I purchased a compressor from this store and a week later I got an email from Harbor Freight with 20% memorial day discount coupon. I checked the Harbor Freight policies online and it turned out I could still use the discount up to 30 days from the date of purchase. I went to the store and requested the discount but they said I have to bring the large and heavy compressor back to the store to get the discount. I told them I have the receipt, the credit card that I made the original purchase and my drivers license but they still refused. I got the impression that they just didn't want to give me the discount. In addition to being unhelpful they were also a bit rude. I didn't like the way they treated me so I left the store and directly went to Lowes to buy a similar compressor (and believe it or not with similar price) and the next thing in the morning I returned their compressor. I don't think I would ever return to their store to buy anything else.

Good tool store in a rough area of san jose where their shopping carts get stolen by the homeless as soon as they receive new ones. If you need help grabbing multiple items the workers are happy to help you get what you need and the amount as well, and if they dont have that amount they will gladly check another location for you and have them put it on hold. And if you dont like that the employees arnt wearing masks then maybe you should follow the covid 19 guidelines your self and stay home and shelter in place. They are not a food service place and the county is not mandating the use of masks at this time, so employees are not required to wear a mask by law it is their preference. And since you complained about it now the employees who suffer from Claustrophobia have to wear the mask all day and suffer from not being able to breathe and have panic attacks.

I came in to buy a big tool box today because they were having a sale for 4th of July weekend. Usually the toolbox are excluded from coupons, I think. I was definitely going to buy a tool box and had one model in mind. The new 34" service cart. The website said it was in stock in black. I didn't see it on the floor, so I asked an associate. She was very nice and said she didn't know but would get the manager for me. I showed the manager the model on my phone and asked if I could buy one. He said he couldn't sell it to me because it was his display model. I asked if I could see it and he said no, it's in the back in a big box. In the end, I was so frustrated I didn't buy any tool box or anything else. I just wasted a hour of my life. Harbor freight, I don't think this is the the person you want running your store.

Great place for "disposable" tools, some sturdy tools, DIY stuff, and stuff you didn't know you needed until you see it there (i.e. watch repair tool kit, drones, every wrench you could ever imagine). For about $200 you can get your choice of solar panels; an inspection camera; a bumper winch; a portable cement mixer; or an actually pretty decent OBD2 diagnostic tool that reads OBD2 codes, ABS codes, SRS codes. Everything from a table saw so small you could make Barbie furniture out of popsicle sticks, to build-it-yourself trailers you can take to DMV and register. it's Toys-R-Us for DIY adults on a budget.

This harbor freight store doesn't have shopping carts for some reason, only shopping baskets. Makes buying bulky items difficult, was trying to buy ten watertight metal storage containers, settled for three because couldn't find a way to carry them up to cashier. Oh well, will swing by Blossom Hill store or Stevens Creek store on the way to work next week...too much trouble to get back into line multiple times. Nice store, close to home, wish I learned of it sooner. Staff is efficient, some customers look a little dodgy, but they could probably say same of me too.

I like spending money here! Wellll...at least that's what it looks like. This is because I'll come in here for a thing or two. But when I'm at the register, the cashier asks, "Would you like a bag?" I bounce back with, "Why? I only have 2..." "I have 21 things?! What the pi$$?! Dangnammit. Whatever. I'll find ways to use it all. Put this miniature tape measure and these zip ties in there too." And yes, I left with more than the 1 thing I came in here for today.

This afternoon at this store there was only one clerk wearing a mask and the rest of the clerks and cashiers were NOT wearing masks or gloves! Shame on the management! The Cashiers at this store were also unprofessional and unfriendly. I will not recommended this store to anyone at all!AND WARN people that employees/Mgmt. at this store are NOT following the COVID-19 Safety Precautions and inform the SCC Health Department as well.

Great as always bought a 15.000 btu tank top heater today It was the only they in stock box looked open . Talked to manager gave 20% off .looked like the igniter did not work .got home turns out it has no igniter it was the shutoff valve plunger . Worked great butt it had a bad brass seat .called harbor freight and talked too Cindy she was great . Gave the closest store that had one in stock. Will go tomarow and get my new one

Great customer service. Been here a couple times and everyone is eager and willing to help . I highly recommend this harbor freight over all .I've been to the sunnyvale one I believe or Santa clara. They're good and very clean with the inventory and have lifetime warranty on almost every tool which are pretty good quality for the money compared to higher priced brands. Will definitely come here only for any tool needs etc

Fun place to shop. I only wish they had a phone number to call when you have a question a person of authority can help with. I purchased a work bench and I liked it so much that I wanted another but when I tried to purchase another 10 days later the price was almost $30.00 more. If I could speak to a person I’m sure they would let me have it at same price. Other than that, I like shopping for tools and equipment there.

I went there today to purchase tarps. The bill came to 31 then the girl said she forgot to charge me for something and the bill went up to 37. I used a 30% off of everything under 10. Got $14 off. Love Harbor Freight! The only issue most of them have is the lines at the cash register. They often get out of control. But besides that, they always have what I need and the quality vs. price is pretty darn good. You have to know what to buy and what to stay away from. Before you go in, be sure to grab a coupon. you can usually get 20% off, as much as 30% off with some coupons found on their website.

TERRIBLE customer service. The young woman at the check out counter was VERY unprofessional. They are minimally helpful, you can tell they don't want to be there, and lied multiple times to the customer. Sad day for Harbor Freight, they used to be one of my favorite stores. I will not buy there again.

These guys are very helpful and the store is well organized. Deals on everything from tools to toys. The parking is sometimes crazy in the evenings, but worth the trouble for a good deal which you will find every day. Don't forget to join the inside track to get even more deals!

It's ok just had an injury using one of the tools I bought there tho, a small pry bar I was using the handle slid down n the end went nearly thru the palm of my hand....other then that good prices usually, just gotta keep in mind things are cheaper there for a reason

Customer service was very good and management was very helpful getting me the aluminum ramps I needed. The guy even carried the box to my van in the big parking lot. Also recommend the latex gloves in 7 mil. It's got a Jack in a box next to it as well.

Helpful employees and courteous. Also credit card machines automatically able to handle prepaid card amount and allowed me to paid the rest in cash. Other places cashier will have to do this manually since my prepaid card didn't cover the full amount.

Nice store, quite large and well stocked, friendly if harried help. I just popped if to do an exchange on my way somewhere else, the line for a sales clerk was a bit long, but soon they called two more from the back and then things moved right along.

Their door has disbled access, more organized than their store branch in stevens creek. Always has a good deal for tools and equipments. I will recommend to people that needs to buy tools and equipments at reasonable prices.

Ok store, sometimes understocked. This evaporust stuff works good on rusted parts, but if you dont cover the container it will evaporate like water. 8 to 12hrs for bad rust. I used it on a set of seat brackets from 1969.

Just bought a low profile 3 ton jack I'm going to have to return it because one of the wheels will not turn. Update they make the return easy but it is a pain having a box it up and bring it back when it weighs 75 lb

Sometimes the line can get long. I am guessing that there might be 3 or 4 people working at any given time because I don't think I have ever seen another register open, even when the line is 6 or even 8 people deep.

Enjoy passing by for cheap tools and replacement items. I stopped in one day because I had a roller that carries 200+ lb. have a broken wheel. Had plenty of parts. Prices sometimes lower than hardware stores.
