Friendly looking, this Milnerton club was visited in July by a young friend (18) to whom I recommended trying out gymnastics between 2 terms of her Gr12 study programme. She then selected the highest monthly rate (R780) and paid on top a registration fee.. in order to limit her test to 1 month, being understood she could resume after matric exams (December). Instead of taking a longer duration contract, offered at R225 per month for a scholar of 18 (see official rates). She just went ther 1 month - as planned. To her GREAT SURPRISE, she received payment reminders in October - much later after the stoppage - and that Club was asking for payment of additional months at the special high rate of 1 'month to month'. That is a shame ! I am doctor of laws and I will help her to suit that club if it does not put an end to that way of doing. I will also keep the head office informed.

I'm not one to complain,but the maintenance of Ignite Fitness Milerton is really on a decline. I worked as an FI at the gym when it opened around end of 2018 to around March 2019 and over the years the maintenance conditioning just isn't being up kept. Many major machines are missing bolts,screws or don't work properly. Cable machines are sticky and most machines don't have stickers anymore to see what each plate weights. The fabric on a lot of the machines needs to be replaced as its ripped. Considering moving gyms,as it seem the owners or main people in charge are reluctant to put money into fixing things properly. Cleaning staff and front desk staff are always helpful and friendly though. Amazing gym with such potential,just sad to see it going downhill more and more from someone who has been around the gym for over 4years.

Never as busy as other big gyms so you're always guaranteed to get your machine. They've now opened a little cute coffee spot inside the gym. They've removed the access card function so you can only enter the gym via the app which is an annoyance if you don't have a phone or like me, have limited space on my phone and details haven't been synced yet so we have to manually be let in. Unsure if they have generators yet as that was an issue during lowdshedding as the bathroom would be pitch black with 1 LED light for the entire bathroom and the water dispenser doesn't work. All in all, a beautiful gym that can complete with big gyms around

Staff is friendly and good atmosphere however their lack of maintenance is TERRIBLE! If a machine breaks takes weeks even months to fix. When fixed done cheaply. Further their tracking of vitality points do not load. Soon all equipment will be broken then off to Virigin Active as it is same price when on Discovery. Only reason gave 2 stars was cause of friendly staff. Maybe they will fix the gym and not be cheap then I can change this review untill then....

Pleasantly surprised. I thought the pics online were all hype, but the place looks good in person and most of the equipment is in good condition which is great. Also also, good music selection. Won't need my earphones going forward. That's one less thing to remember to pack. No steam room sadly. I enjoy a good nap in the steam. Aaaaand no pics... Cause I'm not looking to get cancelled OBVIOUSLY. Not that I have anything to cancel hahahaha so there's that.

Have been gyming here since the gym openend. Since then the quality of the machines have gone down and become really bad. There seems to be no maintenance plan for the gym equipment. I have seen the same machines broken for months at a time with no repairs done. Cables on the cable machines are worn, pullies are worn. If the machine isn't worn something is bent and the list goes on. Really considering moving to another gym soon.

Don't recommend. Signed a 1 year contract, they have been billing me every month (nearly 1 year) since the contract expired which I'm not paying. Accounts & billing department is a joke, they desperate for clients and money. Rather just pay more and go to Virgin Active to avoid all these desperacy issues. Pathetic

Firstly, no lights in the ladies bathroom, no water in the men’s bathroom, did someone hijack the mirrors? Too many disco lights and not enough effective lighting. Why no smoothie bar? Servicing of equipment is not efficient. The drinking water tastes very off.
