Weddings here are lovely! Our registrar was great, the room was beautiful and it's super good value! The only problem is one security guard who was really rude to me and my guests, and the 'interview' beforehand where they write out your certificate takes so long and leaves your guests sitting waiting for ages, even when you are there way in advance! There should definitely be a different process for this. Why my groom couldn't do his before our guests were seated. Super awkward, and i was left in a small waiting room for ages and then upstairs doing the interview while my guests shuffled awkwardly. Lovely ceremony, lovely day, gorgeous room, but this makes no sense. And get rid of that horrible guard.

Most of all My husband and I appreciate 2 registers, Nkechi and Tanita with all of our hearts. We were suppose to do ceremony at Room 99, 2:30pm, yesterday. But we made a mess so that had in a huge trouble. Then these two professional people helped us so much. Thank you for being patient and kindness. And spending your time for fixing our problem. Especially we really appreciate Nkechi, one of the registers who was leading our ceremony and found that gentle witness. Thanks to you, we felt calm down and could focus on our wedding with lovely smile. Really, Really. Again, We’re so lucky to meet you guys. So amazing. Angels. Thank you Nkechi and Tanita again.

As a photographer, I work in many many registry offices around the city... and this is definitely one of my favourites... mainly because the town hall itself boasts wonderful architectural features, the interior decor is classic and very typical and to top it all the area offers wonderful 10-30 mins walks for portrait sessions before or after the ceremony. What all of my couples mention afterwards too is how the building always feels so exclusive. Islington is very well organised, making you feel, as a couple, that your big day... is the only big day... and in a city like London, that's pretty special.

I am absolutely delighted by the positive vibe I felt when I visited Islington Town Hall earlier today. Customer service was top-notch right from the start when I asked the guy at the info desk where I should go to register on the electoral list, to the person whom I talked to afterwards. She made me feel welcomed, had a big smile on her face and it felt to me she was actually happy to help. She made sure I would receive precise answers to all my questions, and proper guidance as to what I had to do next. Visiting Town Hall today was the highlight of my day!

An amazing venue and staff! We got married on the 22nd July 2023 and we could not have chosen a better place. From the moment we arrived we were taken care of in a lovely and caring manner, there was no confusion on what we were doing at any time, all was just perfection. Special thanks to Elena!!! This is a sumptuous building within. Has marbled corridor floors, high ceilings, lots of natural light from circular ceiling windows and huge windows line the balconies and corridors. Lots of lovely plaster work picked out in green and white. Broad staircase to the circular Council Chamber which also has a circular ceiling window with lots of wood panelling. Made my daughter's wedding even more beautiful because of it! If I hadn't been so enraptured by the wedding, I would have taken loads of photos of the building's interior.

I'm a professional photographer and always happy to take pictures at Islington Town Hall, it's such a beautiful venue with many photographic spots! The corridors and rooms are all so lovely and flooded with amazing natural light, This is a great place to get married. Especially the Council Room: the atmosphere of the room is fascinating. The registrars are also incredibly sweet and laid back, giving photographers complete freedom to capture the happiness! A pleasure to photograph all my happy couples here.

I have photographed numerous wedding at this beautiful venue, and I'm always excited to work there. The Council Chamber provides the perfect backdrop for the ceremony - the natural light through the ceiling, circular layout and historical setting all adds a uniqueness to the pictures. Both the internal and external staircase is very useful for group shots and the marble corridors are wonderful settings for more intimate couple photography. Highly rated!!! I have been photographing quite a few weddings at the Islington Town Hall. All the rooms from Council Chamber to Room 99 are wonderful light and spacious with high ceilings and large windows. Each ceremony room has their own unique feel to it and it just elevates the ceremony and celebration of a wedding. The staff are amazing, all registrars friendly and helpful. A pleasure to photograph all my happy couples here.

Love Islington Town Hall! Especially the Council Chamber ; a wedding in the round is the best! The light is great too and so much space which is really important to creating great photograohs. The registrars are really lovely too and relaxed and allow photographers free rein to capture the joy!

A great location for a small - medium registry wedding. The building has great character, including octagonal council chambers, marble floors and large steel framed windows, that allow natural light to flood in... It really is a photographers dream.

Always love photographing weddings here, the hallways and rooms are all so beautiful and filled with incredible natural light. This definitely feels an iconic place to get married.

Some good times here, great hub for all things local and a good selection of concerts when opened. Blood donation setup is much better here, compared to other local spots.

Seems to be very popular for weddings where most of the guests speak foreign languages. And some of the Brides... Calling them ugly is a compliment.
