I was previously a proud customer of Hudson's Ba y until the past few months. I purchased a couch and ottoman at the beginning of the year and it was delivered at the end of Feb. When it arrived there was a tear in the Ottoman which was acknowledged with the delivery individuals and reported to customer service. I recieved confirmation by email that the issue had been assessed and a replacement would be scheduled for delivery. So far I was happy and impressed. The exchange delivery was delayed due to Covid which I understood and respected. However when the updated delivery date was scheduled it didn't come. I recieved a phone call saying they were leaving my house because no one answered the door despite the fact that 3 people were home and the doorbell never rang. I called immediately and explained the situation and was told they would reach the delivery truck and send them back which also didn't happen. This was in the spring and to this day I still do not have the replacement ottoman. I have called and spoken with different customer service individuals who keep telling me that they will contact the warehouse for an update but I never get one. I have asked to speak with a manger and wait on hold and am told that the manager cannot give me any different information and I have to wait for a follow up call that I never get from them and I have to keep chasing. I believe that good customer service shows not when things are going well but when there is an issue and Hudson's Bay gets a fail for that because I don't believe that anyone cares or will do anything about this so I don't feel I can trust them especially for big purchases.

( LOCATIONS) ( CF MARKVILLE MALL AND SCARBOROUGH TOWN CENTRE) I love the bay great quality but it's expensive. All different kinds of brand names. It's a Luxurious store. I want to take a nap in one of their beds. Unfortunately they play the same music too much it seems every time I go, they have the same music on, if you go there often it gets on your nerves please change it?! They definitely need more staff,so you can pay for your stuff but also to help you find what you're looking for, that's the problem these days not enough staff in most stores. Nice place to go at Christmas, great quality, even so most stuff is overpriced. The bay at Markville Mall, the staff are friendly. The bay at Scarborough Town centre, the staff is not that friendly,there are some that are friendly but I find the majority are stuck up and don't smile and are just snobby. That is not everyone. But I notice the difference between how they treat you compared to Markville Mall.

I purchased a floor model fridge. After it was delivered to my home and was unwrapped I found their was broken glass all over the inside of the fridge, with missing shelves. The Bay did give me the option to have it returned but i declined thinking it was just broken glass. months later when the service tech came to replace the shelves he suggested I return the fridge, I then called the Bay and they would not do the return because it was too long after delivery. If the service tech came quicker, I guess they would have did the return. Now the ice maker is leaking. note to self, if the fridge was smashed on the ground don't accept it. Not sure why the bay would of delivered it to me in the first place. They should of called me telling me it was dropped so i could of made other arrangements.

Went there today to look for clothes for my son for a wedding. Upon selecting my items I looked around for a cash. Passed two associates chatting about their day not aknowledging anyone that was shopping around them. Walked around for 5 mins looking for a cash with someone at it and still none while the two ladies were still chatting at the cash in the children's section. Put my items down and left the store buying nothing. Went to children's place 3 stores down and what a change in service. The sales lady was friendly and immediately told me about their sales and even upsold some clothes for my daughter as well.

I'm only rating them 1 star because I have to in order to post a comment. But really, I would give zero stars. The customer service was that bad. I needed help in the bra dept. One saleswoman flat out said to go see someone else even though she was working in that department. When I returned to her because the other saleswoman was busy with a line up at the cash, she said to go back and wait. After waiting in the lineup, the woman at the cash looked through one rack for me and then told me I have to look for myself because she needs to go to the cash. I refuse to give my money there so I walked out.

If I could give a 0, I would. I've been into this location many times in recent weeks and not 1 time have I been asked if I needed help. I make eye contact with more than one employee and their instant reaction is to make eye contact and then look busy. I am dressed most times in a dress shirt and pants so I don't look like bum when I walk in that won't spend a dime. Terrible customer service and I will NEVER give this place a dime from this point on. This location makes you feel like you're walking through a ghost town.

Hudson's Bay Place d'Orleans is one of the big box stores that managed to keep it together after the pandemic. The reason why I'm saying this is because they respected the guidelines and kept the floors immaculate. Came here looking for work pants and found an attractive mannequin display. Promptly tried them on and was satisfied. Turns out the pants were on sale and ended up saving 45$ on men's beige CAT's. Kloee and her weekend day time colleagues were very helpful and delivered great customer service!

I purchased outdoor dining chairs online at the bay during the Covid shutdown. I was told returns would be no problem by the sales associate. I now need to do a return and they will not process the return and have no TIME LINE or REFUND. Buyer be aware that this process may take an excessive amount of time before you can get your money back! (Possibly months!) They are not honoring the written contract that was given to me. The kicker is that it was processed and issued it to me during the pandemic!

I’ve been shopping at this store for a long time. In the past couple of years the service is been declining. Last time a bought a sweater at Olsen. I asked the clerk several times if it is final sale as I didn’t have time to try it on. She reassure me that it is not. The sweater did not fit me , tried to return it to find out that I am not able to as it is “final sale”. Now, I ended up with an expensive sweater that I won’t use. Please hire reliable customer service staff as this is not acceptable.

I love going here and trying on clothes. No one bothers me and I can take in as much as I want at a time. It's a great way to see what styles suit me and what doesn't. The staff are usually pleasant but it's often hard to find one on the floor. They are starting to make improvements in terms of having a set cash area on both floors of the store. Makes it easier to cash out. The store is looking dated though and there are so many items on the floor.

The store is poorly organized. The ladies clothing racks were overfilled so it was difficult to look at things. The fitting rooms were dusty, dirty, and had empty hangers along with unwanted clothing hanging in every stall. The highlight was the Clinique counter and perfume counter staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They each asked if they could help with smiles on their faces and provided me with options and good advice and.

Men's selection severely limited, with a strong bias toward fake athletic wear. Poor sizing availability in what was left of premium items. Women's side better, but still not ideal. I visited on Black Friday and there were Black Friday event displays set up at entrances featuring vinyl records beside giant banners proclaiming deep discounts. Imagine my surprise to discover the vinyl was priced well ABOVE retail. Try harder, Bay.

The Bay has interesting and quality merchandise at inflated prices. Other than the convenience of purchasing an item in the moment and taking it home....the price gauging leaves the consumer feeling "stung" ... Service by individuals varies... on the Quebec side they were downright rude and no eye contact. On the Ontario side...it takes forever to get assistance whether at the cash-checkout or whenever asking for shoe sizes.

Disappointed. Having been in a Hudson Bay store for a few years, I was not overly impressed with inventory and lack of good sale deals. Looking for men's clothing but there was a lack of options. Could not find any thing so I left after about an hour of looking. Went home and went online to a specific brand supplier and easily found what I wanted plus it was on sale! Should have not wasted my time driving there.

It's a dismal place to shop. It really could be the star anchor of Place D'Orleans, yet it just looks like one large messy clearance centre with mixed up racks and very little choice. I can't comment on housewares, as I didn't visit that department. Could the Bay be closing down soon? If suburban shoppers just meakly accept mediocrity, then the Bay Place D'Orleans is their destination.

This location is one of my favourites. Staff are friendly and are always willing to help. Lots of great varieties and deals throughout the departments in the store. Shoutout to Patrick in Home/Furniture. Patrick has helped me buy multiple pieces of home and furniture items the last few months and has been extremely professional and a pleasure to work!

Very disorganized store. They have great items but very few for such a large scale store. Empty displays, unappealing racks and clothing tables. Thankfully staff is very mindful of COVID measures. They take time to count people entering and exiting the store and hand sanitizer is available almost everywhere.

The Bay in Place d'orleans mall was great. Received great service. Went in today and lots of items on sale. Bought handbags and clothes at great prices. Used bay Mastercard and received additional 15% off on top of the marked down price. Parking was also easy and not stressful compared to other malls.

Seems to be changing by adding other retailers' products into their mix, e.g., Lord and Taylor, FAO Schwartz. Have also additional displays in the aisles between the counters so it's starting to get crowded in the same floor space. Noticed new brands in cookware too. Will have to see how this ends up.

Little girl very disappointed for Xmas. The back of the head on this doll is disconnected and wires are showing. Store is no longer selling them so now we are stuck with this one. We bought this months ago, cannot return to buy at another store. #babyalivesweettears I’d rate a 0 if it was an option.

Love that we can get upscale brands in Orleans, and their cashmere and fine wool is fantastic. Great sales! The staff dont seem to know the inventory and seem frazzled often. The visual environment and is worn out and uninviting leading to a low budget shopping experience but at high price points.

If you're having a sale you should advise on the flyer, your website and in store if it doesn't apply to certain items. Drove almost an hour to go buy specific items after calling the Orleans location and not being able advised they men's clothing wasn't included in the scratch and save deal

This is the bay at Place Orleans and I find the store has gone downhill over the last few years. Seems junky and the selection of mens shoes and boots is very limited. Mens clothing seems to be ok but i think stores like Mark's work warehouse has a better selection and a nice store.

We did well on our Christmas shopping except when we got to central cash and discovered the Tommy jeans had a criptic price tag that indicated it was not the same attractive discount as the Tommy sweater. I suppose we need to become more educated as to how their pricing works.

Surprisingly varied selection. This Canadian company is a jewel that we should treasure before we lose it. If we want to keep what it means to be Canadian alive we should all try to keep places like this in business. I love the selection of winter clothes and housewares.

Well organized and well-stocked store. The clothing is both fashionable and up-to-date. The one downside of this store is going to be customer service. There is the lack of staff for such a large store or they are just hard to find when you really need them.

The Hudson's Bay store at The Orleans Shopping Center is easy to access add staff is ready to help you out when you need it, a rare commodity in these times. You'll find whatever you're looking for and at a great price. My wife and I highly recommend it.

I really didn't like my experience in the beauty department at that location. They didn't have my shade and the employees lack interests in assiting me. I will go to different locations but not this one even though it is near my house.

With so many different sales for different brands it is hard to figure out final sale price. I could only find one inconspicuous price checker and it did not work. They should have multiple price checkers that are well advertised.

Gents apparel are at the 2nd floor with household items like furniture and dishes etc and ladies and kids are the ground floor along with make up items. Store is big but not much crowded at all so have time if you plan to visit.

If you want to waste your time, try calling them....tried different stores in Ottawa and had no luck in finding a human voice. Tried several options and it rang until the system hangs up. No wonder their sales are declining.

It is a lovely store. We moved from NS 5 years ago & when I went into the Hudson Bay store today I felt like I was home. The atmosphere, the high quality, the smells of the perfume counter, it all made me feel nostalgic.

This has been a great store during the pandemic for ordering online. Also, the have great skin care staff who call you when new items come in, so you don't even need to be in store for personalised service.

Great deals of all the other Bay's I've been too. Holding this from five stars is the number of staff on hand. Despite this being better staffed then most other Bay's, it is still a great experience.

I refuse to shop at the orleans location the management staff are very rude was told to move along when asking staff member about neos .I had to give at least one 1 star or would have pressed zero !!

Excellent customer service in Lingerie Department. When my item was unavailable I was encouraged to order it at checkout. My order was delivered to my home,for free, less than 2 days later!
