The Highland Hills branch is located in southeast Dallas, near the 45/20 merge, on Bonnie View just south of Camp Wisdom/Simpson Stuart. The neighborhood isn't as nice as it appears on the surface. The library is new, modern without being ostentatious; beautifully designed and landscaped. A huge parking lot with very easy access for the handicapped. The library is designed horizontally, meaning that as you enter the books are to your left and right. Straight ahead are 24 desktop computers slightly cramped together on two long tables. To the right is a good-sized adult fiction section and a surprisingly small children's. They do have a number of circular hassock-type chairs for the kiddos which look comfy and cute. They remind me of big red toadstools. One minor quibble is that the ends of the bookshelves aren't labelled. To the left are the CDs, nonfiction, Afro-American, Spanish language and young adult sections. There are floor-to-ceiling windows comprising the back (north facing) wall, with chairs alone or with tables all along - the whole length of the library. The bathroom is very clean and spacious. Even the privacy screen is something to behold. The library seems somewhat underutilized, which is a shame but as a result is very quiet. I recommend you pay a visit if you're in the area.

Library assistant VERY HELPFUL. "I VOTED TODAY, I USUALLY DO EARLY VOTING !! DART ZOOM/ GOLINK IS A BIG FAILURE FOR MY COMMUNITY. I DON'T NEED TO BE MONITORING. I'M DISABLE AND WALK WITH CANE/WITH A SEAT. DART HAS LET ME AND MY COMMUNITY SAD, AND HAVE LET US ALL OUT OF THE PUBLIC RIDERSHIP OF TRANSPORTATION, WHICH REALLY "SUCKS. GOLINK NEED TO BE DISBANDED FROM MY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. THEY CAN NOT "READ THE MAP"!!??? UNHAPPY RIDER ❣️

The library is nice. However, as previous comments mentioned it is very noisy. Children and teenagers use this facility as a place to hang out rather than treating it as an actual library. From my experience none of the workers here say anything to quiet them down. If you’re looking for a quiet place to get work done this is not it.

im a parent sitting in the library to see that some of the staff act like there not at work. The children that enter the library are out of control. i dont see why there is security when everyone is doing what they want to do. i stated that the library is out of control and in return i got " tell me about it"

Geezus!! This is a new library so it's nice. THE DOWN SIDE IS IT'S NOISY LIKE A DAYCARE! I had my earphones in listening to music and I was still distracted by kids talking at a volume comparable to a playground. Maybe the employees are TOO nice and should educate these kids on manners when in a library.

Very nice library! However, I agree with another reviewer. I've been to a lot of different libraries and this is the first I've seen so many older kids just hanging out to play like it's a playground or recreation center. Very disappointing for such a nice place.

The library told me that do you have to be your little brother or cousin who has to be seven or older, and they’re just trying to play at the back of my library, but they’re very quietly and they kicked us out

The highland hills library has a lot of programs they even serve lunches to after school kids and they have nice staff members the volunteers know how to make the kids have fun stop by there

Door to door service. The librarians serve you and come to the car. Don't know what they do for walkers or bus riders though. Call to find out.

This library is close to my house and I always get great service. The staff are nice and don't mind helping. I like I can fax/scan documents.

It is an OK library. There are not many options, though. Tried to study, but kids were making noise. The staff were very friendly.

It was great, It's Election Time. Today is the last day of voting..Election Day will be on May 1st. This Saturday.. 7am to 7pm

Omg the computers are so ridiculously slow. Its a library, and you can't utilize the computers for anything of importance smh.

They are always helpful and make copies for free at this time.I believe its their way of helping the community..
