I needed to Have the Name of 6 polices who had worked with my case before but Blanss ( front desk) just confirmed only C Nelson had written almost them. I had 3 reports regarding my case because I had met 7 polices in 3 different times. Blanss was very angry at me when I requested another police to talk about it and she did not permit me to meet any another police officer.( ??? ). non- sense. When I requested a Vietnamese speaker, the police just give me to talk on phone. I did not want to tell a story, I want to make a conversation between the police officers, another party and I but they did not help me. A Vietnamese police Nghiep Bui told me They had no Translator, I must arrange by myself (?). I feel be killed when I can talk but they make me quiet( because I had no any Translator to express or provide specific details) they didn’t follow their policy. I had called the police and waited about 3 hours. I really needed police officer to help following the instructions of supervisor ( name), but I Had met Duy Pham on phone, he told me he just come and someone told him to call me back my home because no police will come(?). He confirmed with reason : CIVIL MATTER. I did not accept their result because I had not never sued another party to court yet, had no lawyer, had no judge, had no results. Nobody had right to say so.polices must come. Their staff at station always makes me to wait 30 minutes while they was typing and no customers before me. No responsibilities. The worst services that I’ve ever metIt is very embarrassing that the Midwest station only received 2 stars. Police officers are supposed to be here to protect and serve us ( citizens). I met with several police officers on different occasions, they really lack knowledge and experience base on Houston police department policies.

My experience from Houston Police Department Midwest Patrol Station is GREAT! I visited HPD Midwest Patrol Station multiple times recently to ask questions and advices regarding a traffic accident I got involved several days ago. When I first visited the patrol station on 01/19/2018, a police officer, Officer Rodas-Arias, in the front desk, appeared to be very busy dealing with multiple phone calls and documents by himself. However, in between phone calls, Officer Rodas-Arias kindly welcomed me to assist/help. I explained my needs and he kindly looked for the information for me and advised me to come back on 01/21/2018. 2nd visit: I visited at around 2 pm on Sunday, 01/21/2018 and a young male Asian police officer (mid-20s?) kindly welcomed me. He attentively listened to my needs and looked for the right police officer in charge. That young police officer also provided me a phone number I may need to contact in order to solve my needs. I could also meet the police officer I wanted to talk with from my previous visit. 3rd visit: I needed to meet again the police officer and revisited. When I got in to the building at around 2 pm on 01/22/2018, a lady officer (?) kindly welcomed me and Officer Rodas-Arias in the front desk remembered and welcome me with a bright smile. After a moment, the police officer I needed to talk came out and welcomed me, kindly answered for my questions, and advised me. Although I am still trying to look for (possible) evidence related to the traffic accident I got involved, I could have a warm memory from the multiple police officers based on HPD Midwest Patrol Station. Thank you for all of your service to civilians and Houstonians!

On a Saturday afternoon I went there to report a hit-and-run incident that took place two days prior within the city. Before that I had called the HPD number and was advised to go to the nearest police sub-station to file the case. After a 40-mins drive I was standing in front of the only officer in the front desk handling phone calls and walk-in civilians. First he made me sit about 15 minutes. Then he called me up but from the beginning he tried to find ways to avoid taking in the report. He suggested there are other HPD offices closer to my place but he found none. Then he suggested my going back one and half hours to the location of the incident and calling the non-emergency number so that a police officer can be dispatched there. I explained to him the effort I have already put in and the additional effort required to do what he suggested compared to the minor damage my vehicle has suffered. Regarding the instruction I got calling HPD number he disregarded saying "wrong information given by civilian staff"! He bluntly said he cannot help me and I should try his suggestion. I walked outside and called the HPD direct number again and the person answered repeated the previous instructions I had received and after hearing what the officer had told me exclaimed "that officer is lying!". While on the call I looked up another police station and got the confirmation it is open 24-hours. I went there about half an hour later and managed to file the report! My experience tells me the culture at this police station is not serving the community but doing whatever to avoid work!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STATION, I WENT TO FILE MY FIRST POLICE REPORT AND OFFICER MOSES AT THE FRONT WAS EXTREMELY RUDE HE SEEM MAD THAT I WAS THERE ,SIR IS YOUR JOB TO TAKE MY REPORT. I ASK HIM A QUESTION HE ANSWER WITH AN ARROGANT ATTITUDE, LIKE I SAID MY FIRST REPORT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT GOES ON. I WILL NEVER RETURN HERE I WAS TOLD BY AN OFFICER FRIEND THAT I CAN FILE A REPORT ANYWHERE. I WAS SO UPSET ABOUT BEING A VICTIM OF CRIME INSTEAD THIS PERSON MADE IT WORSE. NOT HELPFUl AT ALL, All THEY CARE is THEIR paycheck from what I saw. WE PAY OUR TAXES CITIZENS DESERVE BETTER SERVICE.

We went to do a police report and had to wait for us to be attended which was fine. But then afterwards we were treated rudely. While filing the police report, the police officer was disruptive and inconsiderate. She failed to listen and concluded with a “it was your fault”. She did not bother to listen to the issue at hand and rephrased everything in a way to make us guilty. Don’t come here unless you want to be told off like a clueless child. If I could put a negative to the stars, I would.

Absolutely the worst I called to have someone show up due to being rear ended by an uninsured driver it’s been over 3 hours and no one has shown up. 5 police unit has passed by us, just ridiculous. Seems like their all busy trying to give ppl tickets, thank god I’m just passing though, they need to do better. The 911 dispatcher is also disgustingly rude as well.

First time filing a police report and I believe it should be a little more private. I was made to file my report in a lobby with other clients waiting to file theirs who could hear everything I said and the police officer was also loud. When I asked for a room to talk to an officer she said no. Very unprofessional and such as shame for a big city like Houston.

The most unpolite people and most awful attitude. My sister is missing and the officer could care less because she stated I need to make this report and I leave at 1pm! Dont expect to get acknowledged the officer was attending someone who came after me. The structure of this place is im hourly based I can care less of whats going on with society.

Called to get information on an accident and was asked by officer alejandro to call back in 20 minutes because she was finishing a report and was getting ready to leave and that maybe when i call back someone else can help me. i was a little taken back to hear that to say the least. very unprofessional in my opinion.

  • Hellen Corea

They are very rude and unprofessional, I called because a 18 wheeler crashed my husband with my baby in there , and the police officer that picked up the call hang up on me while I was telling him my husband was getting back pain , and we waited for 3 hours and no police show up

  • Tughral Khan

Worst place to go file a report. Front desk staff is utterly rude. The officer name was C. Maldonado. Ya'll be better off by not filing a report. I got into a car wreck and waited approximately 2.5 hours but no police unit showed up.

Beautiful building, one of the Houston Police Departments best looking police stations! The guy that designed it must have put a lot of thought into the layout and design, and is probably really good looking!

  • Dominik Tyrrell

Very unhelpful and unconcerned. Took almost 4 hours to come out even after I expressed that I felt like my safety was at risk. Waste of tax payers dollars.
