs is more of a community and you’re not lost in a big gym environment. They truly care about your goals and success related to health or fitness. Anshul and Kanika along with the other trainers are so positive and energetic it’s contagious. The best workout I’ve ever had! Every workout is different than the one before. After the pandemic I lost pretty much all motivation I had to workout and stay fit, but after hearing about GritLabs online I reached out to start to 7 days for $7 and the classes were so motivating, they had me wanting to come back to see how far I could push myself. During lockdown I was putting on weight, lethargic and actually pretty depressed and not liking myself. Then I was scrolling on social media and found my game changer. Gritlabs. I have only been doing their bootcamp and LIFT classes and I have dropped 2 sizes in jeans and love my body and myself again. I have never done the same routine twice and I really get a good sweat every time. It’s safe and clean you have your own station and instructors are awesome. I love the team at Gritlabs! I’ve been able to try some bootcamp classes, but I mainly go to the baby in gym classes and it’s a workout and MORE. I drive 40 min for the class; it’s the atmosphere, the coach (Melissa - she is amazing), the workout, the variety- it’s worth it. I never thought I’d be able to get an amazing killer workout with my baby just hanging out, but I do. I’ve been there since April 2022 and there’s no turning back. For all new moms (for baby in gym) or anyone new to fitness, give it a chance and you will get hooked!

I’ve been there for two weeks now and honestly I absolutely love it there! I’ve tried the bootcamp, lift and baby gym classes and they’re all great. I especially love the lift classes and find them the most effective and challenging. The owners and trainers are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and super fun to be around. I joined this amazing Fitness Studio in September of 2021 and absolutely love it. The entire team is professional, friendly, and extremely motivating! They are accommodating to all fitness levels and age groups and somehow are able to achieve the necessary balance of making each work out challenging so that I am pushed to my max without feeling de-motivated! They value feedback from their clients and make adjustments to ensure classes can still happen, which has been major during a pandemic. No two workouts are the same, but every class is challenging and somehow also fun! They also play the BEST music. If you haven't tried Gritlabs yet, I highly recommend that you do!

You want to hit all the muscle groups, working things out well--enough that you feel it the next day--though not debilitated by the experience. Gritlabs has all of that and more. But something we often don't think about when we choose a gym is, 'do I want to spend a lot of time with these people?' Amazing place to workout! The community is what is key to a good gym, everyone is supportive and helpful. Melissa is a top notch coach that gets everyone excited and amped up for the 6am classes, as well as showing proper form and assisting all clients on movements when needed. Absolutely love the addition of LIFT classes. Sometimes high intensity doesn't isolate muscle groups as effective as concentrated movements. Thanks to the LIFT class that has changed. Great break from the HIIT training and really helps focus on strength with a very good assortment of low impact exercises. If you're looking for something that's not cardio heavy but still want to break a sweat while getting stronger, LIFT is for you

This place is awesome!!! I joined for strength and endurance training this summer before going back to University to play soccer and the trainers were so welcoming, high energy and knowledgable! I really appreciated how they pushed me in the workouts so I could get the best out of every session! I tried Gritlabs on a whim and a free Instagram trial. And now, I've been attending classes for four months and it has completely changed my perspective of exercise. This place is extremely inviting. The trainers are fantastic and they actually want you to succeed. The workouts push you and yet are incredibly fun with upbeat music. It's also very clean and sanitized after each workout. Anshul and Kanika are the best. I went to their bootcamp for 3 months (3 times a week on average) and lost 20 lbs of post-baby weight. No workouts are the same, they come up with different stuff every time. You just show up and they take care of the rest. If you need nutrition guidance, they cover it as well (I LOVED that part). Very individual approach, great workouts and amazing, amazing people. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mel is an excellent trainer and her workouts are the best for postpartum mamas (a good mix of challenge but mindfulness and consideration of moms bodies). The aspect I love most is the extra trainer there just to watch over the babies so moms aren’t fussing over them and can truly focus on the workout. Highly recommend!!

Attended the online workouts and it was fun but gosh what a workout! The team at Gritlabs knows how to keep you motivated through the session and to keep the energy high. I am unfit so the pace was perfect so I could keep up but also ensured that I worked up a sweat and felt it the next day! The music was brilliant but my thighs still shudder when I hear Thunderstruck ;) I cannot recommend Gritlabs more!

I recently joined Grit! The community is so warm and welcoming. The trainers bring a fun and playful energy to the classes. The workouts are effective and you can train at a pace that works for your body. They provide many different exercise movements and there is a variety of different weights that you can work with.
