Whilst the park certainly seems like a small, local park, it also has the essence of a sort of hideaway with a little bit of everything for all ages. The quaint duck pond, flanked by a variety of magnificent trees, has a very homely, welcoming feel, perfect for a picnic. There is an always-bustling play park for families, with a surprisingly large selection of swings and frames for the children to enjoy to the fullest of their little imaginations. And, of you fancy some garden games with your nearest and dearest, there is an open field of grass with your name on it just waiting for a kickabout or competitive game of tag rugby, followed by a few beers and cocktails. There isn't necessarily anything remarkable about this little park, but its simplicity is what makes it perfect, for locals and visitors alike, for a quiet time away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday.

A lovely park in the middle of a residential area in Harborne, Birmingham. It has some facilities for children to play. There is a nice pond which is frequented by many ducks. It has some benches and picnic seating where you can relax. During spring there are many beautiful displays of spring flowers. There are many different varieties of trees and shrubs. It is popular with families but never feels overly busy. There is a small car park and roadside parking nearby. Locals will often walk through the park on their way to the high street but it is a pleasant place to dwell. It feels like a countryside oasis in amongst an urban surround.

Grove Park is a lovely place to head for in Harborne, for a local walk. It has lots of wild life to look out for including: ducks, moorhens, geese, black headed gulls grey heron, we also saw a nuthatch today. We also enjoy feeding the friendly squirrels. Beautiful in the spring with all the crocus' daffodils and the many trees coming into leaf. There is also a children's playground and 2 different carparks.

I love Grove park it's on my walking way to all my local destinations. I will often just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet and watch all the ducks and other birds going about their business. It's quite a small park but we'll maintained. It has an enclosed children's playground and a few tables and chairs for a picnic. The children love feeding the ducks who can be quite fussy as to what they eat!!

Love this little beauty spot, theres plenty of open space to walk the dog, a separate children's playground, plenty of benches/tables and bins well placed to sit and have some food, all around the park. Theres some beautiful shrubs and bushes that flower in the spring, its divine then! Theres well kept flower beds and a lake, with ducks n geese.. Its a lovely little hideaway.

  • Birmingham Close up

Grove Park was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I walked from Birmingham City. It is a very beautiful area and a very pretty park, with a beautiful Lake, lots of ducks and Canadian goose, making lots of noise to keep you awake. I would visit again because of the beautiful surroundings. I have posted photos with all my other photos.

Didnt get to walk into the park, but just walking alongside it on the pavement, the sun shining through leaves and tree branches bathing you in warm sunlight. Ducks paddling in the pond and squirrels foraging and nibbling. Made the walk very enjoyable and brightened up my day (metaphorically and literally)

Have been coming here for 25 years and it never disappoints. It's amazing to bring my babies here and allow them to experience all the fun I had here growing up. The duck pond is lovely and there's plenty of space for my daughter to run around. Then there's the play area which is really good too.

  • Maxine Warrican

Its ideal for a quick stop off to let children have a 5 minute run around and play on small park. One thing concerning is how many dogs are allowed to run with our leases in the kids play area. Owners should be FINED for this after recent incidents involving dogs and children being attacked.

  • Andrew Smith

An oasis of beauty and peace in the centre of Birmingham. With open spaces, Children's play areas, shrubbery garden and pool with ducks, geese, and moorhens, it's the perfect place to take the kids, walk the dog or just enjoy the peace and quiet.

Very green and leafy park with lots of trees, a duck pond, play area with swings and slides for children. It's a great area to spend time with family and has enough space for all activities like dog walking, football, picnic and running.

The park is gorgeous. Harborne is an excellent area so you know it's a safe place to bring the kids especially. There is a small play area and a pond where you can feed the ducks. Beautiful landscape with a lot of greenery.

  • Naveed Syed

A pleasant little urban park, with children's play area, a pond and plenty of trees. Not organised in the best of ways and the insulating nature of the terrain make group sports more problematic. General upkeep is fair

  • Boglárka Tóth-Bagosi
