The chef here really knows what he's doing. The pan-fried pork dumplings were perfectly crispy on the bottom, soft and chewy on top - the insides aren't full of juice like Xiao Long Bao, but instead the filling is soft and lightly flavoured. The Mapo Tofu with Chicken Mince is wonderful. Tofu texture just right - not too hard or soft. The mince is nice, no gristle. The tangy kick of the "mala" Sichuan peppers in the dish has that delicious and mildly tongue-numbing sensation that is so addictive. Very generous portion too! Great food, friendly and efficient service, quite nice seating inside for a small shop.

Pork Buns

First time orderer from this resturant. Since leaving mooroolbark to live elsewere, i have been looking for a close to home Dumpling House. Ordered the Juicey pork buns fried the pork dumplings fried the chicken and prawn dumplings boiled and some special fried rice. Loved everything however what let the meal down was the dough on the chicken and prawn dumplings it was very thick and partly raw that being said the filling was delicious. The Pork buns was another let down as they had no juice and were a bit rubbery. All in all i will order again but perhaps make different choices in what i pick.

Placed order online . Online they said pick your order at 7.30 pm when I reached. Owner asked me to wait 1 more hr because he doesn’t know, what my order. After waited for 1 hour the food I got dry dumplings undercooked. Noodles with no flavour. Boil noodles. And owner didn’t apologise just let it go. Pathetic service. I don’t no how he got 4.6 stars. Never ordering again

I love a great seafood tom yum soup! When i have ordered from other restaurants i am usually served with large prawns, pieces of fish, calamari and scallops. Tonight i received 3 prawns that were no bigger then a 5 cent piece, a piece of fish that was no bigger then 20 cents and 1 piece of calamari! The rest was all vegetables! I would of been happy if i ordered a vegetable tom yum soup. A real let down. Not impressed at all.

Absolutely nothing good about this place. Ordered 1 soup and some appetisers. They gave themselves 1 hour to make and deliver, 1h15 later meal is ready to be picked up. It's a quiet Monday night folks, not Friday or Saturday. Combination soup was nothing but noodles a small amount of beef and chicken half a slice of carrot and a couple of leaves of Pak Choy. Nothing combination and nothing worth the 1h30 it took to get it.

very disappointed, just ordered a chicken and veggie stir fry with chilli sauce expect the chilli sauce tasted like fish sauce, it wasn’t edible at all, also had literal black dumplings the other week. just wanted to know how you can stuff up dumplings and still serve it when they are literally black. Not happy

I discovered this restaurant/takeaway place recently. They have the best noodles I've ever had. I often get the spring rolls as appetizers but it's the noodles that I love. You get such a huge portion for $15. I've often not been able to eat it all. I'd highly recommend this place. I've eaten from there many times recently and never had a problem. The chef is a master of his craft

Hard working kitchen, had to wait a little bit longer than expected but it was worth it! Amazing food, lots of flavour and generous portions which brought happiness to an otherwise difficult day for us. This shop is hard working, the critical reviews below seem unfair.

Bland sweet and sour, with well over cooked deep fried pork (all gristle and random veggies). Chicken and sweet corn soup was ok until noticing thick jelly blobs which was off putting. Wouldn’t go back.

Visited recently for some takeaway found the cafe small but seemed to be popular on a Friday night. Tried the beef ribs in black been sauce. Very nice and portion size was good. Staff were nice and the service fast. Looking forward to trying the laksa next time. Wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking out the front.

Had the stir-fried chicken with Vegetables and cashews, I was thoroughly delighted. The chicken was juicy, the vegetables were fresh, and it even had the little baby corns that less places serve these days. No artificial or overly heavy flavours in the sauce either. Pleasant quick service too.

Vegetable Dumplings - GROSS! Literally just frozen veggies inside..how can you name your restaurant after dumplings when they're that bad?! Not even any kind of seasoning or spices for flavour. Frozen dumplins at the supermarket are better. On a positive note - delivered quickly and good temp.

Enjoyed a great meal of Beef in Black Bean Sauce, Chicken and Veg with Almonds and Singapore Noodles. The latter was the best we have ever had with generous portions of chicken strips, omelette and prawns etc that we have ever had. Will definitely go back again.

By far the most flavourless Chinese meal I’ve ever had. Ordered seafood Nasi goreng and there was about 3 halves of some tiny shrimp in there and that’s it. My wife had chicken black bean and it was dry and also flavourless. 1 Star is probably too generous

Eating at this restaurant was a privilege to be had. Not only was it efficient and fast, but the staff were all helpful and kind. Their food, especially the dumplings, are one of a kind, and U would definitely recommend this place to others!

Very normal and the value for money is low. Ordered over Delivero. It says 12 dupling and 10 was in the package. Chicken corn soup was skin of chicken.

So yummy! Favourite dish was the Pork & Vegetable Dumplings in Chilli Oil, very nice chilli hit and flavours. The staff were lovely, service was quick, spotless kitchen and affordable delicious food.

Juicy pork buns were disgusting Black and burnt on bottom. Hard as rocks. Nothing juicy about them. I thought they might be something like a pan fried version of xiao long bao. Would not recommend.

Nice and clean. Fresh ingrediants and friendly staff. Probably one of the better Chinese places in Mooroolbark. Had the vegetable noodle soup and a Vegetable Curry Laska both were really nice.

Traditional Cantonese cuisine and dim sum - great tasting, big portions & affordable price. Highly recommended! Definitely coming again to support the local business.

Changed their menu. It's really restricted you have to have a main and rice in the same container with a soft drink or soup. Won't go back
