I highly recommend considering bringing back this foldable sofa, especially for those who may not be familiar with its features. Priced at approximately $300, this furniture piece is an absolute gem, particularly suitable for college students. The versatility of this foldable sofa is truly remarkable. It offers a convenient and space-saving solution, making it ideal for dorm rooms or small apartments. Its ability to transform from a sofa to a bed effortlessly ensures maximum comfort and practicality. Whether you need a spot to lounge or a cozy bed for a good night's sleep, this sofa has got you covered. What makes this furniture even more appealing is its affordability. Priced at around $300, it offers exceptional value for the quality and functionality it provides. As a college student, finding budget-friendly options without compromising on comfort or style can be a challenge. However, this foldable sofa ticks all the boxes, making it a smart investment. Furthermore, the convenience of portability cannot be overlooked. This foldable sofa allows for easy transportation and set-up, perfect for those who may move frequently or need to rearrange their living space. Its lightweight design ensures that you won't struggle with the logistics of moving it around. In summary, for college students or anyone seeking a foldable sofa at an affordable price point, I highly suggest considering this option. Priced around $300, its versatility, comfort, and portability make it a practical choice. Don't miss out on the opportunity to enhance your living space with this fantastic foldable sofa.

Covid has changed my favorite store, sadly. Many issues are out of their control. There were lots of empty shelves and no stock on common items. The store was entirely too crowded, and there was no situational awareness on the part of other customers. We completed our purchases and went back in for meatballs. I love their meatballs and have not had them since February of 2020. They put the vegetarian gravy on mine and they couldn't fix it because they ran out of meatballs. My ligonberry drink was all syrup because the machines were not dispensing water. Once we finished and tried to exit, we discovered you have to retrace your steps and exit through the cash registers. I am a supplemental oxygen user, and had already gone around the entire store. We asked a "coworker" if they could let us out into the main lobby. He did but chastised me the entire time for not using a wheelchair and for coming on one of the busiest days of the week (Sunday because I live 2 hours away). All in all, it was a disappointing return to a store that I last visited as part of my birthday trip! I'll shop online if at all from now on. From the size of the crowd, they won't miss me at all.

We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was a holiday weekend, so I wasn't sure what to expect. When we drove up, the line to get in was wrapped around the side of the building but we drove an hour to be here so...And it wasn't bad! We waited maybe 10 minutes in the line, which was moving steadily and perhaps 3-5 more minutes at the door while the staff changed shifts and discussed things, then we were ushered inside. Everyone is required to wear a mask, customers are counted and limited but the line moved steadily throughout the day from what I could see. People moved with purpose. The restaurant is closed but limited items are available at the snack bar after checkout. The biggest issue is many large ticket items having anything to do with remote learning (bookshelves, desks, office chairs) are temporarily out of stock. Check the website, you might be able to get something shipped from another location. Overall, we had a fun day, got some great ideas for next time, and picked up a few smaller items that we tend to get every time or wish we'd gotten more of last time.

I went here to get parts for the recalled changing table. It is just a couple locks. The website does not say to order them online. I was told the parts can only be ordered online. For a baby item that has been recalled for their safety I don’t see how the parts are not in the store. Additionally I asked about paint and was told they don’t sell paint anymore. Later I went to the website for the parts and decided to search the paint, it was in stock in Charlotte. The employees here are not educated on the ikea line of products well. They over work the employees and this is causing poor customer service, and lots of missed opportunity. Each store should be well equipped at least for safety protocol. Many ikea stores are only one in a state so to have a poor employee base is absolutely terrible. It is not like other big box stores where you can just drive to another and get things resolved.

We absolutely love this store and we try to visit every time we're in town. I really can't wait until the day cares open backup again, because that's my kid's favorite part, so there's really not much for them to do while I shop. The selection of products is always over the top great. We ate at the restaurant, as we usually do and I was a bit disappointed this time, the soda machines were completely down all they had was water and diet soda which tasted awful because it seemed like there was something wrong with that machine too. I really wish they had more signage explaining that they do not offer bags because it's not something that people automatically know and it would be nice to know before I pay, then I have to go back and buy bags. The clearance items were an extra fun surprise I was able to get pillow covers from my entire dining room at 1.99 each which was awesome!

The wife, the daughter and I made the trip to IKEA. Like most times we've been there, it was quite busy. But somehow, someway there always seems to be parking available. 3 dressers, numerous baskets, cupboard organizers, stuffed animals and 10 jars later we made our way to checkout. It was quite the wait but it was a Saturday. Once we were up there and scanning items, it went pretty quickly. Our only hiccup this time around was two of the dressers were not in the aisles. They were labeled as available at the store about finding them was a task. After giving up we seek assistance. These particular dressers were in the back and could only be purchased with the assistance of an employee. We were given a paper to scan, so we could pay for them and then we needed to head to pick up. An estimated 20 minute wait was only about 5 minutes after I put everything else in the car.

This place is awesome. I just wish it was closer. They have the most effective business model. There are so many types of utensils, cabinets, storage bins, blankets, and more available. You can almost set up an entire home with everything available in the store. They also have 2 places inside the store to get something to eat and a Swedish grocery store section. The self check was a little slow when trying to pay, but everything else was great. Be sure to look around the warehouse area and make note of prices because sometimes you can find some very good markdowns that are only available in store. The online prices will remain retail price until they go on clearance. Be prepared to spend a few hours here as the store is enormous. I guarantee I wasn't able to see it all in the 4 hours I spent in here. I will definitely be coming back!

Ikea is a great place for an impromptu family day trip. Beyond a furniture store or even a showroom, Ikea allows its customers to experience the inspiration that comes from simple, clean, and thoughtful design. My children, now in primary school, felt invited and at home in its spaces. This led to an inclusive experience where they weren't bored or looking for an exit door. At any point that a bathroom or meal was needed, it was easy to get to as there is an excess of maps to lead the way. The staff is always nearby but mostly out of sight, and there is always zero pressure to buy anything. The store itself has improved in several areas over the years, increasing ease of navigation. However, I would never recommend walking into an Ikea to quickly grab something as the store is not designed for that kind of traffic.

  • Monica

I ordered a whole bedroom set from there a month and a half ago. I had the same piece delivered damaged 3 times in a row. I had to wait a week each time for a new one to be delivered. I even drove 30 min to Ikea to attempt to pick up the damaged piece replacement, and they refused to give it to me in person. They finally agreed to offer me a partial refund 3 weeks ago, since they are incapable of sending furniture in the new condition I paid for. The refund has yet to come through. Every time I call no one seems to know what’s going on. I’ve been told to wait 7 days, then I was told 7-10 days, now I’m being told 7-14 days. I will NEVER purchase anything from this store and I will be making sure to tell all my friends and family how much this company SUCKS. Thank you for wasting my time and money!

  • Brittney

The staff at this store were rude and unhelpful from the moment we walked in. They were more interested in talking to each other than helping customers. When you did see an employee in the show room they had earphones in and were completely ignoring customers. I’m in customer service and that should be unacceptable in a customer service job. They are there to help customers, it’s in their job description, not act bothered when they’re asked for help. I am expected to give good customer service at my job and I do expect the same in return. There was nothing but rude employees here. I hope that whoever is managing this place actually reads reviews and does a better job training and holding people accountable, management obviously needs work also or this wouldn't be acceptable. Do better everyone.

This location, in comparison to the one in Virginia, is larger and boasts an expansive parking lot. The restaurant is spotless and offers delectable options like meatballs and fries. I'm particularly fond of the diverse dessert selection they have. However, like most other IKEA stores, the variety of choices is somewhat limited. Their kitchen items are of good quality, but when it comes to furniture, I have my doubts about their durability. The furniture's quality doesn't quite measure up. Getting assistance from an expert at this location can be challenging. The departments are typically understaffed, and the few available employees are always surrounded by customers. On weekends, it tends to get quite crowded, but the restrooms remain clean and functional.

  • Ramon Martinez

There's a reason everything at this store is inexpensive: any furniture you buy will fall apart within six months. They sell junk products for college kids, but anyone looking for real quality products will be better off shopping at a real furniture store. The company's customer service is also some of the worst I've ever experienced. They refused to send me a replacement piece for a bedset that was damaged out-of-the-box, and demanded I repackage the bed and either pay to ship it to them or make a 140-minute round-trip visit to their store, all because they can't vouch for the quality of their own products. At this point I'm more comfortable with the quality and shopping experience of buying furniture at Walmart, which is really a sad state of affairs.

Had not been to this store for some time. Memories, good and bad, came forth. Selections are widest and with more variations than elsewhere. Pricing very good. But pay attention, as in due diligence in pricing and exact product to product (as in material content, etc.) The bad? Automated checkouts, with more closed than open, during supposedly busiest time of day! Then the actual automated (as in can't skip the questions) check out. Zip code, $2 drink on your way out? Oh, that explains more closed than open checkouts ..... work up their thirst! Slowest automated checkout machines I have yet experienced. Directions to assemble for what I bought? Worst remembrance. Their directions are still the worst I have ever encountered!

  • Mar Pepin

I love IKEA. I came looking for a bookshelf but I left with some extra goodies. The store itself is like other IKEAs I’ve been to, massive and busy. We got a bookshelf and it was easy to build. The restaurant was busy but we got through fairly quickly, and I got the classic Swedish meatballs plate. After browsing the rest of the store, we got a hot dog. The self checkouts really help with the flow of traffic, we initially were at a regular register but found that the self checkouts moved a lot faster. The prices of the furniture and the food are very reasonable, and I appreciate the amount of plant-based options they offer. All in all, this was a lovely experience and I can’t wait for the next time I get to go!

  • Seth Da Sage (Wonder Boy)

Alright let me be clear - I don't know nothing about the furniture, I ain't come here for that, I came here for the meatballs. And I was not disappointed, you get so many for like 6 dollars and it comes in a meal but you can substitute your sides for anything. As soon as I mentioned the word substitute, the cafe lady said "yes, absolutely" before I could even finish and it was one of the best feelings ever. Loved it. Also, again no furniture , but they just have so many cool little trinkets and thingamajigs scattered around on the bottom floor that you're just like "huh, I can use this" and it's super cheap. I got the roadway rug for like 15 bucks (pls ignore the happy meal). Anyway, go check it out on

We went on a Saturday, and even though it was pretty crowded, we were able to easily look around and get what we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had trouble finding something in the loading area, and a staff member quickly helped us. Another staff member took my cart and put it up for me after we had loaded our vehicle. The restaurant was fast, and the staff were friendly there as well. Even with a limited diet, I was able to find something to eat. The veggie balls with rice and green beans were really good! IKEA is the only place we're able to get good sturdy furniture that fits our budget. It's always fun to shop here!

  • Isabelle Kelley

I couldn't have had a better experience at the store. I did order my item online but when we nearly got the end of building the chest of drawers, we realized we were given 18 of one type of screw and missing the correct ones. We drove a little out of our way to go to our nearest Ikea but we were very blessed to be helped by Z. She was not only helpful but courteous and polite. She went above and beyond what would have been expected of someone working in customer service. I'm happy to say that even though this was my first time shopping from Ikea, the missing screws situation did not put me off and more so, because of Z

  • M Sumner

This is a 5-star place, but I give it 4 because it is so ridiculously busy all day every day and every time I go to check out there are at least 5-10 unopened registers. So the final huge hassle to get out should be avoided with some additional staff. The weekdays are of course much less busy. On the good notes- it’s got all you cheap IKEA stuff you love and of course the super yummy lunch. We would go just for lunch all the time and that part rocks with the one exception that to get out from lunch you have to walk through the entire downstairs unless you can sneak through the stroller door!

  • Stormart1776

I enjoy spending time in Ikea. They have so much to offer and normally have plenty of inventory; however, the past two visits (I live 35 miles away) they did not have two major items I was looking for. Regardless, the staff is always friendly, and I found plenty of other things to make the trip worthwhile. I was buying the last couch they had listed in inventory for a specific model. The employee ensured their inventory was correct before I paid, so there wouldn't be any surprises. Thanks for taking care of me and going beyond to ensure my time would be valued. Thank you

  • Amanda Mattison

I just don't get what the hype is very strange store.. A store is a Swedish store. But felt kind of like outer space. There was still stuff made in china and not b p a free items. The food area looked very odd... It was not user friendly. You have to pretty much know what you're going for or buy online and pick it up.nothing great. Oh and the person who works the online pick up station was pretty bad. Almost asked for the manager. Our items were right behind them.. they could not find my name or item in their system no matter what I gave them... like wow... very unhelpful.

  • Lo “Lo” Lurkin

I do not recommend shopping here.. The staff is unorganized and slow. I was there 1.5 hours and didn't.even get the other half of the bracket To attach a cabinet to the wall, something that simple, no one can find it. Simple as I'm saying it. No one can find it an hour and a 1/2 missing other jobs. They have doors that look like employees only areas. But they're actually the area that you might need to go to. They make up names for areas like kitchen When there's not A kitchen area in the store. If you have doors in the store to separate the least have a label over head

  • Andrew Straub

Avoid this company at all cost!! Their furniture is garbage. I put the first screw in and the board starts to split damaging the white exterior. I guess you get what you paid for but I could do better at K-mart and they don't even exist!! Then they want to charge me a fee to pick up for a return when they have faulty products. I haven't even gotten to how poor the instructions are. Parts are not labled so it a guessing game based off pictures. Worst decision I made and lesson learn. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS NOT MADE TO LAST!! SEEMS LIKE A SCAM TO ME!!

  • Kimberlee Walgamotte

We have been shopping at Ikea since it's arrival at this location. The food in the cafeteria has gone downhill...and while it isn't terrible, it isn't what it once was. We enjoy the style and value of Ikea's products, but this particular Saturday there were SO MANY PEOPLE here, I couldn't really enjoy strolling the store as I once did. We will continue to purchase from Ikea, but sadly the in person experience is no longer enjoyable. This may say more about me than Ikea...but it is what it is.

  • OLYAROMANOVV

Hello. I am writing to thank you! We are grateful to everyone who helped us solve the refund problem. We are thrilled with Ikea's support on Facebook, we are thrilled with the Ikea store in Charlotte, we have never doubted that Ikea is a cool company. We were supported and not abandoned . And we will recommend Ikea to everyone! Excellent customer service, excellent. The products that Ikea sells, the wonderful people who work there!!! Everything is cool!Guys, keep it up!!! We trust you!

  • V

You have to wait in line for at least 20 minutes to get into the store. Don't try to touch anything inside the store, unless you wear gloves. Because of a lot of people visiting the store, everybody wants to touch all furniture and everything. And it's not possible to clean everything for the staff after every one visiting. It's good to wear gloves and a mask all the time inside the store. After visiting the store I realized it's good to do shopping online.

  • Deborah Conley, REALTOR

So happy to be at ikea and the awesome staff at the Charlotte location even helped my daughter find her phone after the showroom was closed where our babies got carried away playing pretend. Got some great ideas for home in Wilmington and just had a blast because how could you not have a great time at IKEA?! Dreaming of the day they open a store closer to Wilmington, NC!! Thanks to the employees on staff tonight! Y’all are great humans!!

  • Brian Genereux

Thus is one big store loaded with all different kinds of household items and furniture. They also have a coffee shop. There is a cafeteria style restaurant upstairs and I believe a higher end restaurant upstairs also. The feel is definitely eastern European, designs are made to fit into small spaces. We had ice cream on the way out, you cannot beat $1 sundaes, pizza, and hot dogs all for $1. This is located past the registers on the way out

  • HYE RAN KIM

I went to IKEA for the first time. Perhaps because it was a weekday, there weren't many people. The interior was perfect and various interiors caught my eye. I wanted to go back to my solo and decorate my room. There were so many pretty things and I liked the price, so I had an urge to buy them all. But since it's my first time, I just bought what I needed.^^ Lunch is also a simple solution at an inexpensive price. I want to go again.

  • John Riselvato

When I first moved out of the house 12 years ago I came to his Ikea for furniture. 12 later I'm back moving into my own home. To my surprise some how Ikea has kept this place looking brand new and as fun to go through. I had fond memories coming back and I made new ones with this trip. I only live 2 hours away and I almost want to just come back for the lunch, now that they have two types of vegetarian "meat" balls. I love Ikea, ngl.

  • Sun Ray Vibes

Located In the university area of town, This is a really cool furniture store. It’s Swedish themed and you’ll find lots of foriegn words throughout the store. There’s 2 places where customers can dine. One full size cafeteria style restaurant upstairs and a smaller snack counter downstairs. There’s even a childcare area where staff can watch your kids. The best part is the prices are reasonable and the furniture choices are endless.

  • Barb K

OMG I was here during a tornado warning & was sheltered in place with some other customers by some wonderful staff members. My daughter was scared but they helped keep everyone calm. They even offered us water & chocolate bars! So sweet. Cash registers didn't restore so we have to go back another day but they really took care of everyone. Thanks for making the best of a tough situation!

  • Bailey

Don't use order pickup, they will get it wrong. Picked ours up and while we were still in the parking lot we realized there was a box missing for one product. Then, after getting home and beginning to set up our other product, we realized that they gave us 2 of the same boxes, so we had to drive back to get the right box. Would have been easier to get them ourselves.

  • Mooshroom Lady

This place was so cool. It sounds funny but I actually came here as part of a bucket list thing while I was on vacation and I loved it. There is an escalator at the front door that you can take and elevators too if you have difficulty climbing stairs. The store is clean, the cashiers are respectful, and the restaurant area is very nice. I would visit again!

  • Mery M

This review is for the IKEA restaurant not the store and it was my first time eating their food. The salmon with veggies, chicken tenders with fries and garlic toast were yummy. I also loved the Swedish meatballs! You can get free coffee if you have the IKEA family card. There wasn’t any desserts available at dinner time so I will definitely be back soon.

  • Joseph Tallent

Great selection of quality products. Staff are numerous, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Prices are reasonable. Restaurant has nice selection of good food. It’s a large and takes a lot of time to explore. Downside is checking out, limited number of stations with staff though there are workarounds with App but didn’t try those.

  • Bryan Jackson

It's Ikea. What else do you need to know? You know what you're getting into! It's really big. Have your walking shoes on, and be prepared to dodge and weave through the mass of bodies! Other than that, the store is well laid out. Of course, it is laid out to force you to meander through the entire floorplan to get out!

  • Alex W

I absolutely enjoyed just browsing honestly. I have never been into one before and it was a great experience. If you want to be inspired with ideas for your house this is the place to go. I will say I got to a point where I was wanting to see the exit, it seems like it goes on forever. Overall I loved this experience.

  • Shoulder

There are about 10 alien on display. Yet none in stock. Why taunt us? You know it's a popular item. You have thousands in stock of other items. I drove 5 hours. For what? Don't display items you don't have in stock. I came here FOR the alien. IKEA online said delivery not available. In person was my only option.

  • Cindy Byington

First time visiting this location and I was not impressed compared to others. The lines were entirely too long and no one was checking you out at the Marketplace. More self checkouts are needed if they are short staffed and notice to get your Marketplace items BEFORE waiting in long lines would be helpful.

  • Myo Z Oo

This is the best place I go shopping so far in my life. They have everything you need. Good for the big family’s people.if you have a hard time to find something go check here . They have what you looking for. I very it, I will go shopping there again when I have time . You guys should go check it out.

  • Roshni Dilshath

Just walking around the store I get lots of inspiration from here. I travel from Winston to Charlotte. I go only on weekends and the store is well packed. Most of the kitchen stuffs are cheap. I have organized my pantry and kitchen from the things I got from here. Love it!

  • Anna Szabo

Jayson and Timothy were so helpful to me and my friend today as we were shopping for kitchen cabinet lights and KOLBY! WE TRAVELED FROM GEORGIA!!! They deserve a raise for their customer service and genuine enthusiasm about IKEA products. THANK YOU

  • Marty

Saturday was its usual busy self at IKEA but this time we knew what we wanted and we had the furniture pieces shipped instead of dealing with the loading area. So glad we did. It was frenzied out there. Twenty dollars per piece was money well spent.

  • Sharyn Doerwald

Haven't been to Ikea in a few years. Picked up a few small things and a wine rack. At 77 I have just about all that I need. I did get the garlic press, love it. Also a mirror in the "as is" section. Can't find anything wrong with it. Nice and heavy.

  • Susannah Duerr

some items didn’t have displays (and some displays didn’t have buyable items) and the store was a bit of a mess, but considering we came on a Sunday evening and it had been through the madness of a weekend’s worth of shopping, it wasn’t bad

  • Patrick Murphy

Tgis place is huge! It’s got so much to look at. There is something here for everybody. You can eat here and buy things for every room in your house. Service is good. Employees have answers and are very nice. Highly recommend this place.

  • Kimber Wisener

If you haven’t been, it’s probably time ya go! Plan to spend all afternoon there! And wear good walking shoes. Lots of organization, home goods, furniture, room ideas, kitchen wares & storage essentials to choose from. Go get you some!

  • Loida Soronio

I have complained 3 times regarding my purchase of Seglaro - Umbrella product. While trying to follow up the status of my case twice told via chat option that there is such no case number! Running a month now without clear resolution!

  • Christine Wei

We loved looking around at all the different rooms they designed! I wish I could have one of their designers for my home After looking around, we had dinner. The meatballs are always good, and the almond cake is fantastic!

  • John Seay

Store is laid out very well. Everything has price tags and employees are very helpful. The food was good and lived up to the hype. It can kinda feel like a maze sometimes but has lots of items and deals worth checking out.

  • Elizabeth Conroy

First time there! Overall it was enjoyable and probably will be back in the future. The only complaint is that once you go downstairs you can't get back up to get to the cafe without going through the whole thing again.

  • Maria Arauz

I really like coming to Ikea, there are always many beautiful and practical things for the home. To come to the store you definitely have to come with a lot of time, it is very big and has many beautiful things to see

  • Solly Ebrahim

Incredible variety of furniture satisfying most tastes. Items are tastefully displayed with many ideas on how to lay out your home. Lots of Al walking through the ‘maze’ of furniture. Check out is efficient and easy

  • Children's Advocate

Decent, do-it-yourself furniture. Only recommend if you’re shopping in store. Don’t bother if you plan to get items delivered; had to reschedule a delivery 3 times. Still waiting for it to be delivered…we’ll see.

  • David Parsons

Great store. The prices are very reasonable. The design is top notch. I can't think of a better place to visit for design ideas or furnishing a home. It's like Disney. Everyone needs to go there once.

  • C L

I went for the first time to the one on charlotte nc. I use to go to the one in NJ years ago. Olive going to ikea, I enjoy the time. They should open another one in Raleigh, Cary or Fayetteville NC

  • Pavel Romanov

This a wonderful place. There is convenient location, kind and helpful staff. High quality goods. This store really helps to renew your old life and start new. Recommended for visit! …

  • Kimberly Chamberlain

The merchandise is beautiful. Would have been wonderful if someone had been available to help me so I could have purchased what I wanted. I just went somewhere else to make my purchase.

  • josh B

All of the checkout lines are diy too. Then they have the nerve to get mad when the lines don't form right. They want to charge for bags as well. I hate that this is the new normal.

  • Nurse Koko

I love IKEA. Everything is so affordable. The store is clean and organized. Be prepared to stay for at least 2 to 3 hours and then go over to the bistro to eat Some delicious food.

  • A. David

Fun place with some good values. The food prices seem too good to be true because they are. The food is less than average. Charlotte has many good restaurants but at normal prices.

  • Bhargavi C M

There are multiple home decor and furnishing goods which are affordable and good quality.. If you are looking to furnish your house, this is the go to place.. Highly recommended

  • RUBY INMAN

Oh wow! That's what I can say. I loved it here. I'm already ready to go back, it's a little over a two-hour drive but so worth it. It has so much to pick from.

  • Denise Seidensticker

Things were well stocked, clean. Food was good, fountain drinks were out of service but had other drinks available. Found some wall art on clearance, bonus!

  • Explore With Who

Big big store first time exploring was amazing only problem I actually was getting one thing and the line was crazy so walked out empty handed.

  • Zachary Neal

Huge variety of home goods, furniture, cuisine, and tasty treats. Nice and clean atmosphere. A Go-To for sure.

  • Subodh Poudel

I go there to get lost. Minimum 2-3 hours is what I spend inside the store. Great place to visit

  • Y BAE

Clean and relaxing shopping place. We always stopped by the restaurant to get Swedish meatballs.

  • Ajimon Thomas

Ended up buying two milsbo tall cabinets from my plants.

  • Celeste Danbury

Very organized and fun for a productive day out
