I’ve bought this curtain online and have tried to return it at the N Early St City Center store and have been mistreated and falsely told by Zarilda and Daniela, that I couldn’t return this item as it has been opened and not properly folded, which is a lie, as it’s in perfect condition, original packaging without any damaging to the product as I only opened it to see how tick the curtain was and was surprised how bad the quality is and how poorly made and different from the picture on the website. I’ve told then about the call of period that is within the Irish laws, which gives the online consumers to return any product within 14 days without giving any reason to the business, which I’m kindly giving as telling you that the quality you sold me in the picture is not the same as I’ve received yesterday and they were very rude and unhelpful telling me that it’s written in store to not open the products, even after I told them I’ve bought it ONLINE!!! I’ll be actioning the CCPC and the store will be notified, as it’s ridiculous the return online process and how consumer’s are mistreated and manipulated in order to not return products that are poorly made and it’s in the Irish law that it’s our right to return within 14 days. I’m attaching a picture of the package that they told me was not “folded properly” so I couldn’t be refunded. Very poorly instructed employees and I won’t be buying with them NEVER AGAIN!!!!

I am giving one because I can not give 0. Went in today to see fabrics when I saw this awful situation, a very polite woman with black skin have asked something to a staff Called Sharon when the staff awfully spoke to this lady like a dog, screaming that she would see when she finish what she was doing. On the spot the manager was there and just advised Sharon she would be closing the other floors. Less than 1minutes later a old Irish woman approached Sharron who spoke nicely and sweet to the Irish woman, even stopping what she was doing. Absolutely awful and discriminatory behaviour and manager was there seen it all happening and agreed with it. Big shame on you guys, racist is not a nice thing. Edit 26 April; when your company runs over discriminatory behaviour you should come across clear I am not emailing you, please feel comfortable to check your cameras 10 min before the date and hours of this review mine and answer with with clarity and transparency. Arrived at 5;45. Website and google said shop was closing at 6. We desperately needed certain items that Guineys sell. Security guard said we couldn’t come in. Eventually after pleading, we ran upstairs. The shop assistants face would stop a bus never mind a clock because we walked in. What we needed would easily have been bought in 5-10 mins and we would easily have been out of the shop by 6. But it seems all the staff wanted to leave the shop at 5:55 or 6 on the nose. Don’t advertise you’re open till 6 if you’re not. So we said it to the manager who’s face was pretty similar to the woman on the 3rd floor. If you don’t wanna work there’s plenty of people out there who do… just give up and go on the dole and stop bringing misery to the world… Don’t shop here with these u happy and miserable people.

Just left Guineys north Earl and never seen anything as rude in my life! First I was buying a curtain pole and the guy wasn’t the most helpful young guy with a light beard, i asked for help with size he didn’t even raise he’s eyes then a lovely woman with glasses stepped in, as I was paying as the pole was so high I bumped of the hanging light an he said “Jesus “ in a huff manner it was obviously an accident by me. Then a young Indian girl came up asking about her break to which he replied and said “don’t be asking me ask Sandra your only in from 12 that’s 3 hours so don’t ask me ask her now get out of my way” for him to pass my Curtin pole he spiked to her shockingly me and another customer looked at each other in horror! I think maybe he should not be on counter

I've been going to Guineys for thirty years, if not more. Staff are generally lovely, helpful, efficient, effective and welcoming. Happy to direct you to whatever you are looking for, or check in the store, to see if they have it for you. Very occasionally I've heard stories from other people, about occasions where an individual has been rude, even abusive to a customer. That's rare. There's even been a lady working for their security company, who was lovely and helpful also, I think her name is Ann. Not there the last couple of times I've been in Guineys. I'm happy to recommend the staff in this store. More than happy to go back to this store.

Ordered a duvet on the 30th December,I know deliverys are only getting back to normal,but why if I placed an order with the shop in Dublin that my delivery started off in cork,if I had of known it was going to be this much bother I would have ordered it from harry currys,I ordered a sheet before Christmas from harry currys and it came the next day all the way from Belfast,brilliant service from harry currys,I won't be placing anymore orders with guineys on line

Went there today to buy a backbag which is on sale on their website from 12,95 to 6,95. The guy from the shop asked me 12,95 for it. Even though there was a big sign reading 50% above the items..I told him that the bag is 6,95 and he said that only few stuff there are on sales. Very disappointed drove from tallaght to have a look around. false advertising. Never go there again and definitely I won't recommend the shop.

Ignorant and rude manager! Tried to explain reasoning for return for my pensioner father and she bluntly put her hand up to say she was doing ME a favour for allowing an exchange and that was that! A shop with a manager like that who has NO people skills needs proper training. This will only lose plenty of customers but obviously she does not care at all. Her own staff had to apologise to me whilst she walks off!

If it comes to special offers and getting great deals on jeans, simple t-shirts, socks and on in the men department, Guineys is definitely the best place to go in Dublin City Center. I would recommend to bring a little bit time when you go shopping here, as the most items are not much sorted by size and it might need a moment to find what will fit, but hey, for that it's cheap as chips and decent quality.

Guineys one of the best shops around. Shop offers variety of shopping areas under one roof. Best thing about Guineys is its affordable cost. It has large number of bedsheets, cushions, home decor with modern patterns. It also has men and women's section. Both sections offers multi branded clothes at a very low cost. Only problem with shop is its space, its very tiny. This is a must go shop

Purchased artificial flowers, Saturday, 29/04/2023, cashier right at main entrance, left me waiting going back and forth, I asked what the problem was, the price wasn't scanning, not my fault, she eventually gave them the price it was scanning reluctantly, threw the paper bag on the counter, in which I had to package myself, ignorance to the young lady serving, horrendous service,

Very offensive and rude staff. Lady made inapropriate comments in front of other customers. Customer service is very poor, misleading and disinformative, everywhere: on website, via email and in person. It was first and last time I left my money at Guineys. Owner, who answers this review also gives an email address that doesn’t exist. That explains a lot too.

I went there to buy fabric and staff was really unfriendly, I needed to say good afternoon 3 times until the person answer me.Also was lacking the quantity of the fabric that I needed, so I decided to have 1 meter of one fabric and another one from another, the staff did a really upset face to my when I chose to buy two different options.

I recently ordered new curtains which arrived quickly but unfortunately when we hung them there was a couple of small plucks - I emailed Guineys and had a brand new set within 2 days! I honestly couldn't recommend Guineys more highly!

Lots of moderately priced goods. I can't really speak to the quality as I have only bought a few things here. The staff are helpful...the location on Talbot Street has an elevator but it is out of order. The stairs can be difficult if you are elderly like me.

The quality of fabrics are perfect and the price are reasonable. I also ordered bedsheets online and it was much cheaper than other brands. you can find king bed sheet high quality in 5.99 euro while in other stores the single bed sheet costs 8 euro or more.

Getting net curtains, 35 mins waiting and person behind me served. Despite having given measurements and rolls out halfway in my assistant barely listened then offered ones 5cm short. Health condition so ruined my day standing for nothing

Long time customer and well known there so why I was stopped by security guard for a bag search was beyond me. I may have to think about shopping elsewhere. Been shopping in both Guineys on and off since the late 90s. Very disappointed.

One star is too much! Terrible service, soo disappointed. Machine was acting up and they were not even able to check if the transaction went through. Extremely grouchy and did not accept prove of payment. Never returning to this shop!!!

You cannot beat the value for money you get here. Its a bit haphazardly arranged but you can find excellent deals in there for most of the things compared to pretty much any other shop in Dublin.

Bit budget friendly for household items but can’t find much cool and stylish stuffs. Items are very conventional and price are higher for apparel’s as compared to their quality

For tourists this is the place to go to get cheap good clothes, like if something happened to your clothes, I shop there very good quality Jean's and tops, highly recommend!!
