Rude staff. Tiny portions. No heating on. Poorly trained staff. Very unprofessional attitude towards customers. We ordered a 'sharing' cheese platter. Which came with a tiny piece of Apricot Wensleydale and a baked camembert. The main problem was the lack of cutlery to eat it, no napkins and only a few tiny pieces of bread. We asked 'the manager' if we could have some more bread. Unfortunately she was cleary unable to handle this kind of situation and just kept repeating herself and argueing with us. We spoke to the chef who agreed that there is clearly not enough bread and that the executive chef 'loves' sourdough bread and it's really expensive! We eventually asked for a refund as we really weren't getting anywhere. Such a shame as we were looking forward to a nice birthday celebration in Guiseleys newest venue. We walked round to everybody's and probably went on to spend over £100. Finally as we left the numerous staff were laughing and jeering at the end of the bar. Absolutley disgusting. I visit a lot of bars and often eat out with a large and varied social group. I will be sure never to reccomend here after such a bad experience. BE WARNED. THE ONE POSITIVE I MUST ADD IS THAT MORRISONS IS RIGHT ON THE DOORSTEP SO IF YOU DID EVER WANT TO GO YOU COULD ALWAYS PICK UP YOUR OWN LOAF OF SOURDOUGH FOR UNDER £1.50

I have wanted to visit this pub for a while, looks really welcoming whenever I ha e driven past, it's a bit out of our way but we were enticed by the 50% off for offer on Thursdays. First the good points, great service from the staff, great interior, felt like a New York style pub, great menu and the pizzas were excellent. On to the drinks, loads of key options, think there were 12 taps, however I could only see Beavertown Neck Oil which I fancied, in the end went for the cask range, looked like 5 different option. First off I had Wainwright Amber, from the first taste I recognised the slightly sour taste of uncleaned lines, decided on the second pint I went for Saltaire Cascade, same problem. We finished our food and left, certainly was ordering any more beer. I'd suggest this pub needs to regime of line cleaning, I won't be going back anytime soon.

Hawkhill is a great place to come and socialise with friends and family. Whether it’s food or drinks, the bar staff are second to none and make sure you are well looked after. Attention to detail, making sure check backs on food is a lovely touch. Drinks are top quality and reasonably priced for the competition locally. I would highly recommend visiting Jack and his wonderful team. The best place in Guiseley for sure!!

We attended a friend's 60th birthday party here and had a great evening. The upstairs pool room doubles up as a function room which is fine but there is no bar upstairs .... however that is remedied by hard working staff taking drinks orders on a tablet and then the drinks are delivered to your table. This worked perfectly. The food was also very good Only negative is that the car park only has about 5 places ... Morriston very close as is M&S but they're not keen on cars parking late / overnight so we parked up the lane. That aside the Hawkhill is very good

Had couple of drinks and was given a loyalty card I got two stamps for my first two drinks (a pint and a single gin and tonic) got a second round and got one stamp ( half and a doublegin and tonic), apparently you don't get a stamp for a half pint and still only one stamp for a double. Also the beer was flat (Timothy Taylor landlord) The pub is ok but why is music always louder than people who want to talk

I got dumped tonight and winning this quiz will really make my week #TeamGoogle This review is subject to being fast tracked past Purple Cobras in the quiz. Please (PS- Pizzas be bitchin’) #COYG Following the previous review, horribly single still, the quiz has to be the highlight of the pub, Phil knows his stuff, bar staff are INCREDIBLE at pulling shandys! Purely for points this review but yeah, it’s decent

My last visit here 3 weeks ago was not the best but after visiting again this evening it feels completely different the service was quick the staff were really friendly and helpful. Accommodating and all round friendly. Would definitely recommend it if you are a beer lover as there are so many to choose from compared to a lot of places that just have the same 4 beers on tap. The pizzas are also amazing and decent sized portions!

1st visit at hawkill tavern for me , and I've got to say I was suitably impressed, much bigger than I thought, outdoor seating for the brave ,on entry plenty of seating available,as for the bar a good selection of beers, wines and spirits, then went upstairs to find more seating plus 4 American pool tables, as for the staff very friendly and helpful, all in all a really pleasant experience and will definitely be going back .

  • Rob Whitaker

Cracking selection of beers... but sometimes you get your Beer served in pop glass, bar staff mostly ok but some seem bored and not very personable.. men’s loo not had hand soap for 2 weeks.. lots of potential.... it’s the beer that draws us in.. even if sometimes served in kids pop glasses. Dear Owner, thanks for your reply... the glasses we got our Virtuous served in were like Milk Shake glasses... As per the pic..

On way home with friend. Decided to stop for a drink to cool from the heat (30 degrees this day). As soon as we both walked in got turned away - she was carrying her dinner for later that evening with her. Staff was scared she was going to eat it yet had said she was just carrying it and planned to eat at home. Got dirty looks from female staff named jasmine and rolled eyes. Poor from the staff.

Really enjoyed the smorgasbord of food we ordered, beer is good and staff have gotten into their roles pretty well now. Rugby and football was on while we visited - while we're not interested in it, I'm happy to report volume was well controlled. We could hold a conversation without problem whilst the speakers were up enough for those who wanted it. Our second time visiting for food, and we will be back.

  • wendie waterworth

Very disappointed. Lovely evening so took my dog for a walk and wanted to call in for a drink and food with friends. Unfortunately we found that dogs were not allowed in after 7pm. A very long dry and hungry walk home. Shame that there is not an allocated inside area that you can take dogs on an evening..especially when it is such a large space and it was so quiet in there.

  • Craig Hirst

Great bar with a massive beer selection, both craft ale and traditional real ales. Lager, wine, cider all appeared extensive both not sampled by me. Food is street food / snack type but was well cooked and delivered quickly and hot. Great atmosphere and helpful staff, really enjoyed it.

Visited for the first time with my 2 children. Found out that Thursdays are 50%off food, so we got 2 pizzas and doughballs for around £12. Service was great, food came quickly and was lovely. Great tasting pizza, fresh dough base and lots of toppings. The decor inside is modern and welcoming, with 4 large TV. We will be back!

  • Bob Dunning

Wow! The power of a referb. Hawhill Tavern has undergone a mother of all makeovers and has become the most attractive venue of all the pubs in Guiseley. Good choice of ales at good prices. Excellent atmosphere. First visit in 18 years, now I will be going every time I am out for a beer in Guiseley.

Was ok, took the kids up to watch football but had who I believe is the manager (feminine bloke) constantly watching them, reminded us 35 minutes before they had to go that kids are not permitted past 7pm. Felt ushered out and we knew what time we had. Had 2 flat pints and atmosphere was drab

  • Gary Suttle-Burton

Strange night .watched a bouncer coming on strongly to a middle-aged couple because her dog was under a table outside .They were happy to sell the bottle of wine but then decided they had to drink it elsewhere as it was after 7 . Absolutely over the top behaviour .not a friendly place .

  • Anth Waller

Great atmosphere, great service. Got the barmaids name which was Abbie who served us with a smile all night! Jack is doing a smashing job since becoming the manager. Thursdays quiz are fantastic!

Can't fault this place. I've popped in a couple of times for a late Friday afternoon pool session. It’s normally busy but not too busy at that time (4-7pm). Great range of beers. Nice atmosphere. x4 pool tables. Outside seating in the evening sunshine. Clean and tidy inside.

  • Paul Hayward

Really like what they've done with the place but they need to sort out their ale selection. Was great when they first opened but now they have four ales, all from the same brewery, all pale ales! Get some Saltaire/Kirkstall/Ilkley/Black Sheep going, with some bitters etc!

  • Dan Norton

Jasmine and Emily were incredibly hard-working and offered very professional customer service even when they were extremely busy. Beer good, pool tables good and atmosphere excellent.

Nice modern large wrap around bar, with up to 21 cask ales available. A bit noisy as local football match was being played on many TV screens with inevitable supporter noise levels. No quieter areas for those who wish to chat. Staff very friendly!

  • mungo muff

The staff were really friendly and helpful they get 5* The Pizza was ok but the nachos were so dry mainly just a packet of nachos with the tiniest bit of tomato sauce and non existent mozzarella cheese...and cost £8..very very disappointed...

  • Molly Wright

The sharer board and mini chorizos are amazing and the pizzas are delicious as well. Speed quiz on Thursday is fun and the staff are really personable, especially the ginger manager in his early forties. Top service! More

  • Jacqueline Randall

A gorgeous venue. Recently held by husband's birthday party here and they went above and beyond. The drinks were well crafted and made promptly despite it being so busy. We all had a great time and looking to coming back!

  • Dominic Richardson

  • K C

Cracking pints, especially their own hand pulls!! Plenty of choice of drinks on keg, cask & spirits. £5 for half an hours pool which is brilliant with fantastic seating both inside & out. Friendly staff

  • James Cathcart

Went for pool but fully booked so next time I now know to reserve. They didn't seem bothered to look when a pool table was free. So didn't bother asking, however pints were alright and good layout.

First time eating here. 4 very nice pizza's. Could be a bit warmer in the tavern not the pizzas.... but absolutely nothing wrong with the pizzas. We will be back.

  • Steven Garland-Grimes

Decent choice of draught ales and a good loyalty-scheme offer. Will be better when punters allowed back indoors away from traffic fumes and nithering north wind.
