We rented a car in Barcelona using Indigo. The actual supplier was Goldcar. The car was a bit "bashed about" with many scratches and small dents and we were reluctant to take it but, having been told that we would have to wait a long while for an alternative, we agreed to take it. I pointed to the rental man many damages which were not marked on hire sheet but was told they were less than 5cm so it was no problem. I personally added a couple of marks, which seemed particularly bad onto the sheet before signing it. We returned the car and another rental man checked it and started making marks on the rental sheet. I asked him what he was doing and told him that all these damages were there when we took the car. That we were told they were small and did not matter. He said that he was just making notes for himself. I asked if we were going to receive all our deposit back, this which he said CLARO, meaning of course! Only then I signed the sheet and we rushed off to the terminal. Imagine my disgust when a couple of days later nearly £600 was deducted from my deposit without a word from Goldcar. I immediately contacted Indigo with whom we had a contract. Cherie Carter, from this first call, was helpful, reassuring and calm telling me that she will to everything in her power to get these monies back. We then exchanged many mails, she was always just as friendly and helpful and she and I were writing to Goldcar to complain and get the resolution. Eventually I received reply from Goldcar refusing to reimburse us. I wrote back telling them that they were a dishonest outfit and were taking our money to cover the damage made by somebody else. Little did I know that Cherie never gave up and today, some 10 days after Goldcar mail to us, I just got a message from Cherie that she managed to get Goldcar to return in full the money they deducted. This is what I call an excellent customer service. Throughout this unpleasant situation I felt Cherie was on our side, believed our version of events and did her utmost to help. I recommend Indigo to anybody who wants a honest, good value rental in full knowledge that, even if things should nor go as one would hope, Cherie and her team will to everything to resolve the problem to customer's' satisfaction.

What negatives are there with the Indigo Service , we cant think of one , you have been super helpful at all times over the past 3/5 years or more and am more than happy to keep on using Indigo. However , no matter how good your service is , it is always a concern to think how is it all going to work out at the Hire Company desk on arrival !! We have used via you, Hertz and Avis previously , The Hertz service was the best from a comfort factor until the last Hire via you was with Enterprise for the first time on the 5th DEC 2016, all hires being at Gatwick South Terminal. The Young Lady there , we think her name was Alice or something similar , she was absolutely fantastic with her Customer service attitude , nothing seemed too much trouble to her from attending us at the desk , checking the outside of the car , right thru to a full instruction of the controls of the car Fabulous We were so pleased with her we made sure her manager knew this on the return of car day From a hire car point of view a Hyundai , this was good for what we wanted but driving it in dark country lanes was a night mare , in short the lights are crap , very very poor luminosity, not your fault i know , but if you lose any similar cars at night , thats the likely reason !! Well done Indigo for sourcing the right deals with the right Companies and even more so on value for money costings. We may be returning to the UK for a short break in Jan , so will contact you soon

Indigo Car Hire saved my holiday! I was not able to pick up a car I booked with another company, because I had only my debit card with me and did not realize I needed a credit card. Indigo Car Hire has the best customer service ever, the operator helped me to calm down and solved the situation very quickly - he found the perfect car for me, which I could take using the debit card (not easy to find I think) for a very good price given it was the peak season in summer + I needed it in 2 days. Everything was transparent, all of my questions answered fast, everything explained with patience and in a way I could understand even as a person with a different native language than English. This happened in 2016. This year I had another positive experience. I went to France and was thinking about visiting more places on the Riviera, but in the end I decided to cancel the booking and stay at one place. The whole communication was similar to the one I had before, only this time I used the chat. The operator was very friendly and helpful, I could cancel the reservation for free in the given time limit. In the end, when I changed plans and cancelled it, everything went the way I was explained before, so there were no fees and I could enjoy my holiday without any worries. I recommend this company and will use their services anytime I need a car. Continue the great job!

If you want to stress yourself, waste your money and your time, then book from them. I booked a car on 23rd of June for roughly £225 from this website, the following day, I went to the "Leeds Bradford Airport, at 7:30 am, where I was supposed to collect the car from the "easirent company". I found no one there so I phoned them, both "easirent company" and "Indigo Car Hire" but no one answered. One hour later, a man came and told me that there is no reservation under my name and that I did not book through the website. I asked him what I have to do and he told me that I just need to contact Indigo car and explain this to them. He said that we don't have any cars available neither today nor tomorrow. I phoned "Indigo Car Hire" to ask for a full refund as it was not my fault but they refused at the beginning and said that they can book the car for a different day . I told him that I’m not interested in renting for a different day and that if they do not refund, I will contact the customer right as I did not use the services so I have a right to have full money back. I told him that after this, I don't want to deal with them anymore, they agreed to refund but told me that it takes 22 days for processing, I agreed and I sent the email to explain everything that has happened. I got my money this afternoon 3 months after the incident.

the experience was perfect ! I don't know what I would do without their help. I'm so happy that I found this company online. I was panicking that I would not be able to rent a car in Geneva which was a must for me ! My holiday would be ruined without a car. I could just not manage without it. It was a big shock when i came to book and realised that all global companies in France now need a credit card which I don't own ! In other countries I always used my debit card or paid cash to local little firms. I panicked and searched around and I found Indigo. At first of course I was a bit suspicious if my reservation will go through as when I phoned up all the car rental companies at the airport, they all refused rental with no credit card. Indigo's employee was very helpful, explained everything and tried to calm me down and reassured saying how many satisfied clients they've had. Once I approached the Avis desk in gevena, they had my booking details and everything went more smooth and easier that I expected. All stress free ! Staff there spoke fluent English. I will definitely use Indigo company again !

I’ve used Indigo a few times over the years, having struggled to find car hire firms that accept debit cards as forms of authorisation for damage deposits, as hire companies always try and force people to use credit cards or carry out ridiculous background checks (Enterprise being the worst culprits for this). Indigo have always found suitable hires for me in the UK or abroad, including France and Romania, and no matter how short the notice, they’ve found a car in a suitable location at an affordable price. Their service is first class; they reply to initial email queries quickly, and arranging hires with them over the phone is a quick and easy process. If I have issues picking up the car (usually the hire car company refuses a debit card) Indigo will sort it out there and then over the phone. Their operators are always friendly and helpful, and have been every time I’ve used them. I wish that the big car hire companies would take a leaf out of Indigo’s book, and train their staff to be half as helpful as these guys.

Excellent experience using Indigo Car Hire, planned hire many months in advanced for a holiday in Italy collecting from Milan Malpensa and driving to Lake Como for the week. Best price we could find for what we needed. May I put out a special thank you to Matt @ Indigo who helped me from Day 1 responding to my queries and questions very quickly and advising of things to look out for. Got vehicle we had booked, albeit fair amount of damage to it, but still in one piece (damage due to previous customers, so nothing to do with Indigo as an agent) we made sure to take pictures of the vehicle before departing etc as you do for your own insurance when handing it back. Overall a great experience with Indigo and would massively recommend them for both UK and Europe hire. I will certainly be using them again the next time I require a hire vehicle.

Everything was fine. I was offered an upgrade to a new automatic hybrid Toyota Yaris with built-in satnav for 65E for the whole month, which turned out to represent a saving over the original due to the superior fuel economy. I have been renting cars through you since you first started many years ago (when you were called 123 Car Hire or something to that effect, if I remember right) and have always received excellent service. I also bought the excess insurance through your website, cheaper than from the rental firm but a far cry with a yearly policy I had for many years with icarhireinsurance.com and later with insurance4carhire.com, both UK based companies. Around 60€/year covering unlimited hires in Western Europe and full excess coverage. Unfortunately Brexit meant these two could no longer offer their services to EU residents.

Having booked to go on a short trip to a wedding my partner and I needed to book a car. Neither of us have credit cards and the amount of the deposit from most companies over £1000 was ridiculous. I came across indigocarhire online and spoke to one of their representatives Rob who was extremely helpful and considerate and showed great empathy to our situation. Was a bit dubious this may be a scam but after checking reviews and Rob on LinkedIn I was convinced this was a genuine company. Two days later I spoke to Rob again who remembered our previous conversation and who once again answered all my questions and took our booking. Thank you so much Rob what was becoming a stressful situation for us was resolved by you, so happy can just enjoy our trip now.

Upon arrival in the UK from Australia, I was surprised to find that my Debit Card used on a previous trip, only a year ago, was no longer accepted as a means of purchasing Car Hire services. The reviews on the internet widely reflected this; and several other grievances too, from disgruntled car hirers. I came across the INDI-GO website , and found a company that appeared to be acting as a broker to the general public, in the field of Rental Cars. To my surprise, a chat panel popped up, and through this medium, much valued and timely advice was received from Consultant Rob Selby, which resulted with our hiring the car we needed at the right price. From my very first enquiry through to returning the car at the end, all of the staff were highly professional and engaged with the customer. I arrived by plane late in the evening. The young girl who took my details was quick and efficient. When the paper work was completed she took me to the car. I was unfamiliar with that brand and she explained, in great detail how everything worked. I travel back to England usually twice a year and always rent a car at the airport. I can't praise the young lady enough. She explained every thing in the car and how it worked. As i was tired and had been traveling since early morning, her help was very much appreciated. I'm normally expected to work everything out for my self, so her help and kindness to an old lady was greatly appreciated.

Hi i spoke to a very polite helpful lady called Cherie. I had been left in a jam as a individual I was hiring a car off went A.W.O.L. at the very last minute After a quick conversation,i was left with my fingers crossed as i dont have a credit card. So a credit check had to be performed. After a nervous 10 mins i was called with the happy news that i was eligible( thank god else it would have ruined my holiday and mean I'd have been trapped in with the outlaws all weekend. Wonderful customer service... We could not have been happier with the service and help we received. Hiring the car was simple and straight forward. When we returned home we were wrongly charged for bring the car back empty by the car company (when we had in-fact returned the car with a full tank of petrol). Despite this not being their fault, Indigo took care of opening the case with the car company and sorted the whole mistake out for us. They could not have been more helpful and professional. No hesitation in recommending them and using them again in the future.

I cannot recommend these guys enough! We placed 2 monthly bookings back to back through them and they were so incredibly helpful which is hard to find with car hire companies these days. Really honest and upfront salesmen who have your best intrest at heart. They consistently came up with the cheapest prices for us too and the ability to book with major car hire companies wwith debit card through them was a real godsend for us. Honestly the best car hire company I have ever used and will probably usses them solely from now on. 10 out of 10.

We rented a car from them. They promised us that we won't need a credit card and can rent a car using a debit card. The conversation went well, they charged us and emailed us voucher, the voucher clearly mentioned we needed a credit card, they booked us with europcar which refused to give us car because we didn't have credit card. We called Indigocarhire, they refused to cancel our booking and refund our money. So basically we were left with charge on our card and no car. Their customer service is super arrogant and useless. It is a scam.

Having had 'hurts' with two of the major players in the car rental market it was to say the least most refreshing and rewarding to do business with Easirent car hire at Manchester Airport and especially their brokers Indigo Car Rentals of Leeds, Yorkshire. It is most unnerving when coming from one part of the World to another to discover on arrival the advance paid for vehicle is refused use of that vehicle and have to wait more than 8 months to receive a financial refund Unforgettable experiences be pleasant not to the contrary.

Extremely positive experience from start to finish. Rented the car over the phone without any hassle and picked up the car upon arrival in Pisa. The queue moved quickly and efficiently and the staff were helpful and accommodating. The car was clean and well serviced and we were on the road within 30 minutes from landing. The return of the car was as efficient and the attendant was cheerful and helpful. We will be recommending Indigo to all our friends and all our future car hire will be booked through them. Indigo Car Hire were excellent from start to finish. Nor only did they get me a great deal prior to my trip to Italy they also resolved, to my complete satisfaction, my customer service issue with the nominated hire company. On my return I was billed for not refuelling, I did, and for snow chains by the company. Indigo's Cherie Carter liaised with the hure car provider and managed to ensure my issue was resolved. I would not hesitate to book with Indigo again because of their proactive response to customer service.:)

Very good car hire company and very efficient great prices. All booked from Spain for puck up at Exeter Airport UK. The price was better than booking direct with car hire company. The agent was waiting when we arrived at 22.30 just had to show Spanish driving licence and card. Chose full with petrol and return the same No other additions needed .Gave me key, instructions for car park and upgrade at no extra charge from basic Corsa to Hyundai Tucson. Well pleased will definitely book again when we next travel to UK

avoid at all costs seriously, DO NOT USE!!! They book direct to dodgy car hire companies, promise you everything will be fine, make you feel like there could be no problems... until our flight got delayed 1 HOUR and we let everyone know, indigo and OK rent a car for us to be stranded at the airport and have no rental car. THEY HAD TAKEN OUR FULL MONEY OFF US AND HAVE REFUSED A REFUND. we managed to get Avis car hire with debit card for same price, don't be fooled into using these guys, its disgusting

We just used Indigo Car Hire to book a rental car with a tow bar for an extended trip taking our camping trailer in Europe. This is the best car rental company I have ever used anywhere. They are so responsive and helpful. We love the car we picked up—it was brand-new and in perfect condition. Indigo customer service is the best and their prices are too. Booked a car in Zakynthos with indigo which seemed to go smoothly until I arrived in Zakynthos and the price was more than double. I spoke to a guy called Ciaran and he told me over the phone it would be £4 a day insurance which was great. In Greece the insurance was double the car cost. I rang Ciaran from Greece and he tried saying that the £4 insurance had to be booked prior to collecting the car which he didn’t. Stay clear of indigo car hire it’s a joke!!!

Having used Indigo for multiple car rentals across the UK and Ireland, I couldn't recommend them highly enough. Consistently cheaper than going straight to the car rental companies, I have always found them super efficient and a pleasure to deal with by email or phone. Very satisfied with the service. The reservation was made with a debit card as I don't have a credit card, and the rental price was affordable. Upon arrival in Glasgow Airport got the car I needed for my trip in the Highlands. No unpleasant surprises, everything went as planned. Friendly and helpful communication over emails. The supplier they chose for me on this occasion was Avis, and a very positive experience with them as well.

Indigo car hire has been such a help in the past because I don't have a credit card. This service allows me to get very competitive deals without going through all the hassle of putting down enormous deposits at the other end. Customer service is excellent and will definitely keep on using you guys in the future. It is also rare these days to call a company and a human picks up within 3 or 4 calls rather than an automated service.

made hiring a car easy .. i was struggling to meet criteria for car rental because of documents and credit cards in both married and maiden names . my credit card did not match my drivers license and i needed to use a debit card instead . i ve got to say matt got everything sorted for me , picking car up was straightforward at heathrow airport .. would highly recomend indigo to anyone and the price they got me was good too !

I usually speak with Conner at Indigo car hire and am very happy with his service and attention to detail. He’s friendly, remembers me and it’s refreshing and time saving to be able to call and speak to someone quickly. The prices are fair and I feel in good hands - I’ve yet to have a problem and have used indigo for 5 years. They are particularly helpful in circumstances without a credit card, and for young drivers.

Was on the chat on the Indigo page today talking to Rob Selby. He was patient and efficient answering my million questions.. A group of 7 of us with NZ licences had really struggled to find a car hire that accepted debit cards, and Rob found us a cheap, affordable car that met all our requirements. We were having difficulty getting a hire car due to the DVLA back log and licences being renewed. I found Indigo on a search of the Internet. They were very helpful, especially Cherie who sorted a rental for us within a few hours. We were extremely grateful for her help with this. As it happens our licences arrived the day before the rental started but it was reassuring knowing we would be OK without.

This is the second time I've used Indigo to arrange car hire using a debit card, as I don't like credit cards. Upon arrival at the Avis desk on both occasions, i simply paid for the car, the extra insurance, and the fuel deposit, and off i went..... Quick and easy, with no difference from using a credit card when I used to use them. Perfect service, I wish all companies I deal with were this good.

Indigo helped me get a car hire due to me misplacing my license it was straight forward they done all the hard work, I contacted them with my problem and the next day I got confirmation with enterprise that they would help me out. 100% AVOID. Hired a car recently through Indigio car hire and ended up being charged in excess of €200 more than the agreed price. They lure you in with cheap prices then enforce huge hidden charges at the last minute. Customer service is non existent once their sale is made. Horrible experience.
